Delicious food- we both had the pies which were freshly made and absolutely yummy. Such friendly service from all the staff. A real gem of a place ❤️

I love cackleberrys! Recently visited on a Wednesday, was busy so would book but staff were extremely accommodating!Such a warm welcoming friendly cafe/restaurant, would recommend to anyone, whether it’s couples, with friends, family, girls lunch or anything!A wide variety of delicious cakes, pies and other food, lovely drinks, friendly staff, it’s spotless in there and was very impressed with the front cabinet food display!I am and always will be a regular!Thank you to everyone at Cackleberrys

So much nicer than the usual ‘high street chains’.A warm welcome and a surprising number of breakfast options. We had different versions of the breakfast muffin and both were generously filled and very tasty. Nice coffee. Nice tea.Next visit I plan to explore the impressive display of homemade pies, pastries and cakes.It is relatively small and the seating is limited. It also seems to have a good local customer base so it might be a good idea to book.Unfortunately currently closed on Wednesdays as a result of staff shortage.

Felt welcomed as soon as I walked in the door I had just gone to a different bakery down the road and found out they had nothing veggie, but crackle berries had a really good choice of veggie lunches and the food was really lovely so was my coffee! Really impressed the staff were lovely and friendly I struggle going out on my own but I felt really welcomed here. Will be back for sure! Special thanks to sue who was really attentive and made a really nice ice coffee :))

We LOVE Cackleberrys! We found it by accident and wow are we glad we did. The cafe itself is lovely and the food is out of this world. Everything is home made and given so much attention to detail. There's a lovely selection of pies and pasties, beautiful selection of homemade cakes and the portions are very generous. The staff are so friendly, it's all around a fantastic experience. We've been back already and will be coming back for more! I'm looking forward to taking my family when they're down.

I can honestly say that having just popped in for a sandwich for lunch, I was treated to the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Hand made, freshly for me. I have already recommended to all in the office and will definitely be popping in again. Thank you

I've been here a few times and its always so lovely. Great choice of delicious food, the cakes, pies and pasties are lovely. The staff are so nice and friendly. I met a friend for coffee and cake and the waitress overheard that it was my birthday so when my slice of cake arrived, she had put a candle in it and written Happy |Birthday in Chocolate on the plate, it was a lovely touch. I took home one of their savouries because they are lush.

Amazing service and delicious homemade food. An absolute gem of a find. Would highly recommend. Can’t wait to go again!

Due to lockdown we had a takeaway cream tea . It’s all about presentation and taste , and you would not be disappointed. The variety inside a ribboned box was excellent, tiny rolls,savouries,cakes and to cap it all a delicious scone with all the trimmings. Will not hesitate to recommend them to all our friends and family. Well done

Was rudely told off by the lady working for being seated too close to other customers.. where another staff member sat us. Wouldn’t have minded but the way she spoke to us was accusatory, rude and unnecessary. Will not visit again.

My favourite place to eat, drink and relax... ever! During Covid I ordered a cream tea to be delivered to my sister in law for her birthday and Edwina made it happen, for which I am so grateful. Everything is freshly made and the smell is divine. The staff are welcoming, so no idea why they’ve been called rude!!!! ( plus it’s were not where!)If you’re planning a trip to Fareham you should absolutely phone and book a table or pop in for a takeaway.

Love this place, the food is fantastic. Family run. People that care about their clients.My husband LOVES their homemade pies. Two weeks ago when we couldn't get a table we had a take away and even filled our freezer with pies!!Very think is homemade which is rare today!I would say to book because they are so popular and especially now with limited tables due to Covid.You won't be disappointed.

Hot chocolate, cake and staff are fabulous! The service is top notch. It’s nice to go somewhere where you can have a laugh and a giggle with the staff as they are human

Used to be friendly, but after trying to walk in today we where laughed at for not booking won't be back.

Mum's visited several times pre-covid and always said how good it was so once they reopened we decided to have a takeaway and have been back several times since! It worked really well. Edwina was happy for us to pre-order via her Facebook page and come to collect the food at a later time. She's also really jolly and friendly, and the food was lovely. The milkshakes are good, as are the brownies and other cakes, and sandwiches / toasties and mum & dad loved the pies too.

Wife and I had breakfast on 14.09.20 and before we even sat down I had ordered 2 pies. One rabbit & 1 steak and stilton. We had a breakfast muffin each and they were professionally prepared and freshly 8nice I ordered 2 more for the in laws. Great food and great service (if a little rushed off her feet)

“Are you open?” Yes, and we were so glad you were. What a diamond you are in the desperate town of Fareham. Tea for two and a variety of scones, were excellent and at exactly the right time of day, when so many other places are closing!Great service from friendly staff and saw some amazing pies being brought fresh cooked from the kitchen! ...the rabbit comes out of the hat ! Visiting old haunts and people on a nostalgic trip to the south coast, I considered the chances of getting a great afternoon tea in Fareham to be pretty slim. So wrong ! This family run eatery has got much going for it, especially when compared to the ‘chain’ offerings which litter the main high street. Character & an energetic ‘feel’ compliment some great quality fayre. The clotted cream tea was delicious and ‘oh so fresh’. Edwina is the Creator of some very fine scones - first class in every respect - as well as being a friendly, efficient and ‘on the ball’ front of house. An excellent find !

We visited today and had a mixture of food on offer, sandwiches were loaded with tasty fillings and served with such a vibrant side salad. Our friends brought their little girl and the lady serving us was so good with her! Will definitely be returning (especially to get more cake!!) Thanks for providing a great lunch for us!

Decided on a post lockdown treat and took the grandchildren for tea and cakes. We had to book in advance at present. We had our temperature taken outside before we were allowed in and had to give our name and address which is all good. There was adequate spacing between tables. The cakes were delicious and there were several varieties of teas to chose from. They also did savouries such as pies and quiches, we must try those next time. The ambience is very relaxed and friendly and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Definitely recommend them.

we went to fareham and thought to try a new coffee shop and we went in and warm welcoming and we got two black coffee's and a tea which we think its the best coffee we had in Fareham to date and normally the coffees we have are never filled to the top but we were happy to see them filled to the top and amazing experience

Thus is now a regular Saturday brunch treat venue. Tasty fresh food served attratively and friendly welcoming staff.

We enjoyed two wonderful breakfasts today, my Husband had Eggs Royale and I had the Power Breakfast! After a dreadful breakfast in John Lewis Oxford, it was good to taste good home cooked food, presented well by staff who are courteous and friendly!

An amazing place to chill either on your own or with a group. The homemade goods are to die for. The staff are friendly and they make you feel like family. A must if you are in need of a beverage and/or food.

There are few places left to eat that offer such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere as that which you will find at Cackleberrys in Fareham. This is a small family run, very popular and much loved local cafe, brasserie and coffee shop that prides itself on quality food, excellent service and fabulous value for money. I go there at least once a week to experience all of this. I’ve never been disappointed.

Had a lovely breakfast in this small and welcoming cafe in Fareham , friendly and helpful staff , I had a lovely breakfast and was tempted by the selection of pies.The coffee was lovely and the staff took the time to ask about my day - would be happy to visit again.

Service was wonderful, everyone was so friendly. Lovely calming music. Absolutely gorgeous chocolate cake and wonderful tea selection, will return soon to eat other cakes available.

Wow what can I say the food is amazing and home made as well as the fabulous cakes, I had the spiced apple cake and it was to die for as well as the pesto, bacon and goats cheese tart which was superb, would highly recommend to anyone local or visiting Fareham

Nice lunch but over charged! Didn’t notice till I got home / messaged and no reply. Receipt isn’t itemised so you have to go on menu to check. £5 extra per customer not a bad profit each week. Please check your bill!

This small cafe, with a slightly industrial feel, and it’s welcoming staff is tucked away opposite the High St. It does a large selection of homemade pies, pastries, sandwiches and quiches, all very tasty. Our sandwiches and jacket potatoes are always perfectly presented on a slate plate with a side salad unlike the usual tomato, lettuce and cucumber slices. This one is a riot of colours, perfectly chopped and very appealing to the eyes. The staff are always very friendly and it always feels cosy and welcoming every time we visit for lunch x

Cackleberrys is a little gem in Fareham. The food is excellent, the portion sizes perfect and the staff are warm and friendly :-) We ended up getting take away cakes as they looked so delicious!

I popped in for coffee after realising the usual place I meet my friend wouldn’t accept the dog. So glad we did, I had my 18 month grandson with me & the staff were so helpful and accommodating. Been on my doorstep for 5 years and can’t believe I hadn’t been in before. Will defo be back to try a pie and can’t recommend high enough. Thank you for a lovely visit from Amanda & Charlie xx

In the area. Frequently used when passing through. Excellent hearty soups of the day, coffee and licenced. Great range of pies. All homemade. Limited number of covers. Cooked breakfast options including skippers, not often seen on menus.

We love this place - delicious home made food in generous portions, friendly atmosphere and lovely staff - what more could you want?! Nothing is too much trouble. I wholeheartedly recommend this excellent café - booking recommended at busy times.

I have been to CACKLEBERRYS three times now and my feelings and respect for this beautiful little place just get better.

We visited this little cafe on a Wednesday afternoon for a little bite to eat. We were blown away with the choice! The service was brilliant, coffee was lovely and the good was amazing. Very good quality good, well presented and tasted lovely. Would definitely recommend!!

A horrible wet day & we popped in here for coffee & cake. There was a happy birthday banner up for one of the staff. I said it is my husband's birthday too. Our cake came out beautifully presented and with a lit candle on it - the staff & customers all sang Happy Birthday! So very kind and thoughtful.

Fabulous food and lovely staff. Really well worth a visit. They take bookings if you want to be sure of a table. Highly recommended!

Lovely fresh cooked breakfast rolls with sausage and egg. Nice hot tea in a pot. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Not the cheapest but worth it.

Excellent service, tons of choice of great looking cakes (and what we had was excellent) and loads of fresh stuff such as gorgeous looking pies being baked and left temptingly around! Definitely worth a visit.

Returned to cackleberrys for lunch before going to the movies, it was as good as the last time i went it’s reassuring that they are maintaining their standards.

I popped in on my own for a Cup of tea, and also tried the homemade Tea cake, which was absolutely lovely, baked to perfection and toasted just right. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this lovely family owned and run cafe, and would highly recommend you give it a try

Friendly staff, great range of baked pies, tarts and cakes, tasteful surroundings and great coffee - what’s not to love? So much better than the chain coffee shops in town. Try their ‘love bars’ - simply delicious!

This cafe is outstanding for customer service, friendly staff and most importantly delicious cakes!

Regularly use Cackleberrys rather than the "chain" coffee shops. More expensive but the coffee and gates are "to die for"!!

My friend and I love going to Cackleberrys on a Saturday afternoon for what we call out our pie and cake indulgence prior to going to the theatre. Nothing is too much trouble and with such a lovely selection choosing does take us a while. Lovely food and lovely people by far our best afternoon tea venue.

WOW. Couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome. Atmosphere lovely and staff so engaging. Food was delicious and we were not made to feel rushed or “in the way”. Great fun and nothing was too much trouble! Would definitely recommend! Thank you cackleberrys 😃

A good choice of varying foods and cakes the menu wonderful and very good prices, the staff are very friendly, the seating area and tables are kept clean and tidy.

We have lived in Fareham for 7 years and have only today made our first trip to this lovely cafe. Food was delicious. Staff took great care over order for my 5 year old daughter. I just wish we had visited sooner! We will be back very soon.

Excellent service excellent coffee and excellent food 10/10. Thoroughly recommended as all of the food is home made (not home cooked - which can mean anything!) and the owners really care about the the cafe.

We'd heard some great reviews on Cacklenerrys and having walked past it a couple of times it always looked busy. We popped in for lunch and were not disappointed. The food was fresh, cooked on site and fantastic. The staff were also fantastic and really friendly. Definitely recommend this place and we'll be back very soon. The honey, orange and parsnip cake was amazing!

Just had a great lunch here. Cannot recommend highly enough. Home cooked pies amazing as is the colourful salad with gorgeous dressing. Interior lovely and cosy. Thanks very much, we will definitely return when in the area.

Having twice tried to get a table for lunch on different days, we succeeded on the 3rd attempt and was not disappointed! Well worth a visit for great food and friendly staff. Run by a mum, dad and daughter who really know their stuff. All food is freshly cooked and very well presented. Will definitely go there again next time we’re in the vicinity

I called before we arrived to see if they had a table, which they did, but explained that they had a dishwasher leak and there would be a wait. Which I accepted. We arrived at 10am and were the first ones in. There was a bit of panic, which again, I understood but when the phone rang one of the staff members shouted “oh, go away”. Not very professional when you have customers seated and in ear shot.

Small, friendly and excellent food. Everything handmade, portions good size and very tasty. Lovely and clean...Lovely toilet (always a selling point for me😊) Thoroughly recommend a visit, I will definitely be going back.

Have only ever had breakfast here, but been back a few times now. Never had the same dish, but always very good. Nice coffee too. Can get busy though so not always guaranteed a table.

Very friendly staff and ever so caring due to my dietary needs. I am vegan and they put together this lovely off-menu avo, rocket and mushroom loaded sandwich for me. The atmosphere in the quirky café has such a buzz I couldn’t hold back from going there again. So sweet that you cater to my needs, I really appreciated it. Came away with a full happy stomach.

We recently had breakfast here with a friend. The service was very good and the food was good. The place doesn't accommodate many tables so I would definitely recommend making a reservation if you wanted to eat mid-morning. We were fortunate as we arrived soon after it opened and by then there were already a number of tables already taken. Only slight negative thought, we ordered a croissant and we were told it would take a little while to prepare, as it was frozen. I would have thought it would be at least freshly brought in from a nearby bakery. Overall a pleasant experience and certainly a place to return to.

I would like to challenge the recent negative review of this establishment as my husband and I were the customers whose coffee was recklessly knocked over and splashed over several other customers. I must say that the entire incident was caused by a careless customer barging through a gap that was obviously too narrow for her.

Our reserved table was ridiculously squeezed in to an already overcrowded restaurant. We had to wait a while before we were acknowledged on arrival. Whilst we were selecting from the menu, a customer endeavored to squeeze between our table and the adjacent high table with two bar stools. It was impossible to tuck in the unused chair at our table. She inadvertently knocked the high table sending another customer's coffee flying everywhere. Fortunately no-one was burnt but coffee splattered everywhere. The poor customer was mortified but it was not her fault as everywhere was so cramped - health and safety issue! Again it took too long for staff to assist and the attitude was appalling virtually implying that it was the fault of the customer who knocked the table. Our table was splattered with coffee and we were not acknowledged - just a glance at our chairs. This member of staff who was possibly the manager then walked off with a huge sigh of frustration. Another customer behind us was complaining to a waitress about his food so that was the last straw and we walked out. Such a shame.

This was my first visit to cackleberrys and we went as a large group, reserving the tables was recommended. Food was exceptional from the various types of sandwiches, something for everyone and the desserts, well what can I say .... YUMMY I went back more than once for more !!! The food was so good I took home some of the picnic parcels and lemon brulee which the family thoroughly enjoyed the next day. The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend and I will be paying another visit. Well worth a trip here.

It was my second visit to cackleberrys. We were too late for the breakfast menu but cheekily asked if they would make us eggs benedict and sausage sandwich, this was no trouble at all.

Good breakfast selection using top quality products. It is difficult to not follow up with a cake as there is a wonderful selection of them, all home made. This extends into a great array of savoury treats (so pleased they also do take away). The staff are very friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. It is now a regular Sunday morning outing.

I came here for the first time today with my sister after a recommendation and I'm so glad we did. Some of the tables were reserved unfortunately, which I thought strange for a cafe, but we did manage to find a seat. The array of pies, pastries, quiches and cakes in the display cabinet was incredible, they all looked fresh and delicious. We both chose the cheese, tomato & ham quiche and it was absolutely fantastic, served with a gorgeous side salad with the tastiest dressing! With two Americano coffees the bill came to more than £18, but it was worth it. This place is totally charming with very friendly staff that were always smiling - the sign of a good business!!! The decor is lovely, it's spotlessly clean, the toilet was very pretty and pristine and this will definitely be our first visit of many. Brilliant.

Reasonably priced excellent food . wide choice, 2 free salads with whatever savoury you pick. always fresh. a small restaurant, wise to book at lunch time. not open in evenings.

My daughter recommended this cafe in the town centre for our lunch because she's been there many times. We chose our pies from the displaycase and ordered lattes too. I had the chicken pie which she had recommended. It was delicious. It was served with a beautifully presented and colourful side salad. Our two pies and lattes cost just £20, a feast. I want to go back to try another of their homemade pies. I would also like to try a slice of one of their beautiful cakes on display. This was a little jewel of a coffee shop in Fareham.

When we visited this lovely little cafe we were impressed with the look and ambience of it, together with the lovely display of food and the friendly, happy staff. We enjoyed our drinks- the knickerbocker glory hot chocolate was delicious- as was the cake, and the food being enjoyed by other patrons looked and smelt delicious.

Had lunch at Cackleberrys today and loved it. Great coffee, lovely pie (made with stunning pastry) and a salad on the side which was delicious! The service was excellent too! Thoroughly recommend!

What a find this place is. Not only breakfast but throughout the day there is a wide range of foods to tempt a variety of tastes.

Delicious food to take away or eat in including homemade quiche and pies - worth the extra cost! Short of space if you want to eat in.

I enjoyed a wonderful ham sandwich bursting with filling all freshly made,full of delicious flavour while my partner had home made quiche which was equally delicious and hot,both served with a lovely fresh side salad.The tea and coffee were good quality.

We went to Cackleberry’s recently for afternoon tea for my birthday, it was excellent! I’m a huge fan of afternoon teas and honestly it was amazing.. so much variety & lots of it. I highly recommend Cackleberry’s - we regularly have take out lunch from here and the staff are so friendly & attentive and the food is consistently great!

Me and my friend went to Cackleberrys on a Friday and it was a really lovely visit. The waitress who served us was really friendly and helpful & the food was delicious. The cafe was very clean and well decorated. It’s nice to find something unique and different in Fareham .

Visiting my sister in Fareham we had breakfast here. Found it to be a welcoming atmosphere, pretty decor and a relaxing hour was spent here on 2 mornings . Staff attentive, polite and smiling. Food tasty and time and effort spent on presenting it was really appreciated. I think my sister must visit regularly !

I've only recently discovered this place and is my second visit. I'm compelled to leave feed back as Its been a truly pleasurable experience. They even remember my kids names from over a week ago and a single visit (I hope my boys were well enough behaved lol).

What an amazing find. Popped in this morning for brunch. Had the most delicious Eggs Royale and my husband had the breakfast stack.

Accommodating staff as we wanted to change our bread for sour dough. Service was friendly and quick. We had the breakfast stack which was lovely. There isn't a lot of food choices for breakfast and with the choices they had could do a few more with the same ingredients.

Lovely family run cafe, such a nice difference to the franchise cafes. Lovely interior, great choice of cakes, pies, tarts, coffees, teas etc. Same said by my boyfriend and friends I brought there.

I've visited here twice now, once for breakfast and once for lunch. The breakfast was incredible. I had eggs Benedict and it was easily the best one I have had in a long time, lots of sauce, perfectly cooked eggs and lots of really good quality ham. I had one of the pies for lunch and it was delicious, even the side salad was incredible! It also came with a special lime and chilli coleslaw that was divine! I wish I lived closer as would probably be here every week what with all the delicious, high quality homemade produce you are surrounded by. I need to say a special thank you to the staff as well. Me and my sister were made to feel so welcome for lunch a few weeks ago, despite it being very busy and us both having a young baby with us. One of the staff members helped us with our buggies and showed us to a table. My daughter had just been in a full on meltdown mode and I wasn't far off giving up on the day and going home so this beautiful warm welcome from this lovely lady turned the current disastrous mood into one of pure calm! Thank you lovely Cackleberrys, I hope to be back very soon!

Enjoyed going here for afternoon coffee. Whilst not in the middle of town I was able to park in High Street and disabled are able to stay for more than the regular 40 minutes. Good hot coffee and service. Will visit again.

Astonishingly good customer service, the likes if which I thought I would never see again. A family run business serving exquisitely tasty food. If it were any more central, it would be thrumming with custom. Well worth seeking out!

Not written on here for awhile but not to say I've not visited only been in 5 maybe 6 times in the month.lol. still the best in Fareham. I've recommended to family, friends, colleagues and even customers whom all have came back to me and said what a great place to eat and what a great choice of pies,quiches, sandwiches and most of all the yummy cakes. Also dont forget the breakfast I can personally recommend the power breakfast. Why go anywhere else in Fareham when Cackleberrys is the best. Friendly helpful staff too.
