Nice Levazza coffee on the go whilst walking to Cowes. Friendly service. No complaints whatsoever. Stop by.

Nice clean place to stop for an ice cream along the esplanade, selling Mr Whippy ices & New Forest flavoured ones. They even do an ice cream sundae for £3 plus hot & cold drinks etc. The staff were friendly & there's a water bowl put out for visiting dogs to enjoy. Lovely to just sit outside watching the boats sail by while eating an ice cream.

We stopped for ice creams after walking through the town and along the seafront. The New Forest salted caramel ice cream was super but my husband said his Mr Whippy 99 ice cream was full of ice crystals and was unpleasant. The cabin appeared clean but the people serving were not very unapproachable.....no pleasant chat given that there was no queue.

Stopped here for ice creams... Great choice of lollies for the kids and scoop flavours for some of the adults, although the favourite choice was the 99 whippy... Standard was very high as always...also a lovely spot to sit and watch the boats go by...

I visit this place at least once a year after sailing over from the mainland, usually taking crew with me, saying what great 99 whippy's they sevrve. Well, shock horror, no more! The place looked as clean and well presented as ever, but the ice creme was badly watery and lacked any vanilla flavour. Worse of all, the lady and gent serving (owners?) lacked any pleasant engagement with their customers (ie me and my party), and it seemed I was doing them a favour spending my money. Perhaos they'd just had a row! Anyway, this is a shame as (a) it's a great stroll along The Green and (b) it never use to be like this and (c) they have no competition at their end of Cowes. Could complacency be an issue? Either way, the proprietors need to make sure any engagement with customers is a pleasant and genuine one. Go visit, and see what you think. Thanks.

I was served by a lovely lady saturday evening, soooo helpful, i wanted chips and a veggie burger, and she was honest and told me the chips are cooked in beef fat, i wouldnt have been impressed if i had eaten any after being a vegetarian for 42 years! Soooo much appreciated, i love honesty too, a big believer in it, also they did me some fries cooked using something else. Thankyou all again. Top notch service, after driving around what seemed like forever to try and park near, so all your kindness was very welcome. 😁

This is another example of a business that it does exactly what it says on the packet coupled with a friendly, efficient team and an amazing kitchen. It is predominately a coaching hotel and a very successful one too. Our last night at the Shanklin Beach Hotel it was full with 3 coach loads and several independent couples (including us). The hotel offered dinner, bed & breakfast. The dinner menu offered 3 courses with 3 choices per course. The same applied for breakfast, including a Full English, plus self service cereals, fruit juices, tea & coffee. They must have invested in some impressive equipment in the kitchen as, within 5 minutes of ordering breakfast or dinner, is was delivered to the table tasting freshly cooked. The room was a good size with an on-suit with shower, TV, wardrobe. tea & coffee making set. Not luxurious but clean, with comfortable beds. It has a well stocked bar and it's own car park behind the hotel but you do need to register your registration number with reception. Whether coaching or independently exploring this interesting little island, if it includes the Shanklin Beach Hotel you will enjoy your stay.

My wife and I were staying at Whitecliff bay holiday park and fancied fish and chips, we chose this chippy as it was the nearest to us, what a mistake that was. We got refried chips that were inedible, they went in the bin. The fish was ok, not much taste though, at £15 for 2 small portions of just about edible fish we fllelt well and truly ripped off.
