C Food & Eat in Highland

To actually be there when they say they are going to be, was looking forward to this but yet AGAIN they didn't bother to turn up!!

These experiences are unique where the quality of the seafood could match any top restaurant and it certainly did - and you want to prove the sceptics wrong.This is no ordinary food van Firstly it is located in the picturesque harbour of Helmsdale. The staff are so friendly engaging knowledgeable and passionate about their job The seafood is all fresh and caught by the owner who is a fisherman We had a langoustine salad which was generous reasonably priced at £8 considering how expensive langoustine are A scallop and monkfish skewer was being prepared as we waited and could not resist an image - we were tempted but unfortunately we had made other arrangements further up the coast

The best sea food I’ve ever tasted! I had crab salad and my husband had sea food skewer - incredible scallops and beautiful crab! All service with a smile. Opens at 1!!! We arrived at 12.40… it was well worth the wait!

We were staying in a guest house , stopped by whilst exploring the harbour , huge fresh menu , had crab pâté with oatcakes , all packed up with a fresh salad and cutlery to take back to room . Wish I tried the Languostines, will have to return!

First visit to Helmsdale. Beautiful fishing village. Walked along harbour and saw C Food and Eat about to open. Had langoustines with lemon mayonnaise and crab pate with oat cakes. Superb fresh food in a wonderful location. Then had scallops with black pudding! Very friendly staff and good value for money. Will definitely come back.

The best fresh seafood, stunning scenery and great staff. Couldn't ask for more. We must have gone back for more 3 times. Definitely worth a visit.

This is a great wee seafood van at Helmsdale harbour, the family have their own boat so the seafood could not be more fresh. We had an excellent langoustine salad and an equally fabulous lobster salad. Excellent value for money too.
