We ordered spinach and cheese pie, and Greek salad, all fresh, all yummy, strong recommend!

Passed this cafe dozens of times but finally went in recently for a freddo cappuccino and orange pie. It was absolutely wonderful! Kind staff, and the freddo cappuccino and orange pie tasted EXACTLY as it does in Greece. Wonderful to have this cafe in the neighbourhood for whenever we want a trip to Greece 😉

Loved it! The cheese spinach pie was amazing, and the service very friendly.

I came in today to the Byzantium cafe today I had a Greek Coffee ☕️ and a cake it was excellent and I will be back again soon

I have come here a couple of times this past year. I love the coffee here. The manager/owner is very warm and welcoming. Their orange pie and other pastries (savoury or sweet) are to die for! So amazing. Their hot food and salads are also great. Definitely recommend people to come here.

Not a good cup of tea, disappointing

I discovered the café on my first trip to London 2 years ago and loved it, so I had to stop by again now! The food is relatively expensive but absolutely delicious!

This place is a go-to when I’m in the area. It feels like I’m back in Greece and a perfect escape from busy London. Wonderful management and great coffee.

We happened upon this place one morning and tried their coffee and pastries. Coffee was good, pastries were a bit dry. I’d like to come back and try the cooked breakfast next!

Small but great restaurant with a great ambience. We had cheese pie, tea and chai latte etc. Everything tasted good. The only downside: the chai latte was served in a cup without a handle. Because of the heat, I was only able to hold the cup in my hands after waiting about 10-15 minutes. Gladly again. :-)

Profit and nothing more. £18 a stale bun and £30 second rate wines. Only for fools and ignoramuses

I "only" took an ice matsha latte on the go, but it was the best match latte I've ever had. Really tasty and perfect mix. The service was very nice and the pastries and dishes all looked very tasty. The ambience looks inviting and cozy. A really nice cafe in a quiet location.

Somethings never change. Poor service in the 1990’s continues to this day. Obnoxious atmosphere, self imposed illogical seating rules, heater outside with no gas connection and general indifference towards customers.

Super slow service, takes forever to the lady on the till to prepare a coffee ☕️. Customers can't wait forever to get an order. Previous owners offered better service. It's a shame cause its a nice shop.

The new management have completely transformed Byzantium Cafe again. The atmosphere is lovely, warm and cosy. The food is simple and delicious, like home made, and beautifully presented. Finally the coffee is good again and the choice of cakes is great. Well done and thank you for making Byzantium such a wonderful place again.

The iconic Byzantium Cafe of the 90's had lost its edge. For years it was struggling to find its identity. The new management, completely changed it and although it's not a traditional Greek cafe any more, I have to say that it's brilliant! Imam - stuffed aubergine, the Greek Salad and the mixed salad were all great. Really nice and traditional flavours, nice presentation (without being OTT), friendly staff and reasonable prices. What's not to like?

Everything is just great - coffee, service, atmosphere! They don’t have a lot of variety food wise but what they do is really yummy. Perfect for families and kids but also if you want to read in peace. My kids are super well behaved there. They got crayons and toys to play and it’s always clean like at home! We practically live in this place. Also a rare occasion where everyone who works there is just wonderful! Well done for building such a team!

Hello Saturday, back at one of my favorite places! Greek Goodness 😋 so many times when eating out I like to go in reverse. What does that mean, you might ask? Well, it means I like to start my meal first with something sweet. I know you are puzzled a bit?! ? 😂 But no worries, try sometimes. Today I had Greek coffee with a delicious chocolate cookie that was full of dark chocolate chunks. I like to dip in my cookie in my coffee. It does remind me of my childhood when grandma made kids coffee and cookies were given and we were included as part of that ritual. Some of the most special memories! Something I always order here is spinach pie or spanakopita, and I make sure and tell them to warm up extra. So tasty and crunchy on top. Cheese inside was perfectly balanced and not too salty as I have had in some others places in London. The breakfast eggs called Kayana are absolutely one of my fave things to have here! They serve it with the green salad and the eggs are placed on top of the grilled bread! To me kayana always needs to have correct spices including oregano which makes this eggs more flavorful. Otherwise it would be just plain scrambled eggs. Right amount of tomatoes, spices and feta with olive oil and you will ask for one more order, trust me! I hope you will try this place and I might even be there, so don’t be shy and say hello! Have a be blessed weekend dear people! Cheers to Life! 🙏☀️

Un cadre plein de charme pour prendre un petit café ou pour manger. Des produits frais et goûteux et des propositions simples mais avec une petite touche d'originalité. J'ai adoré la salade grecque avec l'excellente fêta et son écrasé de pain bio au levain croustillant. À noter également la gentillesse de l'accueil et du service et la possibilité d'acheter quelques produits traditionnels grecques. Top!

Wow! Just got home from a friends birthday and I must say, the food and service was impeccable. The salads were just perfect, I’m not even a salad type of guy, so that says a lot! The owner was attentive and showed commitment to keep us happy throughout the night. Will 100% recommend this place. My wife and I are already planning our next visit.

Very good little restaurant. Small menu card, but the Greek pasta was good. The cappuccino was fantastic! The best in London, with free cookie!

Cool setting and athmospere, but somehow remanding modern Greece. They offer take away too. You can enjoy breakfast or lunch as well as dinner, choosing frome salads, pies, pastries and cakes and daily specials. These ones are not divided by portions, but only by trays, so you can enjoy them only if you're two or three. We ate slow cooked beef with mash. The beef was good, even if it seemed more a Piedmont brasato than a greek stifado, but we didn't like mashed potatoes, because there was too much nutmeg for us. Anyway we found quite high quality, quite low prices and absolute kindness. Would go here again!

I came across this peaceful Greek while riding my bike .The staff was friendly and held the door open so I could bring my bike inside. I tried the vegetable tart, which was incredibly tasty and the pastry part of which melted in your mouth as proof that everything in the cafe is made from scratch. The coffee is outstanding, and the cafe's long wooden tables make you feel at home.

The restaurant feels like you might be dining in the home of a lovely Greek family. Everyone was polite, helpful and informative. The food was delicious and authentic, and prices affordable. My friends and I had a great evening out.

We had an amazing slow cooked beef with mashed potato and the best Greek salad ever! All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and I love the fact that is big long tables that you get to share with more people and potentially engage conversations. Amazing home-cooked delicious food! We had the slow cooked beef with tomato sauce and mashed potatoes and it was AMAZING! Good quality meat, delicious mash - what can I say - really brought back childhood memories! The staff is so friendly and nice feels like so nice and welcoming - would love to go back again! My visits here were beyond excellent, some of the best dining experience in my life. Using a new concept of all diners sharing the same dish, this place delivers rich flavours and quality meals with pride, and rightly so. The Greek salad is amazing, and the olive oil is authentic. The atmosphere is great, and the service impeccable. A must visit whenever I am in London.

The cafe closed down years ago and the new restaurant opened. You are reading the wrong reviews for this place … stupid google maps. 😳Delicious food and wonderful service. Quick note the website is a different cafe (Dundee) and the number if not a london code is wrong. Hopefully google maps will update soon.

Lovely place and lovely people. I tried the quiche and it was very good. I also tried the spinach pie (spanakopita) and it was not as good as the pie. The pastry was hard to chew. The filling was pretty okey though. The salad seemed kind of loveless and a little bit “decorative”.

5/5 recommended. My cousin and I stumbled in after trying a coffee shop around the corner that was too packed. We were looking for a place to work from our laptops for a bit and get a nice coffee. The man who greeted us was warm and kind and the coffee was delicious!! exceeding expectations. I accidentally knocked my cup over and spilled and the gentleman came over to help me clean up and offered to remake my cup for me! Naturally I felt slightly embarrassed, but he made us feel right at home by bringing two little treats after my snafu moment. I felt right at home! And an added bonus- the music is amazing! shazamed multiple songs. Excellent experience!

Gone are the old plastic chairs and cheap and cheerful wines. The souvlaki wraps have been pensioned off and I’m quite sure that there are no bacon sandwiches available. In their place is a beautifully decorated cafe with a small menu of specials and some pastries. I had a very fine chicken and Greek pasta dish which was made from simple ingredients of the finest quality. The cakes look excellent, and I look forward to trying one after Easter. Certainly I’ll be back.
