This restaurant is what it says it is. Good burgers with good staff and situated in a wonderful historic art deco building.

Very good food, even the vegetarians in the family had great burgers to eat. They have their own beer brand that tastes brilliant! The milkshakes are great as well, you can choose either with alcohol or without- important to know that it is very big (enough for at least 2 people). Amazing staff, we recommend !

After weeks of traveling through Europe, one can begin to crave the creature comforts of home. Byron gave me exactly what I was craving and did so spectacularly. As an American, a REALLY GOOD BURGER can be difficult to find...I was not disappointed here. Paired with bottle of Gingerella and a basket of fries - I felt right at home!

Good food and friendly staff. As it was late we could not site outside. The burgers were above the usual fast food chain standard and the Cesar salad was of a high quality. Good value for money in central London. £20 per head including drinks.

Stopped in here for lunch, the service was excellent and the burgers cooked to order were delicious. We really enjoyed the food and I loved my cheese and bacon fries.

I was staying around the corner from this place and stopped in for a burger and a beer. Service was quick and the burger was very tasty--medium rare with a nice cheddar on top. The house salad was very good as well. There's a nice selection of craft beers.

During my ten-day stay in London, I ate at Byron's twice, and both of my meals were delicious. The restaurant is right around the corner from the hotel where I stayed (The Academy). Their shakes are good, too!

My niece was acting in a RADA production and 10 of us family popped into Byron last minute for a quick burger. We found the staff really friendly and accommadating. Our food arrived promptly and was delicious and they were more than happy to make alterations to their various burgers. Would love to go back again for a more relaxed and longer meal

I've always found I have the biggest expectations when it comes down to burgers. I had a regular burger, but it was absolutely amazing. The presentation and taste was top notch and I loved every bite. I also had an oreo milkshake and that was incredible too. Both best burger and milkshake I've ever had. I will definitely come again for a great burger and milkshake.

We ate here last Saturday night. We were surprised at how quiet it was, however it is out of the way a little.Friendly waiter (from Sicily) looked after us.Service was prompt.Food was so scrummy. Out children had the Cluckosaurus Rex which they loved. My husband and I had burgers which were cooked and presented very well. We had seen people eating the mac n cheese when we had previously visited a Byrons and thought we would give it a try. We were not disappointed...it was delish. In fact, as I write this I an wishing I had a big bowl of it now! The cheesy fries are wonderful too.

We ended up eating here after our initial choice had a huge waiting time. We were not disappointed.Large restaurant so plenty of seating. Staff were friendly and helpful. Arrived on a thursday evening with our 2 sons with no booking and found it easy to get a table. Service was very good. We ordered wings and nachos to share to start and our only complaint was that the burgers started to arrive while we were still finishing our starter making us feel rather rushed as the table was small and there wasn't room for everything. The food was absolutely delicious and we all agreed they were the best burgers we had had in a long time.

We could enjoy the terrace since it was a sunny day. The food is good. Cheese chips were not that great(I expected something else, like cheddar, but it was a paste more). The service was fast, polite waiter.They have a lot of seating outside, not a big queue even if it was lunchPrices were not big.

The service was amazing, the food good as always. My waiter knew all about the origins of the meat they were selling and told me more about the farm it came from. I was in a hurry and they did not make my food on time and I missed my train... Luckily it was not too important but they lost a star there. I have to say it was not too slow either but I did tell them I was in a hurry.

Visited last evening on one of the hottest days of the year in London. Never been to a Byron restaurant before but loved it. Sat outside, service good and attentive without all the annoying up selling. Liked the fact that there is a choice of cheese for the cheese burger and as we ordered a dish with no bun we received a separate side salad free as standard. Good fries too.

I have never been to a Byron before. The restaurant is easy to find and you can eat outside. Service was swift. I chose a classic Byron, fries with freddar cheese and a Byron larger. Well impressed that they give you a frozen beer glass. I like the fact you can choose to have the burger cooked medium. The burger was excellent. I would rate it just behind Handmade Burger co but a close call. I also had a side of olives. Cost £22.50. I would definitely go again!

Went here for lunch with a colleague, sat outside in the sunshine, and had a great meal. The staff were lovely, helpful, and friendly.Will definitely return now that I know they are there.

Yes the burgers were really good too :). Stopped in for a quick dinner because it was close to our hotel. Quick, friendly service, delicious burgers and the onions rings were without a doubt, the best I've ever had!

I came here especially to try the Euro 2016 Byronaldo burger, and it didn't disappoint. The burger itself was really tasty, incorporating Bovril onions and bread-and-butter pickles - a winning combination! It's great that Byron do these new items as they are original and it keeps you wanting to come back to try something different. The sweet potato fries and macaroni cheese were also really good. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the restaurant is a good place to catch up with friends, with a nice outside seating area. The waiter who served us was very friendly and attentive. Byron always deliver great service and consistently good food - definitely my top burger restaurant to visit.

Jet lagged and 20 feet from our apartment, our family stumbled into Byron's. Basic American burger and fries, although their fries are better than most American places. There are a few options for vegetarians (Portobello or bean patty). Highly recommend the Avocado, Quinoa & Baby Kale salad. Yum!! Dad thoroughly enjoyed his milkshake. For Americans, the courgette is zucchini. There are a number of locations throughout London.

The natchos for two were so good! Big gobs of fresh guacamole and salsa and sour cream. The Byron burger was a hit with the hubby, and I loved the big Cobb salad but couldn't finish it after sharing the natchos. The fries were left untouched too. Portions are a good size so order accordingly.

Rainy Sunday afternoon waiting for go to the exhibition in the British museum. We stopped in Byron and order one B-Rex burger and one classic burger. Never tried something like this. All the flavor was just and explosions in the mouth. Staff were so nice and kind. We will back soon

The brioche-like bun is firm and holds up the hearty burger.The burger and chips with skin were both yummy. You can get a milkshake with or without liquor. In fact they have a full bar and more. It is reasonably priced and conveniently located to the British Museum. Great if you are tired of packaged sandwiches.

I say gad and not God because it's Landann and not London right? Visiting London to see a friend & honestly had the best burger I've ever had. The burger being medium rare makes it levels from your everyday burger. I want this burger, I need this burger, and I'm sorry Meatloaf but I will forever love this burger so the burger should be glad because 3 out of 3 is grand. Oh and the staff were very nice too! Very unusual for London!!

I have visited Byron for a late lunch after an warm recommendation from a friend. My burger was delicious...same as the fried sweet potatoes. But the best of all was the Virgin Mary I drunk. The guys there do know how to make it! It was unbeatable! And a big thank you to the guys who served me. Really nice and professional...but also warm and funny. I will try to go again,even if my stay in London will be very short!

I recently went to this Byron after walking past. Sat down and ordered my burger and asked to bring it without bacon. 20 minutes later my editor brings me the burger and it has bacon in it so I asked them kindly to bring me a different burger because I asked for without bacon. The waiter took it to the cook and all he done was take it out and bring the burger back. I told them this and they just acted like I'm a crazy person. So I just had my fries, left the money for the fried on the table and left. A woman next to me was having issues with her order too. I'm not sure if this is a regular thing or I went on a bad day but it was kind of crap. Apart from that the prices are the same as any Byron. Around £6-7 for burgers and £2-3 for sides.

I would not suggest going to Byron. The quality of the burger is normal. It is not a place that you would want to get back. The burgers are small and you pay the chips if you would to have them as well. In addition, it is expensive you end up paying 15 pounds just for a tiny burger with chips, even without a drink.

The place is on a really nice street (Store Street) and very quiet. It has the standard menu of burgers, which were fine but not really so amazing, not too many options but sufficient. The waiter was trying to be funny, but was not really funny.

I'm usually a fan of Byron but they aren't the cheapest option of the burger chains so they really need to monitor standards to maintain consistency. The food here was fine but the restaurant was cold. It was really cold outside, and I appreciate staff might not feel the cold themselves if they're busy, but that wasn't the case on our visit. The restaurant just felt like it was shutting up for the night although it wasn't late. So overall a disappointing visit.

Sorry, but this is the first time I've scored less than 3 since joining Trip Advisor. The burger could have been hotter, and in particular the chips were only lukewarm. My server was even less warm, perking up only at the end (funnily enough, just after I had added a gratuity!). I have been to other branches in the past- but I can't see me returning to this one.

As a vegetarian I am often stuck with some kind of pepper burger or mushroom and goats cheese. I was happy to see that Byron had increased their vegetarian options, then, to include a bean patty. However, the patty did not taste fresh - rather it seemed like it had been defrosted as the shape was too perfect, and the taste was quite unremarkable. As it is in competition on account of its similarity with GBK, who offer 3 or 4 vegetarian options, it seems a shame that they pay little attention to vegetarians. Byron is also quite expensive, for what it is - I pay on average £15 for a burger, chips and milkshake. In terms of this particular branch, often it is chaotic and while the staff are really charming and very polite it often feels quite stressful at lunch.

This place is a stones throw away from my work so I've enjoyed many a lunch break at Byron. It's slightly more than I'd care to spend on lunch but is always a real treat when I do.On this occasion I had the merry cheesemas burger with chips and the Christmas special milkshake (with a splash of whisky). Perfection. The staff were, as always, friendly, on the the ball and witty. I'm sure I'll be back - after pay day $$$$

I am sad to write that we were very disappointed with our meal at this branch of Byron, which was a shame as I actually booked it several weeks beforehand and it was the start-of-holiday celebrations for us. The waiter was friendly but did not listen properly at all, and brought us the opposite to what we asked for in a couple of cases. Very disappointed with the quality of the food as well, particularly as I have been visiting Byron (never this branch before) since 2010.

I am ussualy a big fan of Byron.Yesterday afternoon visited this branch of Byron and received the worst service ever. The italian lady in charge was rude no greetings at the door, 20min to get a milkshake, the chips were burned...I will not recommend this branch to any of my friends.

We had a party of 6 and were sat in a booth, which was very comfortable. Loads of space for our coats and personal belongings. Our waiter was so friendly and hilarious, made our dinner extra fun. We shared 2 portion of nachos, which came with salsa & guacamole (which was homemade). We all had burgers, which are cooked how you like. Everything was fresh and delicious. None of us felt overly stuffed, very satisfying. Will be going again.

normally a great place for a quick bite and a really decent burger normally... but really off today. Dried overcooked overcharged burgers, rubber dried out chicken, burnt buns, chips that tasted like they'd be reheated. Zero effort went into this meal and it really showed. Was it chef's day off? A burger should be a luscious experience not a dessicated reheated waste of money

My wife and I came here for a late night burger and beer. As usual the food was well cooked with good ingredients. We also enjoy the craft beers that Byron's always carries. The food is consistent and I recommend any sandwich with the bacon which is always tasty.

Brittisk hamburgerrestaurang med stort utbud av kött- ,kyckling- och vegetariska burgare. Det fanns även andra rätter än burgare. Många olika sideorders bland annat en mycket fräsch och god Cole slaw. Trevlig och serviceminded personal samt prisvärt. Skulle lätt gå tillbaka dit igen.

What more can I say. Great burgers, cooked to order. Great range of shakes (inc malts) wines and beers. The setting is quirky and the service is excellent. I'll visit again when I'm in the area

Unusually, this place looked a little tatty for a Byron. Yes it was clean enough, but fittings looked a bit worn.Service was incredible, they couldn't do enough for us, catering for a table of 10 was no problem even though they were fairly busy, and splitting the bill was easy.Food was nice, beer was cold. Yeah it's not cheap, burger and chips are about £14.So in conclusion, nice enough food served in an ok setting, but served by brilliant staff.

We called in at 9.30 in the evening, made to feel v welcome in this minimalist looking restaurant. There is a limited menu, we choose the Sweet Caroline Burger with a Byron Burger which were really tasty but the highlight was the courgette fries which were excellent. They have a good selection of IPAs in cans, all well priced and we really enjoyed our evening, we would recommend and revisit.

Our service took longer than usual so a good percentage was removed from the bill. This was not requested and made the experience even better

Ate here in my own on a sunny evening at a table outside.Staff could not have been more lovely! Food was as tasty as Byron is usually, particularly their specials - Le Smokey was delicious if expensive at £10+ for just the burger. Overpriced but nice quality, large portions and always filling. I wish they'd do better priced beer, however. £6 for a can of their own brand lager is extortionate. Very nice outdoor space for a summer's night and people were dropping in all evening. Recommend and would return to this branch.

15 of us prebooked at 12.30pm and got a table, food and drinks during a busy lunchtime spell.staff helpful and burgers were great. Now they have 50 locations in England - sadly none in Wales or Scotland [?yet] - will definitely have another

Second visit last weekend, some years apart and left wondering whether this chain's evident popularity has caused it to raise prices, reduce portions, alter menu etc. in ways that make it really poor value for money. Yes, nice burgers undoubtedly but not so good that they should be charging you a top end price then adding on everything else that you would want - small salad, chips etc. as a quite pricey extras in tiny portions. No Byron, your burgers now just don't cut the mustard! Friendly staff and somewhat iconic setting for this restaurant don't add up to fully enjoying a pricey burger lunch!

This is my favourite branch. Lovely decor, friendly and attentive staff and large patio area for eating. The food is terrific value and always fresh.

We went during a quiet time but the service was excellent and the burgers came out quick as a flash. They are exquisite. Simply perfect with a pickle on the side and a pint of cider.I'll be back.

Visited this well known chain which is situated in a quiet street. The hamburgers and wedges were served promptly and the staff were friendly - probably the best waiters I have ever met - polite and attentive without being pushy. They were excellent with some tourists - nothing was too much trouble. Happy to return to this branch again :-)

It's not cheap, nor overly expensive, but if you want a burger that's a world away from McDonalds, you won't be disappointed here. Burgers are medium cooked (unless you ask for well done), and accompainied by simple, but tasty trimmings. Byron does not do fancy "burger towers".Fries or skin on chips are extra, which obviously adds to the cost, and you will probably be asked if you want olives or tacos "whilst you're waiting for your meal". Tap water is provided with no complaint.You can eat quite cheaply, or push the boat out with drinks, and add on's such as coleslaw, courgette fries, onion rings, etc. They do a child's menu, which is good value. You can also get a take away.The venue itself is interesting. Apparently, it was a petrol station in the 1930's and has been sensitively turned into a restaurant.

Good food had a short meeting here with my boss food was great even though it was busy the service was still quick and drinks were good

Wanted a quick supper before an early night and this was just round the corner from our hotel. Hadn't booked but didn't have to wait for a table. Friendly waiter, food was good (two Cobbs salads and a burger with cokes and a ginger beer). All came in good time. It was about half full, but quite noisy with lots of chat, so a good atmosphere. Bill for 3 of us was just a tad over £50, so not too bad as the courses were fairly substantial. Would be happy to eat here again.

The food was burgers at their best and the service was by young people enjoying their work and enjoying serving. Plenty of food and all good!

Great food really tasty, but tables a bit too close together, felt like you were sitting on top of the next table

Odd shaped restaurant. It was busy so we had to sit right by the sinks, luckily we moved so we were not right by it. The burger was nice but I now think these places are just over priced for what they are and are on the burger bandwagon. £5.50 for a beer in can seems excessive. The waiter was very good and explained about how busy it gets at peak times( think he felt a bit bad about the tables by sinks that are used by staff.

The serving staff allowed us to choose which empty table we preferred. They were knowledgeable, able to advise on which burger would best fit my preference. The food arrived promptly - burgers, fries and onion rings were all fantastic. And then half-way through eating the meal, our waiter returned to the table to advise us that he thought that our onion rings (which we thought were fantastic) weren't good enough, and he replaced them with a fresh batch that were even better! What more can you ask for?

I found this place simply because the restaurant I wanted to visit was closed that night and this place was close to my hotel.However, I was happy because at Byron's I had one of the best hamburger and fries of my life. The service was fast, waiters were very nice and the price was fair.If I have the chance, I will definitely come back and I strongly suggest this place if you happen to be in the area or you want a tasty hamburger.
