I visited burnham fish and chips following the reviews and all I can say is they defo are the best! The chips are amazing and love their chilli sauce. The best cod in town. The staff are amazing always going above and beyond. Will be back

Yes! Proper fish and chips! Hubby and I live in Maidenhead and the local chippy just doesn't cut it. We rarely eat out and when we fancy fish and chips, we just want something that will hit the spot.This is the best fish and chips we've had BY FAR. We got haddock. Beautifully fried, lovely crisp batter. Chips were delicious. Absolutely gigantic portions. Tartar sauce was yummy also.Customer service was super warm and friendly. The shop is nice and bright and very clean.Loved it. We will be back.

I have been getting takeaways from here ever since I was a little girl, so quite a while, and every single time I have been the food is always delicious, portions great and I have never been disappointed. I have, by now, had a large range of what they have to offer, and every new thing is as gorgeous as the last. Just by partiality, however, I will always say that the good old-fashioned fish 'n' chips are the best. Absolutely wonderful, and me and my family, back when I started ordering from there, and my current one, recommend 100%

Travelled 2.5hours to visit my partner who is working in the area. Ate in, the restaurant was spotlessly clean, excellent service, and the food was amazing! Well worth the drive!!

Arrived home after 8 hour drive from Scotland and their scampi and chips takeaway hit the spot. Great heaps of well cooked chips, generous amount of scampi tails in crIspy batter. One large chips does 2-3 people with medium appetite. Cod also yummy.

It was cold and raining on Tuesday afternoon, me and my partner needed some warm comfort food for lunch and decided to visit Burnham Chips shop. The shop opening hours are from 12 -2pm and 5pm-10pm. We arrived just before opening hour and waited in the car for the shop to open, once inside I ordered chicken mushrooms pie & Chips and my partner ordered veggie spring roll and chips. We decided to eat inside and waited for 15 minutes for the food to arrive. When the food arrived I was literally drooling to see my food on plate. The chips looked delicious and freshly made. We were very satisfied with food and left the shop happy. We will definitely visit again. If you love fish and chips then Burnham Fish & Chips is must visit.

My eldest son lives and works in Los Angeles, so on a rare visit to the UK he was craving good old British Fish and Chips. A quick search on TripAdvisor revealed this little gem, about a 15 minute drive from Heathrow Terminal Five. We were one of the first customers through on Saturday lunchtime and although a little slow off the mark, when the food arrived it was delicious, well cooked and devoured by hungry travellers.The staff were friendly and obliging. I would suggest they open a branch in LA!

Great fish and chips, large portions and freshly cooked. Kept very clean inside, including the oil, no black bits on your chips! Always busy at the weekend, for good reason. Good value for money and friendly service. The homemade tartare sauce is delicious!

The best fish and chips around......Very Polite and helpful service and plenty of choice, the only downside is it's always so busy, but that shows how popular it is and they always have plenty of staff to serve you.

The Best Fish and Chips in the local area as simple as that!!Just have to look at the size of the que on a Friday and Saturday night. Even if I was to move out the area I would be driving back to Burnham Lane on a Friday night for my Chippy tea.Great owners who have been their for years.

Just visited the chip shop and ordered takeaway chips and Chicken Mushroom pie. Chips we okay nothing spacial. The CMP was yummy. On next visit I will try and eat inside the shop for fresh chips and will try and take some photos.

We eat here about twice a month on average and have never had a bad meal. The food is always of a high standard and tastes great. We have had a lot of different things off the menu including the veggie wrap, chicken wrap, usual fish & chips and kids meals which are of great value.

Came here after landing from holiday and the fish suppers as good as ever. Incredibly busy on a Friday evening which says it all. Fish freshly cooked as were the chips and still hot when you reach home to eat them. !

You can tell the fish and chips are good by the length of the queue in the shop, especially on a Friday night when it goes straight out of the door, What more can I say.

Queues are normal at this amazing fish and chip shop. The same family have run this successful take away for decades, and recent refurbishment means you can now also eat in. Don’t go anywhere else in this area - this is absolutely the best for miles!

This place serves the best fish and chips ever. I even had the deep battered sausages and its so delicious and tasty. I highly recommend this place. Its very clean and very well maintained

We had a large and a medium cod cod bites and a spicy bean burger; three small chips and some beans. We were visiting the area and took out back to our hotel. The place was really clean and very efficient as well as friendly. They wrapped the food really well, which helped us get back to our hotel with them still at a good temperature. Family of four all agreed it was delicious, and it was, all of it. We have a tendency to be a bit picky but I really would recommend this fish and chip shop. Thanks.

We noticed on the web site that eat in was possible and when we arrived we were made extremely welcome with a friendly smile and very quickly they arranged tables to accommodate the 5 of us. The Fish & Chips were fantastic and the service first class

Probably one of the best fish and chips I've had for a very long time. Me and my wife thought we would eat in and was a great choice. The food was pipping hot and made fresh not like other places where they have had the fish in cabinet for hours. The service was great and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend!!!!!

Great for both eat in or take away, one of the busiest chippies I've eaten in. Food is well cooked, portion wise is just right, not too many or too few chips. Have eaten here on a couple of occasions, and can't speak too highly of the service. Time it right, and you won't be stood out on the road in the queue!

Eat in or takeaway, these guys know wha they are doing in this family- run immaculate business. Fish is excellent, so are chips and mushy please reassuringly mush and fluorescent green. Very yummy and you can call ahead and order fresh.

Not our nearest chippy but good quality so don't mind the extra few mins travel. They have a varied menu inc veggie burgers and onion rings (for my teen) and chicken wraps (for Hubby) which is a bonus. Kids always have a cod bites meal. The fish bites are like a mini cod fillets. They do an adults version too but if wanting a small lunch I'd advise the kids one as plenty.Make sure you tell the staff what you want when you go in if ordering nuggets, cod bites, burgers etc otherwise you will have a wait. There's a list on display of what to order straight away if there's a queue.Well recommended

We have been going to Burnham Fish & Chips for just over 10 years now. The team there are always a joy to talk to and catch up with, they always give a great service with a smile. This family run Chip shop has a number of loyal customers and I'm glad to be one of them.We have tried other places to give them a shot, however the food and service never lives up to Burnham Fish & Chips. The Must Haves : 1. Fish and Chips (of course) 2. The Spicy Chicken burger is amazing 3. The homemade Tartar sauce I highly recommend Burnham Fish & Chip to all who want the best!!

It's a bit of a mission from Seer Green/Beaconsfield but well worth the time taken. The helpful chap in charge double wraps the cod and chips so it will still be hot after my 15/20 minute drive home. Has become our chippy of choice as the grub is so good. Keep it up boys!

Got take away for our grandsons birthday some of us had cod and chips and others sausage and chips was still hot when we got home very tasty and gave us some free Drinks etc

We wanted a fish and chip shop with tables to eat in before our running event at Dorney Lake, and this was close to where we were staying. The fish was freshly cooked, a good size even for a small portion, and chips were plentiful. My husband had the large fish and large chips, and these were both nicely served on a plate. The place was quite busy and obviously deserves its good reputation.

I went in on a Sunday night just to try it out as it is our local. We got a range of things, two scoops of chips, some burgers, fish, and chicken nuggets for five of us. There was more than enough chips. We probably could have gotten away with just one. A pretty good place, fast service and obviously the popular choice locally for convinience.

We have never been disappointed with the quality of the fish, the chips and the service. Specials - such as Rock or Haddock - are prepared on request.

Having been over 10 years in situ I believe, this chippy has a reputation for great portions (large chips...wow! Could feed the 5000!), cooked deliciously.Never had a poor take-away and visitors always compliment the taste when they've had it ...no more needs to be said really for a local chippy!

Let's just say I went Padstow for a weekend break , and wanted to try a famous Tv Chefs fish and chips (RS) ... Very expensive and not very good ... Compared to Burnham fish and chips ... Burnham fish and chips are much cheaper and Way way better .........big portions and great fresh taste....

Food is cooked to perfection, with the batter always crispy never soggy. Luckily it's local to me, but would recommend to anyone wanting the best take away ever to give it a try and I know they would return. Lovely friendly helpful staff too!

We usually phone and order ahead. 3 large cod or haddock and 2 large chips services 4 - 5 adults easily. Crispy batter, god quality fish, all the usual sides. A regular haunt and you can eat in too if you want, though only a couple of tables

We find it's always fresh and crispy. Not covered in oil like some I've had.We are lucky to be within walking distance to it and have friends who come over to also enjoy the food hot and fresh!

This was my local chippy and been using it since i was a kid. Even though I've moved away I still come here. That says it all really. I don't think I've eaten better fish n chips. Good thick fish with nice crisp batter. The size of the fish is bigger than you get anywhere else. Chips are nice and crisp too. No soggyness or brown bits. The sauces are great too. Tartare sauce and chilli sauce made in house. Same owners been running it since I started coming here all those years ago. Friendly staff.Definately a favourite of mine.

I am spoilt in that I have two good fish and chip shops near to where I live. This one is just beaten by the one in Burnham High Street.

I had a really long day at work so as I got off the train I could smell the fish & chips, which made me hungry so I thought I would get a take away. I ordered cod and chips and a battered sausage, it looked very tasty and I could not wait to dig in. As I got home and ate my meal, I was quite disappointed, the fish was soggy and greasy which then made the chips taste horrible as they were even more greasy and gave off that oily smell, the battered sausage was wrapped separate and that tasted fine, that was all I ate. I ended up binning the rest. Don't think I will eat fish and chips again if this is what It tastes like.

The shop is spotlessly clean which is reflected by a 5 star food hygiene award. The service is always good and friendly. The chips are not so greasy and the fish batter is light and crispy. Slightly more expensive than some other places but well worth it!

Bar none this is the best fish and chips shop around. The fish is amazing and the fact it's cooked in rapeseed oil means it tastes that much better, plus it's healthier. This was originally a fish and chip take away with a few basic tables at the front of the premises offering a place to sit down and eat. The fish and chips has always been to a high standard in my opinion and I believe they have won various awards. Over recent years they have completely refurbished the premises which now offer a stylish seating area. There is also a large wall image depicting images of the sea and boats which is very attractive for customers to enjoy while waiting for their food order. The fish is usually cooked to order when you arrive. Would recommend.

The shop now run by brothers Bal & Kolwinder have a wide range of fish, offering the option of the breaded option for your choice of fish.The bar is clean & on Friday night the bar is busy with eager customers.You can get the normal range of saveloys, pies & chicken pieces & there is also a menu for young children.so if you're local or can get there by car I say give it a try.

We have been using this Fish & Chips for about six months and always found the food to be first rate and a good size. We ring first as we prefer haddock to cod and they need to cook this from fresh. Unfortunately the railway bridge between us had now been closed (temporarily) so F&C is off the menu for a month!

Always consistently good food, best in area, have been using for years. Friendly efficient staff . Recently refurbished so now it is even better.

I went into this establishment excited about trying their food as the place looked very inviting and I had previously seen their newspaper advertisement.I ordered 2 portions of fish and chips after somewhat of a wait which I didn't mind as it was a Friday evening. The staff seemed a bit flustered running back and forth and there was some shouting back and forth between the kitchen and counter which is ok. However I was slightly concerned that the gentleman that was frying the food didn't have a net over his long hair or beard.Upon getting home I opened my fish and chips and tucked in. I was most disappointed with fish as it was very oily and greasy. The chips weren't too bad but I was extremely disappointed by the meal in general. I found the food too oily and greasy and the fish was unappetising. I don't know what the fish is cooked in but it most definitely isn't for me.

The food here is excellent - hot, fresh and plentiful. The only drawback is that there is often a queue, but you can still order by telephone and collect. Otherwise, as we like haddock and it is cooked to order, just tell the staff as you arrive that you want haddock and it is put on to cook immediately. The place is very clean and tidy, with a huge amount of money invested recently to great advantage and you are served by efficient, cheerful counter staff. Most recommended.

One of the best fish and chips around Slough/Maidenhead. The staff are very courteous and the food is served fresh. If I remember correctly, they start frying from 4pm for the evening.

The only fish and chips shop in the high street..... normally good, sometime the chips are little undercooked, but otherwise it is good.

I have been coming here for years (every time I visit my mother as I am no longer local) and it is the best fish and chips shop ever.It is a family owned business (30 years) and has recently been refurbished and it is now the 'poshest' chip shop ever.It is not cheap but the quality is great and well worth it.They now have a small sit down area which is quite contemporary and very pleasantGive it a try if you are in the area
