Burgers and Dogs in Arun

Have ordered here before and always loved it until now. I ordered a B & D cheese burger which is my usual with a side of skin on fries. Got here on time and driver was lovely. However as soon as I opened up the box I was confused, the branding that B & D usually have has disappeared and the food all looked slightly odd. Burger patty was thick and hard, couldn’t eat it as it was basically inedible (see photos) tried to eat chips but they are hard and definitely not skin on fries. So disappointing from them as they’ve always been super tasty burgers. £15 not worth spent :(

Got a takeaway delivery. Burger over cooked and very dry, also placed for a specific time an hour in advance and still 20mins late. On the plus side very generous on chip portion. Unfortunately won't be using again.

Have ordered a few times the last 3 orders have taken over 1.75hrs to get here and been stone cold but at least I got something , tonight tried ordering twice online both times order cancelled, tried calling but number rings 3x then cuts of , how can you run a business like this it's gone massively downhill over the past 12 months with service and quite

Tried to contact B&D but this seems the only way. Had chicken burger with fried egg delivered 1730. Didn't finish which is odd for me. Had sore tummy in bed until 0300 then the worst diarrhoea and violent sickness I've ever had, took tablets for diarrhoea which thankfully worked but the violent vomiting continued. Will be reporting further. Dreadful experience.

I never leave bad reviews as I think contacting the restaurant directly is the best way to resolve any complaint regarding food standard. However sadly I have had no option as the communication has been less than satisfactory with such a serious negligence. I got a takeaway delivered, first time using this outlet. The burger was raw, not pink but cold and raw. The chips were soggy as was the chicken burger. Sadly my partner didn’t realise it was raw until he felt the coldness inside as he has no taste buds. After trying to communicate with the restaurant immediately after and getting no response. I tried their email, constant calls to outlet then after 6 days messenger via social media. That got a response which was nothing short of unprofessional and with all evidence sent, still wouldn’t issue a refund and even questioned me why their food was raw. It left me puzzled and extremely frustrated. It is still ongoing but i think the safety of other consumers is foremost why I am now leaving this information.

Takeaway not visit. Received a raw burger and I mean raw. Chips soggy. So was the chicken burger. Attempted contact with emails, telephone calls and finally got response via fb messenger. No apology. Still awaiting a refund 6 days later. The communication from them was nothing short of Insulting. Questioning me why it’s raw. Also accepting it was unacceptable then trying to justify it by it being pink…. Never been one to write bad reviews however there is absolutely no justification for their lack of reply, let alone selling food that isn’t suitable for consumption. Despite receiving proof of all attempts of contact refuse to acknowledge they had and still ongoing. Will NEVER use again. £28 wasted money. Food standards agency need to know about this type of negligence.

Love the food but I accidentally made two orders and these guys have yet to refund me for a meal I didn't have.. Very frustrating and disappointed from a long term customer.

Burger beef patty was cooked nicely, bun was nice...it lacks a bit of sauce inside the burger. Fries were nice and crispy. You have to be careful how you put your order at the till, it seems if you say I want the burger and fries and drinks that this doesn't count as a meal deal! The other thing is the taste of the drinks out of drinks dispenser does not taste right, we tried a few, all were not tasting right

The burger was massively undercooked and the meat tasted off. The hotdog went the other way and was massively over cooked and was incredibly dry. Absolutely awful food. Won’t be ordering again

They forced you to order online but you were not able to pay by PayPal. So, we cancelled our order but we were very hungry and sad.

Terrible food! The hotdog was so soggy it completely fell apart, the frankfurter had absolutely no taste at all. I ordered the pulled pork fries as a side and they had minimal flavour too. I also ordered the pot of cheese sauce to put on the fries but it came in an obviously used container as it stunk of seafood and the cheese sauce had no flavour so I wasn’t going to use flavourless, seafood smelling sauce. Would not recommend.

Got a takeaway Dirty Mexican - great portion size and very tasty! The chips were crunchy and delicious! The down side is the price - but that appears to be the case for all Burger bars..

Vegetarian burger was just a mushroom, some aubergine and halloumi thrown in a brioche, a bit steep for the meal deal.

Bad experience and poor service. Ordered a Pepperoni Jack Burger with extra cheese. When it arrive no peppercorn sauce, no salad, no bacon jam so we phoned and were told another one would be sent. We asked for new fries as the original ones would be cold and this was acknowledged and agreed to. After a wait the member of staff spoken to turns up with a new burger no extra cheese or bacon jam but the rest was there.She claimed the grey smear on the original burger contained the sauce and bacon jam although it was clearly neither. No chips were brought as she claimed she hadn't heard us ask despite answering in the call that she would bring them. Will never order from here again, not because they got it wrong but because of the awful way they handled it afterwards.

Never left a review in my life, but honestly felt like I had to with this one. Food was absolutely terrible. The “skin on fries” looked and tasted like microwave chips, soggy and colourless. The hot dog was vile, tasted as if it had been sat on a hot plate for hours, dry and crumbly, covered in cheese sauce to the point it was dripping and the bun was falling apart. The burger tasted like a cash and carry special, sour, out of date salad which was completely limp. Mac n Cheese was the best part, because it tasted of absolutely nothing. I hate to waste food, but it was completely inedible and two full meals thrown in the bin, wouldn’t even give to my dog. Called the restaurant to make them aware as this was an UberEats order, simply got told that we’d get a discount next time, as if we’re ever going to order again. I’ve never felt the need to leave a review before but felt like I should warn people before they waste their money too. Currently on my way to McDonalds, much better quality.

Food arrived stone cold, Triple cooked chips were limp and horrible no where near as good as in the past! Our burgers although they looked OK tasted terrible! The salad was old and limp! even the tomato was off! So unfortunate that his time was a very poor standard overall! Such a shame as we've had some lovely food in the past but this was the last straw so Burger king from now on for us.

The hot dog I ordered from them was absolutely disgusting, It tasted like it had been under a hot plate for days no flavour and crumbly. The Burger was below average, it was similar to on microwave burger. Overall terrible will never order from there again!

Took 1 hour and 20 mins to get here, have eaten here a few times and always been nice..better than nice...until tonight, took ages to get here on a Wednesday night, sweet potato fries were well over cooked, almost burnt but soggy as waited so long maybe, sausage was so dry...felt like it had been under a hot ate for 3 hours!

They don't deserve a single star. Still waiting on my food order from 2 &1/2 hrs ago, no one is answering the phone whatsoever, they're shutting in 20 minutes and they've taken my money. How can they run a business this way? If they're too busy then they shouldn't be taking orders should they! Avoid at all costs.

I've used these guys plenty of times now, and finally feel the need to write a review (i don't do these at all) Every time I've ordered, they have hit the spot perfectly! the burgers are lovely every time, the chips are lovely also and I have never had a bad meal. I accidently placed two orders this evening, and they called immediately to check and issued a refund due to my mistake, I appreciate that alot and extremely helpful with great customer service. I have always had an early delivery, the website is very nice to use. I have also used their twin company the gravy boat carvery and can absolutely recommend that too, lovely food.

This is only my own personal experience, many others may have had positive ones. Placed an order this evening, 90 minute wait for delivery, fair enough, its a weekend, I understand takeaways are busier. At the 20 minute late point, so almost 2hrs after order was placed, I was told the driver was "5 minutes away". Roll on the now 50 minute late point, I call again and am told the driver is "10 minutes away", it appears he's been driving away from my house?! I ask for the order to be cancelled, by the time it arrives it'll be 3hrs since I placed placed order so I'd like a refund. I was told "no", I begged their pardon, and was directed to get a refund from justeat. Then told to tell the driver to bring the food back, as they have 7 drivers out and they can't remember who had my order, heated exchange followed and I hung up. Couple of things, no need to lie to your customers about where their order is, if its going to be late, say that, don't give it the 5 minutes away when it's more accurately an hour! And what takeaway service has 7 drivers and still can't deliver food on time, or for that matter know which of their drivers has what order. Extremely unprofessional in my opinion and has put a downer on what otherwise was a nice night in with my wife and children. Personally, if I were you I'd avoid this place, and I'd rate it at less that one star if only possible!

After failing to get a response from another burger franchise (BK), I came to burgers and dogs. I ordered a cheese burger with an extra burger, fries and a nachos to share. My burger came as a single, with a mushroom and (what I think was) pulled pork. Very tasty but not what I ordered. Fries were really good and the nachos were really good too. Its estimated delivery was 21.35, which was absolutely fine, it arrived at 20.45. Will I order from them again, Probably, just hope they get it right next time.

Can't make a comment on the food, but their website wouldn't allow me to make an order for collection or delivery and when I phoned up they just seem like anyone calling is a massive inconvenience. If there food is as poor as their attitude, it will probably make you ill.

I had the bacon and cheese burger, it was very tasty and i loved it. My Dad had an americon burger he loved it too. I would highy recomend it.

Paid extra for a beer but got a can of coke, because I "didn't choose" when no options were actually presented. So it's either a flawed system and I was the first to make that order (seems highly unlikely), or they're taking advantage of the lockdown and skimming an extra quid here and there off people. Not good either way. Food was fine, but won't be ordering again.

I understand that Burgers and Dogs is under the same umbrella as the local business iThe Gravy Boat where I have had nothing but outstanding experiences, and so I expected such good food at Burgers and Dogs. Delivery was on time, and to be fair, the prices were reasonable. Unfortunately, I was hugely unimpressed by the quality of the food. It was edible, but was generally what I would expect from a burger van at a car boot sale. I went for The Italian Stallion, Cheesy Fries and Pulled Pork. The burger had a meagre helping of salad and was completely dry. The burger had the familiar taste of bulk bought cash and carry meat with no juice whatsoever. The cheesy fries, to be fair, enjoyed a generous supply of cheese. I'm afraid the quality of the cheese, however, was poor and the fries were generally very bland and mushy. I didn't blink an eye at leaving half of the portion. The pulled pork, frankly, looked very unappetising. It did taste good, but not what I would expect from a business that specialising in gastro fast food. Overall, I was massively uninspired. I would usually purhcase upmarket burgers from The Burger Shop Co in Arundel where the food is always outstanding, but it is closed due to Covid so I was keen to experiment. Burgers and Dogs state on their website that "[they] are no ordinary burger company and you wont find any run of the mill burgers [there]!". Unfortunately, my experience was especially ordinary and my burger was especially run of the mill.

We've had burgers from B&D many times & 80% of the time they're yummy & last two occasions they've been exceptional quality & very tasty They do seem to look after us knowing we're regular customers. A nice 10% off code offered to regular customers which is a good gesture. However they definitely need to sort out the communications 5 times I tried to get through on the phone to check my online order had been confirmed but no answer! I could've been a new customer trying to place an order! B&D dont let yourselves down by lousy customer service ! Your food on it's day is impossible to beat so need to improve communication to make it an overall good eating experience. We'll return :)

Disappointed! Ordered before and had been great but this time was already 1hr delivery, and delayed 45 mins extra! Food arrived dry and tasteless, slightly cold and overall not enjoyable at all. Tried to contact this restaurant and received no answer many time, and still have had no contact at all. I understand delays due to COVID but this shouldn’t effect the quality. Wouldn’t recommend.

Ordered our food at 6pm did not get delivered until 9.10 pm by this point we were past the point of being hungry. When the food finally got here the burgers were thick dry and tasteless. The mozzarella sticks were greasy and sickly. I wouldn’t bother ordering from here again!

Poor delivery service sadly. We ordered on a Saturday night at 6.30pm and were still waiting at gone 8pm. They really need to get this sorted as it is an important part of take away food, especially how life is at the moment. There are too many reviews like mine, love the food but come on guys...

I really did like there dine in experience there staff were really friendly and there burger was really delicious . I can not however recommend there delivery service it was shocking the onion rings were cold and the burger was really greasy and warm.

Couldn't contact the restaurant, the driver was rude, my food apparently left the restaurant 40mins before it arrived at my door, I could have walked there quicker, when it turned up the only thing that wasn't cold was the bottle of coke, no apology from the driver. Kids went to bed before it turned up so had to make something else for them and the food that did turn up went in the bin id have to say £30 truly wasted

Ordered via the just eat ap on a Friday evening. delivery took over an hour but it was worth the delay as the burger and onion rings were delicious. A little on the pricey end but enjoyable and will definitely re order when the need arises.

Our 3rd delivery of food from Burgers & dogs all was exceptional quality & very very tasty thanks . 3 Burgers , yummy triple cooked fries & queen olives. I had the Spanish burger with egg chorizo & sliced green olives "Mmmmmmmmmhmm That is a tasty burger :) The Mrs & step Daughter bacon cheese burger they both enjoyed them. Olives although yummy, they weren't all queen olives as advertised & expected these are superior & should be just queen olives y only moan as they've been better in the past orders . Other than that all fantastic.

Great food i like the huge extras menu. The Hangover burger is 5 stars by itself well worth a try. Great as a take away 0% grease everyone iv recommended this place to has loved it. Definitely going to come down and eat in when i can.

We had a home delivery from burgers and dogs and I must say it was probably the most filling burger I ever had . Two burgers mushroom pulled beef and sauces all in a massive bun . Very tasty. It came with chips too. Starve yourself for the day before trying these burgers as they are American size and everything in the USA comes in one size BIG .

Not cheap & nasty all 3 we ordered were amazing quality burgers & fries will definitely try the olives next time after seeing the review photo below .One little moan there wasn't enough blue cheese on my Blue moon burger but was delicious all the same.

I had the vegetarian burger which is hallumi cheese, aubergine, mushroom, pesto, rocket on brioche bun. Very nice but falls apart as too much pesto oil which soaks into brioche. Vegan option is the same but with tofu instead of hallumi. They have a 7.99 meal deal but don't think it's included in the veggie deal as I paid nearly £7 just for the burger and wasn't asked if I wanted the deal. Perhaps best to ask. Tasty food which I enjoyed.

The food is amazing, staff is very friendly and professional. I would highly recommend it! Recently I became vegan and today I tried and the vegan options, OMG the best burger I've ever had 11 out 10 🙌

If I were to base this soley on the food. it is wonderful the best burger place I have been to in a long time.. the only thing I could suggest more, lower the damn chairs and tables. I have short legs, those chairs are most uncomfortable!

This place serves beautiful food. At first glance thought was a bit pricey but you get so much food that is cooked so well it makes sense!

Went to get a takeaway from here on a recommendation from a friend who had also been for the first time this week. Without a doubt I would not hesitate to go here again. I phoned an order through that was ready to collect in 10 minutes. When I went to collect the order I was met by very friendly staff and the order was all ready.They do not use polystyrene boxes they are recyclable cardboard. The food was still piping hot when I got home. Two of us had different burgers and one had a hot dog. All were absolutely delicious. Everything is very reasonably priced and they also do meal deals

Highly recommend this if you like Hot dogs or Burgers, tried a New Yorker hot dog, a sausage topped with pulled pork cheese sauce fried onions and crispy bacon bits, the best hot dog I've ever had, also ordered chips which were delicious too, so big I couldn't eat it all. well worth s try.xx

Went to Burgers and Dogs for lunch with my daughter and although we’ve walked past many times we hadn’t actually been in before. We soon realised we had been missing out big time because our burgers were not only huge and looked amazing but tasted every bit as good as they looked. We had the American burger and the onions were cooked New York style which is unlike onions anywhere else and absolutely scrummy! The place was spotlessly clean, the staff very friendly, service quick, prices good and the food itself was sooo scrummy. If you’re looking for tasty food at a good price give this place a try and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed ps the milkshakes were delicious too

Went in for a takeaway for lunch whilst at work. On a 30 min lunch break. Asked how long the wait would be and was told 10-15 mins. When ordering I asked for crispy chicken and told the waitress I can’t stand beef burgers hence the chicken.

Was looking forward to trying something from Burgers and Dogs but unfortunately it was a big disappointment! I intended to eat in but the smell of the toilet put me off so I opted to take away. The burger meat tasted awful, like a fun fair burger. It was tasteless and un-seasoned, the only thing with flavour was the bacon in the burger. Chips would have been nice had they been seasoned so they too were tasteless. Looks impressive but not good. Won't be back.

We have been looking for a good local burger joint since Regis Burger in Bognor closed in 2018, and I think we have found a good place as a substitute.

It’s not to see a lovely Burger restaurant that has smart decor and friendly staff. I enjoyed a burger and chips with a coke the food was delicious and I will return again.

Great burgers and chips, can recommend the Pepperoni Jack very tasty. £10 for my meal deal, very good quality. Great window seats for people watching too!

Saw this new place when looking for somewhere to have lunch, looked good so gave it a go. Was glad we did, great service, amazing burgers and nice atmosphere. Ate in overlooking the river,will definitely visit again.

I am writing this review so that our customers can see who we have used personally within our business. On this occassion it was my wife and I who have been here a couple of times and eaten. The food is outstanding and great care and attention is taken to presentation. Their cheesy chips are to die for, their burgers are excellent, fresh CRISPY lettuce (yes it was actually very fresh!) and the mozzerella sticks were huge and very tasty. They came with a lovely dip too. Most often mozzerella sticks are bland tasteless sticks of goo but not these beauties. Our advice is to forget "Mc fastfood" and go here and eat. We actually ordered a kind of what you get meal at that fast food restaurant and the food was far more filling and of a much higher quality and all for the same money, say no more! Well done and keep it up, thanks Patrick and Lori.
