Hi all at Burbidges, just to say the loaves of bread we collected on Saturday for our Medieval style Banquet party were delicious. Served with stews and casseroles on wooden plates.We had lots of compliments on the bread from the guests and used the bread for Sunday morning bacon sandwiches for the guests who stayed over. Thank you again.

We have recently moved to Andover and a local friend recommended this bakery. Well, we have been totally blown away the range and quality of the breads, cakes and sandwiches. This has now become our "go to" place for Saturday lunch. The staff are lovely too, very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. Thank you Burbidges :-)

When I get the chance and they haven't sold out. This roll is so incredibly tasty. If you like mayo its nice with that too. But to be honest this roll needs or wants for anything. Fantastic job. The Cornish pasties are really excellent and the bacon rolls. You can choose how many pieces of bacon you want. So if you want a top bakery look no further for a great range of products. Not great if I’m honest!!! Arrived with great expectations but was very disappointed!!!! Maybe there should be variation in price depending on what time of day you arrive. We arrived at 12:45 and appeared to be left with the burnt flacks scraps!!! Sausage roll was mainly left in tiny particles all over the car as it just disintegrated into dust as was so over cooked! The pea Pasty wasn’t much better either. I say pea as 90% of the pasty was Pea!! There was no moisture inside and the mince was dry as a donkey!!! Really disappointed!!! Not all bad though!! The shortbread and carrot cake were bang on! Likely because they hadn’t been cooked for an eternity!!!! Very expensive as well especially for over cooked burnt food, if we were in restaurants it would have gone back!!!! Staff were great as well

Purchased one of the bakeries sandwiches from the Texaco petrol station and was blown away, the bread was so soft, thick-cut, and full of filling. I drove the remaining 40 miles home raving about this sandwich. Today I was passing again and this time had to buy one for every member of the office so they too could experience them. :)

I couldn’t get to Andover for my regular purchase of the best Eccles cakes in the world . They were so nice and posted me a box containing 4 cakes , arrived next day beautifully packed , tasted just as good as from shop , love you Burbidge’s x

I can never ever fault this bakery. Every single crumb is served and baked with love. Shop bought pastries don’t have any comparison to this beautiful bakery. I’m always eager to pop down for my mid week treat. Thank you wonderful Bakers, you make people very happy!!

Wow wow wow hands down the best bakery food I have ever eaten in my entire 45 years in this planet. Buttery crisp pastry, real cuts of tasty meat in the pasties and chocolate that had flavour not just sweet and sugary. Shall be a regular customer from now on. This is my local bakery and I’m sorry to say the pasties they sell are really poor. Don’t try and eat one on the go, you end up with a lap full of dry flaky pastry and garden peas rolling all over the place. Why put peas in a pasty?

Came to get Lardy cake for my mum, she loved it. She lived in Salisbury and o lives in Nottinghamshire. Purchased two lardy cakes for her and she said it was hercbest Christmas present.

I have lived overseas for many years and always visit when I return. The bakery was there when I was going to school and now retired. It is a quality old fashioned bakery hard to find nowadays. With everyone going to Devon & Cornwall for their hols this year, all I could think about was enjoying a traditional pasty. So I though I know I’ll go to burbidges bakery. How disappointed was I. A soggy pastry mush & they had the cheek to charge £2.70 for it. One mouthful then straight in the bin. Won’t be going there again.

Mrs. Burbidge took my call requesting a spelt loaf. She didn't know me but suggested I call in early Friday to check if one was available - they're usually baked on Fridays and Saturdays but are only special ordered for large orders. I duly called in at 06:00 (yes, really, the phone was answered almost immediately!) and found out that Mrs. Burbidge had gone above and beyond and ordered a honey and spelt loaf for me to collect on Friday. I arrived at the store at 07:00. Wow! Was it ever obvious how popular this bakery is as I joined the socially-distanced queue outside. Going inside the store is an experience - even down to the TV on the wall showing the bakers at work! The staff were pleasant and efficient. But wait, that's not the best of it! The honey & spelt loaf is awesome, the texture and taste were second to none and I am looking forward to my next one already. On this experience, which I plan to repeat regularly, I have to recommend Burbidge's Bakery unreservedly. I just wished that dietary requirements didn't preclude my purchase of any other items from their outstanding selection.

Just had amazing lunch, everything was so fresh and tasty ... other customers were buying pizza so had to try, delicious! We took a detour to go there, will definitely do that detour again!

Fantastic service. I ordered a carrot cake here and they were very responsive and got my order completed quickly. Made it easy to pick up and different options of sizes. It is hard not to buy everything in there. Very yummy! Thanks 😁

By far some of the best items I have sampled from a bakery ever. Their cheese twists when fresh out the oven are incredible. Highly recommend to anyone although get there early.

Wonderful choice of cakes and pastries. The jam doughnuts are the best ever sampled anywhere. As for the chocolate danish just delicious. The cheese straws and sausage rolls are also firm favourites. I regularly buy a box of assorted cakes and pastries to take as a thank you to the hardworking staff at Winchester Hospital and all are agreed it is the best bakery around.

We wanted to treat ourselves to something special, so decided to get so yummy cakes on the way home and Burbidge's did not disappoint, the young lad that served us gave excellent customer service, while the shop was extremely busy

As I child I used to beg my mum for a cheese straw from burbridges, and 25 years later there still just as yummy. From bacon rolls to cakes and sandwiches never let down with the menu. Recently started getting orders at work for my team and now everyone loves them as our Friday treat. Also greeted with friendly smiles and the prices aren’t too bad either! Highly recommend if you fancy something yummy and fresh :)

Check the lunchtime trade from the business community in search of hit sausages, cheese pastries and more. Or try the smoked salmon rolls. And don’t miss the Cottage rolls, still produced daily

This is a small local bakery and I couldn't recommend it enough. The staff are friendly and helpful and the goods they sell are just delicious. Everything from breads, to cakes, sandwiches, pizza and cheese straws but made to the very highest quality!

Fantastic family run bakery. been coming here since I was a child. I now buy items and drive 2 hours to deliver them to my Father, he still loves the lardy cake at 87 years old. I myself have a favourite I the cheese straws. fresh everyday and friendly staff.

I have been visiting Burbidge's Bakery for years. It all started when I used to pretend to be poorly so I could stay off school knowing that my dad would take me to work with him and we would always stop here to get treats! My dad always had the lardy cake and I would always get an iced bun. Now that I am 23 I still visit often and my favourite has to be the carrot cake, it's the best you'll ever taste! I hope this place is around for when I have my own children so I can create the memories I have with my dad! Burbidge's Bakery will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you for the memories and the amazing food.

As a local resident I have used Burbidge's Bakery many times over the years. I have always found their friendly and welcoming staff only eclipsed by the quality and excellence of the food they sell. A visit for a bacon sandwich in the morning quickly becomes a fresh load and cakes for the family - its impossible to avoid it.

I have been using this bakery for many years. They always work to the highest standards, the prices are reasonable for such good quality and the staff are friendly. They also take telephone orders, handy for those working at the weekend. Can’t rate this place highly enough.

I was so surprised to find that cake boxes are not provided and delicious fresh cream cakes are put in paper bags. The food is quite pricey and there is no price list or itemised prices on the items displayed. This is the only bakery I know of that does not provide boxes or priced items. The food however is exceptional and the eclair so to die for when you can get them!

Cheese & onion pasty for £2.50 must be fantastic - not! Potato & black pepper was all I could taste inedible after two mouthfuls the rest went into the bin.

There is usually always a queue but the staff rattle through very quickly. The fact there is always a queue tells you how good their produce is.

Easily the best bakery in at least a 20mile radius. Great value for money. Really good choices and range of cakes, breads and pastries. Family love it for lunch too and we often stop there on king walks and bike rides.

Great family run business which has been going for at least 50 years. Does a great selection of hot and cold food. And some sandwiches made to order. Used to be a supermarket but cut back a few years ago to concentrate running this smaller shop. People come from miles around for their lunch. Prices are pretty reasonable and competitive. There is no seating at the place, people tend to just park outside for a few minutes to get the food then go elsewhere.

They offer best and most delicious cakes in Andover for a very reasonable prices. The only downpoint is that you must do you shopping in the mornings because after lunchtime almost everything is gone.

Super bakery. Only the best baker in Andover. Huge selection of everything that's baked sweet or savioury. Lovely freshly made sandwiches and rolls. Bacon and Sausages cooked and ready to fill rolls to order. Plenty of parking. My husband picks up his "dog walking" roll. Before taking the pooch walking. You can even get a separate sausage for your furry friend.

Every time I go into Burbidge's it's like stepping back in time ( Bread & pastries just like they used to be), I am into my seventy's and have used the bakery since I was a small boy and the good standards are the same now as then.

Bakery was recommended to me. I was there at 08:50am and the queue was nearly out the door. It was worth the wait though. I tried the bread, fruit pie and cakes. All were delicious. The prices may seem expensive but you get a lot more for your money than in other shops/supermarkets.

I was a regular at Burbidge's, at lunch time, whilst employed at the DLO Andover, (2001- 2007) to partake of their enormous sausage in a Torpedo Roll. The lunch time walk justified this regular indulgence. I came in for a lot of stick too from my colleagues, because of these regular sorties.

Burbidge's Bakery is an absolute gem; a 100% genuine-baked-on-the-premises bakery which has been trading for five generations and offers a delicious range of breads, pastries, cakes and warm snacks. The shop itself sits in a small parade on a through-road in Andover and, apart from its rather smart outward appearance, nothing gives away the treasures that await inside.

There's so much to say about Burbage's and it all good. From the simple loaves of bread to the bacon rolls and giant cheese straws it all just excellent. That's before you get to the cakes. OMG the cakes are just to die for. There's nothing fancy about any of the products they sell because the food us is on quality and value for money. If I could I'd eat nothing but cakes and sausage and bacon turnovers, but sadly I'd double in size within a week.

Still an amazing bakery, great staff and food. A good local and independent bakery. Famous Christmas Turkey bake each year is quite an occasion.

Nothing more to say, only the very best Bakery for Miles. Freshly baked on the premises. The smell when you walk in is amazing. You can stop for lunch to pick up premade rolls and sandwiches or select from the counter, cooked fillings like bacon and sausage. Piping hot. Cakes and buns just glorious. Selection of breads. Plenty of parking. Everyone in Andover knows this Bakery. When I go in I pick up an extra sausage on its own, my dog loves this place too. Walk in the country, hot sausage rolls and a sausage for pooch. Bliss.

This is the best bakery for miles, the array of cakes and bread is fantastic, plenty to choose from. The hot food to go is fantastic especially when your on the go.
