Greeted by a lovely lady Jodie and shown to our table. Service and food was fab. Covid rules are excellent felt very safe and comfortable. All the staff were extremely Helpful and very pleasant under the circumstances they are working in WELL DONE to you all. We will define be back again.

Met for a drink, booked via the website, table ready and waiting for us. Ordered drinks via the app, great service from the team who are working hard during difficult days. Thanks Jodie ad the Bulls Head Team

Booked a table for some drinks. Staff were great. Nathan especially. Its not easy during Covid as we all know but can't fault them. App was easy to use and the drinks came fast. Well done guys.

Nuestro local que no frecuentamos muy a menudo, pero es un pub muy agradable. La comida siempre es buena y sabe bien. Se cumplen las nuevas reglas de COVID y nos hacen sentir seguros. Visitamos anoche por segunda vez en dos meses, éramos un grupo de seis. Quedamos muy impresionados con las reglas de Covid, fuimos recibidos por un miembro encantador del personal que nos dio nuestras instrucciones. Me complace decir que este lugar ha mejorado mucho, parecía realmente limpio y con un olor más fresco. Todos comimos principalmente filetes de chuletón que estaban cocinados a la perfección absoluta, tan tiernos y jugosos, y uno de los miembros del grupo tenía el pollo y las costillas, de los cuales dijo que estaba delicioso. El servicio fue rápido, el personal fue muy servicial, educado y amable. Tuvimos problemas con la aplicación y un miembro del personal fue muy útil y nos solucionó. No cabe duda de que volveremos y recomiendo encarecidamente la comida. Visitamos a principios de año y la comida no era la mejor, pero me complace decir esto y el servicio ha mejorado al 100%.

Since new management place is going down hill. Food is not good quality anymore and they rarely have the puddings on the menu. The pub generally smells unclean too

He frecuentado este pub muchas veces y me parece acogedor y amigable, ya no, he recibido una multa de 85 por estacionar en el estacionamiento del cliente, soy un cliente. Encontré una queja similar de un cliente aquí con el mismo problema, sin información proporcionada por el personal del bar y sin señalización en el pub. le recomendaron a este cliente que llamara y el cargo sería cancelado. Hice esto y me aconsejaron que entrara y no puedo antes de la fecha límite del boleto. No tengo recibo y pago en efectivo, no es inusual haber pagado en efectivo por 2 bebidas.

Nos encanta este lugar, vinimos para una comida familiar la semana pasada para una celebración de cumpleaños, el personal es encantador, muy amable. Teníamos 3 platos y la comida se servía rápidamente y estaba muy deliciosa. Tuve los filetes de lubina, con espárragos, patatas y pesto estaba delicioso. Los precios son buenos y disfrutamos recolectando nuestras recompensas en nuestra aplicación.

We booked our Christmas dinner here this year, having been here a few times throughout the year having lots of lovely meals. Christmas Day was no exception to this. We had a fantastic 3 course meal and the staff were wonderful, the food was hot and tasty and the place was bustling with drinkers and smiling faces. Thanks bulls head for making our day so wonderful. You even gave the children selection boxes which was a lovely touch. Merry Christmas.

Having eaten at this pub many times before and been very happy with everything we decided to book up for Christmas Day. What a shame our Christmas Day meal was well below the standard expected. £270 was paid for 6 of us, treating my Mom and brother as well for Christmas treat, the day was marred by the substandard offerings for the main Christmas dinner. Very little turkey, undercooked potatoes, rock hard parsnips, over quantity of carrots. Dreadful really, my eldest son literally didn’t eat any of his dinner because he was so appalled. We should of complained at the time but didn’t want to upset any of the other diners around us and make a scene. We have since made a formal complaint to Ember Inns and are awaiting a reply. I can’t believe that this pub which I have been using for many years think that what they dished up on Christmas Day was acceptable for £45 a head. The service itself was ok but the meal was awful. Shame on you Bulls Head you must have known what you were serving was unacceptable. Dissatisfied and disappointed is an understatement.

We came here for our annual festive lunch and were nnot dissapointed! The staff really looked after us. The table looked great and the food was yummy and hot! Really reccommend here for a works party or just a get together.Jodie and sally were great and the chefs

La comida y el servicio eran buenos y nos fuimos contentos.Semanas después recibí una multa de 80 estacionamientos para esta remota posada familiar que agrió la noche. Es cierto que no estaba buscando señales o detalles para pagar el estacionamiento, pero el personal o el sitio web no me dieron cuenta de esto. I can honestly say that the Bulls Head is wonderful, the staff are so friendly and happy all the time, even when they are soBusy. The food is delicious and the drinks are always tasty. We love coming to the Bull for a bite to eat and a few drinks. A fantastic local pub.

This a great example of what a good mid-ranged pub can be. It is an ember inns pub, so in terms of decor and the like it is what anyone who has been to another in the chain will expect. It is clean and well presented. The food is what could be expected of modern pub food, and is well done. for the winter the fires are a big bonus. What really stands out though is how good the staff are. They are always fantastically welcoming and cheerful. I on!y come in once a week or so, but am always recognised and greeted kindly. Sally in particular ought to be given a special mention in this regard, although all the staff are outstanding. To take a trite example, the first time I came here (a couple of months ago) I asked for a number of a local cab firm, Jody behind the bar just called it herself and showed me where it would come. This is indicative of the ethos of the bulls head, and I always enjoy my time there

Good selection of beers. Good sunday lunches Trio of meats for sunday lunch was good and the belly pork on the sunday menu was very good. Desert of salted chocolate profiteroles and sticky toffee pudding also very good.

We are regulars at The Bull and can't recommend it enough, an old fashioned regulars pub in modern form, excellent management and staff along with lovely food and drink, the staff go out of their way to make your visit a good one and nothing is to much trouble.

Came here sunday on a recommendation from friends. The sunday lunch was amazing. Large portion and very tasty. The puddings were great too

Went today aug 6th 2019 about 2 pm with my sister, who moans about food wherever I take her. But this place was excellent ,even she didn’t moan, she could only praise it. Food was hot , bought out promptly , and all 3 courses, excellent . Staff really nice as well. Will definitely be visiting here again.

Visited the bull when the Lionel Richie tribute was on. Was a brilliant entertainer and definitely enjoyed it! Quick service from the staff on the bar.

Came in briefly for some drinks and had a really great time. Bar staff are very friendly. We were catered to by 'Joe' who made an effort to ensure we felt welcome.

Came in with my partner for some food at our local, we love coming in every couple weeks, food is always delicious and staff serving are always polite and helpful.

Finally came back was able to give it a 5 star, I came here with family in the evening and I must say straight away I noticed the floors were clean, the menus were wiped and the tables were spotless, all our drinks were spot on although they had no straws, all the food came out in fantastic time apart from deserts and the one thing was missing off my food, but this is me really not picking, I love coming here now as a local too I'm chuffed.

Food was spot on, hot and fresh and didn't have to wait long. Service was good and great variety of drinks.

Had a great night catching up with work collegues for our end of term get to gether. Staff always friendly and food is top notch ! Great place to chill in beer garden with mates 😀

Qué bonito pub es este. Para un pub regular, no esperas una comida deliciosa, sino una comida normal y buena. Nuestras comidas estaban bien presentadas y eran absolutamente deliciosas. El personal también es muy amable y tiene un gran conocimiento de los cócteles y la verdadera cerveza. Volveremos seguro.

Tried it two days in a row. Have to say this Ember Inn was a chance discovery wandering up the road from our Premier Inn & 45 secs from Aldi. The food was great value and all four of us enjoyed our choices, all commented how nice their dish was. I had the 'posh fish and chips' both visits, tasty, freshly cooked, the batter having a gentle crunch. Jo the barman, a friendly chap, as were the staff on both nights, gave us 3 sample beers to try, Jaipur (think that was a potent 5.1% and loved by a colleague) and Pifflesnonker (pretty sure that spelling is correct), a delightful pale ale that was glorious - well with a name like that it would have to be tasty :).

What a lovely pub this is. For a regular pub you don’t expect delicious food you expect average alright food. Our meals were presented well and were absolutely delicious. The staff are also very friendly and have a great knowledge of cocktails and the real ale. We will be back for sure.

Couldn’t be bothered to cook, so my wife and I had lunch at The Bulls Head in Hall Green. I had Haddock and Chips, whilst my wife had Gammon & Chips. Neither of us could manage a sweet! A good meal. We shall visit again!

Having missed mothers day we decided to take my mom here for lunch. We popped in the day before to make sure that there would be room and they gladly booked a table in a quiet corner. Really nice to find our names on it with a big reserved sign when we arrived. Ordered drinks and set up a tab at the bar. While we were looking at the menu Jodie, one of the members of staff came over and asked if she could take our order for us. Usually you have to wait at the bar so this was great, a real help. The food arrived in good time and everyone was happy. My mother had the posh fish 'n' chips which was two huge pieces of sea bass on a pile of golden chips. Mom polished off the fish declaring it delicious and there was so much she hardly touched the chips! My wife's salad was super fresh and had a generous topping of chicken and bacon and my pasta was also delicious, loads of asparagus running through it. Jodie came and checked that we were ok, cleared the plates and then even brought us another drink.

This food is great been here a lot like the chef Pete and the bar staff sally I had a mixed grill and it was fabulous and I really enjoyed my stay even though my favorite food is lasagna and I love this pub great atmosphere and relaxing great to be here get your self down there lol

Came here recently and really enjoyed the food. The gammon was excellent and they also have a great selection of ales for a great price. Upon arriving, we were warmly greeted by Joe and felt at home straight away. It was a great start to our night.

Tried most meals and they was banging menu was suggested to me by Sharron with a double rr , nice bubbly colourful young lady.

Popped in for a quick drink while waiting on a take away. Unusually quiet for a Saturday night. We would have gone for longer except for the ban on dogs which severely limits the drinking establishments in Hall Green.

Was very shocked when we walked in as to how busy it was for January .

This is one of the best pubs in the area for food and ale. It was however slightly bizarre that de-caff coffee was not available! My Southern friends found this rather amusing, shouldn’t be rocket science to be fair.

Had our works Xmas do here. Service was wonderful, they are a lovely bunch. Food was hot and tasty. the pub was warm and welcoming. Use this place frequently, doesn't let us down.

He comido allí el sábado a la hora del almuerzo con bastante frecuencia y siempre me ha parecido ser un agradable y acogedor pub local. El personal era genial y todos nos lo pasamos de maravilla. Nada era demasiado complicado, ya que envolver el pastel de cumpleaños restante en una película adhesiva y ayudar a llevar globos, muchas botellas de vino y regalos al coche cuando nos íbamos. Unas cuantas personas (incluyéndome a mí) pidieron comida que estaba deliciosa ya un precio razonable. Mi familia tiene algunos hijos más pequeños que fueron bienvenidos, siempre y cuando fueron supervisados ​​y la pasaron muy bien. No puedo recomendarlo lo suficiente.

I have been here a few times now and I can honestly say it is the best food around. I am working in the area during the week and this is where I go for my evening meals.

We hired the conservatory area at the back of the pub for our little girls party. The buffet was excellent and tailored to the occasion. The pub provided a disco, and a sweet cart which the kids loved. The bar was open to keep the parents busy. All in, it was a very enjoyable morning.

Came in as a table of 10 for moms birthday . Food was gorgeous waitresses ( claire and jodie ) were brill ! Brought the cake out sang happy birthday mom left very happy Thank you for a lovely evening 😆

Visited with some family members and had yet another fabulous time. As always staff very pleasant and made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much.

Had a really nice time. Eating and drinking with friends. Was busy in the pub but still clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and everyone was very smiley despite how rushed off their feet they were. We waited a while at the bar but were served in order and then food didn't take long to arrive. It was good hearty pub food. Will definitely visit again.

In with some family and met some great people in this place, all the staff and regulars seem really good fun! We had drinks and food and it was all happy days, no problems and the service was spot on. Couldn’t recommend the place enough, we’re going back next time in brum!

Visited again to our favourite local pub, food as usual was great, cooked properly and plenty of it. The staff as usual were busy but polite, food arrived quickly and the atmosphere was perfect for a end of week drink, wish we could of stayed longer but the kids were getting tired. Highly recommend the beer and the mixed grill. I saw a table of guys all eating them, they must be very popular

Visited on a busy dinner time and had a fantastic meal for a local pub, above our expectations.

We had not been to this pub for a while and were pleasantly surprised to find the refurbished interior was really good. Tables were clean and well stocked with sauces and condiments, the wine was reasonably priced and the white lovely and chilled on a very hot evening. The Gammon was large and moist and tender with both pineapple and egg, chips were really good crispy but soft in the middle, Fish pie was ‘nice’ but seemed dry and reheated and could have been larger and more veg not really good value, Menu was OK but could have had more variety.

I've been here a few times in the last few days. First for a pint in the evening, it was busy but we still got a seat and had a pleasant evening. We also ordered the Nachos which were delicious, but way to big a portion for a starter. But it was good as a snack to share.

Went for a meal with my fiancé. We both chose the gammon dish, which was a generous 10oz. Came with egg or pineapple, chips and peas. The chips were a little over-done, the peas under-cooked, but overall the dishes were fine. The waiting staff were friendly and polite and the service was good considering it was a warm, and busy, evening.

Called into Bulls Head Friday lunchtime I had the Hunters Chicken breast of chicken wraped in bacon with musroom onion rings I had it with jacket potato instead of chips. Very good. Friendly service.

Popped in for a cold drink while out for a walk. Excellent service by all the staff we saw, 3 large outside areas but not too many empty glasses. Draught cider was a great relief in the bank holiday sun

O Pub fica muito longe do centro. A comida é boa, a atendimento regular. Achei que a limpeza dos banheiros poderia ser melhor. Tem uma área externa interessante, mas não é coberta.

Visited with a few friends just for a catch up, the atmosphere the staff create is amazing. The rapport they clearly have with the customers is amazing it really reflects on the whole feeling in the pub!

First time visiting the pub as I live on the other side of the city, but my dads side of the family live in the area. Having used Embers before we opted to meet here for a snack and a vast a few drinks. What started out as an afternoon catch up quickly rolled into more drinks than expected and us ending up having to stay the night at their house the food was lovely and hot and didn’t have to wait long. The drinks range great as always. Only thing I would change..........my head the morning after. Thank you everyone for looking after us

buffet booked for 45 covers for funeral party and was booked easily and professionally.On the day the buffet with accompanying hot dishes was excellently prepared and presented.Everything was on time and prompt.The food was without doubt well received and many comments made of how good and different the food was ! Nothing was wanting and bar service to funeral guests was very quick.The staff were polite and fast and above all else very professional.Clearing away was done in a very dignified way with no disruption.Congratulations to all the staff for such an excellent occasion for our party. I would happily recommend this establishment for such an occasion as very happy with all aspects of their hard work and professionalism.Thank you again--it went very well !!

My husband and I had a Lovely meal yesterday and we took four friends there tonight. What a disappointment. No one enjoyed their meal. Poor fish, poor gammon, overcooked chips, egg, chicken and pastry, even the salad was poor!

We booked a table for three and arrived on a busy Friday night. There was no reception but eventually the waitress directed us to our reserved table - which only had two chairs! I commandeered a spar chair from another table. After waiting some time we discovered that you had to order at the bar.

We came for a birthday lunch on Sunday.

We visited here and were thrilled with the service we received, every member of the bar staff were extremely welcoming and brought a fantastic atmosphere to the pub.

We visited the Bulls Head as it was our father's birthday who visits this pub regularly with our mother. We were a large party of 25 but the staff accommodated us wonderfully. The service was excellent and Jodie our waitress was extraordinary in serving our whole party single handedly with any delay. Nothing was too much bother for her and the food was excellent value for money. Thank you for making our father's birthday celebrations go so smoothly.

Yo era uno de un grupo de tres personas que visitan este Ember Inn ayer. Pedí pescado y patatas fritas porque de lo que se había servido de 3 hombres del alboroto en la mesa de al lado parecía un gran pedazo de pescado crujiente para cada uno. Sin embargo, mi plato de pescado era pequeño y delgado y no crujiente pero pasada - ¿por qué la diferencia? Quizás un poco vieja dama como yo una pequeña porción, pero por 3 hombres grandes - grandes porciones de pescado! ! No goo!

Plenty of beer choices, at a good price, and the food menus is good enough to satisfy all tastes and at just £4.50 for a good lunch well worth a visit.

Easy to find and has parking which is important considering it is on a busy main road. The main area is nice and quiet and good for a family lunch. A variety of food on offer. Friendly service

we went with friends for a bite to eat/drink for her birthday, we were greeted by a young guy named Luke(I asked his name)with a very friendly warm smile, he was very helpful and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The food as always was lovely and not too long a wait, the prosecco went down a treat especially as it was free(courtesy of ember inns)as it was a gift for her birthday. You can get these rewards by signing up with them. I like the atmosphere in this ember inn it always feels cosy and friendly. We go a few times a month, would definitely recommend.

I came in on the 10th of September with couple of my friends, this was a Sunday, when i walked in i was greeted by lovely smiling staff, we sat down and looked through menus i was very surprised by the prices of the food such as rump steak and sirloin steak all around the price of £12.00 which is fairly cheap for a steak meal, when i went there i ordered the beef Sunday roast, which was under ten pound and food came out lovely the size of meal was large and actually more than i expected for the price of it, and within 15 mins of waiting the food was ready, the staff was very helpful keeping our table clean and also when ordering food and drinks lovely bunch of staff, definitely recommend this pub, will be visiting soon again, thanks bulls head team.

Visited here on Friday night with a few friends for the tribute night(Freddie was great entertainment) The welcome we received is so genuine compared to other local pubs, these guys actually look like they want to be there,. We weren't going to eat but a couple of us did and the food was exceptional for the price, well presented too, would definitely recommend. In fact we found the atmosphere so relaxing and enjoyable a couple of us ended up going back Saturday night and had yet again another great night. Can't wait for the next night.

This pub is an Ember Inn so part of a wider chain and we are familiar with other pubs in the chain. We went for an early evening meal and ordered gammon steak eggs and chips alongside scampi and chips. The chips were underdone while the fried eggs on the gammon were hard. The beer choice was limited compared to the other Embers and my choice of Otter was not at its best. Overall not bad but not inspiring a return either I'm afraid.

Had Sunday Lunch here with my Father in Law. Big portions of Veg, however the Chicken was quite a small portion, most of the plate was filled with veg. My Father in Law's roast beef looked a better option than the Chicken!

Popped in here today for lunch, I was pleasantly surprised. Much improved from my last visit (a few years ago) we had the daytime set menu which was great for the price and it came out really quickly. The staff were polite and friendly (a rarity these days) and they were easy to talk too, unlike other pubs in the local area. All in a lovely afternoon.

Our first at this pub as visiting family, although family regular visitors. On arrival very welcoming friendly staff, great atmosphere with relaxed environment. All service was great, food & drinks, brilliant. Defiantly re visit. Good value for money on both drink/food.
