Bullgogi in Kensington and Chelsea

Lovely authentic Korean restaurant. You can have the table BBQ or choose something from the main menu. There is a huge variety of Korean classics. I had the soondoobu jjigae. The stew was lovely, spicy and comforting on a chilly September afternoon. The dish comes with complimentary rice. Lovely. Nice place. Clean. Service was efficient. Staff were very friendly and pleasant. I liked the buzzer thing on the table which you press when you needed something, very useful. Reasonably priced given the location in Notting Hill Gate. Would recommend.

Sat night date night, running late so we phoned ahead. They said last orders are 22.30 and the restaurant closes at 23:00. We were so relieved and ran in at 22:27. Buzzy atmosphere and tons of people still eating and vibing. Bar staff instantly said “we’re closed.” No greeting. I explained that we rushed here and showed them my phone, with several mins left. “Only if you make an order right away, what do you want?” Luckily I’d scanned the menu beforehand. While they gave us plates and napkins, my partner politely asked if he could have a beer. The waitress snapped, “no, the bar is closed.” We desperately looked around for another server, who, luckily got us one beer. Unfortunately, I think the young woman might have been reprimanded for doing so, as our waitress pulled her aside afterwards. The K-BBQ was tasty (basic beef/chicken) & selection of 3 types of kimchi was good. It would have been great if a small bowl of dipping sauce had been included. Rice was £3 for a small bowl. We had no starters or other drinks and paid almost £60. About 25-30 minutes of arriving, they started handing people their bills and tidying up tables. As shown on their website, the restaurant closes promptly at 23.00 and we were asked to leave shortly after as “it closed 15 minutes ago, thank you.” Considering that K-BBQ involves cold stuff (kimchi), pre-made stuff (rice) and cook it yourself meats - plus the fact that the restaurant was buzzing - I was surprised that they were trying to close the kitchen and bar several minutes before their stated time. Overall, it wasn’t a great date night restaurant. Even if you went at 7/8pm, they seem like they would try to kick people out just to get the tables turned over - everyone was actually that brusque.

This is a lovely restaurant and the food was delicious. The staff were absolutely amazing and made our night a really good experience.

Absolutely amazing Korean food. Can recommend the Korean fried chicken - I had boneless with spicy/sweet sauce. The server Anthony, was extremely helpful - highly recommend this store!

This establishment engages in deceptive practices. Our excitement for Korean BBQ was shattered when we discovered that rice and banchans were not included, despite the high price. We had to pay an extra £20, a clear display of their greed. The meat was unremarkable, and the sauces excessively salty. Our mediocre KBBQ experience cost us £70 for two. We won't be returning; avoid this place!

My daughter and I visited for lunch and the food was amazing...... We had the pork that was so well cooked and tender it melted in your mouth. Service for the 3 servers was great and couldn't be faulted. Would highly recommend for the food, service and price.

We had the best Korean bbq in the whole of London and the staff was really friendly. So amazing would love to come back to the restaurant called Bullgogi.

Great fun, and I loved the grilling of different meats and wrapping them traditionally with the lettuce leaves, spring salad and raddish was delicious. The spicy pork was my favourite meat to grill. And the bottled korean beer was super tasty and refreshing also.

We first had Korean BBQ in Singapore and we loved it, so we jumped at the chance to eat here. We weren’t disappointed. The spicy platter was excellent and the beef platter was even better, the ribeye was top notch. Great service, great food, great night!

We often get delivery from here and it's always great, particularly the spicy pork bao and the fried chicken. It's not the cheapest but the quality is consistently high and there is good variety of dishes.

We came here last night and it was one of the best meals we’ve had on our trip in London. The KFC with honey garlic sauce was incredible and we are going to have to try to recreate it at home to get our fix because we don’t live in London! We chose the premium grill sharer and were not disappointed - our favourite part was the ribs but everything was fantastic. They didn’t have the right steak left because we were very late eating but they were very sweet and apologetic and switched it to sirloin (which was also great still!). We also think because of this they gave us extra scallop and KFC which is lovely. Must go if in the area!! We will be back

I'd not tried Korean food before and very glad I did. We walked in without a booking for lunch on a Sunday and were seated immediately. Pleasant atmosphere. Had assorted kimchi and a delicious seaweed salad to start with. Also vegetable dumplings and a mushroom bao (bun to you and me) . Really good. Drank plum wine which was a bit like cough mixture in a martini glass - weird but nice! Will go again. But wouldn't order water next time as it was £3 a bottle. Albeit a very stylish glass one.

The waiters were super friendly but as the restaurant gets busy it can feel as though it’s a tad under staffed. Towards the end of the night, it would take ages for our plates to be cleared up and to get the check. The food was a very very mixed bag. There were more misses than hits. We found the jalapeño peppers, pork bao buns, spider roll and sirloin steak to be massively underwhelming but the bulgogi bao buns and bulgogi meat were pretty solid and so were the rice dishes (we have definitely had better though). Unfortunately, everything is a tad bit on the pricey side and a meal for 3 people came to around £110 excluding an additional 15% for the service. The taste, quality and portions of food definitely doesn’t match this price and so I wouldn’t recommend coming to this Korean BBQ. Nearby there is a place called Gogi, which although service was worse, I would say the portions and quality are much much better to justify the price (same as bullgogi)

The staff were amazing, but the menu availability was poor. Lots of items "out of stock", which was very disappointing for our Daughters Birthday. What we ate was good, but would have preferred more of a selection. Dessert selection was very poor.

Came solo and 70% of mains need 2 people. All the bbq need 2 people. The dishes i had were average, and rather pricey for what it was.

The bulgogi was good and sauce to spice it up was served as well, I found it rather bland without. The interior is nice but it is quite packed and it was a bit hard to get out in the end. Staff was very nice.
