Bulgogi Grill in Leeds

Came here for lunch. The concept is fun and plenty of space on the table for all the plates for 3 people. The downside is the smell on your clothes and hair after leaving the restaurant. Although my sister and niece were fine. I was vomiting some hours later from the food. Yes you may say it’s down to my cooking. The meats were nicely displayed….. but I discovered they were frozen pieces. Good fun to try, but I would rather eat at a restaurant where I wouldn’t be smelling afterwards if grease.

The restaurant we had booked was over booked and we lost our booking so we walk along the street and saw Bulgogi Grill in Leeds, it was 8.30pm so we didn’t expect to get it as it was busy but the fantastic front of house got us a table, from then on we had the most amazing evening, we couldn’t believe our luck, what a great atmosphere, what great staff, the attention to detail was superb and nothing we asked for was a problem at all. We had the set menu and the abundance of top quality food we received blow us away. The value for money for what we got was hands down staggeringly brilliant. This is one place in Leeds we WILL be heading back to without question. If you want a fantastic dining experience then you have to head to Bulgogi Grill on Merrion Way in Leeds. Thank you to them for making our evening truly very special.

Korean BBQ with unlimited sides… the bbq sets are a mixture of meat and/or seafood… there’s four sets to choose from (£29.95 - £39.95) in the evening, they have an early bird set at £21.95….. the meats are marinaded in different sauces, all sets come with unlimited refill of sides…. Ranging from kimchi, leeks, japchae to my personal favourite tempura courgette bites…. The boiled rice and lettuce is unlimited too, so get wrapping your food and use the sauce dips…. Everything here is flavoured well and is authentic to Korean side dishes, care is taken in using fresh ingredients and will leave you satisfied …. The bar sticks a good range of alcohol… soju through to beer/cider….. you get 90 minutes but never really get pushed out….. due to the location of bulgogi ( opposite the areana) I’d advise early booking as there’s isn’t lots of tables, approx 16 tables on two levels…. Definitely an experience you should consider… you will definitely leave full…..!

Something a bit different. The meat was all lovely and fresh and perfectly marinated. We had a mixed one with seafood and the calamari was so tender. The sides were delicious and can be replenished. They were very good at checking if we wanted anything else. I also found it refreshing that they didn’t push extras or pester for more drinks etc. can’t wait to go again!

Was amazing! Food was fresh and delicious, service was excellent. Kept bringing more sides whenever we were low, very kind and made us feel comfortable and happy. We want for my birthday and I was so happy we chose to go as it was delicious! Would 100% recommend to anyone who enjoys Asian food.

My parents and I stumbled upon this place while looking for somewhere to eat before seeing a comedy gig at the arena, and we're glad we did! We got The Famous Bulgogi Set Menu: vegetable dumplings and sushi for starters, then high quality, well seasoned raw meats to cook ourselves, along with unlimited rice, lettuce, Korean side dishes and dips! It was a very unique culinary experience and the grill became so hot that the meats were ready to eat in seconds! The food was plentiful for the three of us, and we were comfortably full afterwards. Most importantly, the staff were really friendly and gave us quick, quality service. We'll definitely keep this place in mind next time we visit Leeds!

We went here before seeing a concert at the arena around the corner. The Early Bird set menu is very good value for money. You get to choose your meats, all of which were delicious and plentiful. You can also have as many refills of the side dishes/banchan as you wanted; great for extra kimchee! Service was friendly and fast. I've been to a few Korean BBQ places, and this is probably my favourite to date!

Where to begin? Every time we go to Bulgogi, we receive a warm welcome and this confuses throughout the meal with attentive staff who nothing is too much trouble for. We travel a good hour to eat at Bulgogi, and it’s worth every minute and every mile - even some of our friends who have started making the same journey, agree! With a dining concept like no other, Bulgogi is fantastic, whether you’re a couple for an intimate meal, or a larger group looking for a more social experience. The food is always fresh, and the Bulgogi beef is a delight (but on balance, it all is). The meat and fish comes out on a huge plate, thinly sliced for cooking. In charge of cooking your own food at the table, meat and fish cooks in No time, and an abundance of sides from kimchi, to rice, pickles and a whole raft of others to make each mouthful different - and the best bit? All of these sides are replenished as you make your way through them! You won’t be leaving here hungry, trust me! The drinks selection is equally impressive (my top tip: have their plum wine! It’s one of the best I’ve had). I cannot recommend a visit to Bulgogi enough!

Had an absolute wonderful experience. The staff were so wonderful and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing and out of this world. Would recommend for either a couples night or a family evening.

From start to finish our experience at Bulgogi Grill was amazing!! The staff were so polite and helpful, accommodating any needs. The food was beautiful and so flavourful!! We will be visiting again. We just heard about the restaurant and wanted to experience Korean barbecue but this is one of the best Korean restaurants in Leeds. Especially we found the Korean sauce served with meat rolls really amazing. Highly recommend for a group of friend.

Después de haber tenido un día bastante frío y húmedo en Leeds, este fue un lugar encantador para finalmente relajarse, con una experiencia gastronómica interactiva única, que combina autoservicio con excelente comida y bebida. Pensé que había mucha carne y pescado para mantenernos contentos a los 4 y con cosas ilimitadas lo que no nos gusta. También tuve Soju por primera vez y me encantó: -) Definitivamente lo recomendaría a cualquiera que no haya estado antes y lo visite nuevamente con amigos y familiares.

Lovely atmosphere and roomy seats, they give you enough for how ever many of you there are (we were a group of 4) and we all left full...I think its still abit pricey but its worth it with the added good service, friendly staff and stylish decor.

Our first is it to Leeds for a show a the Arena so we wanted a restaurant nearby in case it was raining, we couldn’t have picked a better place as it’s just across the Road. Went with my mum on a Friday evening, it was quiet when we arrived but soon got busy. Upon bringing the food out I look at it and thought “there’s not much there” but oh wow I was wrong! It really is service with a smile at this restaurant. Very welcoming staff who cannot be more helpful. The novelty of a DIY barbecue set in the centre of the table is just the thing for adding an extra dimension to a family or friends get together.

What a place! loved the bbq on the table! The food was amazing! I didn’t have the set menu but my husband and daughter did and the amount of food was staggering! The staff are so polite and helpful they kept refilling the lettuce, rice and spices without us having to ask. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants an authentic meal loved it!

Visited here with my partner for a latish weekend evening meal. At the time we visited there were only doing two set menus (difference being instead of squid you got pieces of fish, for abit more obviously). We opted for the cheaper option and i've not got a bad thing to say about the service, food or restaurant. The staff were very attentive to our needs and our food was very very prompt. The entire experience was lovely and would recommend this for anyone whose never had korean bbq before.

Our son and his Korean gf are visiting for 7 weeks from Australia. He has been before and told us how good it was so we booked for 6 of us to go for my husbands birthday. The service and staff were very good the kept us topped up with lettuce, side dishes, rice and water. The variety of meats were excellent and the seafood was excellent. We all could not believe how nice it was, it is well worth a visit if looking for somewhere different.

This is more of a BBQ restaurant rather than a Korean restaurant. Nothing Korean about it except for the kimchi they serve as one of the side dishes. We came here as a group for dinner and there was only 2 set dinner choices available and no ala carte, which is definitely a draw back! The quantity was quite a lot for the price we paid per person, which came with few choices of meat, 8 types of side dishes and a gyoza + Gimbao appetizer. Taste was also not to bad.

My friend and I fancied some Asian food and stumbled upon this place. You get served with substantial platters of mixed meat and sea food and as much accompaniments as you want. Then you grill your own food in a grill integrated in the middle of your table. Food extremely fresh and tasty, great service and lovely surroundings. I thoroughly and highly recommend! En la cena, un "menú fijo" parece ser el estándar. En poco menos de 30 tipos de carnes hay en el menú, incluyendo carne de res, cerdo y pato. Los langostinos y los calamares se dan junto con abundantes porciones de acompañamiento de lechuga y arroz pegajoso, y condimentos como la salsa de soja y el kimchi y ssam - my. Además de estos, se ofrecieron entrantes de albóndigas y sushi. Estas habían sido cocinadas y sabían deliciosas.

My partner had wanted to try this place for a long time and we finally visited at the end of March. Cooking your own food was a different way of eating out and made a change from the norm. The food was really tasty, generous portions but I thought there could have been a few more mushrooms and onions to cook as they were lovely with the lettuce rice wraps. It's not somewhere I'd go every week but it had a lovely relaxed atmosphere, friendly helpful staff and it was a nice place tor a birthday meal. The sides were also things I wouldn't have necessarily tried if they'd been on a menu but really complimented the meat well and I'd recommend a visit.

at £28 per person I was expecting more. There was the hot grill to cook on but no choice it was the set menu or a more expensive set menu ... I found have liked to pick what meats but it was set. the tiny pots of side dishes were 2 little kimchi 2 bamboo shoots and a cucumber salad, the dishes were around 5cm square but you can have them refilled. same with the lettuce for wraps. the dips were as far I could tell soy sauce , chilli sauce and a tiny bowl of sesame seeds. you also get a bowl of plain sticky rice. Meat is finely sliced for quick frying

Booked this restauarnt pre concert. They managed to get us a table for 2 at 6 p.m.We arrived and were greated by extremely friendly staff who explained the set menu. The grilling experience was awesome, with beef, pork, duck, prawns and squid. Some lovely pickled vegetables and dipping sauces were also part of the set meal. What great food!

Amazing service, food and atmosphere. This was our first time visiting Bulgogi as we’d constantly pass it but never go in. The fact it’s Korean BBQ is a bonus.
