The menu offers 20% discount for orders over £20 - but on arrival to collect you are told this has been stopped. The food is very average. The lamb was poor - thin slices of meat. Portion size is good and service friendly but will get an Indian meal from Morrisons or eat in elsewhere at lower cost in future. Will not use again

Quick service and helpful staff. Larger portions than most take aways. We had several different curries, all of which were tasty though the vindaloo eaters felt they'd have liked theirs with more 🌶. That said, it was hotter than anything I could eat!

We always use Spice for our takeaways. Great service and stunning food. Yes the prices have gone up, but that’s to be expected. People moan about prices, but it is inevitable. So if they can’t afford the prices, spent. But don’t slag businesses off for doing what they have to

Would love to give this a better review but being told "sorry we forgot to cook your food" doesn't fill me with much hope. We called up at 5:30pm to place a collection order for 6:30pm arrived outside at 6:35 they said it will be 5 minutes which is fine. 10 minutes later we ask where our food is they said "we're sorry we forgot to cook it, it will be about another 15 minutes"? Nevertheless the Madras I had was really good which is why I say that I would love to give more stars.

Overpriced for morrisons onion bhajis and there rice !!! Discusting should be ashamed of yourselves if I wanted morrisons indian food I would of payed a fraction of the price and gone to morrisons myself

Absolutely disgusting, has put the entire family off of curry for a long time. The chicken tikka masala was repulsive, so sweet and inedible.

Came here two years ago the food was excellent been here twice in the last week, the food is still excellent I would say they are £7 dearer than my local takeaway at home but you get what you pay for Bude spices food is far superior everything we have had has been perfect from poppadoms to the starters rice & and main meal, the jalfreize is still fantastic keema pilau rice wow,pick up times spot on & and I paid by Google pay both times?? & I shall be going again before the end of my holiday, in my humble opinion this is the best indian & Bangladeshi take away in the UK that I have had food from from the top of Scotland to penzance. & and I nearly forgot the lady that takes the orders & gives you your order is very pleasant & welcoming a nice friendly person.

Good tasty flavoursome food. Ready in 15 mins from ordering. Good service. Vegetarian Biriyani had a great variety of veggies.

How can they justify £22 for king prawns, £12 for chicken balti and extra £2 for spinach, £2.90 for nan bread. Asked if they do the 50% government off bill, we didn’t sign up to it. Asked why more expensive than last year, our suppliers have put prices up, she also said that people are prepared to pay the prices as well and if not they can go else where! What a shame that we’re trying to come out of lockdown restrictions and places are trying to blatantly ripping people off. Shame on this curry house.! I have no sympathy for places like this that shut down for lack of business when they’re hiking prices to rip people off !

Completely overpriced average food. How on Earth they can justify £22 for king prawn madras and £4-50 for rice. The best bit is they only take cash because of covid 19 no card payments

Having lived here a while, we realised we had never used this restaurant for dinner. So tonight we tried it out. We weren’t disappointed in anyway. The food was freshly cooked and piping hot. My wife enjoyed her Chicken Tikka Biryani very much, the vegetable curry was perfectly spiced for her. The rice was fluffy and delicious. I very much enjoyed my Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi. It was good, very good. Very flavoursome with a good hit of spice but not an overwhelming heat. My daughter loved her Chicken Tikka but not the Naan bread. It was too sweet for her. However, it was excellent value for money, our meal came to less than £30. The portions were generous, so much so that we’re having it again tonight. Overall it was good, very good but not the best in Bude. In my opinion. You certainly won’t be disappointed if you order here and I certainly would again.

So we visited here last weekend for the first time. The actual food was lovely but there was hair in the rice and 2 hairs cooked into the poppadom. I contacted them straight after with picture evidence but they didn’t even reply! So we will go back to Bude tandoori from now on.

Really enjoyed our takeaway lastnight. We had vindaloo, Korai and Korma, all full of meat, authentic and delicious. The naans are huge, really good value. Rice was decent, saag aloo not to my taste but all in all, for under £30 for three people, I was very impressed. Looking forward to my next visit. Thanks!

I have had the pleasure of eating at all three 'Curry Houses' in Bude and the meals from Bude Spice are definitely the best! The staff are always friendly. I am happy to recommend this restaurant. Note, takeaway only.

Omg loved this Indian, food was Amazing!!

Whilst away on a weeks holiday we decided to try Bude Spice one evening. We weren't disappointed. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

For a take-away curry, this is the best for miles around. And if you have a young lady who cannot eat cream or any dairy, they will cook a special without, at short notice. There are never any left-overs when we order from Bude Spice.

Wifes meal was nice, but mine (veg balti) contained simply cabbage, potato, and some slices of mushroom. And even these veg were short supply, and the curry was mostly liquid. Shame really, because the taste was nice. It just needed more content. It's almost like they forgot to put the rest of the ingredients in.

We always eat from here when we come for our holiday. Great food, great service 5 star

Whilst on holiday in Bude, my wife and I decided to try this place for a takeaway (this place is takeaway only). Both of our meals were excellent. The portions are a good size and very tasty. I always go for a Madras and this one was great! It was spicy and had a good amount of heat and flavour. My wife had a chini mirch and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our side of Bombay potatoes was nice and our naan was also good. The lady who served me was polite and the time estimated was bang on. If I was going to pick flies it would be over the fact that there are no complimentary dips with the poppadums, I've never had a takeaway that doesn't supply at least one dip when I order them, however, I can't knock off a star for this as the meal was so good! Highly recommended.

I had a prawn madras...anyway it was hot but the chillies hadn't been cooked properly and we're raw..maybe a bit technical for some...but a very poor curry in my opinion.

Smashing food there jalfrezi is fantastic went a few times when on holiday.

We're not fans of takeaway meals, preferring to eat in a restaurant. That said, the food here is excellent, the portions pretty big and the service rapid and friendly.

Went online to look at menu. Decided what we wanted and added it up as was 2 separate orders. Rang to order only to find it all came to £2 more than it was online. On querying this I was told that every order containing chicken or meat was £1 extra because meat has gone up and was also told there was a notice in the shop explaining this. Well that doesn't tell phone orders does it? Picked up order yes the food was good although not as good as Spice in St Austell. We ordered Poppadums too and thought they were triangular ice cream wafers when we took them out of the bag. Thought it was all overpriced to be honest. 😕

It was ok. Because we are here, in our country, used to get indian food with rice included we stand a little left alone with our take-away food, without any rice. Could be better information.

For the price paid I thought the portions were very small either that or they are using containers too big !!

Could not believe the portions for the price. Chicken madras curry with 4 pieces of chicken and half filled container with sauce. Sag aloo 4 pieces of potato, samosas for a starter, 2 of, small and dry. The only decent portion was the chips and rice that went with the chicken Korma.

We use Bude Spice whenever we want a take-away Indian meal, the food is authentic and very very tasty, we visit Birmingham often as our son lives there the home of the Balti and we can honestly say it is better at Bude Spice than any we have had in Brum. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the chef will alter the meal to suit your taste he also encourages you to ask if there is something you'd particularily like that isn't on the menu. My favourite is the Lamb Hari Mirch Bhuna (Madras hot) the mixture of spices and tender lamb is to die for. Unfortunately a few weekends back Bude Spice waas closed so we used The Mirchi, but never again! Please Bude Spice be open next time we fancy a takeaway!

Honestly this is the best takeaway for miles! The food is delicious and there are great portions, really friendly service and it's not expensive!

Owner was quite welcoming and humble,food was ready in due course,very clean and tidy place,we paid 30 quid for a meal for 5 quantity actually served us two meals dinner n next day lunch.

If you like Indian & Bangladeshi food then you just have to go to Queen Street where you will find this restaurant. The staff there are nice & friendly, they have a very comprehensive menu, which caters for all tastes & their food can be purchased for a very reasonable price.

We dropped in on the spur of the moment to order takeaway. It was well cooked and ready in 20 mins. We will definitely order from there again. Much better service than we have had from Bude Tandoori

We had a take away from Spice and the curry's were awful. It had a very watery consistency to it and the prawns were like rubber. We only ate a quarter each and then threw it away. An hour later and our stomachs were not very well if you know what I mean. I will not be going back to Spice ever again. It's also quite expensive too.

We were in Bude over Christmas, didn't want to cook on Christmas day so spent the day on the beach with the dogs and had Take-away in the evening. Excellent and tasty food - give it a try.

Bit of a of a wait but understandable as it was new year's eve. Curry was really tasty though although hotter than described.

We phoned our order in which was ready as we arrived as they said it would be. I was greeted by a very nice man who was pleasant and professional.

Takeaway meal for 7 prepared exactly on time and very very tasty! The restaurant was busy with diners and takeaway customers and staff very friendly and efficient. Recommended.

3 people in takeaway on a Saturday night still had to wait 35 minutes for a curry that's no better than any of the other Indians in bude

Decided to try the new Indian wish we didn't. Waited 35+ mins for the worst curry possible. No taste to it what so ever. Staff were miserable aswell. Won't be coming back. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Had a takeaway last night. One of the best meal i ever had after long time.Very tasty food and portion was quite big compare to other place around here.staff was very friendly, prompt service.good value for money.will definetly visit again. Highly recommended.

Takeaway for 4 adults and 3 teens for £55. So good price. Staff helpful but nothing special. Food good but lacking in meat content compared to what were used to back at home. Recommended overall.

Bude Spice takeaway is situated in the centre if Bude. The premises are spotlessly clean hence their 5 star hygiene rating. The staff are very pleasant and service was swift. The food was very tasty and good value for money, would recommend a visit.

Was a bit wary as not had many reviews but as their food hygiene rating was 5 we decided on a takeaway from Bude Spice whilst on holiday in Warbstow.

Fantastic authentic Curries here, we have had a few now since they opened and they are consistently excellent. Probably the best in North Cornwall.

Found a gem of a place in Bude. All dishes were excellent quality. Servings generous. Will definitely use the Bude Spice again.

Very good food and helpful polite staff, would definitely eat here again. Food is very tasty and there is plenty to choose from on the menu. Cobra beer too! Curry lovers heaven!!!
