Great food, great service and very good pricing great cafe highly recommend

We went in at the weekend the food was horrible eggs were under cooked and inedible the bacon was also uncooked the black pudding was so hard it was a like rock the tea was terrible had to ask for another tea bag and the girl looked at me like I was a fool Such a shame for the owner who was not there

Absolutely disgustingly disrespectful! I’m a transgender woman, and have been for a number of years, I do not look remotely male in any way.!! I visited the cafe today with my partner this afternoon, when I went up to the counter to place my order the “gentleman “ who served me whom I can only assume is possibly the owner or proprietor referred to me as “SIR “ while he took the order, I looked at him in disgust and disbelief and he corrected himself and said “sorry Madam “ I then asked for 2 coffees and he said “just normal coffees SIR”!!!! I could not believe what I was hearing? I then politely asked him to stop calling me SIR, he apologised again but the damage was done. I felt degraded and deflated to say the least, ok I may have a slightly deeper voice than some females but I definitely do not look like one, I can understand someone making a mistake we all do, but to make a mistake then correct yourself and apologise then in the very next breath do it again????? That is not a mistake, that is blatant ignorance and transphobia and there is absolutely no place for that kind of behaviour in this day and age. Obviously we will not be returning there again and I hope others from the LGBTQ community and beyond follow suit.

Well I ate in there a few months back and I was very disappointed with my toasted sandwich which came on a plate on its own. No salad, no coal slaw, it was on very thin bread and looked and tasted bland. There were young people working in there who were more interested in the young lad that was a customer, than the food they were serving. Show them how to dress a plate so that it looks inviting. Not a patch on Mrs T’s I’m afraid

Good food nice simple and not bad prices. Only gripe is that the glasses stink of eggs. They obviously don’t know about using vinegar before placing dishes that have had eggs on in the dishwasher! It was also very cold in there on the last visit which doesn’t help with wanting hot food

First time visit and was very impressed the café is very welcoming and clean. We ordered a breakfast which was absolutely lovely and the tea came in a teapot which was a bonus. Staff were lovely and very welcoming. I can100% recommend Buddies café and will certainly visit again.

Cheap processed food. Absolutely appalling. My eggs where fried on an excessive heat that made the underneath go to the consistency of what I imagine chipboard would feel like in your mouth. The sausage reminded me of of mushed up baby food. I don’t think you would find a trace of pork in them. Coffee was nice. I left all the breakfast. Why they don’t use good produce is beyond me. Won’t be going there again.

Best cafe by far, breakfasts are amazing and filling. Staff are all wonderful and friendly.

Lovely owner and staff. Had a sausage cob, huge cob, nice n fresh. Cappuccino made to order, nice n frothy and hot. Very reasonably priced too. Free parking in the Junction Road car park at the rear . If you're in Wigston and fancy something nice to eat and drink served by friendly staff at reasonable prices then pop in to Buddies. Highly recommended 👌

Ordered a buddies Sunday lunch collection today. Beef with roasties,mash, veg Yorkshire and lovely gravy. Meal ready on collection time, well packaged and hot. Really enjoyed it guys. Ian, Rose and faye work extremely hard to provide good tasty hot meals in difficult times, Ian even delivering meals on this really snowy day. Well done buddies.

Very disappointed, presentation was poor and visual was really insipid, no colour. Perhaps some imagination needed on presentation.

Had a socially distanced brunch in here. Great food and place was being constantly cleaned. Friendly helpful staff too.

The place is simple but OK. Quite spacious. We used a Groupon voucher and the value was quite good. Recommended.

Only visited once for breakfast and it was delightful. Lovely atmosphere friendly staff and great food. But my review is mainly for the stunning buffet prepared for my surprise party recently. Food quality was exemplary and remarked on by several guests who thought it was a local well known high class food store. Best scones, quality sausage rolls and a great nibbles selection and lovely fresh sandwiches. Beautifully prepared and presented. Can't thank you enough.

Came here for afternoon tea and was really impressed the service was good staff were so friendly and the sandwiches and cakes that were serve were delicious. Would definitely recommend you try it !......and I'm so going back again for a repeat yum yum yum 😍

We asked if they could cater for a small afternoon tea party for eight 6 year old with an Alice in wonderland theme, there was plenty to eat and plenty of choice with all the cakes made on site including the best chocolate birthday cake ever tasted, we were made to feel very welcome and a great time was had by all, thank you so much

What a lovely clean and friendly cafe,my husband and i have just been for breakfast,absolutely delicious,big breakfast 2 rounds of toast and a coffee all for £4.95 lovely and hot and well presented,staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble, we will definitely be returning.

What a lovely cafe buddies is very accommodating indeed. We had afternoon tea and service with a smile. That's what makes me go time and time again good prices too. Throughly enjoy it.

Thought I’d give this place a try, as I miss having a decent cafe near me. This place is just another run of the mill, mutton dressed as lamb combo. Cheap produce nothing sourced locally, bland and boring, you can tell the quality of a place buy their eggs. Mine were over cooked with that burnt golden hard shell on the bottom. The source bottles are Daddies. But I don’t know what’s in them? I think some cheap brand watered down. As it’s in wigston. The local people obviously don’t appreciate good food. Poor standard of food. Staff shouting out orders. I wouldn’t bother again.

The regular latte was well big enough for me and good coffee too. I had a fruit scone with it which was good. They have a full cafe menu too.

This is our 1st visit here.It is very clean.The food and drinks were piping hot and very tasty and the staff were very pleasant.Service was quick and prices were very reasonable.We will definately return here again.

Went for a coffee and toasted tea cake today. The coffee was hot (which in some coffee shops isn’t) and the toasted tea cake was very good. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and the shop is light bright and the staff are friendly. My one niggle was that it was chilly outside and was also chilly inside. Needed a little background heating.

Went here earlier today for an afternoon tea for 4. I hadn't been here before but brought a great value voucher via Groupon and so glad I did!
