As a chef just had fish chips and curry sauce and it was exceptional. Fresh fish, perfect batter and tasty curry sauce. Highly recommend

Compré papas fritas, pollo frito del sur y una pequeña salsa de curry anoche alrededor de las 7 pm. Mi favorito es el mejor pollo, pero cuando pregunté dijeron que no tenían ninguno, así que tuve que conformarme con 2 muslos. Cuando puso las 2 piezas en el papel tuve que pedirle que cambiara una de ellas ya que parecía que estaba fresca hace 2 semanas. Realmente fue TAN malo... un recubrimiento quemado muy oscuro y en general diminuto y que parecía que la carne real se había cocinado a la nada. Lo cambió por otra pieza que no era mucho mejor. La pequeña salsa de curry solía venir en una tina de poliestireno estándar, pero ahora están usando una tina de la mitad del tamaño (shrinkflation) ... fue literalmente 2 x cucharadas ... Cuando llegamos a casa del chippy apenas estaba caliente y congelado... nos negamos a meter esa basura en nuestros cuerpos. Las fichas tenían un sobreprecio, eran tibias y ligeramente gomosas... después de meterlas en el microondas, eran aún peores... de nuevo se metieron en el contenedor. Los trozos de pollo eran horribles... el envoltorio en el que entraron estaba absolutamente empapado en aceite de cocina... el pollo brillaba... pelamos un poco de la piel grasa y apenas vimos carne... decidimos NO comer esa basura... en el cubo. Así que una delicia nocturna de un chippy de una vez calidad (que ha estado yendo allí durante 15 años) se convirtió en queso en tostadas para nuestra comida de la noche ... .. poniendo casi £ 10 de detritus absoluto en el cubo. Cuando en el chippy la chica pudo ver claramente que no estaba impresionado ... así que en realidad le pregunté a qué hora dejan de cocinar pollo ... dijo que cerraron a las 9 pm, pero probablemente pondrán un poco de pechuga fresca en breve ... después de que nuestro dinero se había tomado y casi termina de servirnos. NUNCA MÁS. NUNCA volveremos a usar a estos traficantes de detritus... un servicio extremadamente pobre, actitud, comida repugnante y todo a un precio por decir lo menos! ¡Todos han sido advertidos!

I had a fly in my kebab I ordered from bucks chippey I rang in to get the issue sorted and they said it was an issue with the delivery service i.e Uber eats and still haven't got a refund nor reimbursed for this order

Ordered on entry 4 Donna kebabs, they only had enough meat grilled for two ( I wasn't told this by the server ). Two were made up and placed I later realised on top of the refrigerated salad section, whilst the grill was lit and more meat was hastily heated and half cooked.. brought the kebabs home, two were stone cold and two were luke warm and soggy with fat. Threw the lot. Waste of £23.20.

Always nice food from here but a bit disappointed with the chips of late. They've decided to reduce the size of chip and because of that, the quality of the chip has gone down.

Ordered lunch time special of pie chips and gravy . Would recommend this dish as one of my favourites . Quick service today as was quiet this lunch time

Used this shop ever since it opened. Don't go as regularly as before. Was shocked at the price & advised another price increase due, supplier led. Let's see what the Chancellor does in the budget! Becoming more of a treat than a weekly meal. Staff are lovely 😍

Food turned up very late and cold..... burger squished in the boxes, its a shame about the delivery as it is what causes the problem .....

Food is usually pretty good here, we eat weekly. Today the chips tasted and looked like they were frozen chips. Don’t know if they have changed their potato supplier or indeed actually used frozen product

So disappointed, had taken an order of mixed chicken kebab and was given a mixed meat kebab with lamb in it, there were people who were allergic to lamb in our group and so disappointed with the service.

Wow, have you slipped. I ordered large cod and got a haddock. Chips meant to be a large, more like regular, and terrible quality seems like the fats are dirty and old. The savaloy was soggy and stone cold, did you just take straight from freeze and partially microwave it. I had you guys as the best in leicester. I am so disappointed. Will not be returning. Only if zarconi on Narborough Road was still around next to the co op.

2 plaice 19pounds hardley any fish all batter, one lost customer. They will not keep customers this way. Too busy to care.

Not visited for years but told it had improved, tried it tonight.... food went straight in the bin after a couple of mouthfuls followed a short time later with my partners. Disgusting, will never return, worst I've had by far.

Just bought fish and chips. The fish was fine but the chips were a massive let down! 70% of the chips were inedible as they were made from manky potatoes absolute disgrace not only that they dry like cardboard! Never again!

I eat here every week and the food is usually really good, good portions a friendly staff. Today a different story staff were rude, portions tiny, had about 12 chips.

Kebab is currently in the bin. Been going to Bucks for years, but today I’ve been served more grease than food. The smell was revolting, like hot cat food. Not going back.

Absolutely the best I've had in Leicester, the last fish I had was enormous. The chicken tikka kebab in naan is exceptional. Generally the portions are generous too.

Stopped off for a chicken tikka wrap,waited about 10 minutes to get served and even then the young woman was going to serve someone that had walked in 5 minutes after me. My wrap was made quick enough after my order,it was lovely,plenty of meat and very tasty.only gripe with it was that it wasn’t wrapped up properly like a wrap(it was open both ends)so in turn when I picked it up to take a bite,the filling fell out the bottom. It got devoured non the less and will definitely be back for another soon.

After being charged £4.20 for a portion of chips, I expected them to be edible. I wouldn't have given them to a starving dog. How you can call yourself a chip shop is beyond me. Trading standards will be getting a call Monday morning

Order doner meat and chips and the doner was cut like someone couldn't be bothered. It was thick and chunky ends from the bottom, needed to actually cut it with a knife again to even attempt to eat it. Used to be nice back in the day but definitely gone downhill.

I went there and ordered two fish and chips it comes to £28 pounds the man infont of me order two pieces of chicken and chips they charge him £20 pounds extortion avoid the fish is meant to be large they put small fish with lashings of batter on it to deceive you it's not worth the money it's ripping people off avoid at all costs

I live near i use bucks 1 or 2 times per month was in last sat around 5.30 had small fish small chips and mushey peas every time i have had this it has been great this time the food was cold the fish and batter was dried up the chips were dry the peas were wartery very disapointing

An absolutely stunning chippy. A great variety menu, cooked to perfection. And the extremely friendly helpful staff are always happy to cook your food how you want it. Everytime I make a telephone order the guy who takes my call always recognises me within seconds. Large chips (salt no vinegar) 9 fish bites (crispy cooked) 1 large Curry Sauce. What an awesome start to friday evening and the weekend. Bucks Chippy gets a 10/10 every time.

I went there yesterday for two kebab to find that at 9pm they had run out of salad bad management and staff planning so don't waste your time traveling their for nothing if I could give no stars I would rubbish chippy avoid at all costs

We live locally and used to go here once a week around 8-10 years ago for chips but haven't recently. We had an uber eats voucher so decided to order for pick up. Got mixed meat kebab, mixed tray, and large battered chips, and 1 pc chicken. All excellent! We added some substitutes in the notes in the app and I saw the woman preparing our food reading them when I got there which is great, lots of places ignore the notes. V large portions, good pricing, great takeaway, attentive staff. What more do you want from a chippy.

Had 2 kebabs from here at 2 separate times. 1 time the mean has the biggest bone in it. The second time the chicken in the peri peri chicken kebab was raw. Like actually raw. Absolute discgrace. Don't order from here or you might break your tooth or die from food poisoning

First Of All The Fish And Chips From Here Is Faultless But The Mixed Kebab I Had The Other Day Well That Was Something Else!! I Will Elaborate, Great Cutomer Service And A Massive Well Presented Portion And The Food Was Lovely Honestly Couldn't Fault It...But Then About An Hour Later After I'd Finished I Had Severe Stomach Cramps And Were Pebble Dashing For Over Half An Hour So Either The Food Doesn't Agree With Me Or Its The Food Either Way Next Time I Will Opt For Fish And Chips.

Best fish and chips in Leicester city. Always freshly prepared food, consistently satisfactory portion sizes, friendly and efficient staff, easy to access from town with several routes to it. Usually have the haddock and chips, but whatever we have it's always delicious. They will even do a light batter on request. Highly recommended!
