Bubbles Bar in Plymouth

So we ordered 2 ice cream waffles and asked for a few extra spoons as we did not want one each due to ordering other food earlier and pretty stuffed. That’s when the ladies serving got a bit annoyed and then spoke about us in their own language. You could clearly tell they were not talking about us very nicely. Come on for a couple of extra spoons ? Would have happily paid another 5 p each for them if that’s what they wanted. I mean the ice cream bubble waffles are not exactly cheap so what’s all the fuss. Think they need to take a chill pill. Also the place could do with a clean and make it more child friendly. Would be interested to know what the hygiene rate is too ?

We almost didn't go in. We were just wandering through the building looking at the shops. We passed the place on the way up, and looked at it on the way down, and it was unclear what they were selling, so went outside. As we did we saw their a-frame advert, and that what they were selling was bubble waffles with fruit and ice cream and sauces. They looked great. So, curious (and a little bit excited) we went in. Glad we did. What a great experience. You can either have one of the set menus, where they decide the ingredients. Or you can select your own ingredients. We selected our own, and had great fun. The result is huge - they can, and should, be shared.

The perfect alternative to your classic ice-cream! Slightly difficult to find, in fact we walked straight past and into someone’s courtyard area. But would recommend for a novel sweet treat!

Great choice and we all enjoyed our waffle ice cream. The shop is slightly hidden but worth a visit.

Waffles increíbles. Servicio rápido y muy buena relación calidad-precio. Tuve el gofre banoffee y estaba lleno de mucho helado, crema, plátano y nueces. Mi marido tenía el caramelo salado y gofres de palomitas de maíz y dijo que también era increíble. ¡Definitivamente volveremos y definitivamente recomiendo una visita!

We went for a waffle yesterday with extended family and had another amazing waffle! Customer service is second to none and the premises are clean tidy and inviting, Looking forward to our next visit!

Lovely staff and the best bubble wraps. Plenty of toppings to choose from. Always pay a visit when we are in the area

Love this place. It's difficult to find somewhere "cool" to take my teenage boy, he loves it here! The waffles are amazing. plus the staff are always friendly

First time having one of these and it was amazing. The service was excellent, can't fault it. The waffle cones are incredible and there are lots of different choices with the ice cream and toppings. It's not difficult to find, but isn't on the main street, just follow the gorgeous smell. Can't recommend it enough. Will definitely be going back.

Great ice cream and the cones are amazing worth a vist if your in the Barbican. Be prepared for the size of the cones.

A lovely treat delicious bubble waffles with a whole choice of ice cream and treats to pile on, reasonable price and extremely tasty.

While looking for the Elmer elephants dotted around Plymouth, quick stop here for AMAZING ice cream and waffle. They were delicious!! Only gripe was lack of seating and there appeared to be no toilets!! Also where was the bubble tea!? I was really looking forward to trying a bubble tea! Never mind, would come back!!

The bubble waffle ice cream cones are amazing. Yummy cornish ice cream, delicious cones, and great variety of toppings.

Recently visited Bubbles Bar and had an amazing waffle, friendly staff, amazing waffles and loads of variety of flavours! Will certainly be returning!!

Fairly recent so we took a look. Just up from the Barbican and bottom of New Street. Waffles with a multitude of fillings/toppings. Closer to the busy tripper areas than the other waffle place at a stall in the pannier market. Bubbles could do with...
