Very impressed with our meal. Came quickly, quality great and reasonably priced. Staff friendly too. Would definitely go back.

Establecimiento horrible dirigido por un hombre horrible, este no es el tipo de lugar para llevar a amigos de la familia o incluso a ti mismo. Está sucio y funciona muy mal. Evite este lugar.

Furioso, disgustado y rechazado por lo que presencié la noche del sábado 30/6/18 en BSB. Mis pensamientos iniciales fueron que mis pies nunca se han pegado al piso de un pub tan mal en mi vida. Literalmente tuve que pelarlos del suelo para moverlos. Los aseos y las mesas estaban terriblemente sucios, pero era un sábado por la noche y supongo que habrían visto a muchas personas durante todo el día. Sin embargo, todo esto palideció en la insignificancia cuando nos sentamos junto a la ventana viendo pasar a la gente y fuimos testigos de cómo uno de los empleados de la puerta atacaba a una joven cuando ella caminaba afuera. Él la empujó al piso por su garganta. Llamaron a la policía y esperamos con la niña hasta que encontraron a sus amigos. La policía tiene nuestros detalles. Cuando se le preguntó por su número, otro miembro del equipo de "seguridad" gritó "¡no somos de servicio público", nunca se dijeron unas palabras más verdaderas! Actitud absolutamente vergonzosa. Un varón (digo macho porque este cabrón no es ningún hombre) que puede empujar a una joven por el cuello al suelo por nada, frente a testigos y circuito cerrado de televisión, ¡bueno, solo puedes preguntarte qué haría a puertas cerradas!

Visited here mid evening on a Friday. The bar was quite busy and we were served quite quickly by a lovely, friendly bar maid. Once we had received our drinks we sat down at a table. Not long after, we were asked to move by someone who I think may have been the manager - this was because the tables were on the dance floor and the music was starting up - I must add that the bar was mostly full of men who were watching the England game. However, we moved as requested and surprisingly enough, the next 30 minutes, not a soul was dancing. There were quite a lot of very drunk people who were also getting continued to be served alcohol. I also had to tell a member of staff that there was no toilet roll in 2 of the female cubicles (which weren't the cleanest). Overall, apart from the friendly barmaid, I found the staff quite angry - I wouldn't say aggressive but I also wouldn't say approachable or helpful!

As a student on a budget, I wanted to take my cousin to somewhere cheap but cheerful by the waterside in Bristol. We both opted for cod and chips with peas for around £6 I think. We waited for half an hour for our food to come (which in my opinion is 10 minutes too long for just fish and chips. When the food arrived it was lukewarm, the fish looked like a larger version of what you'd buy frozen in ASDA, and did not taste good at all. The peas were so vile we regretted putting them anywhere near our mouths, and the chips were cold and greasy. Although the staff at the bar were good, it was a shame that no courtesy check was performed as I think that is vital customer service, and had it been done we would have been able to feedback the issues with the food, and possibly got it changed.

I came here after seeing there ad burger and drink for £5.99. I had Chicken burger with chips with Diet coke. Also on the other side I had a other drink called Jack Daniels. Has she was pouring my drink she spilt my drink on the mat I ask her to do a top up but she ignore me but, I still pay up. Which was £5.90 for double shot. Sorry you know you spilt my drink you could have done a bit of top up. you lost some points here and the business with me. My food was delicious but I found the Chicken small and the burger bun bigger.

I had once again their 10 chicken wings with cips and salad for about £7, very good tasting and the staff is friendly and fast (I was eating in 10 minutes after I placed the order). BSB is one of the places I eat in when in Bristol.

If you're Bristol want a nice hot cheap family meal go here . Food for six took about 10 mins and was hot staff friendly only let down was the toilets needed a bit of a clean. I wouldn't suggest coming here after about 7.30 with family as i would say thats when the night crowd of drinkers come in so not to good for youngsters.

Ordered large rib steak on the bone, completely not fit for human consumption and debatable whether or not it was actual beef. Avoid any hassle and walk right on to Wetherspoons a few doors down. Wouldn't even offer a refund as told "these are how they come in", from where the vets???

We popped in for burgers on our way to the Arnolfini on our last day in Bristol as we saw that they had a meal deal offer on burgers plus drinks. I have a dairy allergy so I asked if the vegetarian burger contained cheese. "You can have cheese if you like?" I said that I not only didn't want cheese but that I wanted to know if the burger itself contained ANY dairy as I was allergic. "No, it doesn't come with cheese" I repeated that I needed to know if the burger had ANY dairy at all. Absolutely not was the reply. I repeated once more: "So there is absolutely NO dairy whatsoever in the burger?" 100% no. We waited for our meal and the burgers arrived. I know from experience to always check and a simple pull apart of the burger revealed - you guessed it - great globs of cheese inside. It's bad enough when you ask someone very specific questions pertaining to an allergy, but when they outright LIE to your face it's potentially life-threatening. Complete waste of money and time, and shocking customer service.

popped in briefly for a few drinks during my trip to Bristol, staff were very friendly and the drinks were great, feeling it this morning haha. would recommend to friends

Just note that they DON'T cover local Bristol football teams here. Food just about average drinks at the price you would expect for the area.

Met up with a few friends here on Saturday evening. The bar reminds me of a weatherspoons, but I can not fault the speedy service nor the good nature of the staff. There are TV screens everywhere you look so you will never miss a bit of the action on the game being featured. We didn't stay long but enjoyed our hour or so catching up with some mates. Also we did not have food but the plates passing up looked good.

Came here with group of friends, was okay a lot of rowdy people, drinks in plastic cups which is always a concern, initial glass was dirty and had to ask for it to be changed, table sticky and dirty, floor the same however drinks were cheap and music relatively good, think I'd try somewhere else if back in this area but if your after fast service and cheap drinks it's worth a visit.

Con la gran variedad de lugares para comer y beber en la zona que quieras que este lugar sería esforzarse más. Bebidas comida bien, pero bien por debajo de lo normal. Sí, es uno de los lugares más baratos para comer en el puerto, pero hay un Lloyd's (Wetherspoon) 2 minutos sirve comida a precios similares, pero de calidad superior. No recomendaría este lugar.

I had a good burger, it was cooked and prepared well and came with enough chips to satisfy my hunger. There is outdoor seating and you have to order at the bar. It was very good I enjoyed. Not much could go wrong with service or food as the place had somewhat of a limited menu.A cool place to hang with friends and have a pint or two.

The place was dirty... the floors were sticky... it was around 8pm and there was only around 10 people in the place... it was dark and freezing in there so we had one cocktail (which was very strong) and left. We asked to buy a bottle of wine on our way out to take to the hotel and we're refused. Wouldn't recommend a visit.

Stopped in here on a Saturday for a few drinks and to watch the football. Bar service was relatively quick, but we managed to get in before the rush - the place does fill up very quickly when the football is on. Very good location on the waterside. We would return.

I had a drink here which was OK, but the establishment itself was quite dirty. The toilets were absolutely disgusting- the worst I've ever seen. I will not be returning.

I got to stay in Bristol recently for business and personal reasons so had a chance to sample the buzzy nightlife of what seems to be a fantastic city. Sadly, this meant also visiting this place briefly as I was looking for somewhere to catch up with the Ryder Cup.The bar is quite a large place on the waterfront with numerous large TV screens set up for sports watching. Visibility of screens and access to drinks are the beginning and end of the benefits of the place.First I had to navigate my way round the bouncers straddled across the doorway who made no effort to move and let customers in. Then I had to negotiate a barmaid who, after finally wrenching her way to actually serve someone, could not manage a smile or even a thank you (surely prerequisites for the job she purports to do). Amazingly, one member of staff spent his time behind the bar with a surly look on his face, no engagement with customers and hands thrust deep into the pockets of his donkey jacket.One glass of wine (in a plastic glass - classy!) was enough and I was on my way. The premises and location of this place have real potential but it desperately needs professional management and properly recruited and trained staff. Above all, they need to stop resenting the customers who pay their wages.

Staff are rude. Food wasn't too bad. Coke was served in a glass containing mostly ice. Debit card was almost ripped from my hand to put into the machine.

We went here for a quick lunch on a Sunday. Everywhere else was packed and food was a ridiculous wait. Here was quieter so being as hungry as we were we decided to eat here.Paid a little under £16 for 2 jacket potatoes, portion of garlic bread and 2 soft drinks - extremely overpriced and the food wasn't great. Wish we had found somewhere else.

Stopped in for lunch when visiting Bristol. The food was fine, for a reasonable price, and the service fairly efficient. But I found the ladies toilet to be horrible (and I was told the men's toilet was likewise). For that reason, I would definitely not return.

My husband and I were is Bristol for the Open Doors event and decided to stop here for a quick lunch.The location is good as it overlooks the harbour side although it can get quite busy with pedestrian traffic between the restaurant and the waterside tables.The menu is basic but then so is the price so don't go expecting fab food!You order inside at the bar and they give you a table number. I waited ages to be served and they were not even that busy. The staff were not that engaging which bordered on being quite rude. Anyway they took my order and I went back outside to my table.My husband ordered the ham egg and chips whilst I went for the scampi and chips. The food did not take long to arrive but at least the waitress was happy and chatty. As I said before the food is basic but it was hot and nicely presented.Great place for a quick bite to eat.

This place is on the waterfront in a lovely location and the food is good. Apart from that the bar staff would prefer to chat to each other rather than serve the public, it seemed that we were an inconvenience to them. Our food was lovely and we were quickly served but our waiter was chewing as he came over, I did originally worry that he was eating one of my chips but no he was actually chewing gum! Not a good impression.

Really welcoming staff and some great food. The position is perfect and the seating outside on the river is fantastic.

This place is right on the water front. The drinks are very reasonable for it`s location. The pub food is also very good, with generous servings. Almost all sporting events are shown on a number of screens around the bar area. Well worth a visit.

We moved from next door as the football was being shown. .... being a sports bar no suprise!! The rowdy crowd were in full swing but it was harmless banter being heavily monitored which did spoilt the atmosphere for me. The bottled beer was the option for me as read about poor beer here. The toilets were grim..... I'd best say no more only upside not many ladies no never a queue.

Had amstel it was flat. Ordered Heineken it was flat . Vile vile vile. Changed 2 pints within 10 minutes

Stopped for a quick bite to eat at lunchtime. Staff completely uninterested. Electrician walking all over bar in work boots changing bulbs - no cloths down. Food was quickly served, and to be fair was good for what we paid. In summary, disappointing furniture (wobbly table with high bar stools), good value food, TVs showing sport (as the name suggests!), quick delivery of food from eventually getting a member of staff to take an order. Ok for a quick bite.

The food was fine, pretty okay prices and edible. Think Wetherspoons level meals, not bad but not exactly fine dining. The service was fine but not exactly pleasant.The toilets were DISGUSTING. My god. If it had been just me I would have held it rather than step inside after seeing them, but I had a desperate three year old and it was VILE. They were not clean, the locks were a bit dodgy, the water pressure is gross, theres a smell. Honestly, I've been all over and used many varying degrees of gross public toilets, this is in the top three worst in the world.

I want to be very careful to write a balanced review about this place which is indeed a sports bar and does indeed show a variety of sports on large screens. We entered about 5:30 PM on a Wednesday and were attracted by the sign offering bottles of wine at £6.99 which we accepted. The wine was very good and as readers of my reviews will know, my French wife is very choosy about her vin.The problems came when we ordered food. I ordered a seabass fillet which duly arrived with chips and salad and some Tartar sauce. The problem is I could not find the seabass, it was about 6 inches long, overcooked, and I think I had about four mouthfuls. The cost was £8.95. I did finish the food and on my way out mentioned to the Barman that the portion was ridiculously small.He seemed apologetic and called the owner. The owner who I guess was a Russian person was philosophical but non-aggressive and asked me would I like other another meal. I said no because I had to catch the bus. He then offered a refund which I accepted. I had taken pains to advertise that I had enjoyed the visit and found the wine excellent. At no time did I raise my voice and I said that it was a comment not a complaint in other words I was acknowledging that other people may well have found the meal acceptable. I believe that because I was reasonable I got a recompense. I think that is the golden rule to complain about the situation not the person because no one deliberately gives bad service. It could have been a mistake by the cook, an off day, the last one in the pack, etc etcDue to their response I shall definitely be returning though it should be added that the food is very definitely standard pub food and not gourmet food. what I shall carry away from this experience was that at all costs try not to put people's backs up, talk with them not at them. so that is my 2p worth folks on what was stun shock horror a sunny evening

On the positives there are loads of screens here for those hunting for a pub to watch the footy or the rugby. You can see at least one pretty much anywhere you are.There is plenty of bar space and the bar staff are pretty efficient.On the downside, it really did smell. A lot of rank BO going on in there that even a fair few pints didn't mask.Could do with a little more seating but we didn't get there very early in all fairness.Overall not a bad place for some cheeky beers while you're watching the game but not somewhere you'd go for a quiet drink.

Family day out, stopped at this place as daughter had seen the burgers being served to other people. Gave order and sat down - others arrived after us and proceeded to get their orders served before us - after waiting 40 minutes I approached the bar to be told that our order had not even reached the kitchen!!! I was all for cancelling and getting as refund but daughter and my mum were both really hungry so agreed to wait for meal, promised within 10 minutes! Arrived after 20 minutes with a half hearted apology for delay - average food we all left at least a third of meal and we all had something different. Not offered discount or further conversation regarding out meal/order, very poor customer service indeed. WE WILL NOT BE BACK.

There are so many places along the water this should be your last choice!!The bar staff, which was two women (6pm) were absolute disgrace in attitude and manor. We were obviously an interruption to there life. And the place was not busy!! Tables feel greasy and food was rubbish. This is the place to have a few drinks and then you don't care what the food is like or the toilets (disgusting) or the bar staff. The only staff member that was thankful for working was the waiter.

Stumbled across this place on a night out, wow, was really impressed, ive never seen so many tv's, highly recommend this place, we didnt eat there but the food did look good, we will be back

It is a pub with a very cozy atmosphere, great for sports fans, very good food and beers. Pleasant evening. Recommended.

Visited for a quick snack and to watch the football. Had the all day breakfast and while it was cheap it was pretty poor all round. The place isn't bad though, decent for the football plenty of seating and plenty of screens.

Simple menu and decent value. My veggie burger was good and my other half enjoyed the pork belly. Service was friendly and sit inside or out.

Had a quick lunch here and was pleasantly surprised. Food was cooked quickly and was very good. Price was very reasonable, staff we're friendly. Its not up market at all but good for a well priced, tasty quick lunch if that's all your looking for.Only down point, i did notice was that the toilets needed a bit of a clean. Looked like the loos hadn't been freshened up after the night before.

This is a sports bar in a brilliant location with really great staff serving surprisingly good food at very reasonable prices. We stopped by for a burger and a pint before going to a concert. The atmosphere was lively but friendly. There was a large Stag party having a very loud and happy time but they were well behaved and never made anyone feel uncomfortable. The staff handled them superbly. The bar is right on the harbourside which is a lively and pleasant place to be with tables outside giving you a great view and wonderful people watching opportunities if you are lucky enough to find a free table. Our burgers were really good quality, great tasting and very filling. They provided excellent value for money and the staff who served them were friendly, helpful and professional. We would be perfectly happy to eat here again and would be very comfortable recommending the bar to anyone in search of an informal meal and a drink in casual interesting surroundings.

Food and drink ok - nothing spectacular but generally adequate.There is definitely an issue with the loos. Interesting to see how often this is raised here. Wish I had checked first. Poorly maintained. No paper.But worst of all is a faulty lock in one cubicle leaving my 8 year old son locked in. The guy from behind the bar got him out but interestingly he seemed to know exactly how to do this. Leads me to think this has happened many times before but the lock is still not repaired.Even more - he was not remotely apologetic for the trauma my son went through. Did not mention the word "sorry" at all. Did not even ask of my son was ok. Dreadful and shocking attitude.My son is now scared to go to the loo in a public toilet.

I had a reasonable meal here. They had what I was looking for on the menu and that is why I chose it. Staff a bit indifferent, not very customer focused. Whatever you do not use the ladies toilets. Only three cubicles for such a large bar, cramped and well below my standards. Needs must when the devil drives.

Came here for a quick bite to eat before seeing the Kaiser Chiefs at the Summer Series. The staff behind the bar - well there were 3 but 1 was training another and the other 1 decided to just ignore everyone and walk away ino the kitchen. It wasn't busy but by the time I was served there was a queue of people. I was only ordering a drink and find out what to do about ordering food! The speed of the food being delivered was random but the food was pretty good for the price.

My fiance, myself and our 11 year old daughter came her for lunch on 30th June 2015 - big mistake! Our order was chicken nuggets, club sandwich and lamb chops with onion rings (instead of chips) firstly the girl that served us interpreted club sandwich as cod and chips?! Ordered drinks water, coke and lemonade these were the cheapest of the cheap and undrinkable. Our meals came and i was given onion rings the man walked away i said that there was still lamb chops to come he looked at the slip and said it looked like there wasnt so he went to check, he came back to say the girl didnt put the order through so he would put it through now free of charge. so i just sat and ate my onion rings while i waited oon my lamb chops. As time passed it transpired the girl had given my lamb chops to another customer. the man who i can only presume was a supervisor came to apologise again this time to say that lamb chopswould be puton again but we would get desserts free of charge now. So we chose desserts andthey said they would hold mine back until i had had my chops but instead if doing that they gave me my dessert and held back my daughters. I asked the girl twice to givemy daughter her dessert but she blatantly ignored our pleas and glared at our table any time she walked passed us. The male member of staff did try his best to help us but by then it was too late.

Not bad food and price is good food was cooked well if you like takeaway food and want to sit down somewhere this is the place had pork chop and chips and it was genuinely nice the fat on the outside was burnt but chop itself was lovely my partner had lamb shish and she enjoyed hers we had onion rings to share if you go here don't get the onion rings there nasty and ketchup is cheap

Had lunch here - not too impressed, the food was warm but not hot, then I found a hair mingled in with beans and cheese on my Jacket Potato - wasn't too impressed with the staff either. Good outlook from seating outside, but confusing inside with lots of TV screens all showing different things. Hadn't been open for business more than a few hours but toilets needed a good clean.

Being in bristol on business we decided to have food in bsb place was pleasant menu was good staff were very nice and the food was very nice and very good priced

Good prices, friendly staff lovely location. Food is ok. Nice place to sit with a glass of wine and watch the world go by. Would recommend this as a nice place to stop bit wouldn't eat here again.

Ordered food here at 8.20 including kids meal.At 9.00 member of waiting staff abrasively told us that our baby (8years old) had to leave whilst his kids meal was still on table.Managercame out a minute later to try and present it more politely. Didn't work our son ended up crying as he thought he had done something wrong and kinda ruined wifes bday after spending day travelling up from Kent. Really not impressed!!!!!!

Visited Thursday evening just needing a snack as had eaten at lunch. Bar great, good music, Food good came quickly had a club sandwich and jacket potato, which were lovely. Very good value for money also the bar. Would eat here again

Thin, slimy burgers with frozen onion rings and cold chips. All eight of my party agreed that the food at BSB was below standard and we should have gone to Wetherspoons. The tables, floor and toilet areas were dirty and the place was cold. I definitely would not return here.

Needed to eat quickly and this fitted the bill. Had wraps and sandwiches. Fresh and really quick and they made an effort to clear the table so all good.

Popped in here to watch the footie, after the Wetherspoons tv wasn't a good signal. actually it was a better choice. footie and rugby was on, it was an attractive pub! clean and tidy! it was warm ( another review said it wasn't!) . had a decent meal for six pounds, loads of chips. Polite waitress. So yes a good choice!

Visited a couple of days ago and found the staff to be polite and helpful, drinks and food where not expensive and having the footy on the big screen helped! I have two issues, firstly, it was a very cold day and i guess they didnt want to heat the bar up, so instead everyone decided to keep there coats on, this obviously means, if you order food then eat it quickly, it will be frozen within 5 mins! Secondly, i understand why people collect for charity in shopping centres and streets but being allowed in pubs and bars whilst your eating and drinking is a big no no for me and i have a feeling a few other people feel the same! BSB please ask that lady to collect outside, as that is a reason that i will probably not come in again, for fear of being hassled at my table for cash!!

Monday night and, found ourselves unavoidably in town and hungry. Walked around a bit and found this place on the Waterfront. Footie was on and a bit of an atmosphere. Sea Bass was good and, the burger was tasty - did the trick. Sauvignon Blanc fine and, Guinness reliable. Would go back in similar circumstance.

Popped in here for a couple of beers and looking for something to eat on a chilly Wednesday night in Bristol. The bar manager was brusque and clearly enjoyed bullying his staff. Any HR training, know how to get your staff motivated? I don't think so. A simple mistake with our drinks by a new member of staff (who incidentally was very friendly and clearly trying to be helpful) was made a meal of by the bar manager. So we were not exactly warming to this place. The menu was ok, some basic pub fayre I guess and promised 'fresh food sourced locally'. Went to the loo, which was a bit grubby and the advert frames were all old broken ones held together by sellotape - not the attention to detail that inspires confidence in the kitchen. So we passed on the food and also passed on any more drinks.It's a sports bar. It's probably ok to go and have a pint and watch a game but not much atmosphere and I doubt if the food is anything other than standard catering supplier fayre.

We had a nice meal for four people on Wed.5th Nov.2014.Good selection on the menu and at a good price just over £5.00 per head which included 3 coffees and half of cider. Good service and the meal was served hot. Pleasant staff. Would recommend stopping here.

Fine for a pint and to watch a game but no other reason to visit. I'd rather starve than eat the poor imitation of food they serve here.

We visited here on a quiet sunday night during a weekend stay in bristol, they had quite a choice on there menu but we had already eaten so only stayed for drinks. We both ordered cuba libres, drinks were well priced at 2 for £6 and staff were friendly. Nice lay out and would be lovely in the summer as right on the waterside.

We visted the bar, after a walk along the harbourside, we opted for the 2 for 1 cocktails. The staff were pleasant. It was a sunday night and the bar was very quiet which suited us. The drinks were promptly served. We sat and enjoyed the drinks. Unfortunately the toilets let this place down, they were dirty and unpleasant. They were closing at 10pm on a sunday night

Decided to take a quick bite and had passed here a couple of times so decided to give it a try. Food was good with reasonable portions.

Went with my boyfriend on the 17th afternoon Sunday. We were waiting in a que but the lady started serving locals before us even tho we were waiting for ages. Lady with long blode hair and glasses asked me and my partner for our id's so unpolite , no please or thank you what's so ever. I think her hair should be tied up for health and safety reasons. I personally work in a pub myself and I think it's really unheygenic. I asked for the cheapest half larger shandy and it cost me £1.90 , so that means they charge £3.80 for the cheapest larger ? Don't think I will come back and I would never recommend that place to anyone.

Spent my last day off work enjoying the sun with my daughter. We decided to stop for lunch, ordered cod & chips, after a short while food arrived, looked ok, when we cut into the breaded fish we soon realised it had not been cooked enough and was still frozen in the middle, we returned to food and waited for a while to receive our lunch again. It was a different piece of fish which pleased me knowing they had cooked a fresh one but yet again this was frozen inside..Once is ok but twice is unacceptable. We had a refund with little apology. we left. I would not recommend this restaurant for lunch.

It was our first experience in Bristol. We ordered pork chops and lamb chops. The waiter asked us when he brought the food who is serving the pork and who is serving the lamb and even so they switched our food. All the food wasn't prepared enough. Horrible food and experience!!!

Dived in here to watch the Holland - Mexico match after the debacle next door (you will have to read one of my other reports for that...) .They were much more set up as a music bar, with the thumping music (Bass) on as soon and as long as they could.Upon the half time whistle most of the bar staff disappeared leaving one person to deal with the hordes heading to top up, although most did re-appear within a few minutes. After half time a delegation of clients had to find bar staff to switch back from the compulsory music (which they clearly prefer) to the actual commentary..So, to my mind, a Bar which may show sports, but not a sports bar.

The place is loud and the food is terrible, I would rather go to Weatherspoons & wait an hour then spend 2 minutes in this place.

Been here plenty times. This place has saved me from dying of boredom while working away. The staff have always been happy and friendly. The food is lovely; I try to have the lamb chops if they're available... And it's not expensive either. The sport is of a good standard and always relevant. The atmosphere is lively and great for people watching. I recommend a visit if you're in the area :)

The Bsb is located on the water shed next to the Harbourside edge, it had good music, very friendly staff, and some well priced meal deals, great for families during the day, but if football is on it can be very busy as it's a sports bar, worth a visit though

Terrible food from disinterested staff. Toilets shabby - soiled toilet paper. Tuna mayo sandwich was like mush with dots of yellow sweetcorn here and there, stale cucumber - should have sent it back but tired out after busy day site seeing.Would not recommend this place at all.

We came here for a quick bite to eat after we arrived in Bristol, it wasn't the best start to out trip away. We ordered food and it came in good time but what we got was processed greasy takeaway food. We also ordered cheese on our burgers which we paid for but me never got. But even that wouldn't have saved the meals. There are amazing places to eat in Bristol but this isn't one of them.

While visiting the Aquarium and harbour area we stopped here for lunch. What a mistake. The seating was mainly at tables that are about 3ft from the ground with very high stools and chairs, very uncomfortable if you have short legs as there is nowhere to rest your feet and you end up cutting the blood supply off! There were no free tables inside initially so we sat outside which was far too cold - obviously not the fault of the restaurant. We decided to go back inside and take our chances as we were still waiting (20 minutes) for our meal. We eventually found a vacant table but had to sit quite still and not lean on it at all as there was a leg which was loose and in danger of falling off. After a further 10 minutes our meals arrived. I had ordered a jacket potato with beans and cheese, a simple choice which was totally spoiled as the plate was filled up with a pile of salad, dripping in a dressing. This totally spoiled my lunch as the dressing, which I hate, had seeped under the potato. Why don't restaurants tell you that there will be a dressed salad so that you can ask for your meal without it? My husband's fish was straight from the freezer - thin, dried up, with more breadcrumbs than fish and quite overcooked. The chips looked half cooked and were luke warm on arrival.While we were eating a member of staff decided to clear the dirty plates from the previous occupants which we had had to push to the end of the table. Poor service all round.

I visited for the weekend with a group of friends. On the sunday we decided to order food from BSB bar. The food came quickly but i was given an asda smartprice like ready meal lasagne with nearly a plate full of lettuce and tomato. My friend had chicken wings which were nearly charcoal. The place seem to only have 2 staff member working during a time when there was alot of people packed in there. Overall may of just been a bad day but would never come back here if I went to Bristol again.

Great bar, good location, the usual young crowd out for a good night. DJ was great, played some fantastic tunes. Played ALL of my very annoying husbands requests.Thanks for humoring him

the location is great, the atmosphere wasn't the best you could possibly find, to me the music was a little too loud, the food was good but better places can be found and that area gives you a good choice, on a positive note the price was good.

Following a visit to the pantomime at the Hippodrome, Bristol, where do you go and eat at 8:30pm before driving 1 hour home? The Bristol Sports Bar, Waterside. There were six of us, only one of whom was under 60, and we were seduced into the restaurant by a board advertising "burger & a drink" for under £5. The staff were accommodating, even explaining that the drink could be a half pint of lager/beer, but that if we had a pint she would only charge the additional ½ pint! Very friendly and quick to take our order. Even more surprising was that the burger (beef or chicken) turned up on a platter with loads of the best chips (fries) that I have had in a long time: crispy on the outside and piping hot and tasty on the inside. The burger tasted almost as good as an Angus steak burger and was cooked to perfection. You would be hard pressed to get anything displaying such good quality and quantity anywhere else in Bristol, let alone the Waterside area.I can't wait to return and have a full meal there!

I got a good small breakfast - sausage, egg, bacon and toast - and a nice pot of tea, all for just under £4.50. Plus a great view of the Bristol harbourside from somewhere comfortable to sit outside, under cover. Nice people serving, whose smiles weren't just painted on. Highly recommended.
