Very badly run pub not outside friendly at all they let people in there with knives in their pockets and druggies not a place for families in my experience

Dirty, Smelly pub with disgusting people. Save your money and spend elsewhere. Never go here again. Dump.

Went to this pub on a Saturday night for a few beers as hadn't been here for a long time. Will never go here again. The place smelt disgusting and the beer tasted like the pipes hadn't been clean out for a year with bits floating in it. Upon using the toilet, to find chavs sniffing white powder in there, I found the urinals overflowing on the floor. Decided to have a game of pool but was threatened and told to leave. Horrible pub full of scutters. Avoid.

Found this pub a great afternoon out. The locals were very friendly and welcoming. There is a great banter in there and music caters to all. A big plus is that it’s a good pint too.

Called in for a cheap meal the other night with the wife and was impressed with the menu and the cost there was a nice homely atmosphere and the staff were friendly they have entertainment on during some nights in the week and every weekend if your looking for a nice evening out give them a try you won't be dissapointed .

Our favourite chippy in the area. Friendly staff. We live 2 minutes from a chippy but choose to drive to this one because it is so much better

I went to this pub Friday night for a quick drink with friends to find dirty old men sniffing what I believe was cocaine on the table, just out in the open. I then discovered when I went to the bar to order my drinks to find the bar maid wearing a dress what look liked it was meant for a 15 year old and she smelt of beer which must have been consumed during her shift as the smell as very strong. When I went to the toilet it looked like they hadn't been cleaned for several weeks.

Living local we visited the Brunswick as we felt we would get good value for money; the menu offers good quality typical pub grub. My husband had sirloin steak, which was cooked perfectly to his taste and the home made chips were the best we have eaten for a very very long time. I had gammon which was also cooked perfectly. The presentation was good, the food was piping hot and the service was good. We have eaten at all the local pubs in the area and the Brunswick is by far the best at the moment. I know I have said it earlier, but the hand cut chips were fantastic and very tasty. Yes, the pub has had a number of new owners over the past few years, however the new owners are trying very hard to build a community spirited pub with good food. Don't go if you want a fine dining experience but do go if you want good hearty food that is value for money and very enjoyable.

This pub has changed hands to people who don't know how to run a pub you have a man behind the bar who wears the same clothes all the time not a good impression upon arrival I was served by a female who you could smell alcohol on very strong you could tell she had been drinking on shift and was wearing a dress that showed everything not professional stayed late for a drink just because it was the last place open round by me and saw people sniffing cocaine openly of the table horrible place to be now used to love this pub will never go back again

This pub has changed hands so many times, this latest time we thought we would give it a try. We arrived at six thirty to enjoy the advertised twelve til nine carvery. You would expect at around five pm some new carvery joints to be put out... But it was actually the dried out original joints covered in kitchen foil. So we asked if they were still doing the carvery expecting a "no sorry" answer, but actually said yes! Brown veggies and dry crusty meat both from lunchtime.... Yum... I wonder if we stayed to eat! No we did not, and we will not bother again. This pub needs to give up trying to ever do food and stick to alcohol unfortunately.... Disappointing.

We booked tickets for New Years eve for all the family. We arrived on the day to find it had all been cancelled. We did get refunds on the ticket but the dancing we had promised the kids did not happen and the buffet too. We had not eaten because we had paid for the buffet so again the kids were hungry. My son ordered a lager and there were bits floating in it. We left after an hour because the whole atmosphere was poor and we were all hungry. Pizza and drinks at the daughters instead. A big let down all round and I feel for the poor guy working there left to tell us it was all cancelled. We were told it was cancelled because the du was ill but have since found they didn't sell enough tickets so just didn't bother to go ahead with it. It's not a first let down with this venue but it is our last because we won't be returning again.

We visited the Brunswick on Friday evening and walking in first impressions were great. Decor is very nice. It was very quiet with only one table occupied but we ordered a drink, fairly priced and a nice pint. The menu was good and we ordered our meals. You fetch your own cutlery and sauces which was fine although there was no vinegar which we had to ask for and no lettuce was available for the salad. When the meals came out we were impressed. Nicely presented and both with homemade chips. The Brunswick burger I had was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone but the other meal we had was not so good having next to no sauce and very dry chicken. All in all the Brunswick has the potential to be a great place to eat but the little details let it down. Having said that I would return in the future for another Brunswick burger.

Having been past quite a few times we decided to stop and grab some lunch. The pub has a good sized car park and a garden with a few tables to sit at. The pub is separated into two areas something like a public and lounge bar set up. The menu has the usual pub type options all reasonably priced. The food we had was of a good quality and portion, the staff seemed friendly and helpful. No real ale was a disappointment but not the end of the world. Would stop by again if in the area, a good value pub.

Nice pub , nice staff but food a little expensive for what you get. Better places out there for the money you pay .nice beer garden aswell .

Myself, husband and three children enjoyed a lovely evening out for my birthday. The food was lovely and the service was brilliant, It was a lovely atmosphere. The children played in the garden. The pub has been refurbished to an high standard and we will deffinately be returning in the near future 😀

I come to the brunswick once a week. The food is amazing never had a bad experience here. Always a good atmosphere here. Recently went to the bonfire the garden was packed with a bbq hut in the corner really nice night love it here!!

The brunswick pub is a very good place for families to eat these plenty of choice off the menu.Also very good value for money when taking the kids i would recommend this to a lot of people and the team are very warm welcoming .

Have been here for a number of meals now, and the food is out of this world. Last occasion was for a family birthday and the service we received was great. A starter of Haddock and spring onion fish cakes, followed by sea bream on crushed potatoes and a selection of seasonal vegetables was delicious. Some in our party had the sirloin steak with homemade chips which I tried and thought they were fab. All in all we had a great night.I have been here a number of times, and each time the service has been very good, the staff are very attentive and always ready to serve you and cannot do enough for you. If you want something different, they will accommodate. I read the review of Jay F and I have to say this doesn't sound like the place I or my family have visited and I have never ever, seen anyone smoking indoors at all. It's not allowed is it!It certainly won't be the last time we go there. In fact we've booked for January already.

Not sure what the other review is talking about, I am a regular at this lovely establishment and the food every time I have food here it is to a high standard and excellent value for money. Make sure you try this place because once you come in you will keep visiting again and again.

Went in to this over priced pub for a light lunch. I had been waiting a long time when a mixed race girl came in and asked if we were waiting, she quickly threw down her bag and came and served us. She was so friendly even after her colleague came round and was extremely rude to her, the girl made a joke of it. We then selected the brunswick bruger from the menu which was vile! The burger was burnt and it was cold in the middle but don't get me started on the soggy chips. A few days later we decided to give it another try to our dismay the young friendly one-man army was not working. Instead we were served by the girl that had left us standing last time. She spent more time propping up the end of the bar and smoking. This time we ordered jacket potatoes and a club sandwich. The food was even more appauling than last time. But then again the chef did spend most of his time sat on a bar stool with an older lady. Unlike the last visit this time we took our two young boys and decided that the chef kissing an older lady in full view of customers was just not something we desired for them to see.
