I had cod and fish and it tasted amazing. the service was as amazing as the food! the staff were attentive and helpful

Very nice but tight on the chips

This chipshop is now called G's and we went in and had a large fish and chips. Despite it being 30% off at the moment the price was high. However the portion was very small (I even joked about it being 30% off the size portion). Would not go back to this place. I am aware from what they said they have only been there 3 weeks. People may try them once but if they have the size portion we had they may not return. Staff were very friendly but I still want a decent size portion. The pictures shown was about £6 portion. I have had larger minifish from some places.

Food was amazing! Service was quick! Food was hot! Not a single fault!! Highly recommend ordering from them!!

Given these guys so many chances. Food arrived stone cold and without sauces, despite double checking the sauces on the phone again. Had so many issues over the past few months. Annoying thing is the response when you ring up to try and sort it out - no I am not lying!! The order was redone but this has happened too many times now. Shame as it was great before it changed hands.

I wish the new management can leave they dont know how to make anything the fish was not cooked I can taste the raw batter please leave and bring the old owners back

Placed a telephone order waited 1.5hrs, for food to be delivered, rang the shop many times, constantly engaged, then the shop cancelled the order........Unbelievable....

This chip shop used to be the go to, but it's has drastically gone downhill very quickly. Food was always hot and on time (if not early!) but in the last 3 weeks I've ordered here, food has been stone cold, late and not just by a couple minutes, often its over half an hour or longer, but to make it even worse several items have been completely missed off the order! If I could give zero stars I would, utterly disappointed as this used to be our favourite place to go, but now it's so incredibly bad, they've lost our custom forever. Great job gorse farm👍

Sadly under new management who have no clue on how to run a chip shop. Food is no longer fresh and portions are smaller and not cooked properly, chips brown and greasy and everything else burnt. Bring back the old owners!

¡La propiedad ha cambiado y la comida es terrible! Me cobraron 1. 50 para la entrega - vivo 0. 2 millas de la tienda. Tuve que esperar una hora para que llegara la comida y cuando lo hizo fue impactante. La imagen de abajo es mi pescado grande, estaba seco más allá de lo creíble, no pude comerlo, la imagen de la carne del kebab es una carne pequeña y papas fritas que estaba seca y sobras claramente que nos sirvieron comida del día anterior. Los nuggets de pollo de mis hijas también se secaron. Las patatas fritas no estaban tan mal, así que nos las comimos, ¡pero desafortunadamente todos tenemos problemas estomacales hoy! Definitivamente NO volveré a usar este lugar.

One item never turned up and the portion sizes were a joke. I phoned up to inform them and they saidbeverything was sent out. Insinuating that your customer is a liar is never a good look. All the food was cold. The donner meats were dry and over cooked. They're under new management. We never had an issue in the years we ordered from there previously. They also refuse to answer the phone when I call up for an update. Very unprofessional.

After ordering for our family of 6 people, one meal was completely absent (a mixed kebab meat burger) and one of the meals only contained three slices of lamb kebab. When we called up they refused to send out the missing meal and would "look at the cctv to prove it was sent out" and said the three slices of lamb were a generous portion....terrible customer service, people were rude on the phone

Had a delivery food disgusting chicken nuggets burnt and soggy chips undercooked 1 of plastic boxes melted and burnt. Looks like food had been warmed up in microwave no drinks and no chicken meat received when phoning them just got verbal abuse deffo won’t be using them again

Si no hubiera tenido tanta hambre, no lo habría comido. Tan simple como. ASÍ QUE NO COMPRES AQUÍ. QUE NO VALE LA PENA.Una nota sobre el servicio:Este lugar es un desastre. Probablemente por el cambio de propietario porque la comida y el servicio fueron impecables la última vez que pedimos. Después de comer nos llamaron y dijeron "Tenemos su comida" y nos dijeron un número de casa que no era nuestro. Es un desastre.TLDR: La comida es asquerosa y sin sabor. Pedí algunas cosas de este chippy ya que la familia terminó, así que pedí 6 comidas. ¿Dónde empiezo? Más frío que mi nevera en un mal día. El pescado parecía haber sido maltratado en el piso de la tienda, el kebab se parecía al garra de mi perro. El pastel que pedimos originalmente antes de tener una llamada telefónica para decirles que no lo tienen (así que cambiamos demasiado bistec y riñón) sabía a goma que podría tirarlo y rebotaría. Las patatas fritas ni siquiera eran comestibles. Sin olvidar la ensalada y la salsa que pedimos no se veía por ningún lado, ¡que era lo mismo que la salchicha rebozada! ! Llamé para quejarme y el hombre que respondió fue muy grosero. No creía que las comidas estuvieran frías, insistí en que estaban ocupadas y que toda la comida salía caliente, NO recomiendo esta tienda de mierda, quiero decir, tienda de patatas fritas, lo siento. Todo un desperdicio de 30 en la papelera. . ¡Deberían avergonzarse de ustedes mismos! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Food is a pretty bad standard, masala fish is under flavoured, naan can't be classed as a naan more like a roti , chips were old and a lot of little crispy bits not actual chips had to siv through to find a proper chip. The main guy who works there is really rude to his employees, he shouts and swears at them constantly in front of customers it leaves a bad impression to customers so yeah fix up mate. Will not be going again. I only came here because I didn't want to drive further out but now I know it's more worth doing that

Food is amazing here love the curries and mixed grill

Was driving past and had the need for food so thought I'd give it a try. The food was some of the best I've ever tasted. The mixed kebab consisted of thinly sliced donor and soft succulent chicken. I also noticed they used a different oil to other chip shops which apparently doesn't contain toxins when heated a high temperature (the name escapes me), probably why their chips were so nice. They have a very large menu which includes pizza. Will definitely be going there again and again to work my way through the menu.

Ordered for delivery and 1 item was wrong, was sent replacement in under 10 minutes. Value for money and great food, I would highly recommend the fishcakes :-)

Llegó el sábado a las 5 de la tarde con mi compañero para un té para llevar, fuimos los primeros en pedir 2 pequeños pinchos una pita chips grandes y curry salsa. . Este tomó 20 minutos o así sin comunicación con cuando nuestra comida sería hecho o por qué la demora. La comida estaba bien, pero las patatas fritas también parecía demasiado claro (se necesitan más tiempo en la freidora a marrón)

Hemos estado en esta "fish and chips" unas 5 veces y el servicio es muy lento y él está haciendo excusas cuando usted pide algo del menú. Es el único "fish and chips" a estados unidos, para llamarlo con su pedido por adelantado cuando la única persona en la cola y todavía estamos esperando. Para este chippy el microondas es su amigo con pasteles secos y sobras gomosos. Las patatas fritas son realmente ebt agradable lástima el resto de la comida

Un servicio fantástico de comida ... nuevo propietario realmente hace todo lo posible por asegurarse de que la comida es servida por gusto.El menú es mucho mejor y completamente delicioso cada vez comida fresca.La barbacoa que no es mejor que aquellos que comimos en la calle en especias.Siendo Indian que son siempre muy exigente si nos pide de aire libre porque nos encanta casa comidas cocinadas frescas ... no puedo encontrar un fallo aquí.Cualquier pedido de £10 hacen entrega de casa ... a menos de 20 minutos de orden ... muy práctico.Voy a decirles que me dejó un comentario estoy seguro de que le dan una broma, libre de curry.

It's recently undergone a change in management, the new owner is very friendly and has transformed the quality of the food. Fish and chips are some of the best around locally. The homemade Chicken curry is also great!

After going through a few different owners our local chippy is at last doing the best chips around. None of that nasty battered rubbish 😝 Top guy running it too, always got a smile and s chat. Top marks all round 👍🏻

Mine and my families favourite chip shop in the area. Always quality food and large portions. The battered chips are lovely and the staff are friendly :)

So friendly, freshly fried fish and golden battered chips, They even gave us a taster of the chips while we were waiting. Four of our family only wanted small portions, not a problem and wow No scrimping on size. No scrimping on quality Great show.
