Brunch in Dover

Such a friendly restaurant, i had The Mediterranean Salad which was delicious with the olives and feta cheese. Chef and owner made us so welcome, always eat here when we visit Dover.

Staff sitting around as we came in. There was only one person inside. The interior looked really nice. We found our seat and then went up to the till to order (maybe a bit of table service wouldn’t have gone a miss). The food arrived and I asked for salt/pepper. The waiter went to the area and pointed to where I was but didn’t hand it to me, which I found odd. The food was ok. Could have done with some seasoning, but ok for what I paid. It’s a shame as this place could be a real gem but I won’t be returning any time soon.

We stopped there for a quick lunch after having visited Dover Castle. The food is great and not expensive (I had a mozzarella and tomato panini, and my friends a pasta salad). I really liked the coffee and walnut cake. I warmly recommend this place.

For £9.50 I would expect a good breakfast. This was terribly. Cheap back cheap sausages and awful taste. Get your act together. My advice to anyone in town is avoid. For the same money Wellingtons opposite the town hall is so so much better qith amazing fresh produce.

Nice place for brunch. Lovely vegan breakfast no vegan spread but all of the food was scrumptious. Would have given 5 stars but one of the toilets was out of order and a light in the seating area was flickering.

Really love the food here, we come for breakfast quite regularly 😊 I’d say they do the nicest breakfast in Dover. The ingredients are high quality, love the bacon especially! Staff are friendly and would highly recommend it, just wish they would open later in the day as we usually work late and are not up in time to make it.

ALWAYS GREAT! 🤩 I visit brunch somewhat often since moving to Dover. Always have a great breakfast! Friendly staff, especially the owner (I think it's the owner) and the chef 😎 although it's a cafe type place, it isn't your usual greasy breakfast. It's quality ingredients cooked extremely well and always presented nicely. Will continue to go back ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Visited for lunch, nice coffee and helpful staff. Very lukewarm and watery omelette. Sent it back once. Came back only lukewarm again. Boyfriend had Steady breakfast, cheap sausages and bacon. Nice server but definitely won't be back. Waste of money.

We stopped at Brunch this lunchtime for a quick bite to eat before catching the ferry. Service was fantastic, the staff made me feel like I'd been going there for years. Lovely food and great cup of coffee. Thank you.

We used this cafe quite a lot but the although the new owner is nice and helpful we are a bit disappointed. The bacon and sausages are not very nice anymore, they don’t taste like good old English bacon and sausage.

Have not been here since before the pandemic started in 2020 and hadn't realised they had reopened for business until I walked by last week. Therefore this week, we decided that we would visit for lunch. A warm friendly greeting awaited us as we entered. The food was cooked perfectly and the whole area was nice and clean. Really pleased to be able to enjoy this business again.

Had lunch with my wife, both had salmon pasta. It was superb. Also had biscuits milkshake ,refreshing and tasty. Will return to try other menu options.

Had brunch here recently. Good coffee. Toasted sandwich was okay. Have had worse but had much better. Standard cut bread to make a toasted sandwich nowadays means you get a pretty average sandwich. If it was inexpensive then maybe more forgivable. However the pros include nice service and atmosphere and interesting photos on the walls and interesting wallpaper made of old Dover newspapers. I’d probably go again expecting basic cafe food albeit a little overpriced.

Came here with my mum for a little lunch out and the food was stunning. We can really recommend the salmon pasta and the paninis. Everything bought to table promptly and staff obeying the distancing rules with masks and everything. Really can't state how lovely the staff are and how lovely the atmosphere is. Definitely worth a visit!

been there few times and so happy with the service .food is great drinks are too,glad i went there and will go back to try some more tasty food and drinks as much as i can .

I’ve been with my wife and daughter today to Brunch and we had delicious chicken tacos, they were awesome and I would highly recommend them. The staff were very attentive and welcoming, Brunch is a very cosy place. Thank you for the lovely welcome and service.

This used to be a lovely little cafe with nice food and friendly service, so although it had changed hands we thought we would give it go. We ordered a breakfast, a ham and cheese pannini and a cheese and mushroom pannini from the surly waitress with 3 drinks. We were told it was a 35 minute wait even though there were only 4 tables occupied with 2 already with food. However, we thought we would wait. Our drinks arrived quite quickly but it was nearer 45 minutes before the breakfast arrived, with, the panninis to follow shortly we were told. To say the breakfast was small is an understatement, the smallest pieces of bacon?? and potato waffles I've ever seen and the egg was so undercooked we had to return it. "What's wrong with it", the waitress said, when you could clearly see the yolk and half the white was still clear. Anyway, it was returned to us with the egg just flipped over and now overcooked. Eventually, the panninis arrived, the cheese and ham was just about edible but the cheese barely cooked and the cheese and mushroom one was sent back for a refund. The mushrooms felt and tasted like they had been taken out of the fridge and added as an afterthought. I will say though, that they are obviously used to people asking for a refund as there was no quibble with that. I will not be returning to this cafe and I respectfully suggest unless things improve dramatically, that no one else does. You've been warned!!

Went in for a breakfast and order a full English, I can not describe the taste of what was served. What was on the menu as bacon was nothing like bacon. I asked the very nice member of staff what I'd attempted to eat and was told it was a turkey/ham rasher. Although the cafe was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly I was extremely disappointed with the food

I’ve been to Brunch twice in the past but this time it looks amazing, they made it look like a real coffeeshop! The new look is awesome, the food was amazing and the service was excellent and fast! I would highly recommend this place! Oh by the way, their coffee is delicious and incomparable to the main high street chains.

I used to eat here regularly but they've now changed management and it's terrible. We had to wait 20 mins for two breakfasts even though there were only people at two other tables. The food was mediocre and it was another 20 mins before they brought our toast by which point we'd finished the breakfasts and were queuing for a refund.

Have been for breakfast many times here and it has been hit and miss, but today the poor staff looked stressed because of the new changes not properly been worked out, the food came out barely warm and the scrambled egg was still raw! And was missing items from our breakfast,

As a local resident I, with friends and family, have visited this cafe on many occasions and it used to exceed our expectations. The staff were always helpful and nice and the food and drink was great in terms of price and quality. However starting from the last year or so there has been a dramatic change in food quality and prices. The food has really reduced in quality with certain items using lower quality ingredients but increasing in price. For example I ordered a ham salad sandwich recently and before the change you would get a nice bit of ham in the sandwich and the salad would have tomatoes and a good piece of lettuce, however the ham is now very cheap and fatty and the salad consists of horrible iceberg lettuce. Really gone down hill.

Had a bad experience with undercooked Bacon and eggs that were snotty on top side and burnt on the other side.. Said to the waiter the bacon will need to go back as is undercooked to which he just walked away.Door step bread is just sliced loaf not even thick sliced.Drinks are over priced too.Gave this place a chance but was left dissapointed.

Brunch is the perfect place to stop in Dover. We were treated very well by the staff and the food is best in town. Kids friendly as well. Even though they get lots of customers there was ample seating.

We popped in for lunch and had the vegan burger and chips .. it was really really good! The waitress asked lots of questions to make sure our needs were met.. very impressed with the service and standard of food... as vegan/vegetarian diners it’s a nice surprise to find such a variety of choices... we’ll definitely eat there again

Decided I'd go for lunch today asked for the veggie menu told by surly young waiter all vegan/vegetarian options on menu I think and walked away. Walked out in disgus the website shows a much larger selection won't be going back again

Very poor sausages and two broken eggs on my breakfast, why the eggs were not shown to the bin is beyond me. The rest was ok. Bit pricey for a breakfast as the coffee was extra.

Popped in for a late breakfast/early lunch. Bigger than it looks from the front with lots of space between tables. Counter staff and waiting staff very friendly and polite. They seem to enjoy their work. Food perfectly cooked, tasty and great value- £3.30 for a proper cooked breakfast! Would definitely recommend.

Love the vegan breakfast here, nothing fancy just nice hearty food. Enjoy it every time I come and carry on returning :)

This is a pleasant little eatery situated in the Dover town centre. It sells good quality food in a pleasant environment. Dogs are allowed in the front part of the restaurant.

We went to Brunch a couple times with family and friends. Everyone was happy and satisfied. Good prices, good food, good atmosphere. Great coffee.

Went for a snack and the stench of chip fat was horrible to the point that it made your eyes water.Could smell it on my clothes for the rest of the day,its a real health hazard and the managment really need to get it sorted.I,ve never been in any cafe that smelt this bad and i,m not a fussy type. i m not exaggerating in any way.The interior of the cafe is quite pleasent,food is average,nothing special.

Had a great all day vegan breakfast with my family. Staff were friendly and the food was good for a great price, one breakfast was forgotten but they bought it out straight away with a free coffee to make up for it. Great service, food and value.

Excellent service, great food, wonderful staff, authentic atmosphere. With only one day available to spend in Dover, and desiring a full British breakfast even though it was already past 2pm, this place was the ideal choice. Good coffee. The milkshake was also very good.

Went to the Brunch a couple times. Had an all day breakfast one day that was great and the steak stew in a Yorkshire pudding bowl for lunch a couple days later which was so good. The milkshakes were fantastic as well. Good variety on the menu. We liked the atmosphere as it didn't feel too busy or rushed. All dishes at our table arrived together and hot. We'll definitely be back before leaving Dover.

We always used to pop in for breakfast or a snack when in town. Sadly the last few times we have been in standards have dropped a lot. There are often multiple tables left stacked with dirty plates and unwiped despite there being 4 staff working and it being quiet. Service is also slow these days. A real shame as we used to love coming here but alas it may be time to wander on down the road and find a new spot.

We have been here before, but now the food and atmosphere has completely changed....so much better under new owners.

Had 3 meals all really hot and tasty, the service was very good and location was excellentThere is a vast menu from sandwiches, breakfasts and dinners. Excellent portions and the locals appear to use the premises which is always a good sign. Disabled loos good also.

I am a regular visitor to Brunch and find the food consistently tasty and at a reasonable price. Great English staples like fish & chips, fry ups etc. Highly recommended.

I visited this restaurant with a friend and was impressed with the vegetarian options and value. The staff was attentive and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was nice.

My wife and I took my daughter into Brunch last Sunday. We all ordered different versions of their all-day breakfasts and all of them were excellent! The staff were attentive and careful with our order, even giving us a choice of sides, and the food arrived within a few minutes. Everything was cooked to perfection, especially the sausages which hit the spot!!! The plates were gently warmed too, to stop everything going cold as is so often the case in other restaurants, and the drinks were wonderful. I also liked the atmosphere...very relaxed, smelt very clean and looked well-kept too.

Avoid at all costs, service was really slow, big waiting time for food even though they really wasn’t busy. The staff didn’t seem to understand simple requests, they ran out of roast potatoes. My food just tasted really bland and rubbish, waste of money.

Kom aan met de veerboot, eet hier een supervet full English breakfast en je hoeft de rest van je vakantie in Engeland niet meer zo'n ontbijt. Zo'n worstje waarvan je denkt: is daar wel vlees aan te pas gekomen, vette gefrituurde toast, bacon, bonen in tomatensaus, etc. Midden in Dover, erg authentiek, kan erg druk zijn rond lunchtijd. Achterin de zaak is de luchtkwaliteit beter dan voorin bij het raam maar daar kan je dan wel weer alle authentieke langslopende Engelsen bewonderen.

Highly recommended for a stop on yr way to the ferry terminal. Staff shortage but charmingly handled and we didn’t have to wait long. Support this place as it’s next to Costa and Costa can get lost!

This is a great find. Lots of choice , excellent service at the counter. I had a delicious sausage sandwich and a lovely coffee. Lovely comfortable seats and a great picture of Dover from yesteryear on a wall. We shall return.

We took a chance and popped in here for breakfast. Ordering and payment was easy and the food arrived quite quickly. We both had a cooked breakfast of different sizes. All of the food was hot and well cooked. The hot drinks arrived after the food but were still hot. The only feedback we have is that for the biggest breakfast on the menu, a bigger plate would be nice, but that was the only fault we could find.

Visited here last weekend for the first time and had a very enjoyable experience. Found the food to be excellent and reasonably priced with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The decor is tastefully done with a nice spacious feel to the place. Will certainly be returning and recommending to friends and family. Always prefer to support local businesses so even if just stopping for a coffee I'd choose 'Brunch' over one of the commercial chains such as Costa.

It was really good. The food was delicious and the service excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They gave us some great advice on sightseeing in Dover. The prices are really fair. We enjoyed our meal a lot and I definitely can recommend this place.

A few days ago, I took my family into Brunch for a nice lunch. As soon as we walked in, my family and I were hit with a horrible grease smell. The place reeks of chip fat. Although we decided to be optimistic and stay for a meal, and I tried to order my favourite, beloved dish - jacket potato. To my complete surprise, the waitress told me that jacket potato had been taken off the menu, and that I had to settle with another meal instead. Surely if you run a food business, it’s in your best interest to keep your food stocked up and allow customers to order anything that is on the menu, otherwise it is just false advertisement. I am very disappointed with Brunch, and expected much better from the cafe. I will definitely not be returning unless the standard of the restaurant and food supply does a quick U-turn.

We visited your little cafe on Saturday 10th March with our family intending to have an enjoyable lunch.

I had the pleasure of lunching at Brunch... From the start, the customer service was faultless. I was greeted by a hearty hello and instantly felt welcomed. The range of food was plentiful; you are spoilt for choice. Being something a burger aficionado, I eventually opted for the Rodeo Burger. My lunch was served speedily by friendly and efficient staff. The food was hot, well presented and tasted sublime. I found the pricing to be very good value. I can also recommend the coffee. I had a Latte. It was served the way I like it with just the right amount of froth. I will definitely be returning.

What a lovely place to eat omg food is always cooked so well two Sunday in a fun we had brunch here always walk away so full such a lovely atmosphere here well worth visit

Nice enough cafe, been there a couple of times and food is fine but unfortunately there is an awful smell of old oil/fat/grease that fills the whole cafe. I had to go out to move my car and when I got in my car I could really smell the stench on my clothes, and then noticed the smell even more when I went back into the cafe. When I got home I changed my whole outfit however as I’m writing this I can still smell grease as the smell had even absorbed into my hair :( They really need to address this because it ruined a quite nice lunch with friends.

Very good food for the very good price! Staff is seriously amazing! They are all very nice, smilling and make sure that you have everything that you need :)

After a few recommendations from friends we decided to as a family to eat here. What a mistake we made. Firstly from the moment we arrived we not greeted. After ordering the food, it arrived under cooked and cold, baring in mind I had two young kids eat with us.

A great place to go for a bite to eat or even a hot drink. The staff are extremely helpful and eager to assist in you selection. The venue is very cosy and comfortable. Food and drink is competitively priced and offers great value for money.

went to the brunch had a lovely burger chips and salad.also the milkshakes are soooo good. had to wait a while as they were very busy . over all very good . I have written this because there were a couple of rude people in front of me as there café in pencester was closed till after xmas . I would have told them to not bother coming in again but the staff didn't say anything to them . would recommend the brunch again

I've been in here for a fry up before and it was lovely although a long wait. I came back in this month to get food and drink to take away. I got to the till and there were 2 young males facing towards me but had their heads down folding napkins and chatting. A few members of staff were walking around behind the counter and kept glancing up at me. 5 minutes later one of them asked if I was waiting.. clearly I was. I asked for a panini to go and the male sighed and asked if there was any in the fridge which there wasn't. He then told me there would be a 20 minute wait.. if you're getting food to go and just a sandwich you don't expect to have to wait that long. I said not to bother and took my custom elsewhere.

Great choice of food and drinks, Always great food, staff can be a little miserable at times and the waiter always passes hot drinks over babies/young children which is rather scary, their milkshakes are the best especially the Oreo one!!!!

I brought a colleague as I enjoyed my first visit. Well, I won't be back. One panini in the chiller was moldy. When our food came out, I had to request a second set of cutlery. I also asked for mayo and the chips I ordered. The chips and mayo were brought out and I had to ask for cutlery a second time. Seconds later, a server came and took the chips off our table and the mayo and said, these are for that table.

We popped in as we were passing this cafe. The decor and atmosphere was very nice, it had a coffee shop vibe but the menu had a good variety of foods that you would expect of a traditional cafe. We ordered a full English, a ham & cheese toastie, a scone, a milkshake and a cappuccino. The meals were presented beautifully and tasted amazing. The milkshake was made with ice cream and real strawberries! It was divine.Along with this the staff were lovely and welcoming and the prices more than reasonable. We would definately return! Highly recommended.

Clearly they need more staff it's a bit hit and miss with service. I was served ham eggs and chips and my eggs were cold.... the rest of the time I just stop in for a coffee but after the cold food fiasco I will think twice

Service very slow on Friday 24th March. They clearly need more staff but food good and hospitable . Definitely come again. Only niggle was big group of very loud family that made it hard to hear each other. They were really quite annoying. The restaurant has no windows internally so you are forced to listen to the echoes of said family.

After a evening of enjoying the hospitality of the Prince Albert pub and a lay in Saturday morning we walked around Dover town centre and popped into the Brunch cafe. We both ordered a breakfast each the plates were hot and the sausages bacon hash browns egg beans and tomatoes were hot and freshly cooked with toast and tea ☕ a refreshing and filling experience.

How good it is to sit and enjoy a Snack with a decent Cup of Coffee somewhere other than a chain. Food cooked 'in house' is generally good to eat and that certainly applies here.Just enjoy it!!
