We were looking for somewhere for a quick coffee before arriving at the nearby Le Manoir. What a perfect little find in a quintessential English village, and most definitely unexpected. All looks fairly new. It’s a modern design with a modern take on their food. Staff all exceptional as was coffee. We had a couple of small snacks, which were both delightful (particularly the scotch egg).

I popped into Bruin's while I waited for my tires to be fixed, and I'm really glad I did. The team was super-friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. I had a latte and a pastry, both were excellent. The highlight was a fresh scotch egg, which was the nicest scotch egg I've ever had. I thoroughly recommend Bruin's to anyone, it's just a shame this isn't my local cafe.

A quick snack stop for work and me and my colleagues were absolutely blown away by the service and quality of food at Bruin café. It seemed to be a one-man show and service was still speedy and so polite. I ordered the new York deli sandwich and it was incredible. The bread was really high quality and it was nice and toasty. If I'm working in the area again, I will definitely stop by again.

Oooo, this little cafe is so good. We found them on TripAdvisor and they didn't disappoint. The Scotch eggs are absolutely the best we've ever eaten, lovely crunchy outer and runny yolk, delicious! Fab coffee and lovely cakes. Fortunately the weather was good, and we were able to eat outside as there isn't any inside seating, but that is the only downside. Quite honestly we would have eaten their delicious offerings in the car if we'd had to :-) The guys who run it are lovely too, relaxed and friendly. Perfect

Excellent tasty sandwiches, coffee and cakes all made fresh. Large portion sizes, a sandwich usually gives me two lunches! A Bruins sandwich is now my regular Friday treat. We also had their takeaway Mexican platters last Friday night which were also excellent. Staff are lovely and obviously enjoy what they do.

I keep meaning to write a review for this lovely place because every time I visit I want to go straight back and try the things I didn’t get to choose to eat but I’d need a bigger stomach! Scotch eggs to die for, coffee never disappoints and I want all the cake recipes. Thank you Bruins for brightening my day.

Really wonderful place, the coffee is absolutely next level. Made with real care for the process. I had a New York Deli toasted sandwich on sough dough and it was really good. Great ingredients and served with a smile by a friendly face. Would highly recommend and will be back very soon.

One of the best things about moving to Wheatley has been Bruin! It's a fantastic little café with really friendly staff, flavoursome coffee, fantastic savoury food, and enticing sweet treats! Especially for those with a sweet tooth, the homemade cinnamon buns are a must: just make sure you get there before they go! And, if this special is available, their Pecan Mess is beyond words!

Out on the bike we needed a coffee and stumbled on Bruins when our usual cafe was closed. A lucky find and one we will be revisiting. Really good coffee, so good we had another, and a cake.

Small, friendly and welcoming cafe with amazing food! It’s clear that the owner cares deeply about the quality of the food and drinks he serves and the cafe has a lovely warm and welcoming atmosphere. The coffee is a must buy! It’s so good! The food was delicious and with two young kids in tow the pulled pork bagel, the triple cheese bagel and sausage rolls was devoured in silence (Always a good sign) and given the thumbs up by two of the world’s harshest food critics! We also had cakes: - and were glad we did! The hot cinnamon rolls with topping and chocolate brownies were out of this world! We will be back!!

We came to do a charity walk and stayed in the family room. It was comfortable and a good size for 4 of us. We also enjoyed the breakfast and the staff were very friendly. Only downside was that there were quite a few flies in our room and a maggot in the shower. We did inform staff so I am sure it will be sorted.

Halal Cafe located in Didcot, family friendly environment with an excellent menu for adults & children. Excellent & respectful staff. Had a few items to share with family the double smash burgers, lahori lamb chops, peri wings & skin on fries were really delicious. Will definitely visit again when in or passing through Didcot.

I came in almost accidentally. I had a really bad experience with some hotel food that i decided I really needed a burger to satisfy my hunger, really not expecting to have the best burger I think i have ever had in England. I do not say this lightly as i travel lots and eat lots of food all over! Great quality smash burgers made to order which can be customised! I didn't get to catch the guys name, but he was clearly very passionate about food and told me a little of his background involving the butcher trade!

Went there to celebrate our daughter's birthday. The Crown were very good in that we were slightly late due to heavy traffic. The choice of food was very good and there was a quality menu available for children. Following placing our orders there was a little bit of time to wait as everything was freshly cooked to order. The plates were filled with appetising food. A thoroughly enjoyable meal which everyone including the youngsters are. Plates were cleared. The gammon was fabulous as was the pie dish - there was a choice of three pie dishes. The halloumi burger was also thoroughly enjoyed by the Birthday girl. Service was friendly, attentive and polite. The explanation of the types of house menu pie options was very thorough.
