Good staff but horrible hygiene: The staff are brilliant, very friendly and helpful. They provide swift service however the hygiene is appalling and this is not the staffs fault but management. I complained regarding this many times and despite the staff mentioning it to management, this has not been listened to. There are a lot of drain flies which suggest that there is “still water” within the cafe. It’s got to a point where the flies are coming in contact with customers in which they land on food and even come towards you which makes you feel disgusted. This is something that’s easily solvable however it seems like management either do a half hearted solution or temporary solution. It’s caused me and other customers I know to significantly reduce my visits.

Had such a lovely experience at this cafe and the Bru team were so lovely and attentive. Delicious coffee too, definitely would recommend !!!

Visited Bru Coffee after dinner and had a delightful experience! I tried the Dubai Chocolate Brownie and paired it with a refreshing mint tea—both were absolutely delicious. The staff at Brü were lovely and I absolutely adored the hot Dubai chocolate brownie! The pistachio kunafa flavor was exceptional, with perfectly chosen toppings that made it even more delightful. For £8.75 it’s worth it.

One of the staff in Bru today, 29th of Nov 2024 at 3pm was disgraceful. Standing in the serving area, swearing and cursing for everybody to hear, with children sitting close by. Vile person

I went Bru for the first time today and I had such a wonderful experience. I was served by Macy and she made the experience all the more better. She was kind and I felt very welcomed and its one of the better cafe experiences I’ve had in recent times. I will definitely be coming here again.

Bru is a lovely, friendly place to come to on your own, as well as with others. The coffee is really tasty and better value than offerings from chains. Their toasted sandwiches, cakes, waffles and gelato are all really good. And they are open later than other cafes. Macy and the other staff make you feel welcome.

**17/11/24 - 18:40** I encountered a disappointing experience with the service at Bru. The blond server displayed a lack of professionalism when I expressed concerns about my pistachio latte. Having enjoyed this beverage on numerous occasions, I found that the drink I received did not resemble the one depicted in the menu and appeared to be poorly mixed, resulting in an appalling flavor. When I requested a replacement, the server declined, stating, “we can’t change a drink just because you don’t like it,” and exhibited a dismissive attitude. Despite my request, she refused to accommodate, citing concerns about product waste, yet she discarded my drink anyway. The level of customer service I experienced was subpar, and when we ordered new drinks, which we paid for, she took an excessive amount of time to prepare them while engaging in conversation with a coworker. Consequently, we received lukewarm drinks, which we felt compelled to accept to avoid further confrontation with her unprofessional demeanor.

I recently visited and was greeted by Macy, she recommended different types of drinks i could have as i was unsure on what i wanted. Had a lovely experience and my iced white mocha and biscoff cookie dough was delicious made by Macy, will be visiting again

Bru is a very welcoming place, Macy and all the staff are very friendly. I'd especially recommend the cherry mirror slice, and their coffee is a lot better than other places.

Two stars lost on atmosphere, too much smoke/vape, with the door left open so it all blows in, and no one does anything - as this is a repeat let's make that three stars lost; plus one for the fantastic Nutella porridge and seemingly improved on the above, this is hard work btw... Yep, and several steps back again, refusing to maintain a safely smoke and vape free atmosphere even within the establishment makes it a no thanks kind of place, soz and tatah

I’ve been to a lot of cafes but none have treated me as well as bru has. Huge shoutout especially to Macey and Aqsa who have both provided exceptional customer service and that’s partly the reason I keep coming back to bru.

I came here last night and tried the Spanish rose latte, was so pretty and tasted really nice, and for the price as well I’d defo come back for it. I was served by a girl named Aqsa who was very kind and attentive to mine and others needs, I don’t come so often but when I do she always remembers me and greets me with a warm smile which is so nice. Will defo come back again!

Been coming here for years. It’s one of the few places that are open late where it isn’t a bar in the city. Lovely staff members and overall, a really pleasant addition to my day when I fancy coffee.

Just want to start by saying the coffee in bru is amazing I would recommend the pistachio iced latte, Maria and Jenny where absolutely amazing, big smiles on their faces as I walked in, and showed me how to use the bru app in order to collect points. Amazing experience.

Bru has become our regular pop in for drinks, snacks and desserts. Even better now that they are open until 10pm 7 days a week. Staff are friendly and attentive, Myriam, Simran and Uzo . The food is always presented well and are of good portions. We will definitely continue to visit

My visit to brü left much to be desired. The service was terrible and the morning staff were so rude, and the atmosphere felt stale. Overpriced and underwhelming, I won't be returning anytime soon. Not suggesting that place there are loads of better coffee shops around in Leicester

Well, I was a regular customer and I left a one star review before due to horrible staff they had. I left Leicester for a year and I said let me delete the review as might be the staff changed and not fair to keep that review and comment. Here after a year and despite some of the staff changed but still the same service same attitude indicating a management problem more than a staff issue. If I could give zero stars, I would.
