Food, drink and service was brilliant.

We only popped in for a drink and ended up staying for 3 courses! The food, service from Anna and atmosphere were excellent. The Christmas decorations make it feel very cosy.

We had an our first meal at Browns after having the occasional drink over the years, and we were very impressed with the service from Niamh, she was very pleasant, friendly, and professional. We would and have recommended friends to dine at Browns.

Have been coming here with a group of friends same time of year for the last 3 years unfortunately won't be returning, service very poor actually had to call waitress over everytime we needed service, starters were OK apart from 3 of us having the GARLIC prawns, which should be renamed as EXTREMELY hot chilli Prawns as it personally was too hot to enjoy! Mains were OK for some , shepherd's pie was said to be lovely but again 3 of us had the prawn and crab linguin! It was unseasoned and had far too much chilli only prawns and non existent crab!!! And why is it green?I have never had it green!! All 3 of us couldn't eat any of it and so had no main course...we had to finally hunt for a waitress to get the bill to which was done twice as our deposit wasn't taken of the first time round...

Came in for an Irish coffee at a inconvenient time and being in hospitality my myself knowing how annoying it is 😂 was welcomed by Jess and Harry two very friendly bar staff that made me the best Irish coffee and made me want to stay for more cocktails and good times. A great place with brilliant staff special thanks to these two.

We attended for an amazing Afternoon tea. A lovely selection of savoury and sweet foods The only downfall was that we were seated and still no food had arrived after 1 hour of waiting. We had drank 2 cocktails each while waiting and when approached staff was informed the chef was having a meltdown!!!! We finally received our food approx 90 minutes after our arrival.

As always Browns in Liverpool never disappoints, we had coffee, nibbles and cocktails. Thank you Lee and the team, you were, and always are amazing😍...also a shout out to the piano player, who made the atmosphere fab. Browns is definitely our 'go to' when we are in Liverpool xx

I took my mum and sister, and the food was awful. Cold and bland, however, the fish and frozen chips were OK.

Another lovely brunch at Browns Liverpool One. Our waiter, Jason, was superb - so friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent, although the lobster eggs ‘Benedict’ were still not available. This is the third time we’ve tried for them. Perhaps it’s time to take the lobster off the menu? It didn’t spoil our experience though and will return and would highly recommend ⭐️

Our visit to Brown’s in Liverpool was truly delightful! From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the restaurant’s beautiful ambiance and warm atmosphere. The service was top-notch, and our server, Niamh, made us feel right at home with her friendly and attentive care. The food was absolutely delicious—every bite was a treat. We started with the olives, followed by the beet and feta salad, and savored the perfectly cooked cod. Each dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. Brown’s is a gem in Liverpool, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. If you’re in town, make sure to put this one on your must-visit list!

What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Food, drinks and pianist were perfect! But what really made our Sunday afternoon in Browns, was the staff! Gemma couldn’t do enough and was just so accommodating! Nothing was too much trouble! Thank you so much! A credit to the team

Went for Sunday lunch, had roast, waited for 40 mins, beef very poor quality, drinks lovely, very disappointed with food

Really poor experience, I had a burger which looked like it had been mauled, it's like 18 quid so you'd expect it to look half decent. It came out missing bacon, the mayo had been splatted on not spread out, with a single piece of lettuce and tomato. Cheese was melted on half the side of the burger... They brought the bacon out after I complained My wife had crag linguine which was gritty. Thankfully they took 10% off the bill but won't be going back. Service was.slow and the atmosphere was lacking ...

From the moment we were greeted the whole experience was amazing!! Staff are all incredibly helpful and so friendly. The food was lovely and the whole atmosphere of the restaurant was just what we wanted on a Saturday evening 😊 also great vegan options 😀

We were a table of 8 and the food is nothing like it used to be. 2 halves of warmed up potatoes Yorkshire puddings not light and crispy, barely warm. Hamburger just One single one in a bun. Our waiter Gary was excellent but unfortunately the food was not good enough

The classic afternoon tea was quite disappointing. The only drinks you can have are those listed on the menu, which is just tea. My friend doesn't drink hot drinks and we asked if it could be swapped for a soft drink and we were told that wasn't possible, so she had to suffice with tap water and a hot drink that she didn't touch. The menu also states that fruit scones and plain scones are provided. We presumed this meant we each would receive a fruit and plain scone but it was in fact just one fruit scone and one plain scone, so we had to decide who got what out of those. The menu also stated that blackcurrant jam and strawberry jam would be provided but only blackcurrant jam was provided. The menu stated clotted cream would be provided but it was in fact whipped. We had very little service from staff and yet a service charge was included on the bill. When we asked for this to be removed we were asked if everything was okay. We explained our disappointment at the lack of drink choices, items not being provided as written on the menu and items not being accurate. We were simply told 'sorry'. Brown's is a very nice atmospheric venue but the afternoon tea experience was poor and I won't be using Brown's for this experience again unfortunately.

A very comfortable restaurant with friendly staff and good quality food. A bit pricey but worth it for the overall dining experience.

Ate at browns on a Saturday evening at 7pm, we day upstairs and the atmosphere was ok to start with but quickly went quiet until we were almost the only ones there at 8.pm. The service was ok, but I thought the food was over priced. £60 for 2 mains and 2 drinks and quite bland! Very disappointing.

We were served by Natalia in the upstairs area, the food was lovely and our server was very sweet and even sung happy birthday for my friend at the table which I super appreciated! With a cute dessert written out saying happy birthday too ☺️ really really do appreciate this 💗 thank you to the team and also the ladies at reception who got us booked in on short notice

Booked a table 2 weeks ago for our wedding anniversary for tonight looking forward to the surf and turf, and just got a message that they have no steaks left 🤯 so cancelled so disappointed

Lovely last minute choice of somewhere to eat on a very wet stormy night. Lisa served us and from when we sat down to when we left she was very helpful and a credit to the restaurant. Food was delicious, cocktails great (inc the free one we had via the app) and service superb.

Because it was graduation day, there were a lot of guests. The staff tried to be friendly.

Brunch was a disappointment, ordered the vegetarian breakfast with poached eggs but kitchen must have been on an off day as what arrived was two hard boiled lumps. Waitress apologised and went to get couple more eggs, meanwhile rest of breakfast started to go cold. Ten minutes later, wife had finished hers and still no sign of any fresh eggs although table at side of me recieved their food and poached eggs appeared to be the same so clearly someone in kitchen can't poach eggs. Requested bill and left without eating myself. Waiters were great and service was fine. When ordering poached eggs next time will make sure I requested runny ones

Me and my friend had some food here yesterday and sat outside. The place itself was relatively quiet as it was midday Tuesday. The food itself was lovely and the starters and mains came out relatively quickly. We ordered our food at 12:57 and it came around 1:05/1:10pm ish, and we finished around 1:45/1:50pm. Shortly after we finished I went in to let a waitress know we were ready for our dessert. She didn’t come to take our plates once she was told. My friend went in a second time around 2:30pm to let the same waitress know again, and that was when she told someone else, who then came and gave our dessert at 2:40/2:43pm and apologised and took our plates. We told the manager our experience to which he agreed that it was ridiculous in regards to waiting for our dessert but didn’t offer anything off our bill etc. We didn’t necessarily ask due to being nervous as we haven’t done anything of this sort. Instead, we let the manager know of the mistake to improve for next time. Overall, food and dessert was lovely, just disappointed at the service/wait time as it was not a busy day and we felt like we were forgotten outside and wondered where our dessert was.

Hard to fault this venue or the staff. We had our Golden Wedding celebration on the mezzanine at Browns Liverpool. We had 27 guests across a wide range of age's. All guests had three courses and some had coffee or tea to follow. All dishes from starters, mains and desserts arrived at each table exactly on time and the quality of each dish was excellent. The steaks were cooked to perfection, as requested by individual guests. The waiters delivered all drinks to specification in a timely manner. The carbonated drinks (champagne) were poured exactly as requested, in order to keep their distinctive freshness and taste. The staff were exceptional, in both their professionalism and their helpful friendly advice and support. All of our guests made specific compliments about the quality of the staff, the extensive choice of menu and the quality of the food and drink. Well done to all the hardworking staff and in particular to Olivia and Lacey, who continually functioned at a level above expectations!

Love this place, a great place to go in Liverpool. Can't comment on food as haven't eaten at this particular one. It isn't cheap though, however they do serve Guinness which made my husband happy! We sat out in the sun and had a cocktail. Mine wasn't quite right, so they changed it without a fuss at all. Good service (although we had to sit on a dirty table as it was busy and it didn't get cleaned).

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. We always go to Browns when visiting Liverpool. We went twice this time. Jason is so friendly and greets us with a smile every time. They have so many options for dairy free diets and are very accommodating.

Bit grubby. Floor dirty drinks menu sticky could had with replacing. Walls marked.slow sevice.we waited 15 minutes for a drink.

Went for breakfast with friends. Waiter was good. Friends had full English I had smashed avocado with feta cheese on toasted sourdough bread with pea shoots I thoroughly enjoyed and was filling. Loved the decor, toilets were unusual that they were individuals down a corridor men one side and women the other . Recommend

You cannot improve on perfection my husband and I brought along four friends from wales we all enjoyed a fabulous dinning experience we found your service and attention to detail excellent so much so our friends have asked to go back next time they are here

We visited Browns in Liverpool on 16th August to celebrate our 27th Wedding Anniversary. Our waitress Lisa was lovely and very knowledgeable by explaining the menue to us. The food was lovely , my husband had the portobella mushroom burger, which he said was fantastic. I would thoroughly recomend the Prawn and chorizo starter and the haddock as a main. The staff had made us a special dessert to celebrate our Anniversary, which was so nice. Thank you for making our special day better.

Treated my daughter at Browns this evening for her 21st birthday today. Our waitress, Scarlet, made the whole evening ultra special with her kindness, interest and attentiveness. Everything we drank and ate was delicious and very good value. Thank you Scarlet and Browns! 🎉🍾❤️

I was expecting a bit better experience. Kitchen was a bit slow and the food was okay but nothing special.

Brown's restaurant is lovely, the interior is very nice. We arrived around 9pm on a Wednesday, it was quiet. Poppy our waitress was lovely & very helpful. The food was very very good

Cannot fault the service we had from Lee who has excellent customer service skills and added to a very enjoyable evening for our party of 17. Lacey was also key in ensuring our pre booked meals were arranged correctly after providing the menus for us to choose from. She too had excellent customer service skills.

We looked at the menu outside and were amazed. Unfortunately that didn't last very long. When we entered we were told that there would be no service outside. We didn't understand that it was very quiet inside. Nevertheless, we sat down. The card we received wasn't the same as the one posted outside. When we went inside to the bar to order we were told that the dish we wanted was no longer available to order. That was enough for us and we left without ordering anything. Very disappointing.

Our server Tanya made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. We went for afternoon tea which was fantastic but she also made it fun. What a wonderful way to celebrate a 70th birthday. Will def go again and will be sure to ask for Tanya. A truly amazing afternoon

I can honestly say this was the best meal of my life. I didn’t want it to end. Myself and my husband had the surf and turf for two. It was my first time trying lobster. My gosh did I choose the right place. The steak was cooked to perfection, the lobster was amazing 🤩 Lisa who served us was outstanding, nothing was too much trouble for her, she has amazing people skills and has a beautiful personality. The drinks were fantastic! Honestly I don’t think I have had so much enjoyment out of a meal before. Please thank the chef for us. Best date night ever!

Very poor service on the day after the lunch rush. Drinks order forgotten for an hour. One person not asked if they wanted a drink. Steak was overcooked not medium when it arrived. Incorrect drink delivered. Slowly replaced. They did however have the courtesy to recognise the issues, apologise and waived the bill without being asked when we asked to pay.

Worst breakfast ever, granted they had a GF option, that wasn't enough to save it. Tomato not cooked, mushroom over cooked, bacon swimming in a river of grease, 1 slice of toast and a 1/4 cup of butter. The eggs were just cooked , the beans came in the same 1/4 cup as the butter and they were the only things that were hot, everything else was cold, which I was flabbergasted about as it came out so quick !!! My daughter has pancakes and berry yougurt. The pancakes were cold and yet the yogurt compot was warm. Again it came out too quick to be anything other than food lieing around. Wait staff were lovely, didn't ask if we enjoyed the food, they could see the plates, the coffee was lovely and hot. Floor was full of dirty tissues.

Lovely girly day in Liverpool with my Mum and really nice meal and drinks at Brown's. We do visit often and always enjoy it. We did note that the portion sizes are smaller but overall the food was delicious. Our waitress Lisa was friendly, professional and knowledgeable, happy to help and down to earth. Lots going on in the city on Saturday which was nice.

Nice place that takes guests with allergies seriously. Could only order meat due to milk allergy. The meat was unfortunately far too dry and overcooked. Scallops were way too salty. Service was otherwise good.

Food not as good as the Manchester one . Salmon cook well done on the outside but by time got in the middle still raw. Bit disappointed as other branches cook far better

Not great. Service was sloppy, dessert order got lost between the service shifts. A 'rare' steak came out well done and had to be sent back. Shame because the decor and location are great. Wouldn't rush back.

Browns are a good place to meet friends for food and drink, amazing location!

Having spent over 30 years in the customer service sector, I know how hard it can be to deliver exceptional service, but the young lady that served us tonight did just that. The food was good, although my partner thinks the chef needs some guidance from me on the shepherds pie, sorry, but she is bias, and I do make a mean shepherds pie, and the lobster linguine a was spot on. However the food is not the only thing that makes a great evening a fantastic evening. All the staff were rushed off their feet and working hard, but the young lady that served us did this with a smile pretty much consistently, and that’s why I tipped her so highly. To deliver that kind of service, in my opinion, is going above and beyond, and if I was still in the customer service industry, I would be looking to poach her for my own company, definitely went above and beyond in my opinion, and that kind of service deserves recognition.
