Shenanigans Irish Pub in Liverpool

Had an absolute belting pint of Guinness at Shenanigans. £5.10 The open fire was on and people were having breakfasts. I like the attitude of the owners. Entertainment on most nights.

Son started University in Liverpool in September and nipped in for a drink on last visit to see him, his accommodation is literally just round the corner on Hatton Garden. Really good welcome, even for a Manc to Liverpool !! Had a good vibrant feel, top Irish bar, looks a little deceptive when walking in as appears to be compact with the bar and tables really close, but the pub itself is over 2 floors and a roof bar terrace so plenty of seating, bar on first floor too. Lot of Irish memorabilia round the walls and ceiling, plus TVs showing football creating a good atmosphere. The Guinness was good and there was a regular flow of custom, visitors and locals, plus there were a number of students so a mixed age group of people. Good quality Guinness, poured and served perfectly. Have a good selection of food - snacks and main menu.

Best pint of guinness you will get in Liverpool! An incredible pub with an abundance of character, always a warm welcome staff are brilliant and always on hand if you need anything. Food is incredible quality pub food (Irish stew and the cajun halloumi fries are my personal favourites) always entertainment on, great music and all major sports can be watched here. 10/10!!!

A great weeks holiday in Albufeira came to an end, we flew into Liverpool John Lennon Airport and jumped the bus into Liverpool City Centre, a bleak,rainy and cold October night ,a big contrast to the unbroken sunshine and 30 plus degrees Celsius temperatures we had just enjoyed in Albufeira but walking into Shenanigans Irish Pub soon lifted our spirits ,its a pub we always look forward to visiting. A wonderful pub ,set over four floors, a classic Victorian era pub, decor and furnishings are superb, very pubby indeed, so much bric a brac adorning the walls, there's cool looking serving bar's and lots of seating options, it's just a great pub to unwind in. We were greeted with a smile by a very pleasant member of the bar team, we ordered pints of beer from Carling Brewery, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular Irish pub while we sipped our beers. Not my usual tipple, more a real ale and craft beer fan myself but I must say I really enjoyed this lager style beer, a golden, hoppy lager bursting with taste and very easy to drink, it was just so good being in such a lovely Irish pub enjoying a delicious beer and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. We both really enjoyed our beers in here and the great vibe so much so that we ended up staying for another beer each before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Shenanigans Irish Pub we had a great time. Shenanigans Irish Pub is easy to locate along Tithebarn Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Friday, open from 7am. Saturday & Sunday, open from 9.30am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area or planning a trip to Liverpool.

Visited Liverpool and popped into this place we had Sunday dinner and the kids had sausage and chips do you know what it was excellent proper home cooked Sunday dinner I would highly recommend staff where very friendly and helpful five stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Real pub, really friendly - everyone talks to you! Dom and Annie behind the bar were friendly and welcoming and the food and Guinness were great! Regular live music and fab sing-a-long! A dying breed of classic pubs. Would absolutely recommend!

When you are going near the pub, you might think that there are too much people here, and you should just go further. But don't do that. Take a pint of guinness, drink it and take another one. And you will love the place.

One of our silly traditions is to find an Irish Pub in every town we visit. Liverpool was no different. Wandered in for some lunch and a pint. Shenanigans has a very authentic feel. It’s been there since the 1840s. Eclectic decor that only comes with time. It’s nothing like the faux pubs that pop up . Staff was friendly. The Irish Stew was very tasty . There are lots of pubs in the area. This is one worth stopping at.

It might be relatively quite small but it packs a punch on atmosphere and being oh so Quirky. Standing on its own, the Pub has the most amazing wall art on the side gable. The inside is just filled with memorabilia and Irish related stuff. If you like your Guinness then this place has the best pint in Liverpool. They also do an amazing breakfast and there is even a small roof top area should the weather be decent. We found that the bar had some excellent choices and we sampled more than a few!!. Definately a call back with the "lads" next time.

Have to say, this place is spot on. Such a good fit out. The roof terrace is a lovely place to hang out. All floors are all furnished with plenty of space to sit and catch up. The food menu is varied and what's delivered on the plate it's amazing. I'll be popping in especially to try their breakfast. Beautiful Guinness too

Make your way up to the top floor, have a chinwag with the chef, and she might throw you a sausage.

Great pints of Guinness. Well worth a visit

We had ordered food and drinks, and as we were leaving the pub we were confronted by one of the staff asking if we'd left a bad review. We felt as if the staff member was very confrontational and felt uncomfortable at the pub after the interaction. Probably wouldn't come back because of this.

Lovely staff who do their best for their customers, good drinks which are not too pricey and the food is delicious. The bar staff are always able to be pleasant and uplifting the lot of them.

We are students who are here regularly. We ordered food as we usually do, however they charged us £14.50 extra than usual. When we queried they refused to refund us despite the deal for food being 4 for £20. In total we paid £56 (around £34 for the food that is within the deal) with added extras that are not part of the deal. Staff were very rude and passive aggressive about this. I used to love going here but I won’t be returning since being basically scammed.

Top marks for the authenticity of Shenanigans. As far as Irish bars really feel, this was spot on. The Guinness was good and there was a regular flow of regulars, visitors and tourists coming through the bar. Definitely in my Top 10 international Irish bars so far.

My twin brother and I were pub hopping around this part of the city when we decided to drop into Shenanigans Irish Pub, been here many times over the years, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. I love the look of this pub ,housed in an historically important building, the pub is set over four floors ,decor and furnishings throughout is eclectic and interesting and there's lots of seating options spread throughout this pub which has an upstairs outside terrace up top,its just a great pub to unwind in. We were here on a Thursday afternoon, pub was just starting to get busy with a great atmosphere, we ordered a guinness each, these were poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle, we brought our guinness up top to the outside rooftop bar were we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our guinness. Guinness in here is spot on ,thick, creamy, smooth and most importantly iced cold, it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. We really enjoyed our guinness in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Shenanigans Irish Pub we had a great time. I had an afternoon to kill in Liverpool and looked up the best place for Guinness in Liverpool. This place consistently came up online as the best. Having made the effort to visit several on the list of the apparent best I can confirm it's the best Guinness in Liverpool! It comes very close to some of the top pints in Dublin which says it all

To avoid. They don't follow the schedule. They closed the kitchen early.

Nice music, nice atmosphere, nice staff, but... We have been repeatedly harassed and physically attacked by a group of drunk homosexual individuals. Totally can't recommend this place for hetero people unless you want to get into a fight.

We were here for St Patrick's Day, meeting up with family. Live music all day. Great staff and service.

Went for Guinness as seen lots of you tubers recommended it (really Like my Guinness) and it lived up to it names A Great pint, very friendly staff and a real quirky pub. Food was excellent. Pricing is very good too. Defo should be on the visit list when in Liverpool

Dropped in for lunch with a few friends. Great staff and very friendly. The place looks small from the outside but it goes up a few floors to the rooftop. Good menu and the food was delicious. Couple of pints went down very well too. Highly recommended.

Shenanigans on Tithebarn Street is without a doubt the best Irish pub in the city centre and well worth a visit.Housed in a fantastic building that look's amazing with it's murals displayed at the side of this building. The inside has a brilliant look and feel with many interesting fixture's and features and if there's a better interior design in the city with it's mix of quirky items adorning all the walls and ceiling we haven't seen it.There's superb seating areas throughout the pubs multi-leveled interior and a superb terrace on the roof that give's great views of all the surrounding area. We went to here around midday and it was fairly busy which is how me and my twin bro like pub's as the atmosphere's better.When we visited here we had a couple of glasse's of Guinness which where superb and really well priced.This is a superb Irish pub that is in a brilliant area and is easy to get to from Moorfields train station its a short walk.(This is my fifth review of Shenanigans). Grotty pub that needs a good tidy up- boxes thrown around . Crumbs still on the tables when food service was not even on . Tall barman with a beard and a huge dose of attitude . Was rude and unfriendly all night long . Only reason we stayed here is cause we were staying nearby otherwise would have left after first drink which we could see most people did . Visited the exelisor bar the following night . Got a great welcome and our business was really appreciated , lovely staff and a great welcome there .

1 hour wait for eggs benedict. 1 slice bacon total. Forgot coffee which was cold when it finally arrived.
