Stopped off for a hot drink and slice of cake. We were the only people in the coffee shop at the time but waited ages for our order, despite two people serving. The cakes were tasty but the slices were tiny. Also the "regular" coffee was served in very small cups. Not good value for money - will not go there again.

yes this is a good place to stop for a drink and view the quaint garden centre. The only draw back is the cups for drinks are small so by having a cappuccino you get a cup full of froth. Really need to get proper size cups as you pay normal prices for half a cup.

A lovely little tea shop to finish off the day after browsing the garden centre. Very friendly staff and although it was almost closing time we were still welcomed. A good cuppa served in nice crockery and yummy cakes! Worth a visit if you are passing, without the need to buy plants!

Always love to grab a coffee and cake at Brownes whilst popping to shop for the garden. In fact often I'll just come for the latte and skip the plants. Particularly restful to sit out on a sunny day.

We have been coming to the Coffee Shop for several years. The toasted sandwiches are delicious and the coffee is great, not too strong, so I don't have to ask for one shot as I do in the chain coffee places. It is possible to sit by the pond and enjoy the surroundings.

Took my son here and definitely had high expectations after the larger garden centres I have been to in the area. Quite a good selection of plants but a missed opportunity with the tea room I thought. There needs to be a slightly wider choice on the menu and I wasn't tempted by any of the cakes, so I feel they could improve what's on offer refreshment wise

Going round this excellent garden centre gives one an extra perk by having a simple cabin-style cafe. Not a lot of choice and a big meagre on the gluten free. Nevertheless quiet and out of the way!

We've been coming her for years - often with elderly parents, and it's always a pleasure to be met by Sandra's cheerful greeting. Totally unprententious, this is just a really pleasant large shed in a garden centre, but quintessentially English.

Found this little gem by chance but was very impressed. Real home made cakes. I can recommend the scones too, they are excellent. Cappuccino was delicious too, with real chocolate shavings - how good is that!! Well worth a visit.

Romantic it isn't, but it more than makes up for this by being friendly and spotlessly clean. We were there on a grey weekday morning and it was great to walk into a warm, bright space and be served promptly. Coffee and cakes good, so we'll definitely be back.

I have to say I went with the family three years ago and it was worth it, now, probably the worst we have had anywhere in a while. My sisters meal arrived cold, I had pork roast, pork overdone , no crackling, Yorkshire pudding overdone but gooey on the bottom, carrots limp. Stater Calamari so overdone, with wine for two 75 pounds, so over rated not good please think twice, there are better places, so disappointing .

Visited for Kiefer Sutherland gig. Place was boiling hot on a not particularly hot summer's day. Little to no ventilation and no A/C. The side doors all around the audience were left closed. This seemed ridiculous given the temperature. Security staff were handing out free water to the audience when all they needed to do was open the side doors. Even Kiefer reminded the audience to drink water as a few of the audience had fainted! Luckily I had a portable fan so I was ok,but many weren't.

We expected so much more from the Well Inn, but were very disappointed. A very basic hotel, breakfast was tea and toast, the bar is newly refurbished but the tv didn’t work. Our room was very small, bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. No food on a Sunday and the bar was closed at 4.

A Tuesday night in January where other pubs in nearby villages are closed it was a joy to find this one open. A great traditional pub with a nice warm fire, friendly welcome, reasonable drinks, what more do you want? Deserves to be supported. Well done!
