Amazing breakfast, amazing location and amazing service. Really enjoyed breakfast here at Brown & Green life cafe. It is located inside Crystal Palace park with seating both inside and outside. So when the weather is good it’s an amazing place to go and eat outside with lovely scenery outside. Would highly recommend this place and their veggie breakfast was very tasty.

Extremely disappointed that this establishment does not accept cash it is discriminating against people who may not have money in the bank. For this reason I will not be revisiting also the member of staff who served me was ever so slightly patronizing when I expressed my disappointment. A cashless Society does not benefit everybody and cash should not be refused as it is legal tender

Horribly overpriced, mediocre food, lukewarm coffee. On the few occasions I use the place, I always feel underwhelmed and ripped off.

I live in Sydenham and have been coming to Green and Brown since they opened. It's a lovely little cafe - delicious food, great coffee and friendly staff. They've also planted a beautiful garden next to the cafe. Well worth a visit if you're in Mayow park!

Muy buena comida y una gran vista, los precios son un poco altos. El tiempo de espera fue bastante rápido, aunque llegó temprano para obtener un asiento decente.

Although the food is always tasty I visit infrequently because of the slowness of service, even when just getting a take away coffee to walk around the park with. Even though I believe in supporting local businesses I think this will probably be my last visit. Today was particularly slow.

We only stopped there for a meeting as it was a sunny day and ordered a couple or lemon/orange juices that we took out a fridge/cooler. Spent the rest of the day in the toilet. Most likely not fresh or lacked basic hygiene? The tables outside were not very clean and there was quite a lot of dirt also surrounding the tables.. which was a sign.. Never again

Great venue, great menu, great food but if you are in a hurry forget it. Super slow service - have walked out of here empty handed on several occasions when all I wanted was a coffee to go

We just picked up some takeaway coffees, but liked the friendly staff and there were some interesting offerings on the 'specials' board. We intend to return to sit outside, enjoy the pleasant views of the Park and sample the food.

Lovely spot in Mayow Park for dog watching. Have had a few different meals here and they have varied in quality, but the Aussie eggs (scrambled egg on Marmite slathered sourdough with Thai sweet chilli sauce and rocket) are the show stopper here. They also do good coffee so grab a seat and relax. Queues can be long on a nice sunny day but hey, it's a nice sunny day so just relax:)

Park is popular and cafe is in a good location in corner. Took a while to be served. To me the drinks were average for this type of establishment. Food not tried

Really amazing breakfast. Can’t fault it - we both went for the bigger veggie option but added bacon. Really great flavours and big! Fab coffee and great staff. Just lovely sitting there with fab food, drink and within the park. Take a walk there and treat yourself, you won’t regret it!

A great park cafe, perfect for friends and families. Portions are generous, ingredients are fresh and drinks are delicious! The manager is super friendly and the staff are always smiling. Caters for veggie, vegans and meat eaters with lots of gluten free options too. The carrot cake is a personal favourite, definitely recommend!

used to come here loads. The coffee has changed - used to be lovely now it tastes cheap and bland. Went the other day. The place was empty and we ordered two flat whites to go. They were nearly ready and I changed my order to have in. A load of people came in after us and ordered take away coffee. We waited TWENTY minutes to be served. The staff had a we don't care attitude and I had to go back THREE times to chivvy them along. Rubbish service, poor coffee.

The coffee was bland and tasteless, the milk was bitty, the cakes and the coffee are overpriced, there is no sneeze guard over the food, apparently people who can afford these prices have strong immune systems.

Decided to spend the afternoon in the sunshine in my local park and start off by having a bite to eat. I had the vegan breakfast and was most impressed. Tasty, filling and lovely and fresh. Of course, I had to also sample the vegan flapjack afterwards, which was equally as tasty. It's nice to have the option to sit indoors or outside, the only drawback being the sheer volume of buggies and kids! This is a great local place and a real bonus to the lovely park. It's pretty good value for money as well.

Mayow cafe is beautifully situated on the edge of Mayow park in an area that is lacking places to eat and I was delighted to discover such a place. However having been here in several occasions I find the service and the food to be mixed at best. The menu offered is often different from what you actually get and the understanding that you give to a 'new' members of staff quickly diminishes when service doesn't improve over time. The staffing is disorganised and badly managed not quirky though I am sure that is what they would like you to think!I really want this cafe to work but they seriously need to get their act together.

You're definitely in nappy valley here. Bring a pram and you're one of the gang. The coffee is good and there are cakes and other bits and pieces, but they do a full trendy brunch menu - the whole mashed-avocado-on-sourdough-bread thing that Londoners under 40 seem to love these days. Service with a smile in a beautiful hidden park.

This is what makes sydenham great - away from the bustle of buggies and runners of Dulwich . The vegetarian breakfast has been deemed by the Hawk as the best in town ... praise in deed . The quirky artwork and interiors also make it a pleasurable way to spend an hour ...... then a walk round the park or watch the local cricket team . worth a vist

This is a really lovely looking cafe in the park, we've popped in for takeaway hot drinks and had a very nice cooked breakfast here when it first opened. Although we don't go on a regular basis as being in a park it is often busy and full of families, especially on weekends, which can make for a slightly less than relaxing atmosphere!

This is a little treasure of a cafe, tucked away inside a corner of the beautiful Mayow Park in Sydenham. Sparkling with community spirit and joie de vivre, they sell great little cakes, coffee and toasted sandwiches. A fab little outfit leading the charge in transforming Sydenham. We've been back 3 times in 3 weeks. Hurrah!

Brown and Green is a gorgeous little cafe in a converted bowling pavilion in Mayow Park. The big breakfast is very tasty and extremely reasonable at £6.95. Excellent coffee selection as well as scrumptious cakes. We happened to pop in on a Monday and got to experience the joy of Jazzy Mondays - an 11.30-1 music session with Florence, one of the lovely staff here. What a voice! We've just got back from our honeymoon and what a treat to come home to!

Tried the tasty burgers here and the halloumi salad. I especially liked the halloumi & avocado burger. Friendly service, although one of the items we ordered wasn't brought, so had to nip back inside for it. Slight criticism is that the interior dècor is rather more shabby than chic; and the exterior picnic tables, although a novel circular design, need to have their crevices cleaned out cos there were a lot of crumbs etc. lurking... Also think that nearly £2 for a can of San Pelligrino is a bit pricey. But overall, can recommend.

Our family love the easy going atmosphere of this great park....Good scooter country.... An excellent playground for the kids .... Lovely trees .... And now a really fab cafe! Brown and Green serve delicious cakes, great coffee and superb rolls filled with good quality bacon and our absolute favourite egg and haloumi cheese! I know that is an odd combination but it really is delicious! And each roll is made with great care. You may have to wait for your meal but it is well worth it!

Summertime and it's easy living in Mayow Park, Sydenham. The talented Florence perched on a stool on the verandah croons her away through an eclectic mix of Gershwin, Irving Berlin and the great American songbook. It's Jazzy Monday (11.30-1pm) at Brown and Green. Cafe afficiandos include what looks like a toddlers' convention with attendant mums or grandparents, workers from home with their laptops, assorted dogs and babies in buggies. Inside the quirky pavilion cafe there's plenty of breakfasts and snacky things on offer. I must move on from the delicious bacon and sausage sour dough bap with rocket and tomato. The scrambled eggs with feta, coriander and chilli look wonderful and big breakfast ... big! But most of all it's a hit with the ever discerning Miss Izzy aged two and a half. The cheese sandwich is demolished, Apple juice in a carton "all gone" and the art books and colouring materials the beginning of a creative career. This cafe with allotments on one side and community gardens on the other is a delightful corner of a most interesting and interactive park in South London. And then on Mondays there's the wonderful Florence on vocals as well. "Heaven, I'm in Heaven ...!"

La carta es poco variada. Y la relación calidad precio deja que desear. 4 hamburguesas pequeñas, de carne de ternera, servidas sin gracia ninguna, con pan reseco y 3 cervezas más 1 agua (del grifo) nos costó 76 libras.

Good pot of tea. Great coffee (of various varities) or hot chocolate when the weather demands it. Breakfast tea when needed. Really good cakes (mostly made locally/on the premises). An excellent range of savoury short orders. Cheerful and very friendly service/staff. All recommended. Reasonably quiet. Weekday closure always by 5.00pm. Kitchen closes at 4.00pm.

A little gem in Ladywell. Splendid rear garden which was just great in the sun - with a good amount of shade. And the coffee was really, really good.

Seems like a lovely community place for the neighbourhood and good atmosphere, however the service was the worst I've experienced anywhere in London so far. I tried to get an order in with an egg roll and one cappuccino with oat milk. Pretty basic you'd think. The guy at the till was either distracted or forgetful, but had to repeat it like three times to finally get it in. Straight after saying 'cappuccino with oat milk', proceeds to make a cappuccino with normal milk and hands it over. Eventually I get the correct drink in. After that, I end up waiting 40 minutes for the food, which is nowhere in sight. I go to ask inside, and all the staff members look at me equally blanked, with the kitchen lady saying she's never got that order from the guy at the till. Marvellous. At this point I've given up. Eventually, I got my food and the only plus to the whole experience was that they offered cake as a 'sorry'. However, really disappointing in overall.
