The menu was poor, their had been no changes since we stayed last year. My husband ordered the risotto, he didn't expect to have to pull sticks of heards out of his meal.

Bar staff was really friendly and chatty, we had soup and the cheddar sandwich. The food was lovely and a very nice atmosphere probably due to not many people in there.

I have visited the Bank House Hotel on several occasions over the years, but each time it had been under different ownership (and somewhat lacking in many areas). However, I found that things have improved enormously in my recent business networking visit to the hotel. The furnishings have been upgraded and the staff were pleasant and helpful. I was there for a networking meeting at breakfast which was good but there were just 2 things missing: hot tea (and I mean hot, not luke warm and stewed) and some orange juice rather than just water. Get that right and it will be much better. Looking forward to this improvement at the next event there. Thanks.

Called in for a lunch time meal. We were the only people in the bar area. We ordered drinks and went through the menu. Both of us ordered the same meal but one had as a "lite bite" and the other as a main meal which was the Chicken on a skewer with noodles and spring onions The food was just OK but lacked any flavouring apart from the onion. The chicken was bland with very little colour from the cooking process. The price difference between the types of meal was almost double, but interestingly the chicken size on the "lite bite" with two Chicken skewers were noticeably larger than the Chicken portion on 4 skewers on the main meal. Therefore it felt as though the almost doubling of price for the main meal was for the larger portion of noodles only!!! The staff were pleasant and attentive but the food let down our experience and will now stick in our minds when considering future visits to the restaurant.

Booked this hotel for a 2 night golf break with friends. The golf course was excellent and club staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Food in the bar was very good. Hotel was also very good with very nice staff and a bright new fresh feel to the accommodation which I understand has recently been fully refurbished .Food at breakfast and evening meal was good but choice offered to people on the golf break was limited i.e. both nights were offered Pate and Bream as one of the course options. Not too much of a problem as we were only there 2 days but this would have been very boring if the same was on offer a third night. I would suggest more variety in the menu was a must. Whilst our bedroom was spacious it was very hot and there was no relief from the heat even with all the very small windows wide open. The House Manageress was very kind and did provide us with a room fan and this was very welcome indeed. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and we will return at sometime in the future.

Since the refurbishment began, my partner and I have stopped by to eat here a few times. The ambience obviously depends on the volume of traffic, and it has been quiet whilst the refurbishment has been underway, but it has increased over recent months. The outside area looks superb and come summer, this will be a superb location to stop by for lunch or dinner, eating outside , with far reaching views over the malvern hills. The food is great, at reasonable prices, and the staff very friendly and keen to please. They need to sort out their etiquette over billing though - we once had our bill shouted over other diners to us, and recently we were asked to pay for our food when ordering. And I dont think we looked dodgy!! But otherwise customer service was very attentive. A few small tweaks and this will be a lovely and hugely popular place to stop by for lunch or dinner - especially in the sunshine.

Since our last visit in 2006 this place was unrecognisable and has come on leaps and bounds. The much needed modernisation of the club house and hotel is spot on-and the condition of the golf course ,considering the time of year would of put a lot of golf clubs in the heights of summer to shame . Although always apprehensive with golf break food the evening meal was good standard and the buffet breakfast was fresh and not bland like other buffets ones we have had in past. The staff from the golf pro to the waitress couldn't do enough for us-there is still more on going and planned work going on so we look forward to seeing it on our return visit next year!

I went to a Christmas lunch with the Forresters last week (Thursday 8 December) Brook Bank House Hotel, Bransford and was appalled by the pre-booked food served to up. My choice, 'Soup with croutons' consisted of a bowel piled high with pieces of stale bread floating on top of a tasteless vegetable puree the consisteny of wallpaper paste. I followed this with the vegetarian dish 'Ricotta and Spinach Ravioli' -- ie parcels of greyish pasta looking like four tired tea-bags sitting of a pile of undressed rocket heaved onto the plate with a pitch fork. Those that went for the XMAS dinner fared no better with many guest complaining of the bullet like sprouts that were ' al dente' in the extreme, a tasteless gravy and paper-thin slices of dry turkey. Need I say more.

Avoid this pub and the brewery that owns it. They ripped me off, HMRC have been informed about the way they operate and pay staff cash to avoid paying tax and national insurance. Tye kitchen is in a terrible state not fit to serve food. The police are watching the pub due to drink drivers constantly drinking in the pub and the. Driving home. I urge people to proceed with caution

I went to The Grovewood Bar and Restaurant yesterday for dinner and had an awful experience. Firstly, service was extremely slow and had to wait over half an hour to be served, let alone how long it took to receive our two very simple drinks. Secondly, I ordered a chicken caesar salad with no anchovies and after waiting a long time it arrived with anchovies. I gently complained and asked for another to be made with no anchovies and soon arrived a second salad, this time with no anchovies but also no chicken!!!!! How hard is it to make a chicken caesar salad correctly, especially for £19.50!!! I declined the salad as my mum had finished eating her meal at this point, and it was taken off the bill. I decided to order a dessert apprehensively after this poor experience because I was still hungry after having only a side of garlic bread for dinner. I ordered a sticky toffee pudding and after 40 minutes it had still not arrived. I queried how long it would be with one of the waitresses and she said she would find out. She soon came back stating that the ticket for the order must of got lost as there was no record of a sticky toffee pudding order and she said that the chef has now gone home. I was absolutely mortified and disappointed with the service and my experience here. The staff mentioned that another chef was around and would make the sticky toffee pudding right away. Around 5 minutes later it arrived, I must say the pudding was delicious and one of the best sticky toffee puddings I have ever tasted. Hence, why I have given the food 2 stars as a compromise. I am very disappointed with the poor service and professionalism at The Grovewood Bar and Restaurant and will absolutely not be returning.

We came for Sunday Carvery with a group of 22 (!) booked ahead and they were brilliant. The carvery was served up with a smile and portions very generous - lovely veg and big Yorkshires. Brilliant value - especially on mother's day.
