Nice find hidden down on the harbour side, the owner is really nice and the service reflects that with his team. We would go back for sure

Place next to the River Avon, I had Fish and chips and it was very good.

Lovely location looking over Bristol marina, very friendly owner who made the experience extra special. Two for £12 cocktails if you have the same and other drinks not too expensive concidering the view Would highly recommend a visit if passing.

I made a reservation for this restaurant a month in advance, only to arrive on the day and find that they were closed. I was shocked to find that the system let me book the table and even put in my card details, despite the fact that the restaurant was closed. This shows a complete lack of respect for their customers' time and money. To make matters worse, their Google listing still says they're open, which is completely misleading. Do yourself a favour and steer clear of this unprofessional and unreliable establishment.

Dock was firmly in tact. 3/5 stars

We came in to have a couple of beers (the IPA was a local brew from a brewery just across the water 👍) and our server Laura made us feel very welcome so we decided to stay for a bit of dinner, which was really good too. Location is great on the water and I just wish it was a summer's day so we could enjoy the sun and the water from the outside terrace. All in all: I'll be back!

Great place. Very affordable. We had the BLT and the Chicken mango sourdough sandwich and both of them were just amazing.

Popped in the Broken Dock for an impromptu spot of brunch. We were instantly impressed by the friendly,welcoming manner of the staff and their helpfulness. It seems to be a rare thing these days so definitely needs acknowledging. The food was amazing too. Would highly recommend.

fabulous food and friendly professional staff. The sharing platters were huge and really tasty. The view outside is of SS Great Britain and the dock was really interesting to watch from the outside seating. We ate inside and the glass picture window gave a spacious and airy feel to a relatively small space. The restaurant is a short walk from the wheel and fairground space, the aquarium and planetarium.

A lovely little venue with great food, especially brunch. Downside is the opening times are hit and miss, could be 0930 sometimes 1000. Certainly worth a visit.

Attended this lovely restaurant last night, gorgeous setting, really friendly staff front of house. However, only option for steak is rump on the menu and the chef can't cook it to consumer taste.

I'm a forgiving customer who would rather not revisit a restaurant than leave a bad review, but this. Was. Ridiculous. We booked a table of 9 that became a 7 earlier in the week for a confirmed Sunday roast at 18:30. This was for a special occasion as it was my partners Birthday meal who was also 37 weeks pregnant, a last hurrah if you will. We were met by lovely staff who were very friendly and then proceeded to give us menus. Unfortunately, this was where the good times ended. We were then told over the next 5 minutes via 3 or more trips to the kitchen, that there was no pork as advertised but lamb instead, then no chicken, then no beef. So of the 3 meats on the menu they had zero, and instead had one other meat and the vegetable option. To top this all off they weren't running their normal menu alongside the Sunday Menu so there was no other option! Disappointed does not even cover it, we were offered a round of drinks to compensate our time which I did appreciate however what was the point in wasting time here when we now need to look for somewhere else to eat on a Sunday night. A phone-call in advance would have solved the issue or better yet if you have people coming for confirmed reservations make sure you have enough food. I appreciate how polite everyone was but unfortunately this has left a very bad vision of this establishment in my mind and I hope no one else has to suffer this experience at a later date.

Amazing Sunday roast! Lovely hot summers day and they had a saxophonist outside playing which was a lovely atmosphere. Roasts were huge and the pigs in blanket and cauliflower cheese sides were delicious. Could have a bigger range of cocktails as the ones on the menu are quite strong, or offer to do some that aren’t on the menu. All in all really good and would return.

Stopped off for a cold one one afternoon and bar was busy, got a table in the shade and ordered to Estrella’s, just thought £5.60 was pricey for a beer.

Worst roast. Went here about a year ago and it was one of the best roasts I have ever tasted. Today was the complete opposite! The roasters tasted like frozen ones. Carrots were screaming “I’m full of water” and I may aswell have been eating dust in comparison to the flavour on the greens. I feel like they have changed chefs either that or he was smoking something other than meat back there! I’d probably come again for drinks because of the location but I’d definitely eat before I got there! Very disappointed.

We weren't expecting such a great meal! This quayside pub has a super kitchen offering. The menu is quite small which for me, as a former restaurant chef, is a sign of freshly prepared food made on the premises. Dinner was delicious and included garlic prawns, smoked salmon, mussels and pork terrine for starters, followed by sea bass, plaice fillet, squash risotto and smoked cauliflower for mains. We were delighted with the choice of vegetarian dishes. Everything was prepared and presented beautifully- and tasted fantastic. I highly recommend the Broken Dock and I'm super glad we went there!

Great Sunday roast - we had the nut roast, chicken and beef and all three were massive portions - far more than we expected. The staff were very friendly and helpful and clearly enjoy their jobs! The only comment is that the pigs in blankets came as honey mustard glazed slices of sausage with bacon bits - very good but not pigs in blankets. The guest ale was also very good.

Quite possibly one of the best Roast Dinners I have ever had! Beef Brisket was wonderful and veg was fresh, flavoursome and seasonal. Cauliflower cheese was amazing. Not the cheapest but thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful and will definitely go back. Excellent service too

One of those places we don't just go for a quick drink. Tend to spend the whole afternoon, evening and nighttime!

Great roast and the service was excellent. We sat inside/out so the food wasn't hot (not their fault) The dropped star is ONLY for the pigs in blankets. They were great but would have been better sitting in a tapas menu as they didn't really go alongside the rest of then yummy food that well, so only a little negative! Cauliflower cheese was spot on! Will definitely go back and highly recommend

Honestly Adam gave one of the best and most friendly experiences I've had in a long time, so friendly and welcoming, felt like he was an old freind, really 10/10, I wouldn't usually bother wrightint a review but he was so warm kind and funny I couldn't not. Good, quick service in an easy atmosphere - very tasty breakfast.

Excellent food and service. I had the buttternut squash risotto which was the best I've ever had, partner had pan fried plaice which he said was equally good. Adam was very knowledgeable regarding the food options, what ingredients are included and thought the tasters of the local lager was brilliant. Will definately be returning soon!

This is a fabulous place to visit. The staff were attentive but not over the top. The cocktails were on point, and the food was amazing!! Our son ate a full steak and proclaimed it the best ever and the smoked cauliflower, who knew it could taste so good! the home made chocolate ice cream?!?! 🤤 Adam was such a nice host, friendly and funny, had us all laughing. Geo was super friendly and smily. You don’t across these type of hosts every day. Thanks guys!! Keep up the sterling work

We had an excellent experience with you!! We were greeted warmly by Adam and seated promptly. Our drinks order was taken within a couple of minutes by Gio and after they were prepared by Joe at the bar, they arrived soon after. The food was amazing and we can’t fault Nick, Oaken and Rubin in the kitchen. The whole evening was perfect from the moment we arrived, the service throughout and the farewells at the end. We’d recommend this place to everyone and we’ll definitely be returning ourselves.

We bought drinks outside but the van was linked to broken doc, spent £200 on drinks and were told we could not use the toilet because we didn't have a table, discussing attitude by security

Just had morning coffee here with a friend. Excellent service from our lovely waiter, Tommy, nothing too much trouble & all done with a cheerful & friendly attitude. I can highly recommend for a good experience, with stunning views.

Took 20min to bring coffee and nearly an hour for breakfast. Mushrooms hadn't been washed and were gritty, and the service was lacking.

Slightly disappointed. We saw a photo of their breakfast online with the advertised “thick cut bacon” and it looked great, sadly it was not thick cut, just normal thin size and very chewy so maybe they have downsized since that photo. No black pudding or butter and they couldn’t find the ketchup. Lovely location and nice staff. Iced peach tea was good.

Popped in for Sunday morning brunch. They squeezed our party in, even though they were preparing for lunch time. Food was first class, service was excellent, professional and friendly. Its obvious that these people care about the food they serve. I will be back to try evening menu. Suggest you try their version of an English breakfast - it won't dissapoint.

Nice outdoors area. But there were many things missing on the menu, the bread, cherry tomatoes… they never brought any napkins, and when I asked for olive oil they brought a mixture with Balsamic. Great location! Not a lot of mask wearing.

I visited the Broken Dock on Saturday 23rd October with a few friends. We ordered two Proper Breakfasts and two Eggs Royal and loads of coffee as we were slightly worse for wear. The service was top class, really friendly staff, and the food? Oh boy it was amazing, that huge slab of slightly smoky thick cut bacon is divine. And when they say thick cut, they bloody well mean it too! Everything on the plate was perfectly cooked, the black pudding was very tasty, the slightly vinegary mushrooms were delightful, I'm salivating as I write this, it was really that good!!! A perfect start to the day!

The staff took ages to seat us and once they had they just pointed us at a menu on another table rather than getting us one. We then sat for ages and they showed very little interest in serving us despite not appearing busy or under staffed. In the end we gave up and moved on. Won't try here again.

A below average dinner, particularly for the price. Service was unimpressive with the staff knowing very little about their own menu. Despite being one of only three tables in the restaurant, service was very slow and with mistakes. One starter was missed and one main dish arrived a good 10 minutes after all the others. Food was on the sparse side but just acceptable. Unsure if I would come again. I think I’d check the reviews 🤔

Incredible food and lovely service

Went for dinner as we have always wanted to try, we sadly feel that our trip there was a bit spoiled by other guests who were very loud. It is a relatively small space so I guess that is to be expected. Food was nice and arrived quickly although one course was a bit disappointing. We felt the scallops were small for a dish that cost £11 and overall the portion size of the starter was on the small side. Food was nice and will go again but not in a hurry.. Great location for summer evenings though.

Great food and friendly service. Ordered mushrooms on toast, and partner had all day breakfast, but were beyond expectations from such a simple description and were delicious. Waitress very friendly and engaged very well with our child. Will come back again.

I chose from the day menu. I picked the all day continental breakfast - small portions. One slice of toasted bloomer bread is not sufficient - wouldn’t break the bank to add a second.

I would echo some other comments here. The food is good but the service was some of the worst I have experienced on more than one occasion - I gave the place a second try and it was even worse. If you don't like your lunch to arrive at dinner, and your bill to arrive the next morning, steer well clear.

Visit 1: Best Salt & pepper squid you’ll find in Bristol. Visit 2: Pork Belly Roast - perfect for those that prefer quality over quantity.

Unbelievably shocking customer service. Will happily sell you how ever much takeaway drinks they want, but won't allow you the common decency of using the facilities when the time comes. Served by a rude man uninterested in taking anything but your money, took ages for simple pints to arrive. Dined in before and been unimpressed by food, price and drinks. Only good thing is their location.

Beautiful place! I went there for a breakfast on the weekend around 9:30 am and it was quiet and relaxing. The food was delicious and the staff was nice. I highly recommend and I look forward to coming there again! The only minor drawback is that there is no obvious place to lock bikes to. I had two bikes locked together and left just outside so that I could see them. I can imagine being more nervous when it gets crowdier.

Poor service; food took over an hour to arrive – 3x BLT's (without the T's), Eggs Florentine and a full english; drinks were poor – had to send a Bucks Fizz back, and the Bloody Mary's were essentially straight tomato juice (£8.50). The whole experience was a total shambles and whilst they ended up discounting the bill, this was only after we expressed our frustration on multiple occasions during the meal, rather than them recognising their own mistakes. Overall thoroughly disappointing and won't be going back.

Did not enjoy the gnocchi. The waiting staff checked in with us regularly but would often forget to bring us the items we had requested. Would only go there for drinks.
