Brockley Jack Public House in Lewisham

Met a friend for lunch today. Always nice food and very reasonable price. We were served by THOMAS, what a lovely man. Friendly and warm. He made a fuss of my dog and made sure she was well catered for as well as us. Always have a nice time and visit at least once a month.

Nice atmosphere, staff polite and very helpful. average price for drinks but food prices were good and the food was nice. Has nice outdoor seating in the back

This pub was taken over by a new manager around 6 months ago and WOW what a difference this has made. The quality of food and service is excellent now and this has not been the case for years in this pub. She is constantly upgrading the pub and Elen the chain won’t pay for a refurbishment I’ve seen her painting benches outside and the front of the bar herself. As someone who lives in the same street it’s so wonderful to be able to come back to the Brockley Jack as a regular customer. Before this manager arrived you never even knew if the pub doors would be open and even when they were the kitchen was often closed. Staff were rude and previous managers didn’t care about the pub.

I have been going to this pub with my nephdog for a few months now and have to say no matter what day or time we go the staff are always amazing! They are super dog friendly and always make the experience great! Sarah the manager is lovely and leads a fantastic team. Food is brilliant for the price and they even have a doggy menu. Large outside area which is great in good weather also! Would highly recommend to anyone local or visiting! It is always our place of choice now!

We used to go to the Brockley Jack regularly, but stopped a couple of years ago because the service and the food deteriorated massively. We decided to take a chance last night and 8 of us went to celebrate my son’s birthday. What a lovely surprise. There is new management and a whole new team. The welcome was generous, warm and friendly. The service was really good, we ordered large rounds including cocktails, they brought the drinks to our table so we didn’t have to wait at the bar. The food was lovely, everything on the menu was available, which was another change from two years ago. The service of the food was quick as well. Really lovely evening, so glad we went back.

Fantastic. Was quiet, which was nice as had a lot of work to do. Food was great, reasonable prices too. Kayleigh was friendly and welcoming.

We were visiting the area and stumbled upon this pub. Warm welcome and very friendly staff who were only to happy to answer some questions about the local area too. We popped in for a drink at lunch time and then returned for dinner in the evening. Food was lovely, relaxed atmosphere and great staff. Always a warm welcome from Sarah and the team, brilliant customer service such great place, with reasonably price food and if you fancy a night at the theatre, then you couldn’t ask for more too. Proud to call it a local.

We booked for Mother’s Day lunch and had a lovely time. Every member of staff was welcoming and friendly, food arrived quickly and was hot and delicious. Lovely touch that mum were given a box of chocolates too - thank you so much!

Absolutely terrible service. Used the app to order food and drinks. An hour and half later we got our food but no drinks. We then had to re-order the drinks with the barman. The place was freezing and radiator wasn’t working, we all ate in our coats. Only one member of staff behind the bar and then he also ended up bringing us our food. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

Stopped in for an early Friday night dinner. Despite the fact they had run out of fish (for fish and chips), we had a very tasty meal of Burger and Scampi, both with chips/fries and a side. Good value at under £30 with drinks. Service was exemplary.

Came back here to meet a friend for dinner after being told it had new management and food and service was improved. WRONG, it's an awful place still. On a very quiet evening, service was slow. Food was disgraceful. Fish seemed double fried and all hard batter. Same with chips. Asked for cranberry juice but received pink lemonade. Coffee order ignored until we reminded the cook lady who seemed to be cleaning the bar. Avoid this place!
