cute find in Gloucester! the lady that served us was so welcoming and lovely, we waited less than 10 minutes for our lunch bags (which btw are such well priced for what you get!!). I had a chicken, bacon & avacado toastie and it was very filling, it was a tiny bit bland but that's only because I enjoy some spice to my sandwiches. Would highly recommend this café, the cakes also looked so delish!

With so many eating places and being a visitor for the day we were so pleased with our choice to have lunch. Considering it was busy due to the retro weekend the service was exceptional. As was our choice of food .

We came across this today when we were looking for a place for lunch near the cathedral. Since it’s Monday many places were closed but my dad found this cafe and it was perfect. Food was all lovely and cooked to order. Can’t fault the service. Will definately be popping back because the cakes looked delicious but we didn’t have room today.

We were passing after having visited Gloucester Cathedral and noticed their outside advertising board showing their breakfast offer of a bacon, sausage and egg sandwich or bap plus drink for £6.50. Bargain! There was a convenient table in the shade outside the front door where we sat and were served by their lovely South African lady. Good start to the day!

Nice, quiet tea room with nice food. We've been a couple of times, and had a tasty lunch each time. Prices are reasonable.

I had a lunch that was much better than the modest price would suggest. Good thick substantial sandwiches with generous fillings (always a good sign when you can see the grain of the ham, to my mind) a properly fresh salad and a big handful of good quality sandwiches. All served by a cheerful lady who was happy to help. I'm pleased I went!

4 of us were having a coffee outside brimbles yesterday when a low flying seagull splattered us with what was pretty merde. two of our freshly bought coffees took the full brunt of the deposit, the latte especially badly hit. alison, the owner, replaced the two coffees with kindness and without charge. i cant imagine the coffeehouse chains all being so kind but after moving down after tobins vanishing, alison and her husband offer excellent food, to die for milkshakes, warmth and respect.

Found this lovely little place when visiting Gloucester. Nice spot near the Cathedral. Outdoor seating available. Great welcome and excellent service. We has a delicious lunch with a great pot of tea. Sandwiches served with a full salad with dressing or without. Only problem was we didn’t have time to have a piece of cake too. We’ll come back next time we’re visiting.

Used to come here for breakfast when it first opened and it was brilliant, food was delicious. The pictures I see on here are from around that time. Really support its cause and think it’s a brilliant use for the community. However went for breakfast and can only assume they have all new staff as I’m sad to say it was really awful. Everything was undercooked, hash brown was stone cold, toast came out pre-buttered (this wasn’t stated or asked) and was more bread than toast. Really disappointed as know it can be a brilliant local family friendly cafe but won’t be returning for food at least. Good for a coffee catch up or milkshake though.

I had trouble booking by phone/online so I emailed instead and I was very happy with the response 3 people attended for Sunday lunch with a weaning baby and it was wonderful. That staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We all had roasts which were lovely with all the trimmings (pork, turkey and lamb), great selection of veg (roast and mash potato, parsnip, red cabbage, broccoli, broccoli/cauli cheese and carrots) and huge portions. They put the baby's in a special bowl and were extremely accomodating. And the prices were really reasonable. The breakfast was recommended by a friend, but the lunch did not disappoint. If I was going to make any criticisms - the riot veg was a little el dente and as a bigger family we were a little cramped, but we would definitely return.

Absolutely amazing service and food was lovely. They accommodated two mummies and two prams without missing a beat ❤️ so grateful to the staff for making mine and my LGs first lunch out in town so great ❤️😊 and for just over a tenner for a sandwich, side boat (so cute), crisps and a drink it's good value ❤️

The Cavern is a real gem in Gloucester. The decor is super stylish, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and smiling, which really adds to the experience. The food and drink are top quality—I highly recommend the muffins, which were amazing! What makes The Cavern even better is its support for the local community. It’s not just a café; it’s a place where you can unwind, enjoy some games (we had a blast playing Jenga!), and have a great time with friends. It’s the perfect spot to sit, relax, and enjoy some downtime. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area!
