. . algo definitivamente NO estaba bien. .

¡¡El mejor fish and chips que he probado!! 10 / 10 recomiendo!

I order regularly for delivery with Just Eat. Never been disappointed. Fish cooked perfectly, generous portions, and the packaging used means deliveries arrive in perfect, piping hot condition. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Briggs Wallis and Benn to one and all.

We arrived here last night feeling a bit peckish and just wanted to try a portion of chips. We'd been wanting to try this chip shop for a few months and saw the sign on the door that said "Come in, we're open", so we parked up around the corner and tried to enter the premises just before 19:55 (5 minutes before closing), but alas the door was locked. Both of the staff inside simply ignored us, which turned a minor frustration into an annoyance. When you lock the door, please rotate the sign so it doesn't suggest you are open when you are not, or at least have the decency to acknowledge your faux pas and perhaps apologise and give us a smile; if only through the window. Especially when a customer is rattling your door thinking it's snagged and not locked and you are blatantly ignoring it. Since you went over to the door to lock it, how hard is it to flip the sign? We weren't expecting much, just acknowledgement, which would have been more than enough to make us happy and would have given us the impression that you actually cared about your customers and it's not just "a job" to you. Frankly, we are now left with the impression you just don't care, which means the chance of us ever returning is virtually zero. Also, please consider changing your closing times to 5-10 minutes before you actually close if you want to close early.

Watched the demise of Webster’s and months of the shutter not raising. Saw a chap that always wore a hat that seemed busy in trying to re-open it. Nobody ever seemed to know when it was going to open but then I saw the man in the hat scribbling on the banner saying it would open until “forever” on 7th June. We went as many do on a Friday. It was busy. Having been told by a friend that the special is BIG, we got the spiced battered haddock. It was like good battered fish that had dressed up for an Indian Wedding. Pretty sensational crispness and taste. I don’t know what’s in that drizzle but it’s got some punch. No black bits on the chips, even Indian style peas and curry if you want them. Whilst waiting the man in the hat was handing out sample pots of chicken over rice. It was like Indian Chinese Chippy curry with tender chicken - I saved half of mine to have with my chips. These chaps have created something that’s fish and chips but it’s a bit more too. I’m going for their saveloys this week in a butty. Nice to see beef dripping rather than anaemic veg oil that permeates after. Well done Briggs, Wallis & Benn. Even the name is a nice nod to Clayton.

Great coffee and cake, but a real shame they stop serving food so early, it was only 2.30pm. Cafe was clean and warm and good value though.

This place seems to divide opinion judging by the reviews but we thought it hit the spot nicely. Yes, the owner does invite you in if he spots you looking at the menu but we felt able to walk away, check a couple of other places and come back with no pressure. Sat out the back where there is lots of Bronte and Railway Children memorabilia on the walls. Even on a dreary day there were decent views over the valley towards Crossroads. In the summer the terrace would probably be lovely. We had homemade lentil and vegetable soup each, two sandwiches served with salad, pot of tea, bottle of water and a toasted tea cake for £25. For Haworth that’s not bad. Food was served quickly and was good, solid, no frills stuff - ideal for a grey autumn day.

Excellent little pub. Great service, great range of top quality beers. The food was absolutely memorable. Enormous serves, each plate could serve about four people but we all tried our best to finish it because it was just so good.
