Surf and turf cooked to perfection

Not been here for a good few months. Was nicely surprised tonight. Food lovely. Very filling, nicely priced, food atmosphere. Will be going back

Visited mid afternoon few other people in, we had good service and the was OK.

Always lovely meals. Lovely staff.

Food was delicious and looked really good wasn't disappointed at all. Was given a lovely warm welcome not badly priced We will visit again Well done guys!

Sat in beer garden which had obviously not been cleaned since the night before. The food was mediocre, the lager was warm, wouldn't recommend to anyone

A family birthday celebration and the Wrose Bull was requested :) so I made our reservation online via the website. Our reserved table was in a busy spot right near the main bar area which at times made conversations difficult when other guests were calling across to one another which was irritating … BUT … the food was really lovely & tbf it wasn’t too long a wait considering how busy it was & we enjoyed ourselves! ALSO they happily swapped peas for baked beans on one meal which was appreciated especially as it must have been so busy in the kitchen! If you visit don’t forget to pop your car registration into the thingy on the bar.

We went early doors at lunchtime and the food was lovely. It's not been a place I visit often, because the food is hit and miss, but it was really nice last week.only complaint, there were 8 of us, we ate just after 12 and no attempt had been made to clear the table when we left at 2.30. Still piled high with plates and empty glasses.

Food very good had the mix grill .

On arrival we were told that the kitchen was closing and they didn’t have enough staff and a limited menu This is after we booked the table a week before for 2 special birthdays After speaking to a member of staff who was also there duty manager we were told what was said above but we pointed out that they could have phoned us to let us know what was going on. We then had to find another place to eat at the last minute and get another taxi to get there Totally un professional

Lovely welcoming pub with amazing food and staff. Would definutely recommend to family ans friends. We arrived with 2 little children and it accomidated all the needs. Our server emma was very lovely and attentive

Lovely pub the food fish and chips and Belgium chocolate pudding with ice cream was superb. The only blip we had was parking. The car park is managed by a third party company who are over zealous but the pub management (Emma) sorted it out quickly.

Booked a table for the 30th May for my birthday arrived at the pub couldn't find the booking then ask for a gluten free menu they told us it was on the main menu and showed us the items with v no that vegetarian and vegan not gluten free when I booked I did ask for gluten free and they told yes if my family would have eaten the food she would have become poor then gave her a tablet to look at which didn't do any good as she no good with technology some older ppl don't use these tablet needs to have a gluten free menu and learn abt gluten free which is so different to vegetarian and vegan

Visited this pub for the first time . I had a sirloin steak ,the worst I've ever had . It was chewy and full of grissle. Was on a bed of very greasy onions and loads of them ,I don't think there was any need for this . Mushroons were swimming in juice . I left the meal and wouldn't recommend.

This pub would not be the same without this member of staff , so polite friendly and helpful she is asset to the team at wrose bull 😆😆Becca thank you so much !!

We are ‘Pensioner ladies that lunch’ careful how and where we spend our money and we enjoy a ‘meal deal’. We received a lovely welcome by the friendly staff who also explained the car parking system. Fans of a ‘sharing platter’ we added calamari which was unrecognisable because it has disintegrated, the 2 garlic bread slices were opposites 1x golden and the other small, hard and burnt :( Everything was deep fried (on enquiring this was confirmed) so at a guess it got 2-3 minutes too long because the chicken wings were hard and the meat ‘woody’. Our lovely server couldn’t apologise more but bless her she didn’t cook it. Sadly our much anticipated joint birthday lunch was a bit of a ‘let down’ we will go again, hopefully with more success next time. ***Updated March 2024 been a few times since with hubby & son; food has been very nice (although things have been missing but staff too busy for us to bother them). Had steak meal a few times & cooked as ordered:)

Been coming here a lot recently but the food as really gone down hill staff are lovely and welcoming need to sort the food out as other people were also saying the food was not as good as it used to be maybe need to get a new chef or retrain the one they’ve got

I always come here for meal, it’s close, welcoming and really nice cheap food. I went here today and order some starters that were apparently for three people.it was £10.49 for each plate. The amount on the plate was very disappointing. Each plate was just enough for one person

First time visiting this pub in many years but I won’t be returning .. but the service and staff were lovely .. we booked a table for 10 Easter Sunday.. both tables were not clean .. the whole place looked dirty .. we moved tables .. what did we have to eat, we’ll try what didn’t we have, no onion rings, no curly fries, no rice, no naan bread, no fish and chips, no sticky toffee pudding, my friends mixed grill was cold, very poor and it’s not cheap .. we booked for noon so feel sorry for the people who have booked for teatime, no excuse to run out of food at 12 Noon on Easter Sunday The food we did have was mediocre..a fellow diner i spoke with said it was poor too and apparently a new menu aswell,

Food was awful cold, hardly any food in, what everyone wanted place has gone down hill not clean at all tables floor and chairs real let down today on my sons bday

Wanted sirloin .no sirloin .have to have rump .only 3 pieces left .steak cold alway threw .mushrooms half cooked never seen any warmth .was asked how was it .told them .got a sorry that was it .won't be going again .

A very mediocre meal.....my mega mixed grill was warm but not hot, the service was ok but not brilliant and the atmosphere was ok but nothing exciting.

Becca gave me exelent service always had a smile on her face recommended me the most amazing food overall she was outstanding will be sure to visit again

Tried out the new menu, ordered the falafel & spinach burger and the laying it on chick burger, delicious! And the Guinness was very good with the shamrock drawing, thank you!!

All the staff was nice and friendly, my food looked really nice and tasted delicious too, nice crispy chips 🍟 and a big looking burger yum yum 🍔

I've visited many times, says it all really! Lovely food, friendly staff, plenty of parking (register your vehicle at the bar regarding parking, which is free). Loads of choice for food and drinks. Real ales is served also. I will visit again and recommend!!

The Bull is a pub first which serves food our party of 5 had lunch and then settled down to enjoy the day at 6pm we were told we had to move from our table as the 3 tables had been reserved not for eating but for the Quiz night , it was raining but we ended up in the garden in the huts as the pub had no room left full for the quiz

The staff behind the bar with very helpful and friendly bea and caz and the food was beautiful the best we have had in a long time we will be back very soon X

Amazing food- amazing staff- amazing manager. Honestly could not fault this place at all- everybody goes above and beyond to make sure everybody is satisfied including kids!! Also would recommend the quiz on Thursday nights - again a great night out. Keep doing what your doing :)

My husband and I got surf and yurt ‘sizzler’, it wasn’t sizzling so our food was sat on a bed of raw onions, both steaks over cooked, mine was burnt not just charred.. burnt, the cook must have known this but still served it burned side down!! , scampi was over cooked, tomato was raw. We thought we would try this place again as it is local to us and was told they had a new chef and manager. But still very poor. If the cook can send food out like that we will not return until they get another new chef that takes some pride in what they are serving.

A good and enjoyable experience had by all, and also a great evening out. Lovely food and desserts all very reasonably priced. Also good and helpful bar staff, plus a good relaxed atmosphere. Also a good choice of different dishes to choose from the menu.

Lovely dinner, staff are super friendly and helpful! The mixed Grills are to die for and cooked to perfection, will definitely be making this my new regular spot!

The Worst Bull was very clean and tidy,the staff were very helpful and polite. The food was very nice and warm.

Come here every year for Christmas Eve, the staff are lovely, the music is the perfect volume and the drinks are affordable! It’s always a good time ☺️

Had a fabulous day at the Wrose bull meeting with friends, we came to visit a while ago and the experience was not the same. The Wrose bull has had a “glow up”at its finest, great ambience as soon as you enter, welcoming staff, food was better than it has been for ages…. The Wrose Bull is my regular pub for family get-togethers and entertaining guests and visitors. Good food and great value, welcoming atmosphere - what more could one ask?

Bit of a nightmare, no sirloin in a sizzler pub?? "Jumbo" scampi came on a plate the size of a child's portion. Three of our choices were missing from the menu. Then onto the dessert, fruit crumble still frozen in the middle with room temperature custard. Utter shambles. This establishment had a reputation for being a good food pub, this is the first and last time I'll ever eat here. Very disappointed 🙄

It was the first time we've been back in since it is under new management and you can definitely tell the difference. The staff are happier and it feels alot more welcoming.

Half the food wasn't available and what was it was overcooked and bland, had to asked for parts of meal, took orders then said didn't have about 20 mins later, shocking service from the manager he didn't care at all, I won't be back, to...

Fantastic local pub made to feel at home Lovely food had by all, really friendly staff made you feel like we was regulars. The little lass served our food and very pleasant the lady in a shirt was great she had us laughing like crazy...

2 meals from the sizzling selection, friend had salmon and loved it, I had the chicken, and the lemon and herb rub came through superbly. Will certainly be going back soon

Fruit juice was chilled so did not need ice. My chicken was succulent and sat well beneath the Hunter’s topping of bacon, cheese and BBQ sauce. Eton Mess sundae was a good choice for a dessert. Staff were welcoming and efficient and coped sympathetically with advising my son when he stated his allergy potential. My 5 year old granddaughter was happy to order her own dessert from a young man who seriously listened to her choices for Make your own Sundae. A happy family experience.
