A nice pub restaurant. Busy early evening on a Friday but quieter as evening went on. The food was great especially the steak, chips a little overdone but ok. Good choice of dessert. Gluten free and vegan options. Service was excellent.

When booking our table for 4 mentioned we would be having a couple of drinks before ordering food said not a problem. After arriving we got our drinks sat down at our table. After 10 mins they came for our food order, I mentioned we was having a couple of drinks before ordering food, 10 mins later back again saying they want our order they have a booking for 21 who will be ordering food. We said its OK we was ok waiting. We was still waiting for one of our party still to arrive. We was told we had to vacate our table by a certain time was not aware about that when we booked. Felt very uncomfortable and rushed as they kept coming to our table to make us aware, Including the bar man. We was away with 10 mins to spare. Why do they do that we was aware of the time scale after we arrived just let us relax and enjoy that time, that's all I ask.

No volvería

We are regular visitors here as live locally. Came in for Sunday lunch today. At 5pm we were told there’s only chicken left. We accepted this and ordered. They take the money as you order. Waited about 25 mins which was ok but the food was terrible this time unfortunately. Every single item (meat, roasts and Yorkshire) was overcooked. All I could taste was charcoal burnt taste. Staff don’t act bothered. Nobody asks if everything is ok. Not good service to be honest and food really disappointing. Wouldn’t eat here again. Especially Sunday roast.

But to look out over the river Aire @Roberts Park whilst Saltaire Cricket Club played a cricket match on the very same Park. What's my point am I getting of the point of reviewing The Boat house experience that I had on that day. I guess if I was to bullet point this experience in order to try and get to the point as it were. 1 friendly staff 2 lovely pint well two pints Saltaire Blonde 3 quality food Pie N Peas 4 idyllic location 5 I will be visiting The Bathhouse again 6 I recommend that if you have not frequented The Bathhouse before put it on your list of pubs to visit

Took over 15 minutes to get served at the bar with 3 people queuing, then proceeded to wait 45 minutes to an hour for some cheesy fries and halloumi fries, poor selection of lager bottles available also. Wouldn't say the place was overly busy when we arrived considering they had 3/4 members of staff on the bar and at least 2 other staff members collecting glasses/walking around. When he finally brought the food over, he said that he didn't write our number down which is why our food took so long but never apologised just said thank god that he found us. The menu is very basic and really poor service pretty much self service as you have to go back inside to get your own cutlery etc and dispose of your own food etc. Whilst we were sat down outside we heard multiple people complaining and by the time we'd received our food, a guy on the next table was complaining about there not being service outside anymore to which an older staff member replied that it's busy and told them that they now couldn't have food at all outside. Rude staff, food wasn't anything spectacular for the prices, poor service and atmosphere wasn't great, Won't be returning.

Place is clean and tidy. Food is awful. Had Festive meal of starter and main. Starter of nachos meant to have pulled turkey and bacon. Needed microscope to find it. Main of Xmas dinner was terrible. All the veg was way over cooked and soggy. Yorkshire pud needed hammer and chisel, roast pots under cooked, stuffing ball absolutely tasteless and I don't think you can get a smaller pig in blanket. £45 down the drain.

We were here for a family wedding and booked in for two nights. We arrived late afternoon and were shown to our room (called Botany) via a back staircase which was in urgent need of a vacuum cleaner. Halfway up there was an emergency door leading to the back yard of the pub which was wide open letting cold air in. At the top of the staircase was an office door which was wide open revealing what can only be described as chaos. On entering the room things were much cleaner and the room was quite acceptable although a little dark with all the old furnishings. The bathroom was well fitted and very bright with a bath and walk-in shower. We were then told that the only exit at night after closing time was via the back door as the pub was locked and unmanned which we found rather disconcerting as did other guests in the next room. We had arranged a meal in the pub with family that evening and everything was perfect, food, service and restaurant were very good, so that gave us a good feeling for the breakfast offering. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Breakfast is extremely poor, held in a tiny room upstairs where there are three very small tables and a kitchen set-up. You serve yourself with everything except a pre-ordered hot breakfast at your designated time, which was a big disappointment with sausages that tasted off and bacon that was overcooked and hard. All toast and teas/coffees were self-serve. Certainly not the experience that was expected given the room rate of £120 per night! Surely it would be much better served in the restaurant?? We were vastly disappointed and declined breakfast the next morning leaving early. It must be said staff were all very polite and helpful, perhaps management need to take a closer look at their offering. The website says nothing about the strange breakfast arrangements or the fact that the establishment is unmanned at night. We will not be returning.
