A really nice pub with great view on the river. I loved the fact you could sit under the tree shade, inside or stand by the river. Great coffee! I was a bit sceptical, but was amazed with the coffee Josh made :)

Cozy upscale pub on the Aire River located between the river and the canal, and just across from Salts mill in Saltaire. They have a variety of seating, indoor and patio areas, all with a great view of Roberts park. An excellent place for a romantic date or a casual business meet up. Fabulous desserts...

A little more expensive than pub food but very good quality and ample portions. Also lovely location. We had never before but would definitely return.

Lucky for me I live just a stones throw away from The Boathouse. My visit was on the August Bank Holiday Monday 2024. Not only was it lovely to catch up with my partners brother. But to look out over the river Aire @Roberts Park whilst Saltaire Cricket Club played a cricket match on the very same Park. What's my point am I getting of the point of reviewing The Boat house experience that I had on that day. I guess if I was to bullet point this experience in order to try and get to the point as it were. 1 friendly staff 2 lovely pint well two pints Saltaire Blonde 3 quality food Pie N Peas 4 idyllic location 5 I will be visiting The Bathhouse again 6 I recommend that if you have not frequented The Bathhouse before put it on your list of pubs to visit

Pub/ bar overlooking the river Aire, a few local cask ales and the usual larges. In a nice setting with outdoor area . Worth a look.

Always enjoy the Boathouse. The food is lovely and the staff are kind and friendly. We've visited twice now for family events and really appreciate the food and the space to enjoy our family get togethers.

Sat outside, order seemed to be taking a while. Went inside to check and it had been ready some time ago and they hadn't bothered to bring it out. Food ordered was GF and DF, when it came out it was incorrect and was covered in cheese. Advise caution visiting here if you have allergies. Kitchen staff said they thought Dairy-Free meant no eggs!!

Only stopped for a coffee but other people had food & it looked good. Nice view

What a gem of a restaurant on our visit to Saltaire- very friendly staff and the food was delicious. We went for the curries as recommended by the waitress and we even had the chef explaining how he made them - they certainly didn’t disappoint.

A group of 11 of us all had a main course and there was not one complaint.

A group of us had been to Salts Mill then to The Boathouse Inn for lunch. Very good menu. No parking as it's near the canal.

I have worked in Saltaire for 23 years and I am ashamed to say that my first visit to the Boathouse was last Friday. It absolutely won't be my last visit. The food was absolutely lovely, between the four of us I had a chargrilled chicken caeser salad, friends had chilli and rice and enormous pizzas (they were given boxes to take the rest home - you need a big appetite!). The lovely young waitress made sure that everything was fine for us and was so friendly and welcoming. See you Friday coming

Friendly atmosphere, pleasant staff and good service

Punching way above it's weight, this was a lovely pub. It has a local pub feel but the food and beer are great, easily standing shoulder to shoulder with some of the gastro pubs of Leeds. The pie I had seems home made and the beer was lovely, with great table service. We will certainly be coming again.

Excellent food, staff and chilled

Called in for lunch, as it’s dog friendly. The guy taking the orders was friendly and helpful throughout. The drink prices are normal, definitely average for the area. The food was delicious, cooked well, good portions and not expensive. Recommended if you’re in Saltaire and need a place to eat/drink, right next to the river and canal.

It was a little bit cold so bi folding door not open on to the riverside so no real atmosphere. Just a lot of noise and the decor doesn't give ant reference to being nautical quite bland really 🤔 .

Security guard was rude and wouldnt let my daughter use the toilet when i was sat outside waiting for my drinks🤬.

This recently refurbished traditional pub and restaurant is located in Saltaire between the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and River Aire. It offers lovely views across the river to Roberts Park. The saff are friendly and helpful and the quality of the food and drink are excellent.

Very expensive beer and cider. Rosie rhubarb cider £6 a pint!! Best get Saltaire Blonde £4.60

Came down 2 nights ago about 7.45pm to have a meal,got told they had stopped serving food 5 mins ago,its advertised food served till 8.pm,was very disappointed,no reason from staff why there was no food and staff were not very friendly,here on holiday and wont be back

Expensive drinks. £8 more here for 4 drinks than we paid in any pub all weekend. Sat outside on a lovely hot sunny day but due to the shade of the trees it was really cold. Dirty tables full of empty glasses and bottles. Not for me.

Good food good service and a good atmosphere and good surroundings

Good beer, Wetherspoons level food. Fish was 90% overdone batter, spam fritters were soggy, chips were ok. Overdone dried out veg, cheese and onion pie was ok, good pastry.

Excellent food and staff. Very nice location next to Robert and very picturesque. Would deffo recommend booking in advance to ensure you aren't disappointed.

Visited here on a holiday to the Yorkshire Dales. Wonderful location, friendly staff, great welcome, and great service.

We hadn't booked but 8 of us had lunch here. All meals arrived together and we all really enjoyed all our food. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient and we agreed we were all impressed. I would definitely recommend this riverside pub which also has outdoor seating.

It's £6.50 for a pint of Moretti and attracts the kind of crowd that thinks queuing single file at the bar is the correct way to do things.

Took over 15 minutes to get served at the bar with 3 people queuing, then proceeded to wait 45 minutes to an hour for some cheesy fries and halloumi fries, poor selection of lager bottles available also. Wouldn't say the place was overly busy when we arrived considering they had 3/4 members of staff on the bar and at least 2 other staff members collecting glasses/walking around. When he finally brought the food over, he said that he didn't write our number down which is why our food took so long but never apologised just said thank god that he found us. The menu is very basic and really poor service pretty much self service as you have to go back inside to get your own cutlery etc and dispose of your own food etc. Whilst we were sat down outside we heard multiple people complaining and by the time we'd received our food, a guy on the next table was complaining about there not being service outside anymore to which an older staff member replied that it's busy and told them that they now couldn't have food at all outside. Rude staff, food wasn't anything spectacular for the prices, poor service and atmosphere wasn't great, Won't be returning.

Really nice restaurant on the banks of the river overlooking Roberts park. Good to relax after a walk or bike along the canal, with loads of seating and outdoor space.

Highly recommend the burger and fries meal here. The fries were beyond divine. The staff are friendly and helpful, there's a gorgeous view from the waterside tables and the place itself is very comfortable. Will definitely return.

This pub has been my "local" for over a year now and I love it. George and all the staff at endlessly friendly, the steak pie is the best I've ever had and the location/Outlook onto the river is gorgeous. Best option in Saltaire....

First time I have been there. A good place to eat with friends or just a couple. Also a place to relax and chat. Loved it. Definitely go again.

Just returned home from Boathouse after having family meal. Excellent food and service. Sunday roast was superb, huge Yorkshire's. Fish and chips excellent, fish was so fresh, even the child portion. My granddaughter gave chocolate brownies 5 stars! Overall everything was spot on, we were well looked after, food was so good. Highly recommend the boathouse.

Ordered the roast beef sandwich which came with fries and horrible, cheap shop bought coleslaw. I was amazed when the sandwich arrived it wasn’t cooked beef from a joint, but cheap thin tasteless slices you get from a pack, awful.

We have visited Saltaire on many occasions but never eaten here before. Mistake!! A nice welcome, food freshly made and a lovely view of the river. Enjoyed it and that’s the reason to return isn’t it??

Food was good, I had a beef and horse raddish sandwich. Just too much horseraddish sauce for me, but it was homemade and yum.

Visited the Boathouse inn restaraunt in Saltaire recently for the first time in January 2024 with my Husband and Father. Lovely setting by a river with outside seating area for food & Drinks, will be perfect in the warmer months. We sat inside at a table by the window with a pleasant view of the River Aire, cosy atmosphere,Staff were attentive and friendly. We chose 2 Sunday roast dinners and 1 chicken & Leek Pie with chips & Peas.. We ordered 2 roast Pork dinners but received 2 Beef dinners.. couldn't be bothered to ask to change them, Beef isn't my favourite meat and was a bit fatty, vegetables seemed to be frozen not fresh.. Roast potatoes were OK.. a lovely Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Didn't have desserts as we were too full. Drinks average price. Unfortunately there isn't a Carpark so my 86 year old father and myself walked inside first to our booked table whilst my husband parked the car on the road..wasn't too far from the restaurant. Will visit again.

Had loaded fries with cheese £5, I added chilli for an extra £1. Glass of soda water £1. Large portion very nice only downside was it was a bit dry even with the chilli on top.

Super dog and child friendly, great spot by the river. I think it might be under new ownership as much nicer than previously. Great value menu and generous portions.

Shouldn't have to pay extra for peas for fish/chips .the chips were very poor .The waitress was very helpful and offered a complimentary drink and deducted the peas off the bill .at 13.00pds quite expensive. Plus drinks are very expensive.

Had a great meal there when visiting Salt's Mill. Service was superb, pleasant and speedy despite the place was packed. Food was excellent and we left stuffed. I would recommend the baked feta, I didn't know what to expect at first, but if you like feta then try it, it was a lovely surprise.

Visited on a Wednesday night so a little quiet but the food was beautiful, we were provided with Christmas crackers although we weren't eating from the Christmas menu. Will definitely visit again.

Visited last night 16/12 for our office Christmas meal and gathering. Food was excellent - quality, presentation and portions. Drinks were also good. The venue looks to have been refurbished, is spacious and well lit. A great experience and highly recommended.

The manager was miserable We spent in excess of £600 Bar staff were good but management should not be in hospitality Doesn’t deserve to continue in business This is the problem these days management are not commercial and do not deserve to survive in business If Jas is owner Shame on you if not owners need to source new manager as I would not invest in a miserable manager such as Jas There was 12 in our party and none of us will ever return as long as Jas is involved complete waste of space and completely out of his depth . If he is the owner God help him as he will be bankrupt in next 12 months so good luck !! We went to alternative bar spending an additional £400 and felt appreciated We are always looking to spend money locally rather than travelling into Leeds / Harrogate but as long as local bars / restaurants employ amateurs such as Jas we will have no alternatives .

Nicely redecorated, enjoyed the food. The area towards the rear of the building is quite cold. Other areas had an open fire which felt more comfortable. Would definitely go again.

Sometimes it shuts early, so if you fancy a pint after 8.30 you might have a wasted trip. Also beer is pretty expensive. There's no disability access so if you're in a wheelchair, forget it. Apart from that it's a nice location on a sunny day and dogs are welcome.
