Carinissimo Tea Garden aperto da una arzilla signora che evidentemente ha pensato di mettere a frutto le sue doti di brava massaia in una maniera semplice eppur geniale trasformando il giardino di casa in un localino delizioso. Panini, torte, zuppe: tutto e' fatto in casa (proprio nella cucina della casa padronale!) e servito a prezzi contenutissimi ai numerosi ospiti spossati giacche' reduci dalle lunghissime passeggiate che la zona ispira. Una gemma!

Caminando por la Great Glen Way entre South Laggan y Fort Augustus nos encontramos esta pequeña tetería encantadora - parecía un enorme jardín cobertizo a primera vista! Está muy bien situado, justo al lado de la carretera principal y próximo al swing bridge así que tenía unas vistas maravillosas. Había una zona exterior para sentarse, sin embargo decidimos sentar dentro. Nosotros pedimos té y scones con mermelada y nata que trajeron a rápidamente - taza de té y obviamente los bollos caseros y deliciosa. No mire un menú aunque creo que sopa estaba disponible y el precio era excelente - 5 libras para el té y scones para 2 personas. La señora también algunos pequeños fragmentos de información local y era amable y acogedor, sin duda parada en aquí de nuevo si estábamos en la zona.

Popped in here recently on a trip through Wick to Dunnet Head - Got a cheese & tuna toastie and a latte which were both excellent. Owners were really friendly and the price reasonable considering the location - Have a feeling they could charge 2/3 times the price - being on the NC 500 - but choose not to. Will certainly return.

4 Cameron SquareThe food and service were very disappointing. We were waiting for our starters for an hour, but instead they brought our main course. The table was booked at 7:30, and our starter was served at almost 9 pm. In the past, we enjoyed Garrison West restaurant and ate there frequently. It's unfortunate that it's now Grannog@Garrison West, not just Garrison West restaurant.

West Argyle Street, Ullapool ScotlandWe went for takeaway before getting ferry to Stornoway. Ordered an egg roll and bacon and egg roll. On opening when we got to our car we could not believe how poor they looked. Toasted stake rolls, overdone fried eggs and overdone bacon. Will not go back to this cafe again!

191JX Meikle FERRY Meikle Ferry StationVisited today and ordered 2 drinks and 2 steak pie dinners. Service was fine but we could not eat the food. The meat was inedible. We couldn't cut it never mind chew it. The young waiter returned it to the kitchen, returned to apologise and agrred with us. Then he said there will be no charge... ....... really. Why would we pay when we had no food. Left and went elsewhere.
