Good service good food and a good selection of drinks

Worst roast dinner ever! Food came out stone cold so I took food back to the bar. It got reheated and came back hot but was soggy and not nice atall. In that time 4 others had sent back roast dinners. No offer of a refund or anything. Staff were also miserable. Will definitely not be going back! Disgusting!

The waitress was lovely but the food was poor. I had a burger and there isn't much you can get wrong with a burger, but I was mistaken. it was actually stone cold. It was brought back to me warmer and the waitress said she would call the manager but he didn't turn up. Sorry, I won't be coming back. The other meals were only adequate.

Have recently moved into the area and thought I'd give Brewhouse a go. Have visited other premises in the past and I liked their beer selection and food. Went with my dog at around 2 o'clock and glad to see that dogs were welcome! Greeted with a Burger,fries and pint deal for £12.95 Monday-Friday (hell yeah). Service was very fast and friendly. Beer was lovely with many others to choose from! Burger was brilliant quality with a lovely chargrilled taste. For a burger, fries and a pint for £12.95 can't go wrong! Will certainly visit again as only 1/2 mile walk from my house. Thank you Brewhouse will come again!

We were in the area and popped by for an impromptu latish lunch. We were tempted by the Burger and a Pint for £12.95 offer, Mon-Weds. We both had the cheeseburger which really great, really tasty, two beef patties, cheese sauce, cheese, lettuce, pickles, burger sauce and plenty of chips. With a beer and a coke (for the driver). The atmosphere was nice, with a good soundtrack playing. We had the dog with us so we sat in the bar area and ordered at the bar. Service was nice from Sophy. Nice clean toilets. All in all very good value and would recommend it.

Ian, the new general manager is a lovely guy and settling in nice, along with the lovely Ellie and Iqbal, a great evening had by all.

Amazing food, bad service sadly. Is is a review for the restaurant. The food was absoluetly amazing! 10/10. However the server must have been the stroppiest server i have ever had. Took 20 mins to ask us for drinks in a (almost) empty resturant before even ordering starters. Barely said a word, only said "Drinks", "Starters?", "Desert or Bill?" etc. When the food arrived and was glorious, highly reccomend the garlic and beer cheese flatbread. I was annoyed about the forced tip / service charge as i didnt feel the server deserved it at all. However I wasnt going to say that to his face which is why i went through with it. I assume thats why they do it this way.... annoyingly service is a big part for me when going to a resturant so thats why its a 3 not 5.

Food portion sizes are extremely small for the price & drinks on the expensive side. I had a mixture of sides & had the Halloumi fries, wow what a small portion!!!! £7 for a few shrivelled up pieces of Halloumi. I did mention to the staff & they said 'that's the portion size' they couldn't do anything about it, not even adding a few extra pieces!!! Won't be eating there again. Great atmosphere, lots of space inside & outside to sit but not worth spending money on the food.

Went with my friend, had 2 drink each, she had a chicken dish that was £16 & I had a selection of sides, 1 of them was the Halloumi fries, well what a disappointment they were! £7 for a few shrivelled up pieces, I did mention this to the staff & the manager came over & said 'that's the portion size, I have mentioned this to higher up' I did ask if I could get some more on the house because of the small portion but he said no! I have my own food retail business & that is not good customer service & the quality & portion size of the food is appalling. Overall we spent around £80 which was money down the drain!! Either lower the prices or increase the portion size. Great atmosphere, loads of space inside & outside for sitting but wouldn't eat here again I'm afraid.

We were greeted nicely and shown to our table. Table for two but a very tight squeeze and wobbly table. Order taken, asked for cauliflower cheese side, waitress checked with kitchen and was told they weren't doing it today. We ordered the 3 meat roast and the beef. No sign of the roasted red onion as advertised with the beef. The Yorkshire pudding was just an embarrassment - flat burnt on top and nearly raw underneath! I had 2 oblongs of overcooked beef on my plate. The potatoes were awful. I know we were at what was probably the end of the roast service but if you can't deliver the same standard throughout the day then maybe limit the time you serve the roast. I'm pretty sure I was overcharged as well but didn't realise this until we were home 20 miles away. Wish we had used one of the over eateries around the square.

Really good beers, if a little expensive. The food is pretty good too. Update: popped in for a couple of happy hour drinks, which, along with the provided board games, made for a nice way to spend an hour or two of an afternoon

Came for the rugby last weekend and had a great time. Good atmosphere, decent food, our server Lauren was very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much to ask. Will definitely be back!

Nice atmosphere with great choice of beers

Had booked the brew experience for international women’s day for myself and my daughter. Unfortunately the brewer called in sick the day before. I got a call informing me of this and was advised they would offer us a meal and beer each. Food was great and we were treated really well! Hopefully next year we’ll get to experience the brew day Thanks to all the staff who were extremely polite and hospitable

I ordered the Sunday lunch (pork belly) on the 2nd February and was very disappointed. The Pork was either overcooked or re heated as it was very dry and there was no way I could eat the crackling as it was too tough not crackly at all. The roast potatoes had seen better days as they were again overcooked or re heated (for about the 3rd time). The staff were very friendly and dealt with my complaint sympathetically. I won't be going back!

£7 a pint! Holy hell! I've had cheaper drinks in London! Do not recommend!

Really gone downhill. 15 minute wait to be served and had to chase each course, food was cold, we were the only people in the restaurant.

Went in for a pint at 10.30 on a Tuesday and they wouldn’t serve me because they shut the bar because there were ‘only 10 people in’. I know loads of pubs that would love to have 10 people in on a Tuesday night. The bar did t look shut, all lights were on. Instead of just pouring me a pint and accepting my money, they just decided that was that. One member of staff was sat at the bar with a computer could have served me but he couldn’t be bothered. Massively disappointing after a long day at work and I just wanted a quick beer or two

Went there for a date night yesterday and they had a fantastic deal on for a burger and a pint. We also had desert and all the food was delicious, staff very welcoming and attentive. We had a lovely time

Just stopped for drinks on a couple of nights and it was lovely. Staff are really brilliant and helpful. The beers are very nice and the variety was refreshing! Board games available for kids (and adults!) to play with was very welcome.

Had a lovely meal here, the building and restaurant was spacious clean and friendly atmosphere, we were shown to our seats straight away and offered drinks. The waiting staff were very friendly and quick to serve our food. Hats off to the best chef ever though - food came out super hot, so tasty and my eyes were definitely bigger than my belly i wanted to try it all, so tasty - even my fussy son eater eat it all! Highly recommend.

Ellie was attentive and accommodating, our food was delicious, we had one small issue with miscommunication whilst ordering but it was dealt with extremely professionally, would definitely come again!

Friendly atmosphere and fab food and drink but staff not professional. We booked to have the Sunday carvery for the 2nd time but this time when we got there they had stopped doing the carvery so we went to Pizza Express and has lovely food and service. The worst thing was the unprofessional manner to deal with the problem.

Went here with 5 other family members. Mac n cheese was fine, burger was good but steak frites was very overcooked. Calamari was not great. Service was slow and not attentive. Cool decor though. Burgers are a safe bet but rest of menu appears to be a minefield. Adequate at best, food nothing special.

Had xmas day dinner here yesterday. Food was lovely and the staff were amazing considering it was xmas day and I'm sure they had their own families waiting for them. Thank you .

Christmas day lunch we arrived early but our table was ready, staff friendly and attentive. Starter was very nice, turkey lunch although pleasant could have been so much better roast potatoes looked deep fried, veg very chunky so wasn't crispy or looked glazed on outside sprouts very large again loses flavour turkey/pigs in blankets nice.Gravy easy to make from scratch should be tasty not too thick and only small amount over main dish. As a aged working in restaurants over many years make sure guests have plenty of sauces more gravy offered or a small bottle of gravy added turkey can be bit dry if lacking gravy but it was hot. Cheesecake looked great with chocolate top but asked for pouring cream which should have been offered wasn't available that made eating dessert becoming dry as chocolate was very thick. Toilets each time I've visited have either lack of tissue or soap must be checked every hour during opening hours a must. If I offered advice place Veg in separate dish put meat n roasts PIB on main plate with small amount of gravy then guest offered more gravy so chef doesn't make that decision on how much and it will stop lunch looking like school dinners. And make table look fuller and appealing. Also 10% service charge on top of bill .

Had our Christmas party there. Food was pre-booked which was helpful as we didn't have to wait too long to be served even though it was very busy. They also came out and called our names to give us the food which was great. The atmosphere was good, although a little loud, but being so busy you would expect that. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was tasty but there were a couple of little issues such as massive sprouts which were still hard and difficult to cut in half and the roulade for pudding was just a small slice in the middle of a large plate, no cream or anything and looked like no effort had been made whereas the other puddings were bigger and better presented. Didn't spoil our night though and would go there again.

We recently had out Christmas Party here and had the best time, they hosted 48 of us, the food was lovely and staff were efficient, polite and friendly. Thank you to all the staff

I attended a works Christmas meal tonight and our party was seated in the bar area which was over crowded. We had to shout to hear each other. Our table was segregated into a circular and rectangular table set for ten people which meant couples were separated on separate tables. This wasn't conducive for good business relations nor enjoyable for those attending. The meal was half an hour later than the original time booked for the meal. This meant the entire evening, already late, was pushed back another half an hour. 9pm is far too late for beginning of a three course meal. We were booked in and had prearranged meals, so our meals should have been timely in accordance with 830pm starting. My starter bread was burnt so had to be replaced, another party member had the same but didn't complain. The brussels were solid (uncooked) and carrots hard.. never a good start... The turkey was stringy and the red cabbage was pickled rather than soaked in red wine sauce for a roast dinner. So basically the only redeeming factor was the roast potatoes. The desert was by all intents bland and forgettable. I'd rather forget the entire meal. I'm sorely disappointed.

Came in last night for birthday drinks, always love the vibe in there and atmosphere. Prices aren’t too bad either! Great birthday x

A fantastic work Christmas lunch!

Very disappointed with the food, microwaved pie lumpy mash, the ale wasn’t much better.

Works Christmas Party of 20 people, good atmosphere, staff really helpful, table set up nicely for us, food delivery very sporadic from starters onwards, some arrived cold, food tasted ok, nothing special some of it bland, portion size EXTREMELY small, nearly all that attended complained that they were still hungry after the meal which is not something you want to hear after the company paying best part of £1000 for the staff to have a 3 course meal in this current financial time!

Very poor service, and the whole pub is very badly managed. Some of the beers were undrinkable because when the kegs start running out, they start combining old beer with new. Toilets - very dirty :( altogether, would not recommend at all

Front of house, very rude and unwelcoming! In a half full restaurant he stated there would be a delay on service because of a large booking. I explained we had booked a table in advance. He continued to say they were a priority because they booked at least a month ago… bad attitude. Food was mediocre

Nice pub, spacious, greeted upon arrival with 'would you like water' which arrived quickly, we then ordered and not too long a wait. food was good especially the chips. Staff very nice dreadful coffee sadly

Had supposedly haddock fishcakes but never found any fish, just potato. For £15 2 'fishcakes' on a bed of lettuce leaves and quarters of sun dried tomatoes it was disgraceful and vastly overpriced. And, had to pay £4.50 for a portion of fries!! Will definitely not be going there again.

We went for a gin tasting session and lunch. We weren't sure what to expect and we were very happy with the experience. Steven, was our host, and spent a good hour and a half with us. He explained the history of gin and then took us through tasting 5 different gins, neat, with ice and with a little tonic. We really enjoyed it, fantastic. The food was also very good. Homemade burger and fish and chips. I thoroughly recommend this experience, I am going to book the ale tasting experience. Many thanks to Steven and the other staff.

We had a booking for the Beer masterclass and I must admit my expectations were low. Thought we’d get a typical “this how we make beer” with a couple of glasses. Really pleasantly surprised by the explanation of how they brew, some of the challenges, and 8 different ales and lagers - all very ‘craft’ with good explanation of the characteristics and how they managed them. Steve the manager was excellent- very engaging and knowledgeable, patient with questions and cheerful. A real credit the business. Learned a lot and enjoyed myself and will certainly look these puns up and make a deliberate choice to visit them - in Dorchester or wherever they open next. I had a great time, topped off with a burger. Would definitely visit again.

Decided to come to brewhouse as it was close to where we needed to go. We sat outside in the sun.. there are loads of choices on the menu but I decided to go for the bang bang chicken wrap.. The chef came over to speak to me and my friends as I had some questions about the ingredients that was in the dish and Shaun was very helpful and attentive. Made it easier to go for what we wanted too.

Excellent experience from start to finish great service and food 10/10 compliments to the chef and well done to all that served us on the day!

Met up with my wife and her work colleagues fir an early evening meal and a few drinks. The service was good, efficient and very friendly. The food was served quickly, it was hot and plentiful.

Vegetarian burger was not available, only told when trying to order. Drinks took far too long to arrive, gluten free menu was given to one of our group as she is gluten free , she asked for a pudding on there which was bakewell tart & the server told her it was not on his machine!? After a long conversation I had to suggest the server go & check with the kitchen . Honestly you need to give better training to your staff on how to provide customer service. Disappointing & would avoid

Bobbed in for a drink & asked for an alcoholic free lager. Luckily they had one on tap but had to wait whilst the barrel was changed. Consequently, my pint had a watery taste to it. I asked for a replacement but instead of getting a courteous reply I was told that alcoholic beer tastes like that. No hint of an apology. I insisted on getting a replacement pint which I eventually got, still no apology from the (head) barman. This time the beer tasted fine. Luckily I won’t need to go back. Poor service and poor customer relations.

We were really looking forward to our lunch. Unfortunately it wasn’t great. We had the roast dinner. Looked amazing. Lovely big home made Yorkshire but I’ve never known any roast dinner to have any sort of spice to it! Also when we left we realised we’d been charged for the kids roast that was supposed to be free. Place is lovely. Would go back for a drink but don’t think I’d eat there again.”

A nice setting, friendly staff and excellent food and drink.

We stopped here on a busy Saturday lunchtime as a party of 6 and were seated quickly by a very helpful and friendly waitress. Food was pretty good, although the chicken schnitzel was rather well done. Lovely atmosphere and staff.

Me and my dad did the brewery experience yesterday with Ian. It was brilliant definitely would recommend for a must do. We had a lovely bacon roll and coffee to start are day. Then Ian there head brewer. When through the day what we will be doing. It was an amazing experience to see what happens in making. We had lots of drinks to and a lovely lunch. Ian was a brilliant host an DC made a day brilliant thank you

Lovely witch service, Rory and Speed (sp?).

£18 for a rib….. dry and tough to chew. What a rip off. I expected a small rack of ribs that had been cooked in a sauce to make it moist….. replaced by a macaroni cheese that was poorly seasoned and had a tasteless cheese. I’ll not be dining here again. There are better outlets 2-3 min walk away. and the waitress was too busy on her laptop and talking to friends to be really bothered. Fortunately the waiter was much better at service…..

Lovely place to stop for a beer, enjoyed following the Euros here. A big range to choose from from stouts to ciders and everything in between.

We came into the bar last night for a beer and was greeted by Iqbac Ahmed. I'd like to draw your attention to his incredible professionalism, and service. quite outstanding. He was very knowledgeable about the beers, very helpful and very in and polite. He was fun to talk to and made a massive effort which i felt necessary to inform you of. Very very meat heavy food menu, barely any vegetarian options let alone vegan.

We stopped by on the way through Dorchester and we were not disappointed. The beer and food were delicious. The wife and I had a roast which was lovely and the others had different burgers all lovely. It all arrived at the same time and was to a decent standard.

Awful place , after having to choose twice a different drink and dish as apparently when waitress comes up (after while ) you hear - sry we don’t have this or that anymore/ well why is there foods and drinks on Menue if not served anymore ?! Food absolutely over priced and blunt

Very nice evening made very welcome by our host Charlotte during a busy time due to the Euros. Maybe they should provide more chips with the meal than I have fingers on my hands. Otherwise excellent

Ate there two nights in the row, thought the food for a branded pub was really good, i had the ham croquettes each night, the beef burger and the beef pie staff very helpful, especially young Sam, given the right encouragement for progression I am sure he could go far and be an asset to your business

With all the emphasis on under sering on pints in the news. You would think thatvpubs would be hot on it today. But unfortunately the brewhhouse in Dorchester is still persistent at serving less than a pint of beer. It may well be tasty but it would be good to actually receive a full pint. They are always bad at serving a full pint.

Really good deal on Mondays. Burger, fries and a pint of craft beer. Very enjoyable.

Beer ok, food absolute garbage. I had the pork belly, it would be better used as a doorstop it was so overcooked. Wont be going there again

As a former employee of The Eldridge Pope brewery for 20 years i have to say the beers that i sampled were excellent.

Lovely venue for a get together of old workmates. Friendly staff and all our food was served at the same time (11 of us). Limited vegan options. Choice of 2 main courses and no dessert. Wasnt busy which is what we needed. We made our own atmosphere.

The food was nice, we each had a burger and really enjoyed them. Unfortunately there was no atmosphere at all, we were there at lunchtime. Although the staff were friendly no-one seemed overly happy so there was no real feeling of being welcome. We went elsewhere for a drink after lunch.

The food was terrible, shouldn’t call themselves Kitchen. No atmosphere as it was empty apart from us. What a shame it obviously has potential

Dog friendly, which was nice. We had fish and chips and pie and mash. It was not great. The pie was a generic, mass produced one. The mash was gloopy and heavy. The veg was kale on its own. The fish was small and greasy. The chips were undercooked. If you want good pub food, find somewhere else.
