Good choice for breakfast. Staff very helpful. Nothing too much trouble when asking for assistance. Our experience here was really positive

Absolutely appalled by the way this place has run down. We come at least once or twice a year and this year totally disgusted me. We stayed in the hotel which was fine but the restaurant oof. We were having dinner and we were joined by ants all over the floor and the table. The food was horrid also. Dad had a fish and it was burnt to a crisp and my brother had a pizza that would knock you out if it hit you on the head. The toilets oof they’re the worst. Broken toilet seats,pee over them, and not to mention the pee filled carpets that your feet sticks too. The staff always moaning everytime we come. There’s only one guy we like and he’s lovely to us but the rest are just sour faced especially the thin manager guy with the black hair. We were there 2 days and the first day We came for breakfast and the bananas were totally blackened and again joined by ants. Safe to say I didn’t come for breakfast on the second day and I lost my 22 pound for myself and my husband. Disgrace btw the place needs closed down and I’m sure it’s not far from it. CLOSE IT DOWN or use it for the boats only.

Breakfast for 2 adults and 4 kids! Staff here are brilliant with the little monsters and when there was something that wasn’t out for breakfast the amazing James surprised the kids and found an alternative! Friendly staff, great food and atmosphere - we will be back! Thank you x

Hi we’re staying in the adjacent premier inn the evening before boarding the Fred Olsen cruise liner for our cruise we had our evening meal in the brewers Fayre and also our breakfast the following morning before getting into the ship. Both visits were fantastic with great staff and value for money. James, Susan, Kieron and Jessica w are a credit to your company!!

Was staying on business at the premier and dined at brewers! James and the team are great! Couldn’t fault service food and drink! Even taking time out to chat when busy! Made everyone feel welcome!

The food was terrible. The mash was clumpy and horrible was definitely not made from scratch.The vegetables were hard can clearly tell they were frozen and the gravy was like water. Paid £31 was disgusting will not be returning.

I’ve been here twice in the last 2 weeks, once on a quiet Monday and once on a busy half term lunchtime. Both times the staff were just amazing. So kind and patient with all the kids (including mine, sorry) running around all over the place, smiley and hardworking. Thanks so much for making it a place where it’s possible to come and hang out with the kids in a relaxed way.

As a group of 6 we could not of asked for better service . Plenty of choice on the menu, meals arrived promptly and friendly staff Graeme and Susan provided great customer service. Will definitely return!

Having visited this pub a couple of years ago while working in North Shields I made shore we staying near buy. The pub is clean bright and very friendly. The food for pub grub is good and filling I tried the lasagna, curry and gammon all tasty and leaving me full and satisfied. All in all a good place to visit.

I am a regular here for Sunday lunch but visited on 22 December very little meat said 3 slices but the gammon was minute and half of the slice was fat poor selection of vegetables no Brussels no cauliflower cheese just carrots parsnips pea’s cabbage and carrot mash so only had cabbage and peas roasties soft and soggy very disappointing for the money I know of better value carvery’s in the area I don’t normally write negative reviews but felt this had to be said and the chef was miserable

Had the pâté and Turkey dinner off the festive menu. It was extremely tasty and a lot of food!! I would definitely recommend this Brewers Fayre. All the staff were polite and helpful.

This Brewers fayre is always clean and tidy. Staff friendly and welcoming. Nice kids area for families. We stay at the premier inn next door quite often and normally choose to have a meal or breakfast here when staying.

Called in for a bite to eat last night. We visit fairly regularly. Rob had a pizza and a sundae, I had a chicken salad. Food was good, and James, Chris and the crew friendly and helpful as ever. Thanks guys, will be back.

We stayed at the premier Inn for one night before boarding our cruise up the Norwegian Fjords and the Brewers Fayre Royal Quays was where we had dinner the night before & breakfast in the morning. The bar staff in the restaurant were excellent, they were all really friendly & welcoming but especially Jason who made a big fuss of my dad for his 80th birthday. He got some other guests, who were coming on the same cruise as us, to join him in singing happy birthday to my dad & presented him with a Chocolate sundae with a candle in it. He bought my dad a pint for his birthday and he gave him a wee box of chocolates. It was very special & really made my old dad feel great. Thank you

Kids meal weren't very good at all , full of chip ends n burger bun was hard for a 4 year old . Not worth the money. They don't serve decaf tea either . So I took my own flask n own decaf tea bag and staff noticed and told me not to do it again and didn't give me a chance to explain .

I took someone there for lunch and the service I received was impeccable especially from Jason. I asked if there was any chance to be served at the table and he happily obliged. He even refilled my drink half way through without me even asking. It made the experience great. The food was great too and came without delay. We only had one meal this time but it made me realise how good the weekday offer of 2 meals for £10.99 is. Thank you so much to Jason and the team!

Great staff lovely managers and staff - kind , friendly, great service, clean massive restaurant. Had evening meal and breakfast as stayed at premier inn next door. Was great for us with little ones as we were here for an Irish dance festival close by

We have visited here for two days whilst staying nearby. The staff, despite being extremely busy, have been nothing but professional, friendly and very helpful. The food and service has been good. Would definitely come back as our previous visit last year was just as good. Thank you to all the staff for your hard work.

Been here a few times with my 2 grandsons and its been ok.......today's visit was absolutely terrible. Ordered 3 adult burgers at £12.50 each, and a child pizza. The pic of the burger looked nice, but once we bit into the burgers we realised they were burnt, black on the outside and not cooked in the middle, we told the girl manager who apologised & said we will refund you......we left our drinks which we had paid for and had to now pay again somewhere else.....we went to the till which they refunded for just the burgers.....I've been told they should of refunded the full meal, but didn't. I've been told the place has really gone down hill...... It's just convenient having a soft play for the kids. I've you haven't been before, please don't waste your money, terrible food & miserable staff..

Visited with friends for food and drinks, drinks reasonable food was of a good standard, we did not all eat together due to other commitments which was no issue to the team. We were served by Susan, Kieran, Chris and Jess, all team were friendly and no request was an issue. We would definitely recommend to friends and family

Jason and the team are friendly, helpful and attentive, even though we arrived on a Thursday night and late on due to travel issues. Food was great and very tasty, but the choice limited for my wife. Both the Premier Inn and Brewers Fabre are ideally located for the Newcastle international cruise terminal. Great stay thank you all.

I was in your pub on Saturday after spending the day out for my granddaughters 8 th birthday. There was 6 of us including a baby. We ordered food at the table we were placed at. There was a table next to us which had 2 females 2 males and a child about 5 ish. I have never felt so humiliated and upset 😠 n my life. They were all talking loudly about their court hearings and having their door kicked in by the police for drugs they had ordered from America. Two of them were sitting vaping at the table and when I looked at them one of the females started abusing me shouting that if was only a vape and who did I think I was to look at her and she would take me out. They all swore every other word even with their child there. We had to take our children out of the soft play because of this child being so aggressive to my grandchildren and he wasn’t supervised. The staff though were informed of their behaviour did not once approach them to ask them to stop this behaviour. We eventually left before finishing our meal because of the intimidation from them. This family was the scum of the earth and allowed to carry on I will not be back at all to this place and I will make sure this all over social media that you promote this behaviour. I am absolutely discussed and feel totally violated at their actions

When for Sunday carvery, it was absolutely awful, mash potato was like glue, couldn't even get it out the serving pot, roasties were hard and not cooked properly and the gravy was like water. Worst Sunday lunch I've ever had!!!

We visited twice, before and after a mini cruise trip and on both occasions found the place to be clean, staff friendly, efficient and accommodating, nice atmosphere and would definitely visit again when back up that way.

Food was luke warm and full of chip ends and when asked to change the chips the cook just added more on the top . Kids meal got about 4 well done hard chips. Portion sizes for the price aren't great at all .

Friendly staff. But despite being quiet. Service was slow. We waited over 40 mins for 2 kids puddings. Food was Luke warm. Mostly i believe from watching service the bell In the kitchen went and no one served it out. Such a shame as it could really bring a lot to the are but sadly we won’t ve returning.

Came for the carvery and all the staff was super polite and very helpful. Plenty of selection of meats and veg and I really enjoyed it. Even treated myself to a dessert (oops) Big high 5 to the manager that gets stuck in and interacts with the customers and a big thank you to all staff that made my visit a happy one

Really love this place, staff are lovely and can have a great laugh with them. Feels so friendly and homely, one of my go to places with my children who love the environment and company, food is lovely and top notch compliments to the chief, and all the staff.

Went for sunday carvery very disappointed. We have been many times for Sunday carvery but yesterday felt like leftover christmas lunch turkey was pre sliced & not off the bone as usual the gammon was the same think that was honey roast left from Christmas, the sliced carrots were black & sprouts looked unappealing, nit the best if yesterday was my first visit I'm afraid I wouldn't go back !!!!

Just awful, food was dry not just dry actually dehydrated, must have been reheated 10 times at least. Meat overcooked and chewy , we had to eat some of it as we were all so hungry. Unsurprisingly not one member of staff came over to check how our food was. My partner complained and we were totally ignored, one waiter said he would ask the manager to speak to us. She didn’t bother, just actively avoided us with a face like a slapped backside. Just close the place down it’s disgusting, to think in 2024 that pubs think serving substandard food is ok. It’s not.

where to start with the food, the jacket potato was so microscopic that they should of supplied me with a magnifying glass to find it, you would think it been put through a tumble dryer 10 times over, not to mention the chilly that was slopped ontop of it i had better looking number 2's , the lettuce on the side hadnt been washed it was dirty & brown with the butts of the lettuce on my plate must of ran out of salad and salvaged it from the skip, , kids pizza was an eye sore it was an 18p happy shopper pizza that must of had alopecia the topping was non existent , staff were miserable not talkative just no life in any of them i felt like i was in the middle of a zombie apocalypse

I ordered the jacket potato with chilli beef, low fat sour cream, salad garnish and coleslaw. On arrival it had what looked like a thick sauce over it. Not much sign of beef. No flavour. Four kidney beans. Two slices of tomato with small amount of lettuce. Coleslaw was fine. However after I began to eat it I realised that there was no sour cream, After calling the waitress over and asking where the cream was, her reply was that there wasn't any and we should have been told that when we ordered! Totally disappointed. So much so, that I should have actually sent it back and asked for a different meal. No reduction for lack of cream as stated in the menu, and certainly no beef in the sauce. I won't be eating there again that's for sure.

7 of us went for Christmas Day lunch it was fantastic very busy but James & all the great staff were as friendly as ever they all worked so hard with smiles on there faces lovely Christmas atmosphere all our food was great excellent value for money definitely doing it next year thank you to all the staff great job

Food not the best but the staff made the night. Especially the holiday armadillo and his lego christmas tree 🎄, the lovely kiern on the bar who kept his smile through out the night. Finally James who kept us entertained with bad dad jokes and the insulting of ones Christmas tree and his tree wasnt even that good 😄. He does however need to learn how to explain the terrible jokes, but we loved the after eight mints. You made all our DREAMS come true, from your very own dream girls

First class service with a smile! Came with a party of 9 for the festive meal and had a fab night!! I Rang Up on short notice to ask if 1 more could added to the table for food, and I was accommodated with no worries.! The food was perfect! Would definitely recommend the Christmas Turkey Dinner and the pudding was a banquet of profiteroles -yum! 😋 Thanks very much to host with the most- James- who made our night a night to remember!

We have used a lot of Brewers Fayres in our time. This is up there among the best. The breakfast was hot, the staff were excellent and friendly, and the restaurant was spotless. The floor was kept constantly clean by a very happy lady and dishes were cleared as we finished Thank you all for a pleasant experience.

Off the DFDS Princess ferry on a cold and frosty December morning and straight in out of the cold for a spot of breakfast with three work colleagues, a £9.99 all in breakfast always sounds like a good enough deal. Staff were friendly and greeted us nicely upon entry, we paid upfront and got shown to our table, basically its grab a plate and help yourself to food and drink, dead simple and straight forward. Hot breakfast items were all pretty decent and there was plenty of choice to fill your plate. There’s also continental breakfast options available too but it was the hot bacon and eggs that I was after, everything else was a bonus. The Royal Quays Brewers Fayre serves up a decent enough breakfast that hits the spot, it’s worth a visit.

Star Quality service from Anthony & Graham on breakfast this morning. Strong team lead by stronger management. Good to see in a chained pub..

Excellent Halloween party all staff made an effort made sure all kids got involved food excellent all round the absolute best loved how the staff got dressed up as well, brilliant night from start to finish.

7 of us popped in today for a drink got 2 tables in the bar... went to bar to greeted by a miserable member of staff who looked annoyed that we wanted to be served... food came one by one to the table which then I had to go and find a member of staff for cutlery I found the manger leaning against table chatting which I can only assume regulars.. who then manager to find cutlery ,,, the staff and management are shocking.. serving food without cutlery really ... just rude place with a manger who hasn't got a clue by the looks of it not even busy....ace just seems so dis organised...and they hadn't even spotted to hole in the roof leaking in the middle of the bar .......been there twice both awful visits years apart,,place obviously will never change

The choice of food was standard Brewers Fayre but the experience was enhanced by the friendliness of the staff, particularly Jess W, Anthony, James and Sophie.

We visited en route to Amsterdam for my husbands 60th birthday. Jason and the team were absolutely wonderful. Attentive and caring and most definitely went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best start to our mini break. The food was superb, we have new found love of Madri 🙂, and would not hesitate to recommend the staff, food and ambiance to anyone. Thank you Jason and all the staff that made our visit so special and who made us feel so special.

Brilliant service, came here before a mini cruise to Amsterdam, the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, nothing was too much for them. Food was lovely and served very quickly. If only everywhere was like this! Hats off to them, thank you!

I am a strong believer in giving credit when credit is due. Throughout our stay in North Shields, our service was impeccable. Anthony your service was professional and charming. You are going far in the game.

Felt I needed to comment on the team working this evening. Visited lots of these type of restaurants, and while the service is usually ok. I felt tonight needed recognition. Only noticed 3 on shift, Abi, Jess W and Jess H. Was really impressed with the way they interacted with the customers, friendly, smiley service. Abi especially dealt with an awkward customer amazingly, and was always alert and looking around while doing tasks. All 3 are a credit to your organisation.

Great for meals when staying at the Premier Inn at Royal Quays North Shields. We dined there for four breakfasts and three dinners. Great good and service every time. Couldn't fault the staff. All efficient and friendly. Nothing was too much bother. Will definitely go again when visiting North Shields.

Service slow...food even worse! At NO point did food match description on menu! Food was a disgrace & in part unedible.When complaining was told would speak to chef etc and get back. 15 mins later then saw same waiter (who SINCE ive been told was a MANAGER!!) cleaning tables!! TOTAL ignored! Took ME to reignite complaints. Then he called me 'mate' .... how dare he! Food was sh##e and customer service even worse! AVOID THIS PLACE!!

Went for tea with my daughter and granddaughters and had a wonderful time.The service was exemplary and the restaraunt was immaculate with a lovely Christmas atmosphere.Food was quick and enjoyed by all. The servers couldn’t do enough to ensure my granddaughters had a lovely time, including one in a pram. Lovely Christmas music and decorations added to the atmosphere.Lovely to find somewhere so welcoming to families.

Stayed in hotel next door premier Inn 3rd 4th Dec with wife and granddaughter we ate there 2 nights for price food ok gud selection the granddaughter loved the soft drink machine as you can drink as much as you want and get your own drink

Staying at the Premier Inn, next door we had three Breakfasts here, amazing great value, well cooked and presented, staff were very friendly and helpful and great fast service from Sharon nothing was to much trouble.

Booked a trip down for a few days to start Christmas shopping and stayed at the local premier inn. Ate here on both nights and have to say food and drink was great, ace range of food and also a great drink menu including my favourite gin at a great price

Booked a couple of days in North Shields again like we did in the summer staying at the Premier Inn. Glad to report that Royal Quays is still doing a fantastic job. We ate Breakfast & Dinner on both days and couldn’t fault again. Some of the team from our previous visit were on duty again so was good to see some familiar faces. The place was really busy which is always a good sign. See you in January.

I came in with my family this month during our yearly trip to Europe. This year (regardless of the pandemic) we were fortunate enough to visit England. I was very exited to sample the British delicacy- the roast dinner. After receiving great service at the bar, we made our way to the carvery. We were greeted by a lovely young gentleman, who I later found out is called Conner. He guided us though all the many choices we could add to our meal, and offered his recommendations on the best combinations that would compliment a choice of meat (gammon and beef). To say our meal was outstanding would be an understatement. We would like to thank Conner for his hospitality and welcoming attitude. A great British roast with great British service

Whatever they is!! I explained it was wrong, the waiter apologised and took it away...However the manager came out of the kitchen some time later and I overheard her say "err, Where's this crumble going. APPARENTLY we got the order wrong!!" Clearly didn't realise I was sat so close by and heard.I double checked my receipt and I ordered correctly, their cock up. Perhaps should have checked the order before sounding off to colleagues!Again, good food though!

Spent a few days in the Premier Inn and had all our meals in the Brewers Fayre. The food was nice, the staff very friendly and attentive. Has sky sports and BT so ticked a lot of boxes. Back next week. 👍🏼

Great service from Sharon this morning. Really friendly and eager to please. Was only in for quick breakfast before heading to work and she ensured I wasn't waiting about.

Had loaded onion rings for starter, well not impressed with the very soggy oily what they call onion rings. Don't know about being loaded at all, a slice of fake burger cheese that melted to nothing and a few scraps of bacon. Won't be coming back as not worth the price they charged.

Stayed in the Premier inn and had evening meal and breakfast in the Brewers Fayre whilst working in North Shields. The breakfast was excellent with really friendly staff, Sharon looked after me extremely well and the cooked breakfast presentation from the chef Paul was something to behold

I had a superb full English breakfast this morning. I was particularly delighted by attention given to me by Sharon who looked after me perfectly.

Service from Sharon exemplary. Food of a very good standard bit noticed when I sat down that there was still food under tables where they have not been moved out to clean.

My previous visit was not a good experience (see review 8th August 2021). As you will see the Manager responded with an apology for what was a one off bad day with an invite to come back to see how things have improved.Two months on I reurned with my daughter and grandchildren and I have to say that compared with the last visit it was like chalk and cheese.The restautrant was nearly full but we were greeted immediately at the seating desk and taken to a table.We ordered from the new menu and placed our order, there was a 5 minute wait in the queue at the bar but given that the place was full this was reasonable.We ordered quite a range of things including ribs and grilled chicken and the food came out in an impressive 20 minutes.Everyone commented that the food was really good and probably the best that they had had at any Brewers Fayre.Overall a great experience, staff were attentive and friendly and Scott the Manager played his part by constantly patrolling the restaurant helping out with welcoming and seating new arrivals and with meal deliveries when he came across hot spots.Being cynical I can't be sure that the last visit wasn't a one off and that on this occassion we got special treatment due to my previously complaint but we should find out when we make our next visit which undoubtedly will be in the near future.

Took advantage of Premier Inn meal deal for breakfast and dinner. Staff were fantastic but were dealing with delivery issues and food shortages. We ate here 5 nights out of 6 so got to know regular staff who were deeply apologetic about the menu shortages. James and Andrew were both lovely.

Have just returned home having had another lovely time at the Royal Quay Brewers Fare . My wife and I chose lunch from their new menu which was packed with choice.My wife was first to try the club Sandwich ,it was delicious.A big thank you to our server Sharon and everyone else involved in making us so welcome as always .

Breakfast is absolutely amazing here. Can’t fault anything wrong with it whatsoever. Everything is cooked to perfection and everything is hot fast and very friendly service. We were served by Sharon and felt very welcome as she explained how everything worked nice and clearly in a friendly manner.

To start the service when we were sat (which took 15 minutes) and greeted by a girl called Emily with a little attitude not very well mannered. The play area needs a security guard like the byker macdonalds on a Saturday night, my kids came out of there barely breathing the scraps going on in there were like a bull seeing the colour red but other than that the food was great, especially with it picking up later on in the day, I forgot to mention my kid also got upper cutted and my 60 year old gran got dropkicked by a 4 year this has nothing to do with this place just thought I’d mention it.

My son and I visited after watching the Falcons rugby match.We enjoyed our meals and the friendly service.You didn't have any hollandaise sauce to go with my salmon but the Chef Jason kindly offered to make some from scratch and it was delicious.Joanne made us feel very welcome and we will certainly visit again when in the area.

What an amazing breakfast we had at the weekend, at the Brewers fayre, Royal Quays, North Shields. The food was absolutely delicious but better than that was the service from Lisa and Abbie, they were outstanding, attentive and friendly. They made us feel so at home as we are not from the North east. They provided an excellent service and were smiling at all times, nothing was a problem for them at all. They are a credit to your company and I would not hesitate to come back or recommend you. Thank you Lisa and Abbie so much.

Just finished a 87 mile stroll. Wonderful gammon with double eggs, and Doom Bar. Fantastic friendly, attentive service. Heidi was brilliant. 5 star

Popped into here cause our normal restaurant was full and we'll never regret it. The staff & food was excellent, a special thank you to Heidi who couldn't do enough to make us welcome and comfortable. We will be definatley revisiting with all the family, thanks once again.

Busy Friday night with a lot of non locals for what I can only imagine is for the Disney boat that’s doing the rounds. Food didn’t take long at all especially considering how busy it was and as always didn’t disappoint each and every one of you from service to food did yourself proud tonight. Great visit yet again.

Came for food with my partner on Monday night just out of the blue. We both had soup starter and sirloins. Food was fantastic beyond what we expected. Visually pleasing and went down a treat we will definitely be back. Chefs adam and dale I believe thank you for the great food and the young blonde lady who served us was very insightful. Will definitely be back!

My elderly mum and dad visited this restaurant recently they were staying at the premier inn along the road. They thoroughly enjoyed the food. They said it was delicious and well presented. They also said that the staff were all very polite, well mannered and welcoming into the restaurant. They recalled one member off staff who had brown hair with blonde streaks in it, they say that he was extremely polite and the sort of person who would go the extra mile to ensure customers are happy. They said they had a good conversation with him and he refilled their coffee for them when he 'didn't seem busy'! They definitely want to come back to the restaurant and would recommend it too everyone.

Came in today for afternoon food. Waited 8 minutes at the holding area next to the door. People were getting agitated at the lack of any form of service. A solitary person was behind the bar and he had a queue of 4 people in front of him. When someone eventually arrived I was greeted with "Mind you, it's a forty minute wait for food".......No Thank You ..... We left and went to The Wall's End. Brewers Fayre - get your act together, terrible service full stop.

We were really impressed this evening with the wonderful service we received. The staff were kind, friendly, polite and attentive. It was so nice to be served by people who weren’t fake or pretending to be nice, they seemed to genuinely enjoy their work and enjoyed the interaction with their customers. They were professional throughout, went out of their way to help and made our evening very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend a visit. Staff this evening were James, Jason, Shanise, Olivia, Sol and Sarah. I’ve been to many many restaurants and even the posh ones don’t have staff as wonderful and charming as this lot!! Wonderful evening, we’ll be going back.

We dined in this restaurant for Breakfast & Dinner while on a short break staying with Premier Inn next door. Can’t fault the place. Staff are really friendly and despite them having major issue with suppliers they kept a near to full menu throughout our stay. We preferred to sit in the upstairs section as it was a bit quieter and our kids a bit older and a table was reserved for us there every night and morning.

Fab dining and drinking experience at the Brewers Fayre Royal Quay whilst staying at Premier Inn. Staff were great especially Jess, James and Abby. Excellent value for money. Very clean and hygienic.

I had to come to Newcastle with work, I was welcomed by the staff and felt comfortable with my dinning experience over the 4 days of my visit. 1 member of staff was extremely helpful and friendly (Sarah- jane) generally the pricing was good value for your money I was however disappointed at the steak. Overall a good experiance.
