Brewers Fayre Queens Crossing in Edinburgh, City of

Stayed at the premier inn for a couple of nights and used the brewers Fayre for dinner. On both occasions, I left without receiving the pudding which I ordered and paid for. The first night, I got a rude reply from the waitress after waiting half an hour after finishing the main, only to get a rude reply. The second night, I asked for the pudding to be provided at the same time as the main, it didn’t arrive, asked a waiter and nothing happened, left after waiting a further thirty minutes. Don’t go here as you will not receive the items you have ordered and paid for.

I’ve been to a few Brewers Fayre and visited this one a few times prior to covid where the bar staff were friendly, place looked clean but this visit was by far the worst ever. Shown to our seat by a member of staff that showed no interest in customer care. As we Ordered at the bar, the female made us feel as if it was a chore! Meals arrived and one of the roast beef was inedible, it wasn’t cooked through. Will never be back.

Not a great experience. We were shown to our table but no one explained to us that it was not table service so we sat for ages waiting on someone to take our order before discovering that we had to go to the bar and order our meal. The Thai green curry came with half of the advertised ingredients missing and was pretty tasteless. A complaint was met with a shrug and 'sorry 'bout that. The breakfast was a much better experience, polite staff and the food was not too bad either.

Had Mother’s Day dinner here on Sunday, absolutely brilliant!! Just made our mums day,food and service was first class considering how busy it was..they also took the time to help us with allergy book as my Aunt had a food allergy so a massive thankyou.. we certainly will be back….

Horrendous service whole on our business trip, had to ask to be served drinks after 4 staff had passed behind the bar. Ordered meals and the desserts were somehow forgotten/not on the system even though the starters arrived which were on the same order. The management(lauren) seemed to treat us with a very poor attitude when we said that we'd reminded her staff twice about or desserts, with numerous excuses about computer problems being the issue, yet she didn't even know why she was asked to come to our table, there is obviously a massive lack of communication within the workplace. Even while this was going on the tables were being cleared of evening condiments in preparation for breakfast! The desserts were refunded by one of the staff as the manager didn't seem to want answer our questions about the shoddy service, even though she did say there was no record of our desserts being ordered!? (Part of a meal deal) This isn't the first time parts of our meals went missing in this establishment. This is a restaurant I would avoid at all costs(after the first time our meals went missing) but unfortunately we are staying at the attached premium in with no other restaurants nearby.

We have visited this restaurant before and always was fine. Visited on Sunday night for Dinner, and a member of our party was very ill on the Sunday night/Monday morning. Definitely a case of something being of with the food which made them ill, it was definitely the food that made them ill and not worth it if its going to make you be violently sick after a meal. I would probably not go back now.

Came for lunch with my partner, nice food and quick efficient service. Friendly staff and prices were reasonable. Happy.

The food was excellent, but the reason for this review is one particular staff member. Euan, is an absolute star. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He was ready to advise, and help where he could. I even asked him about liqueur coffees and he was even getting the cream for me to top our drinks. Euan is a real credit to your organization. Please make sure he gets the recognition he deserves. Thank you

We went specifically to this restaurant for the kids ear free deal with breakfast. We had booked but had to wait on a table. There didn't look like there were many staff working that Sunday morning (there were 2 on the floor). We had to ask for mugs for the hot drinks and there were no plates the toast area. When the food came it was actually very tasty and was good value for £20 for the 4 of us to eat

Over cooked starters then waited 1 hour 20 after our starters for our mains 3 staff on the bar hardly any customers and then one on the floor - I think they forgot about us however they did make plenty eye contact with us ??

I've rated this 4 star on the review as the staff in general are for the most lovely (a couple are miserable and don't want to be there!) and whilst the food is clearly made by Chef Mic(rowave) it was for the most part hot, tasty and filling. It isn't trying to be 5-star restaurant or anything like that, but just povide basic, decent, food to the passing masses. Decent selection of drinks are available I also had breakfasts here (as staying at the attached Premier Inn) which for most of my stays I missed as it didn't open early enough (opened at 06:30 on the dot, not a minute earlier (07:00 at weekends), and I was usually collect by 06:40 each day) but I did thoroughly enjoy the ones I had, even if my runny eggs were always overcooked. I prefer a self service hot counter, but this was by giving your order to one of the servers there. Coffee was available, but the thermostat needs a tweak in my opinion as whilst it was warm, it wasn't HOT. I had a number of evening meals here, namely: Mixed grill, upgraded the steak - excellent, thoroughly enjoyed Jacket potato and Chilli - Tasty but disappointing as chilli not even remotely spicy Lasagna - Was ok, nothing to write home about but hot and tasty, even if not lasagna tasty! Fish & Chips - Disappointing to be honest, wasn't awful, just expected better. Would have been nice to have the option of some curry sauce as opposed to mushy peas / peas I couldn't book a table on the Friday night, as I wasn't sure what time I was finishing work and not sure what time would get back (staying at the attached Premier Inn) and as a consequence, although it looked empty they told me that they couldn't fit me in (as a regular a small table tooked away in the corner would have been ok!)

We regularly visit The Queens Crossing for lunch, yesterday was awful. Waited 40 minutes for lunch and another 25 minutes for a chocolate sundae, which was never worth over £5. Shame, as the staff are always lovely.

I'm generally wary of pubs situated next to big hotel chains (have many bad experiences in the past), but we frequent this place semi-regularly for lunch during the week. Today, we noticed their new menu and we all tried something different and everyone came away full and happy with the meals we ordered! The staff are always friendly and accommodating!
