Brewers Fayre Preston Farm in Stockton-on-Tees

i came in for dinner with my family and i just have to say the atmosphere was incredible and i very much enjoyed the experience and the staff was also excellent, especially the staff who cleared our plates who offered us deserts and drinks, Millie, and also neve at the bar was excellent. will definitely be coming here again

We as a family are regular visitors to this restaurant for breakfast. The food is usually very good, well prepared and a pleasure to eat. The variety is there for all diets and very good value for money. The restaurant floor staff are very friendly and the managers come across as both friendly, encouraging helpful. Special mention should be made concerning Isobel, Steph & Ryan who make a great team on a Saturday morning. Not to forget Lauren and Richard who cover for absences and are a great asset to the company.

Went in to this Brewers Fayre (and have been for a few weeks now), but this time we took our visiting Swedish family with us. Di, the waitress was amazing, she went above and beyond with the table layout to ensuring our kids were fed first leading to less fuss for us parents. Food was cooked really nice (shame no black pudding or strawberry yoghurts) and I believe the chef was Ryan. Even though I didn’t see the Duty manager do much whilst I was there, he opened up the play area for our 6 kids so us adults could enjoy 5 mins of morning peace lol. Would definitely return.

Niamh made me feel very welcome when I arrived for food. When you travel for about it’s always nice to be treated well. Niamh, was great and the evening, food enjoyable. I’ll be back next time I’m here.

Isobel and Evan are the best staff ever come in for food and drinks all the time and always serve me first if am in a queue first also make mocktails for the kids and always make the kids welcome

Oh dear, poor food off the main menu and the Sunday lunch menu. The meat on Sunday lunch was fine to be fair but the veg and roast potatoes very poor, parsnips burnt, roast potatoes weren't even up to aunt Bessie standerds, dry cheap rubbish. Mash tasted cheap and manufactured variaty Main menu smothered platter was laughable, pie and chips and peas no gravy told to just go to carvary for it. Service, one lady working hard, otherwise table left for over 90 minutes after finishing not one plate cleared from from table. Toilets not great either to be honest. Play area was okay but seen better days . Two in group tried desserts, sundae was okay, choc brownie or whatever it was had cold custard, most desserts not available. Would be one star if not for the play area and the one lady whom was very pleasant sorry didn't get her name.

Well where do I start, from the moment I stepped into Brewers Fayre I was warmly welcomed and greeted professionally. I explained that I had not booked a table and was assured that was no problem at all. It was my aunties 80th Birthday and myself and my uncles were taking her out for a birthday meal, I explained that she had dementia and the staff took this into consideration when communicating with her. We were seated in a lovely quiet area and attended to all the time, even though it was extremely busy, nothing was too much bother. The food was delightful and when it came to the desserts, Stephen brought out on a large plate a brownie with a candle in the middle and a 'Happy Birthday' written on the plate with a love heart. He and the staff then started to sing Happy Birthday to my auntie, which made her cry after they had left. What a lovely, thoughtful, amazing thing to do. This is one day I will never forget, and even if my auntie does not remember it, I and my uncles will. Thank you so much Stephen and staff for a truly great lunching experience.

Came for a family meal consisting of 2 adults, 2 children and a toddler. Food and service was great especially the young man called Evan! He was very attentive and his customer service was fantastic. Evan overheard us telling the kids I think this is your deserts coming when they actually turned out to be for a larger table opposite so came over to us and asked what we were waiting for which we explained a couple of brownies from the kids menu but it's ok there's no rush I'm sure they will be out soon, he responded with I will go and find out where they are for you and within what felt like what was less than a minute everything we were waiting for was on our table. Happy parents and especially happy children. Thank you Evan for making our experience particularly enjoyable and hassle free, will definitely come again.

Was staying next door at the Premier Inn and this restaurant is literally 10 steps away. We only had drinks & desserts as we had eaten lunch earlier and were not that hungry. We ordered a chocolate sundae and a knickerbocker glory. It took about 20 minutes for them to arrive as we were not in a rush it was not too bad. There only appeared to be one waiter who was seating, bringing out food and clearing tables and there was only member of bar staff visible too. Fortunately the time were went was not too busy so the staff were coping, really not sure if there were others around and we just did not see them. The ice creams were tasty, the Knick blocker glory had lemon cake and very tart forest fruits and ice cream in layers, not normally what I associate with a knickerbocker glory. This restaurant is where you get breakfast if you are staying at the hotel next door, we did not have breakfast during our stay so cannot comment on the standard of it. This is the only restaurant in the area so if you want to drink it is your main option otherwise you will have to get a taxi. It is seems popular with locals and hotel guests and serves the usual Brewers Fayre food. If I stay again I might try the food next time

What a lovely little half way house pub for us. We tend to visit here after we've been swimming at Stockton or Darlington. I would give this 5 stars but the food is nice but nothing out of this world. The staff however and the children's play area and would be 5 star without a doubt. But shout out to Erin in the children's area who couldn't have been more attentive or on the ball and Richard the manager who was amazing sorting the babies bottle boiling for us. All of the staff were super lovely and we will definitely be back again. Have to say again the play area is great, brilliant size and free for any children under 90cm which is really unusual. My daughter was getting married at Crathorne Hall and around 40 of our wedding party had booked into Preston Farm the evening before. I arranged with the restaurant for us all to get together along with about 15 others who were staying elsewhere. They said that they would section off part of the restaurant for us, which they did and it was great. We had all pre-ordered our food and I had sent a spreadsheet with food orders, names and dietary requirements about a week before arrival. I couldn’t have been happier with how the staff organised the distribution of around 55 meals, they came out promptly, hot and everyone got exactly what they had ordered - the service was excellent and the staff friendly and very helpful. A massive thank you to Stephen, Tom, Nathan, Millie, Isobel, Sophie, Steph and Evan for making the evening before my daughter’s wedding really memorable.

Simply dreadful. Cold food. 50 minute wait for the food to arrive. No chance of a second pint. The bar was three rows deep on a Monday evening. Not because of success. More a case of a lack of staff. And the staff they do have are clearly demoralised. I could shed a tear on their behalf. Looking around, we were far from the only dissatisfied customers. The guy next to us, said, if my desert turns up, you can have it. Bless him, he gave up waiting. And I wish we had too.

Waited a while when we entered then after a bit we were told to find a table without reserved. It was easy as it was virtually empty. We got there at 6 and left about 7.50. Service was ridiculously slow. We had to wait over 30 mins after finishing main meals to get the boys children’s deserts. Also had to ask twice. Hoped to leave quite quickly but it took nearly 2 hours. Never had such slow service and it was virtually empty. Would not recommend at all.

Worst restaurant ever, went with my mam , daughter, and granddaughter, the Sunday lunch was the worst I've ever had, the mash and turnip was like slop, not a lot of choice , there was no gravy and when we asked for more to be put in tureen, it took ages so the food had gone cold , when it was brought out it was littererally like water , I complained and was told well we will give you some more meat and you can get more veg , but I had already waited in a long queue so we ate the cold food, we ordered desert which was 2 knicker bocker glory the fruit was frozen and they put lemon cake in which was that tangy it made us feel sick , my mam got jam rolly poly which was that hard she couldn't cut through it , dont go its a waste of money, would never go again

Breakfast was beautiful by Shaun and the service was brilliant by Fern and Lauren Thanks guys yet again for the great service.

Visited recently, place looks like it needs a good refurbishment, no staff, food arrived luke warm, vinegar bottles need cleaning as a worm came out of one 🤮 definitely won't be hurrying back in a flash !!

Come here with my son for a half term dinner. Had to wait 45 mins after ordering my food (which we weren’t told about at the till) and that was bad enough as my son was pretty hungry as was nearly 2pm when we did get it. Once we received it (we had ordered two smothered chickens) it looked like a child had put it together. A piece of chicken with awful saints on top and a random slice of cheese then two skinny dry rashes of bacon on top of that. Me and my son tried to eat it but didn’t enjoy it and left most of the chicken and when I raised it with someone behind the till as a compliant she just said ‘what do you want me to do about it’ I said well ‘I’m asking you for advice to help me’, she said I can’t offer you a drink as we had had a refillable drink and then said did we want a dessert I replied with well no as we were leaving and after the mess that was the chicken we didn’t want to eat anything else. She just then said well I don’t know what else to offer you, nothing about even a partial refund nothing or an apology.

Pre booked table sat 6 f us in an extremely tight space with 2 other tables either side absolutely crazy nobody could move. We moved ourselves to different area with about 15 free tables 🤷‍♀️ Told 30 to 40 min wait as only had 1 chef Soup mediocre advertisement whole bran bread is misleading they brought white stale bread when we mentioned it the waitress said ‘oh well I not work here’ we asked why no brown bread ‘no idea’ eventually after she felt it was rock hard she changed it for brown bread saying ‘I have had to use that from the breakfast’ Curry small portion rice just plonked onto side no fines at all popudum placed on curry so soggy ? Lots of sauce Barbecue Chicken was small piece few chips few peas very small portions indeed. We meet in different pubs every month we send details to friends s they can go or not this was the worse for price quality and service and no one will be returning. Food presentation poor Service poor Portions small Took 20 mins after we eaten to clear table

We visited Brewers Fayre on the 6th March for our daughters 2nd birthday party, we left it last minute to plan anything but the staff decorated the room and went above and beyond to make sure our little girl had the best time. Erin from the play area was so lovely, she couldn't help enough. We appreciate the time and effort that went into it all and couldn't be more thankful to Steph, Lindsey, Chrissy and Erin

Tory was very helpful and friendly when I checked in. The room was spa and spotless. The food at Preston Farm was delicious, and freshly cooked. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I have stayed here before and have never been disappointed

Nice welcome from waiter Stephen & Sean Cooked to order breakfast. Freshly squeezed Orange juice. Selection of fresh fruits & hot rolls. Went for a quick lunch on Saturday as we had been for Sunday lunch before . We opted for the sharing platter with some cheesy garlic bread as well. Staff were very friendly and attentive and food was served quickly. All cooked perfectly and very tasty. Great value as well
