Brewers Fayre Marina in Hinckley and Bosworth

A lovely sunny day helped set the mood for our first family gathering in nearly a year. The staff at Reception were very helpful, the table had a nice view of the canal, the service was excellent and quick, the food was good and our waiter Tom was very professional and humorous which added to the atmosphere. The price was also reasonable.All in all a very enjoyable afternoon.

Had a lovely meal with my family. Tom was quick friendly and officiant . There was a few things missing from the menu but did not really spoil anything.. I have been here several time over the years and with COVID in our lives it did not spoil the eating out experience every thing was set up for your safety

Been here several times before and it can be a mixed bag of service and food but today was a good day.You find a member of staff and they will guide you to a table where you can order drinks only for outside. Inside you can order food but there is restricted space due to COVID so not as many tables available, I’d advise booking in advance to get a table instead of just turning up. Food was good and arrived quite quickly probably down to the lack of people/tables not being served.Staff were friendly enough and attentive.Good COVID measures in place so feels safe enough.Breakfast in the morning so we’ll see how that is.

After a long period of not meeting up, it was lovely to take a leisurely lunch in a safe and friendly environment. The food was tasty and the staff were helpful. We were served by Tom W who was attentive and approachable. We also enjoyed sitting on the terrace on the waterside to have our drinks after the meal.We will be returning soon.

We were met very soon after arriving at the “wait here for service” station and taken to our table. We hadn’t booked. We were told about and shown the new one-way system, and the tables were well spaced out and clean. Waiter (Tom W) came quickly to take our order and was friendly each time he came to the table. Paper menus, waiter brought us refills for our soft drinks, sanitizer on the way in and out, staff masks worn correctly - excellent COVID safe conditions. Meal came quickly and was tasty and hot. Not rushed in the slightest, but we were in and out in an hour!

Came in for dinner this evening, and was greeted by the lovley manager, he sat us down explained the one way system and offered us a drink straight away it was really quick service. We was then followed by our waiter Tom W, who was lovley and came and took our order within minutes, we wasn’t ready to start with he was really understanding and wasn’t long untill he came over again to take our order.I hadn’t been eating very well this week, and he suggested a starter as it was small but filling, he took an interest in my little girl which is amazing, you don’t get many waiters/waitresses like that. Being a waitress myself, I was very happy with the service provided, and will definitely be back to our local restaurant soon. Keep up the good work Tom! Thankyou for such a nice service and making us feel very welcome being back in the restaurant again

Lovely staff and when my dessert wasn't available went for a new option which when it arrived looked yummy and tasted amazing too Eton mess sundae, only downside was jacket potato was miniscule for our kid and wasn't filling at all maybe steer clear and choose mash instead!

We did not book, as we were feeding the ducks and it started to rain so we came to the Brewers fayre to escape the rain. Our server Tom W was very kind and helpful. The food came out quickly and was very tasty. Overall we had a wonderful lunch, I would definitely recommend.

We come here quite often as the prices are fair especially the fixed price menu before 6pm Monday - Friday.The staff are friendly and it's never an issue to change items due to dietary needs or preferences.There is a good range of drinks and the view by the canal is pleasant.

My wife and I decided to get out and have some lunch today. We decided to sample the "Two main course for £8.99" offer at Brewers Fayre Marina, Hinckley. We were shown to our table and our waiter, Tom W introduced himself and asked if we would like some drinks. These were ordered and arrived in a timely manner. Tom then took our food order which we had chosen from the "Two mains for £8.99" menu. My wife and I fancied the sausages, eggs, chips and peas. When it came, the food was hot, plentiful and very tasty. Whilst we were sitting there, we noticed the other food that was being taken to tables looked equally as good as ours. Throughout our visit, Tom was attentive (but not overly so), polite, professional and cheerful and made our visit one to enjoy.We will definitely be back!

Visited here today with my mum and sisters for my birthday lunch. Our first meal out since lockdown . The service was friendly and efficient by both servers Nicole and Tom. The food was really good and the views of the canal were lovely. Will definitely be back

Located next to a canal and marina makes for a very nice place to have a meal. We had dinner and breakfast here, and the food was good enough as you would expect to receive at a Brewers Fayre but we would make a note about Debbie who served us both times and was enthusiastic and brilliant with the kids which we appreciate and makes our life easier and meal enjoyable. Was a little disappointed that it came to payment when couldnt leave a tip on the card payment as in other brewer fayre's, as this would have been truly deserved (dont carry cash in these covid times)

Stayed at the nearby Hinkley Premier Inn and used this pub only for my hotel breakfast. I was met by a very friendly male member of staff (sorry name not known but he did say he had been with the company for 10 years). My breakfast was great as was the service. This pub is located next to the canal and marina which provides for a relaxing view. Excellent Covid precautions in place.

This was such a lovely meal! A spontaneous trip with my housemates turned into one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time!The Mac and cheese was absolutely incredible and an amazing price for the quality of food! The service was absolutely wonderful with our waitress Lauren being so helpful and able to answer any of our questions and requests and making our visit a pleasant one! Unable to say ‘service with a smile’ due the masks but her positive and happy attitude shone through anyway! Would definitely recommend!

Visited the Marina last night for dinner. We chose from the day time menu which was 2 for £8.99 plus add starters or puds for £1.99 each . The food was great and the service was exceptional. We were served by Tom W who was very efficient and polite . Great night , great food , great service and great value for money . A big thank you to the Marina team, especially to Tom W whom is a real credit to Brewers Fayre.

Came here with a few friends and the service was terrible, prices way to high for what was served, not enough staff to run the place seems like it’s gone majorly down hill and isn’t being ran properly in the slightest.

We Had dad's birthday meal today and couldn't fault the expirence, it turned out to be a very pleasent day. Tom w was our waiter and we couldn't of asked for a better person. He was very professional and went out of his way to make dad's day special he even wished him a happy birthday, he's a credit to your establishment. thank you again Tom for making the day special.

Went for a meal and the starters where okay but the main meals wasn’t nice the stake was Chewie the gammon was overly salty and was tasteless the bottled cider didn’t taste right,and the staff where very rude I won’t be visiting again

Went for an evening meal with my wife and in-laws as in the area visiting family. The food was very good - hot and fresh and came very quickly. Served by Debbie who was exceptional. She was very friendly without being intrusive and gave the impression she loved her job. The value for money was very good and it was obvious that the staff had been very well trained. Well done for making this such a lovely experience.

I went the marina a couple days ago and got served by a lady called Phoebe. She was very polite and was happy to help throughout my visit. Would love to come again and be severed by her again.

After not been able to eat out for weeks I went to the marina in Hinckley. They have had to change from bar service to table service what an improvement so much better. We turned up about 6:30 and got a table looking over the canal and could see the sun going down fantastic . The waiter was outstanding. He knew just went to ask just for drinks And to take are orders for starters and mains he was very attentive and knew when to leave us alone to enjoy are night out. He is an asset to the place smart polite and friendly thank you Tom for your great service ten out of ten.

The staff were amazing and the food was excellent! Prompt service, very friendly and welcoming. The staff, particularly the manage Wayde, made our day extra special! In the current restrictive times we are living, I couldn't have asked for more! Absolutely amazing team! Thank You all so much for making our day so special! Highly recommend here!

A massive thank you to Tom W who was friendly, polite and made my Mum and Dad’s wedding anniversary perfect. Food was served quickly and was definitely tasty. The restaurant has new safety measures in place for Covid, which were being followed by guests in the restaurant. Tom W - you are a credit to this restaurant!

Smashing breakfast offer here and plenty of space in the restaurant to relax and get some important work done while getting set for the day ahead. All you can eat offer and a plug socket for the laptops. Good service and tasty fry up!

Food was lovely and came out quickly. Friendly and efficient table service, so no need to go to the bar to order! A good level of Covid safety measures were in place throughout the building.

Our first use of Premier Inn since Covid19 lockdown. We decided to go for breakfast at the adjacent Brewers fayre and were greeted by a warm welcome from the staff. The dining has been laid out with lots of space between tables, and clear one-way routes signposted. Buffet breakfast has been replaced by table service but its still all you can eat with kids eating free. The food was cooked to the excellent standard we have come to expect from Premier Inn locations. Staff were getting used to the new processes but this didn't show at all; friendly, efficient, clean, spacious and safe. Well done!

Over the years we've often been served tiny plates of food for high prices which aren't filling.However we took a chance as we had an offer and had great filling meals with the right orders placed being given to us the only let down was our club pub card wasn't scanned again causing issues contacting to get points added on.The only downside was one meal cost £12! Maybe a little excessive for a vegetarian option when meat costs more...

All the usual menu that is found at just about every Brewers Fayre in the UK. We ate there for an evening meal and found the food to be good and as we expected. It is most important that you register your car number when entering the restaurant as the car park is private and you will be fined if not patronising one of the businesses.

It was the worst meal I have ever had, the burgers awful rock hard chips I nearly chocked so dry and hard, I did tell the waitress who offered me more food, but no thank you last time I will be eating there.

Called in for lunch with my husband couldnt fault the food but was quite a bit of a wait even though it wasnt very busy and the place was really really smelly especially near the drinks machine smelt like drains or something was horrible put me off my food!!

Had a lovely buffet breakfast which was plentiful and good value. There was a good variety of cooked food and a continental section too with unlimited hot drinks and fruit juices.

Me and my husband went for a lunch for the first time at this location and I have to say we really enjoyed it. They have a varied menu, with options for all pockets and all taste. We will definitely going to go back and try some more options from the menu.

Excellent speedy service from start to finish, thank you to Tom W! Taken to table, drinks and food ordered with a few minutes of arrival (restaurant was quite busy already). Good portion sizes and value for money. Food hot and well presented.

I booked a party of 38 people for my sons 1st birthday. All the food came out hot. Everyone enjoyed their meals there was not one complaint. We all had an amazing time. Great value for money. All the staff were helpful, polite and accommodating. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

I stayed at the Premier Inn for the week with work and ate at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner every day. The staff really make you feel welcome and the food is great. My room was immaculate and the reception staff are helpful and friendly. Special mention to Wayde and Leanne at Brewers, Wayde remembers what you've said to him and really takes an interest in his customers and Leanne is lovely to chat to, good luck with your wedding!

Visited with a large group of people for Saturday lunch. Food was spot on, tasty and with decent portion sizes (dirty fries are amazing). Big shout out to the young lad serving us and the tables near to the play area, very polite and a pleasure to serve us (sorry didn’t catch his name).

Visited the Brewers fair for something to eat after a early night out, its wise too book a table in advance as it can get very busy early evening with family's.

Booked this place for my Christmas dinner but it was awful. Icy prawns, Cold veg, and cheap chocolate on my pud ! Thought it was just me expecting better but it turn out my work colleagues also went and experienced same issues. What a shame...

Came here for a family meal there was just 4 of us, we had a lovely meal we ordered of the two mains for £8.99 which is a great deal.

Food is dire here. Popped in for something to eat..didn't realise the Sunday carvery finishes at 5pm (literally as we arrived) Needs to be clear on website.

Came for my mums birthday, place is understaffed and staff are not the kindest or welcoming. Food is either burnt or tastes of rubber. Only good part of the meal was the chips.

Wow where to start, i went to attend a xmas meal, firstly i waited 20 mins to get served at the bar, nobody acknowledged me to say they would be with me shortly. The toilets were dirty, under staffed massively and waited ages for our food to come out even though it was ALL pre ordered as there was quite a lot of us.

Stayed in the Premiere Inn which is attached so had dinner in the Restaurant and everything was spot on, Staff were all really pleasent and helpful. the restaurant was busy but didnt feel it everything was nice and comfortable and being it was busy the food came out in good time and was all cooked perfect.

Came for breakfast with santa on sunday. Absolutely amazing would recommend to anyone with little children. Food was delicious and well priced for an all you can eat buffet. Ella showed us to santa and was brilliant. Santa was great with the children as well. We will be back.

The restaurant was convenient as it was just over the road from the Premier Inn where we were staying.

I booked the upper room for a family get together. The staff were very polite and most helpful. They made sure we were supplied with hot delicious food. The young man who was on duty that night was a credit to the pub. There was ample food for everyone. There were around 35 quests all of whom loved the food. Well done to all the staff.

Visit this restaurant regularly came today for Lunch with my parents , all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much for them. Food is delicious my favourite being the smothered chicken . Have tried Sunday Carvery on numerous occasions and it's the best I've tried. Big shout out to Louise , Tom and Ella they do a cracking job

Being so busy makes it noisy and service and food is probably affected Good place for kids as a fun soft room for them but bit noisy if you are seated nearby Good place for family with kids not really for couples

Decided to try the marina again. Wasn't disappointed food was really good. Definitely going again . Staff and service was good.

Whenever you go to this restaurant you get the best of service - meals are always of a high standard and the staff well trained - had now become my first choice when dining out

Have been to the brewers Fayre many time and never had a bad meal here. Today I visited with my family, we hadn’t booked a table although they still managed to fit us in even though they were busy. Would definitely advise booking. The carvery that’s amazing value for £9.99 that you get soup with as well this was very tasty and hot. Our waitress Ella was extremely helpful and kind. Offered us second drinks and desserts and was always checking if we needed or wanted anything. She’s an amazing asset to your team. We will definitely be return and considering if we are going to have our Christmas Day meal here as we enjoy it so much.

My friend & I met for Sunday lunch as halfway for both us.

We were staying at the premiere inn and booked to have breakfast at the brewers Fayre the next morning.

Saturday night was busy so had meal in bar , meal took 50 mins to come my husband had sweet potato fries they were cold not even warm, one of our party had curry the rice was dry and hard , we complained and a replacement was brought out fairly quick , very hit and miss here,

Order five meals but only received four, which were of poor quality, fifth meal came at second time of asking when everyone else had finished and they had been told not to bring it [twenty five minutes) given a free coke as compensation

Good cheap meals - and managed to moor opposite during a canal trip. Situated right next to the Marina

When I went there yesterday they got my uncle and brothers burgers th wrong way round. If you go there I recommend having the mac and cheese burger but one thing they could improve with the burger is to not put so much bbq sauce on there and they should increase th amount of mac and cheese on the burger.

Stayed in the premier inn next door and had dinner here when we arrived. I booked a table which I would advise as on the Friday when we arrived it was extremely busy. Had a nice table which over looked the canal. I had loin of cod with veg and potato which was lovely my husband had salmon and my mum just opted for prawn cocktail. The food was very well presented and tasty and the staff friendly and attentive. Really good value for money as well.

The pub was really busy , some staff were very unhelpful and some more helpful , we booked a table for breakfast but when we went they didn’t have one for us , we had lunch the day before , again very negative from some , but more helpful from others, that said they were very busy and the food was good, we sat on the deck with a nice view of the canal, having a great time with family so the poor service was overlooked

Romantic. Clean and friendly. Could be made better if they replaced the weeds for flowers in the pots outside. Kinda let's it down a bit because it's a lovely setting. You can walk around the marina, feed the ducks and the food is quite reasonable. Free top ups on costa coffee is always a win for me!

Popped in for coffee after a walk . Good service and excellent coffee with free refills! There was a choice of several coffees and teas.

For a chain pub, this one is good. Wonderful food, good service and pleasant setting. Would recommend.

We were going to go to the Brewers Fayre at Tewksbury but the reviews were terrible so opted for Hinckley with its nice view. We had a bogof to use despite cancelling our bonus club cards when the chain stopped its curry nights so used this on this occasion. It took about 15 minutes before someone came to take our order then he didn’t write it down. A few minutes later he was back to refresh his memory. When the food came part of the order was wrong. Once this was sorted the food was of good quality. The pub was half empty which is always a bad sign. However this made our minds up and we have now unsubscribed from all contact with the chain. If only they had left things as they were when they had things right.

Service was first rate. We use this place a lot and it feels like you are one of the family. A lot of the servers are young, but they work very hard and are always pleasant. The food is great with a wide choice.

We ate here with 2 young children aged 3 and 10, when we arrived we immediately noticed how beautiful the views were along the canal outside of the restaurant. Lovely seating area where you can watch boats passing and ducks swimming along. Kids loved the indoor play area and menus and prices were good. All of our meals were lovely and good sized portions.

It’s a very nice view to see the boats all packed and also take off. The kids were so happy to see the boats, canoe and swan.

I have visited here with my two grandchildren as there is an indoor play area which keeps them amused. The food is good for what you pay and the beer is good. It is a lovely setting also if the weather is good enough.

Great table service very prompt however the food itself wasn't great the potatoes were lumpy and one part frozen so didn't taste great especially the outer skin being burnt the unlimited Pepsi machine drink is good and easily fixed by staff when it broke while we were there!

First time we came here was about ten years ago and we were fairly underwhelmed, as a couple without children seeking a nice quiet meal out I would definitely not recommend!

This pub/restaurant is only about a 10 minute walk away from where we live so it’s convenient, also very pleasant in the beer garden overlooking the canal.

Booked a table for 4 people away from the play area, arrived 7 o’clock for a7-30 booking, table was ready for us. The place was packed at the time so had to wait a bit to get served at the bar but that was ok. It was torrential rain and some of the inconsiderate customers had parked in the disabled parking spots with NO blue badge on display, (It was a big Audi) so I guess that’s ok then.

Unfortunately Monday evening I chose to visit the marina. I cued for a period of time. Short staff Long queue Not sure I will visit of an evening going forward. Love to comment on food but maybe 1 day

Great welcome, good food, cheerful and hardworking staff. But the outside area looks so tired: broken pots and dead weeds where plants should be in the pots. A real chance to make this great venue even better. You may even get more customers.

We went to the Brewers Fayre Marina on Sunday afternoon. All of the empty tables in the restaurant had reserved signs on them.

Terrible - the restaurant was half empty and we were denied a table for over an hour.

Nice pub situated next to the canal. We went on a beautiful sunny day, seating outside on a raised wooden terrace, lovely location. The pub is let down massively by the quality of the food. The food doesn't look anything like the menu pictures and the taste is salty and bland. My food was swimming in water where I presume the vegetables hadn't been drained properly. It didn't help that the meals were all served in a large pasta type bowl rather than on a plate. Poorly presented and a strong plasticky taste to my food which was Mozzarella stuffed chicken.....very disappointing and I wouldn't recommend it as somewhere to eat.

Outlook lovely being by the Ashby canal, good choice of meals, service good, and child play area, also hotel on premises if need to stay over.

The most professional service with a personal touch. Tom W. just made my day by being extremely polite and friendly. It is a place with superb food! Fudge chocolate cake is a must no matter how full you think you are.

Have used this restaurant quite regularly and have always found the atmosphere welcoming with excellent competent staff - food from the extensive menu is always well cooked and presented - the position beside the canal is pleasant and can get busy when the sun shines! There is lots of seating outside and also a play area for young children

I visited this pub for an evening meal and breakfast when I was staying at the hotel next door and it was pretty good.

We had the Lemon and Thyme chicken today it was very tasty. We both struggled to eat it all. The service was very quick.

We just took some family to the marina and found it easy to find easy to park easy to order food the service was superb and the food excellent we paid £168 ish pounds for 8 people including drinks mains and puddings really well done

As chain pubs go this one's pretty good, especially on a warm day to sit out by the canal.

Visited this brewers fayre establishment and found the staff really good and well versed in service - nothing was too much trouble and the meal delicious - will certainly return

First time in many years visiting this restaurant, we managed to get a table straight away. It was clean and the service was quick. We didn’t have to wait long for our meals which were pipping hot and all three enjoy our meal. Definitely will be returning very soon.

Breakfast is average, not a massive amount of choice, toasted items are good, yoghurt and some tinned fruit , the heated items under the lamp are a bit "well done" and not massively tasty. Location is amazing, views are great too of the canal.
