The perfect family friendly pub, with separate play area for the children to play in which they loved (aged 4 & 5), the staff were friendly, very helpful and made my daughters 16th birthday meal extra special. In our party there was 6 adults and 2 children - great grandad loved his fish and chips and his great grandson loved his children's sized steak. I thought that there was a good range of meals available which were all reasonable priced. The kids meal deal was a lot cheaper than other pubs I've been to, portions were spot on for them catering for every taste. What made the evening even more special - the staff brought birthday cake out all singing happy birthday to the birthday girl, she was even given a free birthday mocktail which made her feel very grown up! We have been a few times to the pub and haven't had any complaints with the food or service for a Saturday night it was quite empty but it had a really nice personal atmosphere. Will definitely be going back again

Me and my Family (group of 8) visited here on 5th April 2024 for my birthday, everything was absolutely amazing from the food being cooked to perfection to the wonderful play area and our wonderful server Aiden.. although everything else was wonderful there was one thing that brought the experience down and that was the way that another Team Member (Paul) was treating and talking to other staff infront of us and other customers... it was such a shame but other than that no complaints

Food was great, service couldn't be faulted apart from whoever was strutting his stuff around the dining room tonight, possibly called Paul, was creating a bad atmosphere, bullying staff in front of customers, a totally unfriendly individual with a bad attitude. He made an otherwise great night into something a bit stressful. I felt so sorry for the lovely staff.

Sophie was great, polite, helpful and attentive. Was in the play area. She was great with the kids. Aiden was also good. Very polite and helpful.

Came with work to the premier inn, dinner and breakfast served at the cookhouse. The food was absolutely brilliant, the service was better, a big group of us with age varying, ordering a lot of food between us. The food came out quickly and was really great quality, the same goes true for the drinks as well. I've eaten here most nights for the past 7 weeks with business and am yet to find anything to complain about, I would DEFINITELY recommend, with a special mention to Sophie, Daisy and Milly who went above and beyond.

Had a lovely meal for Mother’s Day drinks and Food were amazing kids loved the play area and Our waiter Paul was very friendly and very efficient he made our day! Thank you Paul we will deffo be back!

Came here for lunch with my partner and our 17 month old, meal was lovely and staff are friendly but my only issue is the play area. So when we took our 17 month old in who is very active loves to climb and explore but she was only aloud in the little part that consists of a slide and a few soft blocks, but she wasn't allowed in the bigger section even under our supervision, but the bigger children were aloud in the smaller section, this meant our 17 month old couldn't enjoy it as much as the bigger children were knocking her over and sitting on the end of the slide so that out daughter couldn't go down and then when she did go down the bigger kid was trying to push her off. I think that if the bigger children are aloud in the small area then the smaller children who are able to climb walk and explore should be aloud in the bigger section with there parents supervision.

An evening meal with friends. A very charming serveur Georgia full of full and nothing was too much trouble. Serving V.Imparied letting them know what was happening and how service was happening, GOLDSTAR! Food from the 2 for 10 menu was outstandingly good and not skimped on, well presented and really tasty. So nicely surprised will be back again. All flat acessability and guide dogs welcome no trouble. So much better than a fast food outlet at a fraction of the cost. Happy Campers!

Popped in here one evening for a meal whilst on my travels for work and found the food surprisingly very tasty, staff were very helpful and even found me some mint sauce, drinks were reasonably priced as was the food, desert was lovely, overall a good experience and good food, staff great too, especially if she doesn’t mind me saying it (the older lady) very chatty and knowledgable on the area , next time am in area will use again
