Table booked for 7.30pm. Pub very messy, no carvery left. Told a 45 minute wait for food. Cued at bar, staff member very friendly and helpful. I asked if they had any chicken dinners left, she said not sure, I'll check. She asked another staff member who listed things not available (chicken not among them). So I ordered 2 dinners and 2 drinks. 15 minutes later staff member came over to say no chicken dinners so had to re-order. Staff member not really bothered when I complained. Still waiting for food, not impressed! Won't come again!

Hang your head in shame brewers fayre. You have closed THE best restaurant in the chain. Have a look at your business plan. You’ve left other poorer restaurants open

Visited today, everything was perfect, immaculately clean, lovely food and service. However was informed the Cinder Path is closing. What an absolute shame, over the years we've had our boys birthday parties there and the staff always went above and beyond. Why close such a lovely family restaurant which caters for all 🥺

I am staying at the Premier inn, using the Cinder Path restaurant. The breakfast is amazing, such a good choice. I normally start with porridge , really good. The buffet breakfast is excellent. Sausages so tasty, bacon ,not greasy. Choice of eggs. Really good . The staff are always happy, helpful. It’s a pleasure. The evening meals are excellent…I like Pie and Pud night for £8.99. Good value. The restaurant is always clean , tidy. You don’t feel rushed. I can recommend it. The play area. Is great for children.

I would highly recommend as the service is excellent especially from Susan who is an example of how customer service should be. Was obviously well managed with happy staff. Had a gorgeous meal which was good value for money and big portions for a deal of less than £10 for 2 meals. Was busy but still excellent service with polite and friendly staff. Will definitely be back

Excellent entertainment for my Granddaughter, in the soft play area. Food prices are very reasonable and there is a 2 meals for under £10 deal if you eat before 6pm. All the Staff especially Susan, Nicola and Kayleigh were so helpful, they are a great example of how Customer Service should be delivered. We will definitely be back again!!

I came here this morning Saturday 18th to try the breakfast as i've heard good things from friends about it. When i arrived it was rather busy with only a few staff on all rushed of their feet Although there were only a few of them Breakfast was faultless beautifully cooked and nothing was too much of an ask. So I'd like to say a big thank you and well done! we will be back

Lovely buffet breakfast, tasty sausages and good selection. Staff are great, can't do enough for customers. Been in here more than once while waiting for car at vic youngs and its really easy and safe to get to with crossing lights. :)

Called in Xmas Eve morning on the off chance of a breakfast with my son. Got lucky just before the meet and greet santa was starting. Given a lovely seat and chose the buffet breakfast. The breakfast selection was amazing. All piping hot. The service also really good and attentive. Staff chatty and seemed genuinely interested in what you had to say. Price is a winner as well. It's help yourself so you can have as much or as little as you want. Can't comment on cold selection as we only had the hot. We even ended the breakfast with a cheeky game of pool. The pub itself was clean, warm and inviting. If local to the area i would 100% recommend visiting.

Absolutely awful. Wrong starter was brought, starters and mains brought at the exact same time, mains were cold when we got round to them and service was slow as they were understaffed

Went to the Cinderpath today for lunch with the family we havent been for a while as i felt the food and presentation had gone downhill but todays visit they seem to be back on form the food was hot and well presented service has always been very good and today was no exception the staff are very attentive pleasent and helpful .

We were looking forward to this a nice treat for us,my partner had the stack burger and l had the three pies with butter mash.My partner's was fine,but mine was not good the pies were cooked in the microwave there were soft not crusty,the buttery mash was straight out of a packet instant rubbish the peas were awesome and the jug half full gravy that's was fine.The pies were chicken tikka,steak and ale and cooked lamb and mint.The last two pies were tasteless and the steak and ale were awarded by whom,overall a but judgement l choose. I look forward to having the gammon next time or a steak.The staff at the cinder path were very helpful and friendly well done to them the restaurant was warm and inviting, another negative thing is the music at the cinder path it was rubbish, please choose another radio channel

We visit every week as a family. The meals are lovely and the 2 for 1 offer ( during certain times) is such good value for money. Although the food is gorgeous , the staff and the service you get is second to none. I’ve been to places In the past where the food has been lovely but the service not good and I wouldn’t go back. Pre booked a table for 2, on arrival very impressed by Covid19 security measures in place, staff all wearing masks, screens to protect receptionist and tables socially distanced with flow pattern marked on the floor. Deise welcomed us and took us to our table giving us disposable copies of the menu and Covid19 rules then came back for our order.Sam servrd us with 2 glasses of Pinot Grigio very nice, starters of Potato Dippers and Chicken Goujon both really tasty and cooked to perfection then Double Smothered Chicken and Scampi for mains. Again cooked and presented while Sam went the extra mile to ensure our meal was hot, tasty and enjoyable while making us feel welcome and safe in these difficult times. What more could you want ? Will we be back ? You bet we will. Would you recomend this Venue ? Yes

Was greeted at the door by Denise and Nicola. I explained I would be there for a couple of hours as waiting for car to be serviced and would need a charge point. They took me to a table with a view and told me to make myself at home. I did, with endless coffee and caramel apple Betty.Pleasant warm cozy atmosphere, chilled, quietly played background music. Covid safety rules applied and I felt safe.

During these difficult times we were very well looked after by the excellent staff at Brewers Fayre. In spite of all the Covid restrictions, we were provided a relaxed atmosphere with nothing being too much trouble for the manager and all the friendly staff. Easy access from main road , ample free parking, signs on entering The Cinder Path were clear and direct. A member of staff explained everything clearly and precise, we were shown to our table where a lovely lady (Denise) explained everything again including food and drink ordering.Drink and food prices were so very reasonable , with a really good selection on offer.I had a mixed grill , which was cooked to perfection and my wife Carole really enjoyed her chicken meal.The building and facilities were spotless.It was really a perfect experience from start to finish.We would honestly recommend The Cinder Path.Many thanks to Denise and the rest of staff we came in to contact with

We had a fantastic experience overall, the food was absolutely lovely and piping hot, I had the Fish and Chips and went "large" for a total price of £5.78, it was a whale! Really great deals on two dine out for £9 and the service was excellent from all of the staff. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed!

I am currently stopping here and eating at the Brewers fayre for work. I am 4 weeks in to an 8 week stop which I had been dreading however the staff at the hotel and particularly Brewers fayre could not be more helpful and welcoming. I am never made to feel uncomfortable as a solo traveller. The food has been excellent and very good portions with plenty of variety. Due to the current climate I feel the need to mention the dedicated approach they have taken to ensuring Covid19 rules and regulations are followed but making you feel safe and comfortable at the same time. The manager who always seems to be there and on hand has certainly worked hard to ensure this along with all the staff. I genuinely have no negatives to say, if you want a safe and comfortable stop this premiere inn and brewers fayre are a must. Thank you to them all

Restaurant was quiet, we were in before 6pm so were able to have the 2 mains for 8-99. These were of a good size and were good value. restaurant clean and 1 way system in place.

Waited 20 mins before we were even asked what we wanted to drink, waited a further 45 minutes before our food order was taken and that was after the waitress was asked by a member of our party ,the burger was dry and burnt ,we had this taken off the bill ,my friend asked three times for a glass of wine ,only to be given the wrong wine from the manager ,only bonus the rest of the food was lovely ,would not recommend though, long wait and poor service

The meal was sent back twice until in the end we gave up. All we wanted was a burger with no cheese and a burger with no sauce. Not difficult. The staff implied it was the chef who did not care.

Soft play was spotlessly clean. Nicola was very friendly and welcoming in the play area. She is brilliant with the kids which makes all the difference. Visited at Christmas time for breakfast with santa and the girls in the soft play area absolutely work their socks off to make it a special experience.

Decided to visit the Cinder path for a breakfast. We were greeted with a warm welcome by Nicola and Kyla and ordered our full English breakfasts which were cooked to perfection by Richard and Louise. A wonderful selection on the continental. Every part of our visit was outstanding. We will certainly be back again soon.

Was my sons 35th birthday and was 7 of us with two babies. Enjoyed food . Very clean and bright and friendly place. Sam was a very attentive waitress. She was sooo nice and friendly and helpful. She worked her little socks off bless her. Well done Sam. Would def return.

My family came here a few weeks ago after not going for a long time and it was great. The food was lovely staff very nice nothing was a bother and there was 8 of us & kids as well had a good night defo be back in the near future nothing for older kids to do over the age of 10 so played on the games that cost a pound a time but other wise very good.

Absolutely terrible customer service from the manager herself. She was very abrupt and impolite, she huffed & puffed while we were ordering food as we asked for different sides & sauces to add to our order. We ordered extra paid for extras & it was if she had extra work to do. I think she very unprofessional and is in the wrong job for working with the public and children on a daily basis. My 11 year son would not approach the bar alone as he thought she was very unfriendly... (words from an 11 year old)

The Cinderpath is my favourite place to eat out. Its cheap and cheerful. You have a great selection of drinks and food available, and the prices are good too. It has a lovely relaxing atmosphere at one end with a pool table, and right towards the other end is a great play area for children. Kyla, Susan and Sam are always welcoming, and nothing is ever too much trouble - for example if you require a special diet, or are simply a fussy eater and want to make adjustments to the advertised menu. The food is always served in good time, and someone always checks to see if you're enjoying everything, or require any condiments for example. I've been coming to the Cinderpath for over 2 years now, and I always get a buzz when I know I'm coming. Keep up the great work guys! One very happy customer, as always :).

Although this is part of the Brewers Fayre chain we expected standard package food. The menu offers many of the meals usual in such places but with some interesting variations. It was post New Year and as such was quiet. I opted for smothered chicken, but being greedy, added a double chicken portion and a starter of potato dippers. There was just too much food. It was very tasty. My wife had feta and spinach lasagne, which was a huge portion and very tasty. As it was a weekday afternoon the prices were excellent, 2 main meals for £8.99. Add to this car parking right outside the door and an excellent range of beer and other drinks. All in all it was excellent.

Waited 50 mins for luke warm food. Ordered sweet potato and feta lasagne - one tiny piece of sweet potato - the veg in it was spinach which wasnt listed as an ingredient - not sure the cheese was feta either. Won't be back!

Visited the Cinder Path recently for a mid-afternoon lunch. Decided on a combo starter followed by Sausage and Mash for me, Lamb Shank for my wife and Chicken meatballs for our daughter. Staff were very friendly and made a fuss of our Daughter which was nice. Food was very nice and reasonably prices. Also happy to see that they offer a good selection of non-alcoholic drinks too.

As a supprise for my wife after her hard work over Christmas for the family had booked a meal at prima restaurant had been the simonside arms when we turned up on time to be told that they were not serving meals due to staff shortage we.
