Old Time Ice Cream Shop. Has a ton of history and some good ice cream if you know what to get. It's basically a Savannah staple. I recommend the Honey Almond! Pro-tip: If you don't want to wait in the really long lines when it gets busy. They sell pints of icecream in the fridge next to the cash register. Just go through the door on the left (The Exit door) and just walk to fridge and check out. Saves a lot of time

Lively, historic old fashioned ice cream parlor in downtown Savannah. My husband and I enjoyed a delicious sundae and ice cream cone. Although it was a long wait in line, it was worth it. I’ll go back again and again! These places are rare finds these days.

Cute ice cream shop with delicious creamy ice cream. All natural ingredients. I had pistachio and it was full of pistachio nuts. The creaminess of the ice cream was super soft. No ice crystals. Nice movie memorabilia from the owners family's movie star history. Great historic spot.

Great ice-cream, service was fantastic. You will wait a bit but it goes by fast. Inside the posters are a really cool touch. Public restroom is available and very clean. Employees seem like they really have fun on shift and know some movie facts about the different movie posters on the wall. There was also some movie memorabilia inside on display. Some indoor seating but it was all full when I was there so I ate outside.

We got the rare opportunity to go to Leopold's when their was NO LINE! Yes, there was a flood warning, and the rain was probably keeping people away, but I am a firm believer that all weather is ice cream weather. We rode the trolley and got off and walked right in. Every flavor that we tried was delicious and so hard to choose from. They have floats available as well, and on the next trip, I'd like to try one of those. The richness of their ice cream flavors will make you understand why they are a Savannah staple and a must try on any trip. Even though we didn't have a line, they are worth standing in one for! 10000/10 and y'all know I love ice cream lol

Best ice cream 🍨 we have ever had by far. And we are ice cream lovers trust me. Everywhere we go we tried the local mom’s and pops places. We tried Friday when we got there, no luck line was insane, tried it to make it on Saturday the line was worst. That’s how you know is good. 😊 So third time is the charmed, checked out of our hotel and went straight there and the line was inside the door thank God cause this Savannah heat is no joke. Loved the fact they have someone serving cups of water at the salon. Water after ice cream is a must. Iykyk 😜

I knew I had to give this ice cream place a try when I saw a line formed outside the door. After trying the Peanut Butter Chippy, I understood why because it was delicious! They aren’t stingy with the portions either. I highly recommend this great ice cream gem. You will not be disappointed.

Must try if you are in and around Georgia - savannah They have unique flavours and the serving size is pretty big) 😄 We tried pistachio , savannah socialite and rum bisque , lemon custard. Of all we loved the rum bisque flavour ♥️ it was so unique and we’ve never had such flavour!

Its an institution. Guided here by a knowledgeable friend. It was a great suggestion. Old school soda fountain style ice cream place. Solid choices, everything was delicious. Ice cream isnt whipped with air. I got a double scoop, and struggled to finish it.

I will stand by what I say: The ice cream here is exquisite! It is so creamy and decadent! They have great flavours, and contrary to popular belief, they are not overpriced! It’s Savannah! It’s supposed to be expensive! You can order online to avoid lines!

Worth it worth it worth it! I have been to Leopolds many times and I have always loved it. If the line is long I patiently wait while anticipating the inevitable frozen treat that awaits me inside. The staff is always friendly and patient. If you have not already been here, make it a priority.

The chocolate chewie ice cream was amazing but the peach ice cream didn’t have much peach taste. The pistachio ice cream was also good. The line was super long and in the sun but it moved fast, and the staff was super nice because they gave us chilled water for the wait. There are few spots inside to seat and a couple of tables outside. If you are lucky you might find a spot. It was a great experience!

Love Leopold's!! Tried their huge ice cream sandwich cookie this time, I couldn't even finish it! I recommend the chocolate chip cookies with cake batter ice cream while they have it! It has actual pieces of cake in it, so good! I had their milkshake before and will always try to stop in. We hit it at a good time on a Sunday about 1:30pm in July 2024. The staff also passes around cold water to those waiting in the line, very appreciated!!

It’s good ice cream but seems every city has a good ice cream shop like this. IMHO not worth 30 minutes long line.

Very cute ice cream parlor, but I would say overhyped for what it actually is. It’s just basic hard scoop ice cream, no special or unique flavors to speak of, no large chunks of chocolate, etc., inside the ice cream, no noticeable special ice cream dishes. The staff was quick to greet and turn, but not to recommended anything special, which would be very helpful for the hoards of tourists who visit here and want a ‘special’ dish. The decor was old timey soda fountain style. Ok but nothing special, so if you don’t make it here it’s not a big deal.

The line was out to the street but the staff managed the crowd well, moving through orders very fast. They even had someone outside answering questions about the menu. Inside has such a cool vibe with the Hollywood memorabilia and connection with Stratton Leopold’s film career.

It is a great old time ice-cream place. Home of the tutti-fruiti, it packs a rum flavored whalop. The Savannah Socialite is a deep chocolate dream with notes of bourbon. I also had the peanut butter chippy which paired nicely with the SS. Come early (before 5) after that the lines stretch out the door! Enjoy!

One of my favorite ice cream shops. Iconic location with that 50's atmosphere. The ice cream is absolutely delicious and shows with the very long lines. If lucky wait will be minimal, and I would anticipate an hour wait. Lots of choices in ice cream flavors and shakes something to satisfy everyone's cravings.

We came right as it opens, so we barely waited for the line. Ice cream is amazing. Pecan cream is my favorite. The staff is nice. The gave my dog a pup cup. Very dog friendly if you’re traveling with your fur baby. Highly recommended!!!

A++ for atmosphere!!! This is an original 1919 ice cream parlor! Hand dipped ice cream cones. We had a waffle cone. Stopped in here because my mom and dad went there as part of their 50th wedding anniversary trip to Savannah. All the original counter and cabinets are there still. Photos of celebrities that have visited are on the walls, records, movie posters etc. Great music playing as well! You may be waiting outside in a line so be prepared but it’s worth it!

Famous ice cream place with lots of unique specialty/signature flavors! You’ll most likely have to wait in line but it goes by quick, and the greeter in line was very nice. Pro Tip: If you’re in a rush you can skip the line and grab a pint to-go from the freezer near the cashier!

They did not have any chocolate ice cream on Saturday. We got peanut butter, which was very good.
