The ice cream is great but the customer service is even better. They helped us out and created two shakes out of 2 pints of the vegan peanut butter and vegan chocolate. Delicious! Great experience. We’ll be back when in town next time.

Worth it while in Savannah! The line may be long- but it moves fast! When you reach the counter- Their service is awesome & the icecream is AMAZING!

Must try. Best ice cream shop in Savannah. The lines are almost always long, be prepared to wait. I tried to come at night but there were sixty people in line. Came back the next day and it was more than worth it. Rich, creamy, delicious.

105-year-old shop, 2 balls of ice cream for US$7.50, with indoor seats and very comfortable. 🍋The lemon lemon flavor is delicious but has a thick texture, and other flavors are on the sweet side.

Really good ice cream. My wife loves ice cream and this place took the crown over her go-to, back in Houston. Definitely loved mine. I went with a two scoop of vanilla and mint chocolate chip. The Mrs went for coconut and caramel swirl. Both were amazing. The friendly staffer bringing everyone the water and talking to us was so cool too. He's definitely the life of the party there. Sweet young man. Nice work and thank you leopolds!!!😉

Just as good or even better than everyone says! We went on a cold Wednesday afternoon...no wait...but, the dining room was still full! Service was very quick and super friendly! You have to go if you visit Savannah...there is a reason it's so popular!

Loved the lemon and the banana flavours! You can sample a few flavours - some staff are very generous with their sample sizes. Kids size is plenty for one person!

We were told it was the one of the 10 best ice cream in the world. It's not. Absolutely not. The Lemon was atrocious and even the signature cookies ice cream or chocolate were frankly disappointing. Maybe it's a good ice cream for American standards, but even industrial ice cream sold in supermarkets are better. If you're European and used to even decent ice creams (and even more importantly if you've tasted Italian gelatos), don't go here.

We were surprised by how good the ice cream was, being from Wisconsin we have plenty of options high end ice cream and this is right there with them. This is definitely a destination in Savannah for anyone looking for a wonderful treat.

There is no comparison, There is so much butter in the ice cream I gained 5lbs just looking at it. Even Jenny Craig would not be able to resist pigging out!

The wait is not necessary (often seems done on purpose) the price is unreasonable (its just ice cream) $20 for 2 people 2 scoops each..we have Detweilers in Sarasota and the exact same ice cream costs $5 total🤷🏻‍♂️

I ordered the hot fudge sundae with vanilla ice cream, extra whipped topping and nuts. The ice cream had no flavor. I was really surprised because every time I visit Leopold's this is what I order and it has always been very tasty.

Line was big and waited about 20min. But was well worth the wait! The reviews about this place met expectations, not sure what it was but the ice cream just tasted different. Very good and tasted fresh. Highly recommended

A bit pricey but that’s to be expected for homemade and where it is. The ice cream was indeed delicious. Cool history. We had very mixed experiences with the staff. Javon (sp?) was extremely friendly and spoke to us multiple times asking how everything was. If a manager reads this I hope he gets a raise he truly seems like a rare gem of an employee. Behind the counter all were friendly except one guy seemed grumpy and not very friendly and guy checking us out was borderline rude with his grumpiness. But overall not a huge deal very cool spot and I would definitely go back. We were there Nov 22 at 2:25 pm.

Definitely overrated, I don’t understand what the hype is about. Staff is unfriendly. Ice cream is not even good, tastes like store bought. Don’t recommend standing in line for, you’ll be disappointed ☹️

It's not worth the wait in line. The line is always down the block so we figured it must be worth it. We waited about 30 minutes to order. The ice cream was very average...no better than the one I get from the freezer section at the supermarket. No one in my group said they would return here even if there was no line. We felt ben and Jerry would have been better.

Place is a walk into movie history and would come back just to look at the movie posters and props. Ice cream is grocery store quality. But hits the spot if it’s hot.

Loved the ice cream here so much. The staff will let you sample the flavors too. The atmosphere and staff uniforms remind me of the old soda fountains of yesteryear. There was a line but it moved really fast. We were in and out in about 5 minutes. What a great experience. Highly recommend!

WOW. The best vegan strawberry ice cream I’ve ever had. I came back three days in a row. The vegan mocha was sold out so I didn’t get a chance to try. Highly recommend. The lines are longer on weekends - try to come back on weekday evenings.

The entire atmosphere and service was outstanding handing out water in the hot sun standing in line. I have had ice cream before but this was the best I have ever had. I had the pistachio ice cream with real pistachio in it and candy cane ice cream with chucks of green and red peppermint. High recommended stopping in for some ice cream!! I will be back!!

This is an attraction/experience, not just ice cream. Waited in line 30 minutes, but delightfully dressed staff served ice water to those waiting. I appreciate high quality ingredients in ice cream, richness and creamy texture. We tried 3 unique flavors. Classic lemon custard was sweet, rich and light lemon flavor. Banana was surprisingly intense and not at all artificial, Savannah Socialite rich and decadent. Enjoyed every bite!

Not a long wait for ice cream in October. I remember coming by this past June and the line was out the door. The flavor, Cookies was great! Had a bit of an oatmeal flavor (which is my favorite cookie flavor). The Savannah Socialite was a little over rated in my opinion.

Great taste and great selection. Even though there was a line out the door they get people's orders quickly. There is a small "dining" room to enjoy your treat if you want but it's very small and seats are limited. The staff was polite and courtesy. Definitely recommended if you travel to Savannah

Yes, there will be a line. Yes, it is worth it!!!! Seriously not over rated. Plus it is the whole experience you have to consider. The staff brought water out as we waited. It was fun anticipating what we were going to get! They have a ton of variety. Once you enter you order. I 110% recommend the Lemon Custard!!! They let you sample though so have fun with that. I got a double with lemon custard and honeycomb almond. Delicious!!! My sister got the cookie dough which was superb too!! I really don’t think you could go wrong. The ice cream is so creamy. They don’t skimp either!! After you order you pay and they do have indoor seating for you to embrace the full atmosphere. Whenever I am in Savannah again I will for sure make this at the top of the day’s agenda. I can’t believe I have not gone until now. Enjoy enjoy enjoy!!

I guess everyone who visits Savannah has to eat at Leopold's. There's always a line, and the wait to get served can be quite long. That said, the service is good, and they do let you try as many flavors as you want (which, of course, makes the line longer). The ice cream is very good: rich and flavorful. They have standard flavors and specialty flavors. The ice cream is on par with other local favorite shops that you'll find in cities across the country.

Terrible customer service,! The line was long which was fine because we were excited to try it but when we got up to the counter to order the server was not helpful at all and just appeared annoyed to be there. When I was walking out an employee was walking in and did not hold the door and I dropped my milkshake. No one offered to help and when I alerted the cashier that the milkshake had been dropped and was everywhere he seemed very annoyed as well and no one offered to help. Overall horrible experience and would not recommend here to anyone.

Ice cream was pretty good, I don’t know why but this might be a rare occasion but the caramel swirl was just vanilla for me. But the other flavors are probably great! Heads up though, the line is usually out the door and past the movie theatre. And it’s always like that!

Our Girl Scout Troop booked through PB&J Tours. We were supposed to get bagged sandwiches delivered to us at Reynolds Square at 12 pm, and then head there for our free ice cream. At 11:50am, our Troop leader and I went to the storefront to inquire about instructions and how they would know who we were (we were not in any GS clothing). The store is about 2 minutes walking distance from Reynolds Square. We were told by Samantha that our food had already left the store. We purchased $30 worth of patches and headed back out to Reynolds Square. I called at 12:02 because our food was not delivered yet. We were told it should be there any minute now. At 12:05 our food had still not been delivered. I called again, but my call was ignored, so I asked my Troop leader to call (she has a completely different area code). They answered her call while mine was still ringing. They had no other response other than our food had left already and that it was very difficult to navigate the wagon. I called our booking agent with PB&J tours (Noah), and while on the phone, I saw Leopold's staff pulling their wagon toward us. She then turned around and returned to the store. Leopold's then called me and said the wagon/food was sent to Oglethorpe Park. We then walked our troop to Leopold's (which was packed, nowhere to sit). It was 12:15 before we got our food. We then had to turn around back to the park to eat said food (which was sandwiches and not very good). We had a tour booked for 2 pm, which was a 30 minute walk from where we were, so we were on a time crunch. We were told we.would have to wait in line to use our free ice cream coupons. The line was out the door, and we didn't want to risk missing our 2 pm booking. So after all that, we didn't even get to experience the only reason to visit. Samantha was not helpful. During the 4 separate conversations, she could have at any point verified where our food was. The one good thing is they labeled each bagged lunch so we knew who they belonged to. The labels also confirmed the delivery location of Reynolds Park.

This was literally the BEST cookie dough ice cream I’ve ever had. Not only was there cookie dough in it, there were mini chunks of blended dough in the ice cream. The texture was so good and easy to bite. I wish this was accessible in stores.

Holy cow this is good ice cream! Honestly, it might be the best ice cream I've ever had. It's creamy, but not too much and the flavors are really vibrant. They let you try flavors, which is nice. I got the peppermint and it was heavenly. The place is also adorable and old-fashioned!

Leopold’s Savannah hired the best brand ambassador I ever met. Jevons job on this day was to simply pass out water to patrons waiting in line but he engaged with EVERYONE in line and inside the seating area. The ice cream was pretty good too.
