What a Wonderful time myself and my three grandchildren had this evening. The food was excellent and the children really enjoyed it in the play area with the friendly staff. Had a lovely meal! Everything was yummy and Sam out waitress was fab! Thank you. They accommodated my son's allergy and everything came to the table nice and quickly.

Friendly staff and Emma who served us on the bar was great. Food is always spot on and never had an issues whilst we are here.

Yes, we frequent this brewers fayre at Castleford at least once a month especially with the loyalty discount. Dining, food the service is very good. We usually ask to sit in the hexagonal conservatory which is light and a nice ambience. But we have started to notice the outlook is becoming quite scruffy and the garden over run and full of brambles and weeds. My wife saw a rat in the undergrowth,but I think the whole property could do with a refurb,entrance doors in need of a bit of paint and t.l.c. Bit of constructive advice whether you heed time will tell.

Visited today for my mums birthday meal. Food was delicious, however my reason for leaving this review is to compliment Callum because he was incredibly friendly, helpful and interactive. Even though a queue was forming he was calm and polite , not making you feel rushed . His plate carrying skills are also amazing :-) An absolute pleasure to have been served by him and he is a credit to your team / Company.

Lovely food. Had to tell Pete the chef myself how nice it was. Had the hunters chicken and he did it exactly how I asked. Lots of cheese, bbq sauce and bacon was nice and done.

My review isn't about the food or the venue as its a Brewers Fayre so you know what to expect. My review is about Emma, who gave fantastic service to a large and hectic group. Accommodating service is not easy to find but Emma was a star!

Spent two night in premier inn. Used brewers fayre for our meals on this trip and wow what can I say . Amazing food . The chef really can cook steak . We was served by Callum and Sam all day. Wow both amazing and Sam we didn’t know she was in training . Absolutely a natural talent and a true professional with humour and customer relations. Thank you sooo much

We hired out the soft play room for a party. Sarah and her team were brilliant. Communication before hand was great. Everything on the day went so smoothly thanks to Sarah. She went above and beyond to make it a lovely gathering. Thanks so much.

We hired the play area for a breakfast party. Some use of the soft play area. Breakfast boxes for all of the children filled with yogurt pastries fruit and juice. Dedicated space and staff to meet all of our needs. Sarah you were brilliant. Thank you for your service. Space was clean and tidy. Food was fresh and there was plenty for everyone. Excellent price. I highly recommend this as a party venue.

Always find this place very welcoming ,cosy and have great choice of food and drinks The staff are very friendly , Megan deserves a special mention as shes always on hand to discuss any offers or help with any problems .All in all a great place for families or friends

Megan goes out of her way to personally say hello and make sure we have everything we need for every visit. Can't speak highly enough of the custom service we recieve evenytime we visit. My family and I went for Mother's Day, as always we had a great time, my Granddaughter loves the play area, the food was excellent and great value, exceptional service made our time there an extremely pleasant experience, Wayde,Meghan and the rest of the team are all fantastic, nothing is too much trouble for them, I cannot recommend the Castlewood at South Normanton enough, first class.

Arrived 15 minutes after the kitchen closed with 2 tired and hungry granddaughters and asked if there was any chance of some food. The manager and staff could not have been more helpful,opened the kitchen, cooked 4 meals and made it feel like it was no trouble. Very grateful!

Typical Brewers Fayre pub and food,but not a bad thing.Good choice of drinks at the bar,good extensive menu,and friendly and efficient staff.It can be a pain placing an order but that is the same with all these type of establishments.We had a slight wait for our food,but when it came it was very good.Prices I thought were reasonable.All in all a good experience.

We had a private party in the soft play area from 9-11 with some people choosing to pay for breakfast while there. Food was lovely as always. Can’t thank Sarah enough for looking after my son’s party, nothing was too much trouble for her. Would definitely book another party in the future.

Visiting with my 10 year old daughter. Had what I thought was a legitimate voucher sent from Brewers Fare via email, as they do only to be told it wasn't valid (in the small print) Ended up paying £45.00 for 2 x Burger and Chips and 2 x kiddies Ice Creams and a coke each. Portion sizes were like something from thr Kiddies me u, to the point whereby we were still hungry. I counted exactly 11 chips on my plate and a spoon full of coleslaw, not exactly £13.00 worth. Taste wise, not too bad, but processed! Lovely staff who seemed rushed off their feet but won't be visiting again anytime soon, major disappointment

We stumbled across this little gem about 2 years ago and now it’s become our favourite local place to eat , brill staff, lush food weather it be a carvery on a Sunday or food off the menu we are never disappointed !! And it’s also nice to see the same staff and not a high staff turn about like other pubs we’ve been in so management are obvs doing something right too :) more than likely be back Sunday xx

Stayed at the attached Premier Inn and had breakfast here in the morning. Everything was really nice and fresh and great variety of choices. The team were lovely and especially the tall slim gentleman who seated me, he was really nice and explained everything to me as I'd not been before. Overall great experience and would recommend.
