Booked for my granddaughters 14th birthday there was 15 people in the party, Great food and a young gentleman called Jack saved us was very friendly polite and gave us a great service. Couldn’t do enough for us 10 out of 10 for Jack

Food is served upstairs, you have to go downstairs to pay and order food bar downstairs. Not impressed with food will never go back

Drove from the NE for a work meeting the following day. Managed to get seated straightaway. The bar man ‘Ben’ was lovely and chatty. Even more so in the current climate. Made an effort to chat to everyone while maintaining a safe distance and wearing the correct PPE.

We visited the restaurant Monday Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd November We have visited the Restaurant numerous occasions over the years. I would like to say that in recent visits COVID 19 regulations have been followed consistently making our visits comfortable and feeling safeOn the 2nd &3rd of November Steve & Sinead were on duty both nights and we were very impressed with the excellent customer service they both provided.We were made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and on both occasions we had a lovely family meal. so a special Thank you to Steve and Sinead also the YumYum food .Jane and Alan Hunter

Super duper Wonder Woman, Jo Tidbury, serving breakfasts to families and visitors this morning like a champ. Must have had her Weetabix this morning as this heroine didn't stop on her feet whilst seating customers, back and forth from kitchen to tables and the politest and most helpful woman you'll meet on a Monday morning. Really helpful and knowledgeable with the breakfast menu, company, local amenities and made a full effort to cater everything I asked for this morning. Brewers Fayre: Please acknowledge such a valuable member of your staff, carrying the morning staff like a trooper. Pat on the back and any rewards applicable ;) Thank you for a great service and experience.

Absolutely love this place, lovely food and great staff, especially STEVEN, CAROL AND SARAH. Who make you feel so welcome when we are there. So professional and caring. Would recommend this place anytime!!

Came in for a family meal and was lovely, was served by a young girl think her name was Tasha made me and my family feel very welcome and made sure we had a lovely meal!

Come for a family weekend they was 11 of us although we had to sit in our own family tables they was very Accommodating to put in close by while maintaining the social distancing rules. The staff where very friendly and Accommodating, Especially Steven who we all confused while having banter with us all this morning over breakfast . Looking forward to coming back again .

Extremely pleased with our visit to the Burley Dam this evening. Popped in for a quick drink after work and bumped into some friends. Ended up having some food and even more drinks than planned. All Covid procedures in place, and feeling really safe. Great service and banter with Steven T. Most definitely we will return.

Always nice to call in to the Burleydam for a drink after work or food with the family. Steve makes us feel welcome and always gives great service.

Don't normally wright review food diabolical burger bun rock hard if you had thrown it at someone you would of done some serious damage to them mixed grill ordered 2 got 1 split in 2 thay where that small and as for the gammon we where wondering why they offer 2 eggs when if my husband had off had the 2 he would of had egg and chips as the gammon was smaller than a cooked egg if I had of payed full price this would of been a much more detailed review

Signs say observe safe distancing- what's that?- 1metre? 1.5metres? 2metres? doesn't specify. The footsteps where you wait to be seated are 2 foot apart side by side. None of the staff wear masks, the female staff were excellent, well mannered, attentive and stood back allowing me to take my plate at a 'safe distance'. The one male member of staff was in my face, with attitude, at a distance of no more than 15 inches. Fortunately I wore my mask. I respectfully asked him to observe at least 1.5metre rule when serving me. As he walked away he, INCORRECTLY, said you're wearing it upside down anyway! (NHS worker for 28years). Are Brewersfayre not prepared to pay for masks for their frontline staff who they are putting at risk? never mind the customers? Not impressed! The menu was very reduced, limited, peas for veg, only chips offered, no other type of potato catered. The tables were wiped but the back of the chairs got a flick of a cloth over the top part!! Worth noting, a lot of indoor restaurant staff aren't wearing masks and the safe distance isn't specific, as required in confined spaces. How come? Covid numbers are now increasing!

we went for a family meal 6 of us one being a baby and we got served very fast and looked after amazingly.A small lady who i believe supervisor was brilliant with our 2 year old and baby and kept asking if we needed any more. She went out of her way for us and very kind and thoughtful thank you after being a little nervous with all this covid 19. Your all doing a wonderful job in these mad times.

Been here a few times over the years. Absolutely love the breakfast buffet. We do book here a lot for family meals due to the play area. Not all staff are welcoming but a really good fair few are lovely. (Tasha is one). Yes maybe extra member of staff on the bar would be great. But all in all everything was great with everything that’s goin on at the minute they are managing well.

I called just after 8.30 and asked what time they were serving food till, was told 9pm.Arrived 10 mins later and wait to be seated for almost 10 mins despite several employees walking past me.Finally I was attended to, only to be told that they had a big party and were not taking any more customers for food.Given the circumstances I would have though they would have wanted any business, clearly not.AVOID AT ALL COST !!! Other restaurants would welcome you with open arms but clearly they don’t !!

I only ate here as I was staying at the adjoining Premier Inn. I arrived about 8pm and shown to a table, which felt like it was squashed into a corner, next to a table with 3 young children, although the were other tables available. I wasn’t asked if I was ok with this. Fortunately the children were lovely and very well behaved. The girl who showed me to the table told me when I was ready to order to go to the front and vaguely waved her arm in the general direction of where to go. I discovered that you went to the bar to order ( I couldn’t see any signs and it was around the corner, down some steps). There were a few people standing by the bar, who I realised were also waiting to order food, not just drinks. There was only 1 person serving and when I ordered I was told my choice wasn’t available, which I was a little surprised about, as it wasn’t late and as I hadn’t taken a menu with me, or offered one, I felt a little pressured and ended up ordering a steak as I felt this a safe option. The service in general was slow, the meal mediocre. No one checked on me, to see if everything was ok. I decided to have a sweet, so went back to the bar. Again there was only 1 person serving and she was having to go backwards and forwards for clean glasses & straws. Following this experience I decided to try somewhere else for breakfast the next day.

don't bother booked a table through the Premier Inn next door and they lost our booking. To order drinks and food one person on the only till which takes orders for food and also drinks at the bar so there is always a long queue at the till. then an hours wait for our food to be brought to the table. when you think this restaurant holds about 200 people you can imagine the queues just to get a drink as there is no table service never coming back again

Visited over Valentines weekend with my girlfriend. It was very busy on the Saturday night but there was not a long wait for the food and when it came it was nice and hot. My steak was cooked perfectly which makes a nice change as quite often eating out it is overcooked so well done to the chef.

Had a catch up with a few friends and had a fantastic time. As always the service was great and so was the food. The staff where polite and helpful couldn’t fault them.

Came over half term and although very busy the staff were super friendly and the food was excellent. Would recommend to family's with young children

Visited the restaurant on Wednesday, the waitress was very friendly and could not help us enough. Ordering was very quick and the arrival of the food was also fast. Food was good value for money, and the refillable drinks were great! I would highly recommend!

Had a catch up with the family. Grandchildren went in the fun factory to play while we waited for the food to arrive. The food was delicious we had the 2 meals for 8.99 and the kids ate for £1 what a bargain. The kids had a great time while we had a catch up.

Arrived around 5pm looked very busy and to our pleasure there was no wait on food. The food came out fairly quick was hot and well presented. Steven who brought our food was very polite and professional, and Danielle I think her name was very pleasant and cheerful when clearing our tables. I must reccomend the mixed grill and for dessert the sticky toffee pudding, everything was excellent and delicious. This will be the place our family meets from now on.

Nice place to have lunch with the grandchildren. Food reasonable in terms of cost and quality and the Play place is very clean.

Visited during half term break with the kids. Place was extremely busy but staff did all they could to ensure we had a great visit. Play area, arrive early as just after we got there, an hour wait was in place. Food excellent and made even better by kids eat for £1. Would definitely recommend for families with young children.

Called in on spec Sunday and got a table. Place was reasonable full. You order at the bar and the meals are delivered to the table. Had a good three course lunch with drinks for under £20. Food was good, service good and prices reasonable. There is also quite a decent car park. There's also a garden centre next door to walk it off!

Turned up at 12pm to take 2 kids for food and soft play and was basically laughed out the door when we arrived without a table booking.

I've been here a couple of times & had good quality meals every time. THe prices are fair & they do offer good special deals on a regular basis so it's worth a visit especially lunchtimes. Nice clean place to eat & majority of the time the service is good. Staff are pleasant & helpful, menu is varied & there's a bit of something for everyone.

Tried other carveries in ellesmere port, always return to the burleydam, food,staff and atmosphere the best in the area. We recommend the carvery everytime, even managed dessert which is a first for us as the portions and quality usually more than enough. Wish they served carvery every day.

We come every week on a Sunday and we love the carvery. Is always piping hot and fresh out the over. The staff are all brilliant and have excellent customer service but every week Steven and Andy can not do enough for you shining star service from them both week in week out.

Came here today with hubby and son and we were really pleased with the service! Nothing was to much trouble for one of the team leaders Steven... I had an issue with me blue light card an he sorted it within in seconds!

Excellent service, great play area for children so was able to sit and catch up with family. Had a carvery plenty of meat.

Arrive early evening 3 adults and 2 children. Food arrived fairly quickly after ordering, but was very disappointed with the children's meal and the fish and chips. Very poor quality sausages, dried up beans, greasy gravy and chips that were grey. Fish was greasy, mushy peas dried up and the same dirty greypoir quality chips. Other two adult meals, chicken and macaroni cheese were acceptable. None of us finished our meal.

Staff were so friendly and helpful especially Steven who went out of his way to make sure my Nephews 2nd birthday was a special one. The food was delisted and piping hot.

Staff where brilliant and extremely helpful but the chairs where disgusting very badly stained under the tables there was dirty cutlery and food place definitely needs a deep clean and a make over won't be going back there had to clean our table and cutlery thank god for wet wipes

We have been going to this establishment for many years bringing our children, their husbands/ wives and many of the 20 grandchildren we are fortunate have, to celebrate birthdays etc..

The staff and food was really good here. We arrived on New Years Day at 8.15pm for something to eat as everywhere else was shut. My sister and family had just arrived from a long drive from the Netherlands and were tired and hungry. The staff could not have been more accomodating. We sat chatting until nearly 11pm, Staff were clearing up around us but we did not feel that we were being hurried. The service was so good that I booked for the next evening for 6pm a party of 20 including children of all ages. After attending a very emotional funeral in the afternoon, we arrived and a table had been prepared and again Carol ( member of staff) was on duty and we had a lovely meal. The staff were very tolerant of the children and the play area is a bonus. The adults were able to chat, music was muted so you did not have to shout at each other, staff were efficient, polite and friendly without being intrusive. At around 10pm we were asked if we would like to go to into the bar area, which we did, as some members of the family had left to go home. Again there was a warm and friendly atmosphere where you could sit and chat. Full marks to all the staff for making the end of a very difficult day very pleasant and relaxing.

Brilliant food and excellent service, Steven and andy treated my family like VIP visitors. Will come again

just been the burleydam as a party of 6 and were waiting for a few more guests we had kids with us and all because my son was 1cm over the height he wasnt allowed to play in pay area the woman in the play area had an absolute disgusting attitude! the manager had a poor attitude as well end of the day you lost out on probably ove £300 bill for food and drinks weve come to the rake where 1. you dont have to pay £3 to get in the play area and 2. theres not a height restriction

Stayed at premier Inn next door to this restaurant so decided to eat here as husband was tired after drive, really wish we hadn’t. It is dirty! The waitress was busy cleaning tables as the diners finished but I don’t think the actual restaurant has been cleaned for months, dust everywhere and the dirt on the skirting boards and dado rail was disgusting. I would happily have gone without a meal but hubby needed to eat, his mixed grill was ok and that is about as good as it gets in this restaurant.

We were a party of twenty and had a table booked for 7 o’clock (as only space available ) which was fine we expected it to be busy in between Christmas and when we ordered food along with our puddings (only two chooses of iced cream. Cookie dough or strawberry) we were told there was a forty five minute wait again we were fine with this having worked in the pub industry for 15 years I am fine with having to wait and as we were told this is fine. The food however that we received was not fine. Smothered chicken had no sauce. Burgers were burnt. Things missing off meals. The staff were great and helped with this. But then some of our party went and ordered puddings. And even though we ordered our pudding at the started we still waited forty five minutes after we had our meals for puddings. And our table had still not been cleared. When we asked staff they said we had had our pudding which we hadn’t and then went to go check. They then told us they only had strawberry iced cream left which we declined as it was not what we asked for and had already waited for almost an hour for them and couldn’t wait any longer. We were given a refund off the manager but didn’t get an apology. Totally feel they either didn’t have enough staff on or where totally over come with the amount of guests.

attended boxing day for lunch, upon ordering was told could not use money off voucher had received in post as its a bank holiday, states nowhere in terms and conditions that boxing day is excluded but in fact new years day is included -is this not a bank holiday ? manager could not find either upon checking so proceeded to tell me that they can withdraw the promotion at any time and that their decision is final !! why bother in sending these vouchers out if cant use them - unacceptable and very misleading. manager needs to attend course in customer service. wont be returning.

Took my daughter for her first breakfast with Santa on Saturday 14th, she absolutely loved every second of it! Santa was amazing with her & she also had a lot of attention of the waitresses! Breakfast was gorgeous & all help yourself which is always good!

myself and my 3 mates went their for lunch which is fantastic lunch ever. I had a fake and ale pie was lovely and tasty means its spot on and very homemade in my life. The staff was friendly and helpful of good services serving food and drinks in the bar. We shall be back again in the future so try good grubs and services on drinks

We reserved 2 places for breakfast with Santa. Upon arrival, the girls saw Santa walking with his toy sack through the pub, saying good morning. He took time out to talk to the girls and then remembered them when it was their turn to go into see him. Best Santa for interacting that we’ve met! Talked to them both for ages ❤️ Loads of photos! The food was brilliant too. Great value for money. All you can eat hot buffet style and croissant and fruit etc too. Refill hot and cold drinks! Just fab! Staff were great, couldn’t do enough for us. So friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Love it here! Thanks for making our Santa visit just perfect! Merry Christmas

We used the restaurant here whilst staying at the premier inn as we booked Meal deals which were a 2 course evening meal and breakfast for 2 days.

We have been here previously and each time we visit it is better everytime. From being seated but Steve upto having meals we where always made aware of ny delays by Steve. It was a great atmosphere and food lovely and hit as always keep up the good work all at Burleydam and Merry Xmas if I dont call 9n before

We come every week and we always receive an exceptional high standard of service from everyone. Steven and Andy especially. The carvery is always very good value and full of taste and colour.

Had a great stay at the burleydam rooms clean and very modern and the brewers fare had decent meals and Steve gave a 5 star service wether on bar or restaurant duty

On arrival after taking our seats went to order food and drinks,a latte and a pint and paid. Got to machine it was broken so had to have an instant coffee (tiny sachet) food was a Sunday carvery. Tomato soup was like water food tasteless beef was chewy and it wasn’t hot enough. Got home looked at the receipt and they had charge me £2.69 for a coffee wouldn’t of minded if the machine was working and I could of got a decent cup of coffee. Overall poor quality and overpriced.

Had a great time for in-laws 60th anniversary. Brilliant service as usual from Steve, Andy and all the staff.

dropped in a few days ago and ordered the smothered chicken burger and my wife ordered the ipa chicken burger. we doubled up on both for an extra 1.69 and the burgers were huge and tasted really good! great food and good facilities for the kids

This is not right having dirt on your fork they should be washed properly and I was glad I seen it because it’s absolutely terrible I am absolutely disgusted about that

The Premier Inn that we stay in regularly is associated with this Inn. The food is fairly straight forward and of good quality and can be pesonalised by requests when ordering. The staff are a very good team managed by Andy who all provide very good service: names that come to mind in the restaurant are Natasha, Louise and Judith whom we have known longest and Steven in the bar. Jo is normally well present for breakfast service and always ensures that everything is available on the buffet. As I said, a well managed team supported ably by Rob whom I think is the 'Kitchen Manager'.

Recently booked a table for a family birthday celebration with ages ranging from 11 to 79. Everyone loved their meals and desserts and the staff were brilliant and very helpful. Would recommend.

We stayed at the attached Premier Inn and had hoped to eat here, but the place looked so run down and depressing that we chose not to. We did go in for a drink one night. We walked from the Premier Inn end into an empty pub, no sign of anyone, no idea where to go. We wandered round a bit and eventually found the bar. A few customers in there looking pretty miserable. No greeting from staff, just indifference. We bought a couple of drinks and not wanting to sit in the cheerless grubby bar with ripped seats and stained tables, we took our drinks back through to the "restaurant" area. It was deserted but several tables with "reserved" signs on them, the others already laid for breakfast at 8.30pm. The barman and the lady laying breakfast tables (who also ignored us) were the only staff around. A thoroughly depressing place and, although I've come to expect average standards from Brewers Fayre, this was a new low. Would never go back.

came here on a friday night, had booked a table threw pi was shown to it wasnt to busy. ordered down at the bar young lady was smiley and very helpful all staff are food was lovely we did have meal deals so spoke to manager i think her name was tasha she told us what we could have she was lovely and has great customer service skills. would be back if up that way again

Made a reservation to start off with which wasnt put down so we didnt start off too well. Staff where hit and miss. Manager was very helpful after my daughter was rudely ignored by another member of staff and other staff where helpful too. Food was nice but had better for less of the price. Had a voucher which is totally missleading. Play area was good bit was a few rougher older kids pushing young kids about but that happens

Food was OK, restaurant is more for families with younger children as there is a big play area for them and it was well supervised by the look of it.

Decided to pop in here on our way back to our hotel.

Seemed like staff couldn’t cope. Dark and dingy. Greasy fry up. Dry croissants and muffins. Kids May eat free but they didn’t want to touch anything that was there anyway!! And my kids normally view eating out as a treat!

Food was good but service let's the place down! All tables have reserved in when you enter in the evening so lots of people leave! Playden was OK. As we were staying in Premier I pre ordered breakfast, again when we entered not greeted by staff and had to go and find someone. Supposed to be a buffet style and was told that finished at 9am which I was not aware of! Nobody took my room number so they had no idea if I'd paid or not! Luckily for the company I had! Not sure I would use restaurant again.

We had been moved from another premier inn with a brewers fayre. Reserved a table on arriving for 6.00pm. On going into the restaurant no sign of staff to ask where our table was. Eventually found a staff member who showed us to our seats. Went to order our food and were told an hour to wait. If we had anywhere else to go we would have walked out.

Pretty much what you'd expect from a value dining chain pub such as this. Which, in fairness, is basically how the place is presented. Find an available table, order food at the bar, that kind of thing.
