Lovely food which is very reasonably priced, the staff are very friendly. Some really cute gifts and other things you can buy around the cafe, these are all really nice and reasonably priced. Lenny the dog was a highlight, great cafe, would recommend.

Lovely vegan tea room - Edit Travelled from Leicester and it was worth the journey. Lovely food that was reasonably priced and very filling. £30 for 2 adults and a child having tea, coffee, lunch and cake. Popped in with my 2 year old and dog as I had an hour to kill. What a nice place! Cafes, toddlers and dogs aren’t normally conducive to a relaxing time but here had a lovely vibe, good coffee and tasty cakes (all vegan). Overall I had a nice time and will definitely return in future to try their lunch options.

Can you go and not find something in their homebaked cake selection that's an amazing surprise recipe you've never come across before? I doubt it. Edit update: I still love Bread & Butterflies but don't go so often since they became a vegan-only venue. I tried the cow-milk alternatives but that's a different debate. Just be aware of this before going if you're an omnivor.

Brother had a caramel latte from them and I had a sip. Had to go back and buy my own! One of the best caramel latte's I have tried - brilliant to know it's just across the road from us. Brilliant decor, and very friendly employee who made my coffee.

Vegan Gluten free High tea was on par with the non gluten version. Kids happy with breakfast and pancakes.

Absolutely lovely cafe! Fab and interesting range of vegan and gluten free food with owners always friendly, and flexible about any extra dietary needs. Scrambled tofu the best I've had, also recommend the Big Breakfast and the American pancakes. Dog friendly, with cute and resident dog too.

First time for my wife and I eating here. In fact, it's the first time eating vegan food anywhere, being confirmed omnivores. So, were absolutely delighted with the taste of the food and the quality as well. Had a latte with soya milk for the first time, couldn't tell the difference from milk. Lovely and creamy coffee. Had a vegan bacon and sausage cob, delicious. And the cakes were divine. Didn't miss having meat or dairy at all. Prices were very reasonable, and the hosts couldn't have been more helpful and friendly, as well as being fine artists who sell a range of hand drawn items that are one-offs and really cool. Also, a dog loving, welcoming cafe with their own resident gorgeous pooch in situ who was a diamond. All in all, it was a very pleasurable experience, and although the first visit will definitely be going back and will definitely be eating more vegan food in general.

All day Vegan breakfast was delicious and dogs very welcome. Granary toast, friendly, relaxed yet efficient vibe. Loved the loose leaf breakfast tea in posh, vintage crockery. We had left Benji (our dog) at home sadly. He would have been settled here. Lovely Sunday treat. Next time the sandwiches and cakes I'd like to try.

When we went it was very busy. Not seats were available straight away. The staff were friendly and kind. The cafe is cute and charming but cramped. You can't open the toilet door fully because that reason. The food was very nice though. I would come back.

It’s so great to know I can have anything off the menu and I don’t have to ask if the ‘butter’ on my toast or the milk in my coffee is vegan. The big breakfast looked really good, but I went with the breakfast sausage cob and it was lovely. What a joy to visit a tearoom & it all be 100% vegan.... No having to check on anything... Recommend Bread and Butterflies if you ever visit Nottingham... It's a few miles outside the city centre, but defo worth a try 😋

Went in for a cuppa and a slice but, found out it was vegan January, as I'm not vegan, was worried but, needn't have been, had coconut milk with my tea and a vegan scone, it was lovely and pleasently surprised with the prices. Masks not needed and would recommend you trying

Went here for some lunch with my partner on Sunday afternoon and the service was very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious too, we had a hot drink and sandwich each. Great for vegan diets too.

As we were still in the restrictions for eating outside it just so happened that it was a sunny day. Myself and my friend decided to have a coffee and cake here. It was delicious and the service was excellent. The two assistants were very polite and helpful and having just recently to the area i will be certainly going again.

An amazing "At Home" afternoon tea. Fab cakes, delicious sandwiches (we had chicken, egg n' tomato) and home-made scones. It's treats like this making lock-down bearable. We'll be returning as regulars any week now. Thank you Lisa and Linsey

I was considering going into this cafe, but was put off by the incredibly snotty lady who worked there who told one of my children off for putting a lolly pop stick in the cafe wheelie bin outside. I thought this was incredibly petty and that surely children should be encouraged to put things in bins. With everything going on in the world at the moment, I thought cafes would be happy just to be open and not be giving potential customers frosty remarks. Will not ever be visiting or recommending this establishment as it felt very unwelcoming.

Popped in for a takeaway coffee (oat milk flat white), which was very nice. Friendly staff and quick service. I didn't have a cake but there was a good selection. Reasonable prices. Would definitely go back!

Today we had a takeaway afternoon tea for mother's Day (2nd year in a row now due to lockdown!). Was so delicious! Looking forward to be able to eat in again once restrictions allow ☺️

Café bastante agradable, opción de menú bien. Fuimos por el panani que se sirve literalmente con una cucharadita de ensalada de col al lado de 6 hojas de ensalada pequeñas como guarnición. Bien podría no molestarse con la guarnición. Creemos que es caro para lo que obtienes. Necesitan bajar el precio o subir el juego de las porciones. Realmente no me impresionó en absoluto.

Good for lunch. The falafel roll with hummus and roasted vegetables was good quality. Very good coffee and the cakes looked delicious. The menu could do with more options. Attentive service.

We love the cakes from here! Always fresh and it’s a lovely little cafe for a bit of lunch, especially when the weather is good so you can sit outside. Also sells a few little gifts so it’s nice to have a cheeky browse!

Le mencioné esto a la persona que estaba detrás del mostrador y se mostró inflexible en que no estaba obsoleta y que estaba fresca, a pesar de que mi compañero sentía lo mismo. No terminamos el pastel, pero cuando llegué a casa tenía malestar estomacal y mi pareja tampoco se encontraba bien. Nunca volveré. EVITAR

Staying in Nottingham and fancied tea and sandwiches. One search later and we turned up at the cafe. Friendly service. Nice searing area outside. Sandwiches and cake were all good. Nice, relaxed atmosphere.

I googled local tea rooms, and this little gem came up. I am so pleased it did. We both had delicious freshly made sandwiches, tea and cakes. Service was great, friendly and so relaxed. The décor is fresh, cute with a twist of vintage and retro chic. A good choice of tasty bites and cakes, without being too overwhelming. The toffee popcorn cake I had was so tasty and a generous portion too. Will definitely return and literally and so much easier than going into the city centre, especially with relatively easy on street parking nearby.

As a Vegetarian/Vegan I can say that this place has a considerable percentage of its menu that I personally would eat. For the price I was expecting more. My friends mum asked for some tea that was served in a cup that didn’t even nearly match the saucer - they were even made of different materials. While my panini tasted quite good, the portion wasn’t all that big. I got what was probably worth a teaspoon of coleslaw with my sandwich and a small portion of salad. The toffee cake tasted good but had a bad execution. I’m not expecting neither my toffee nor my icing to have sugar granules when I pay over £2 for a not-that-big slice of cake... Staff wasn’t all that friendly either... Overall just not the best experience. Will be back again to give it a second try. One experience doesn’t determine a pattern.

I visited for breakfast. This lovely café was so friendly and welcoming. We sat outside and had vegan sausage on granary with onion chutney, black fresh coffee. I couldn't fault it, delicious.

Me and my girlfriend visit this lovely little cafe most weekends for coffee. There’s always a lovely warm welcome and not a long wait for drinks!

Really disappointed! Went for brunch with my partner and our son. An over 30 minute wait for 3 sandwiches, which would be fine if the quality was good.

Very long wait very over priced even heard a couple of customers say so in there , very poor service aswell scones not buttered or even cut open had to go back from work to get it done and not even a sorry for all the time it took food was average aswell considering the price you would expect it to be exceptional for the price

Such a friendly place. We had a late lunch here today and the food was terrific. I had a breakfast bap (amazing sausages) and my wife had a delicious salad. We sat outside and enjoyed the sun. Not the first time we’ve been here and certainly won’t be the last.
