I was very excited to hear the cafe at the white house in Maryhill was opening as brave bakers. I popped in a couple of weeks ago and as it was empty I decided to get a couple of sausage rolls to take away. These were a long smoked sausage wrapped in bread dough and baked - not to our taste I have to say quite odd so didn’t finish it. Today we went for a walk and decided to pop in for coffee and maybe a sweet bake. The offerings croissant and a cinnnamon bun were huge but also looked like heavy bread dough so we just ordered 2 flat white coffees. The young guy serving obviously didn’t know what he was doing with the coffee machine and it took ages to be given our drinks served in paper cups at £6. We sat outside tried the coffee which was totally tasteless and went down the drain. My Tassimo machine makes better coffee. So sorry to say we won’t be back.

We chanced upon Brave Bakers after a long walk along the canal. First visit, our hostess was eloquent, interested and meant we couldn’t wait to return. However, returning today, Friday, different hostess was uninterested, glued to her phone and sniffed. A lot! Still 5 stars as the food and coffee are excellent, but I know which MOS we preferred.

I was introduced to the ‘Too Good To Go’ app by a workmate - Brave Bakers appeared for a 15:00 to 16:30 pick-up. The rest, as they say, is history! For just £4.00, I walked away with a brown paper bag filled with goodies. From what I remember, the contents were two Croissants (Jam and Chocolate fillings) and three filled Focaccias. Honestly, brilliant bakery items - good quality and fresh, for a fraction of the cost. All served with a smile from a lovely, sociable employee. Already favourited on the app and highly recommended - will keep my eyes peeled for future opportunities to order again.

Was in Glasgow with my young daughter, and we were making our way to Glasgow Green, and decided to grab a coffee and something to eat for the park. Passed Brave Bakers, which I have passed by so many tomes, and the stuff in the windows always looks amazing, and was delighted when it was open. Amazing selection of baked goodies, so ordered a coffee for myself and large sausage roll to share with my daughter. Freshly prepared in no time, and the staff were truly excellent, and very chatty! Also as a extra treat, they handed a free cookie to my daughter as we were leaving, which really made her day! 100% recommend this place and will most certainly be back in future!

We had a nutella croissant and a cinnamon pastry and they were so good! The cinnamon one was vegan too, which was great. The oat milk flat whites were tasty. And the staff were lovely.

I am a French expat living in Scotland and so far I have never found a lovely bakery with warm customer service. Brave Bakers is my local bakery and is simply the best place ever. The service is always amazing, the baker is very nice to every customer, the food is incredible. I love the Danish cinnamon rounds & the nutella croissants. Now I am bringing those to my friends so they can discover this lovely place. They definitely deserve the hype.

Live round corner and had been meaning to try and remembered they do a apple rose shaped pastry that I thought my mum would enjoy. Went in and friendly man explained the cake and that it was also nice warm. My mum heated this evening and phoned me to say very delicious. Like a cruffin with pastry and apple and really enjoyed so I will go back and find myself a treat. I am a big coffee person so may try a coffee too! Lovely to have fresh baked goods on doorstop... 💙

Nice friendly bakery that sells all of your European delights! Croissants - needs a rethink, in my opinion. It was like eating a nutella roll :-/ Strudel - very good and made with love. Yum! The Smoked Sausage Rolls - Out of this world! I craved it as soon as I finished eating it! Worth a visit for these alone, must try!

Really tasty pastries at very reasonable prices. Sustainable take-away packaging. Best of European baking on a platter, served up with a smile from the owner. 😋 Proper little gem of a place! No photos of the sausage roll or Danish ring sorry, ate them too quickly 😳

Popped in when heading back to car for a cake to take home. The consmon twist with a sprinkle of vanilla sugar, heated up is THE tastiest thing I have had for a long time. Still to eat the Apple Rose cake...but I am sure itvwill be just as nice. Not the cheapest but well worth it.

Went to Brave Bakers on my way to Glasgow Green and had a couple of pretzels and a cinnamon danish. Awesome, fresh and full of flavour. The danish was literally out of the oven and the smell was heavenly. Highly recommended

Easily the best coffee in Glasgow. Actually, the best, most coffee-y coffee I've ever had. My partner is a coffee aficionado and we are always on a mission to get a great cup of coffee on our travels and at home, and this is a place we can heartily recommend.

We had a set menu and everything we ate was delicious. Good alcoholic and non alcoholic options. A must is getting some of the snacks with your meal. Beautiful restaurant to sit in and staff helpful with dietary requirements. We will be back to experience the full menu.
