Soulsa Bar & Kitchen in Glasgow City

Decor was nice. Disappointed to see unpacked boxes lying about. Staff were nice. Steak sandwich was disappointing as the steak very tough.and presentation not good. I do hope that this is teething problems and you sort them out and are successful. I think other Soulsa regular customers will be disappointed 😞

Seems like a great place. Website, menu, front of the shop. A shame that the system allowed us to book a reservation but the place is still not open. My friends and I arrived after the theatre to a closed door with a sign of “coming soon”.

Website allowed a booking, with email confirmation but the bar was closed when we arrived. Very disappointing, nothing on website to let us know it was being refurbished.

Nice bar first time visited ....If you like Soul Music ,this is the place for you ,Nice welcoming Staff .....Can also have something to eat Though prices are on the expensive side

Mental karaoke bar. Dropped in as I had never seen it before. Saturday night about 22:00 ladies just over a certain age being bonkers.

Love Soulsa Bar. Atmosphere always goid. Cheery staff with a prompt service. Just in for drinks but have had foid before which was delicious. Music always good too.

Quiet when we visited, the staff were very friendly, the food (beef chilli) was tasty as were the Mac bites which would have been nicer with a small salad for presentation. The prices were fair and I would definitely visit again.

Popped in without a reservation Saturday afternoon, nothing was too much trouble. Lucy seemed to be working front of house on her own but still was so friendly, took the time to ask us about our visit and even recommended the Hong Kong Market at the Barras, which was fantastic too. The food was exceptional, we ordered 3 starters and the soup of the day and thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming and we will be making sure to visit every time we’re in Glasgow.

Popped in for some lunch today, quite today a few tables with people at them. The barmaid came over atraight away to offer us menus and take our drinks order. The 2 course menu was our choice today, 2 course for £15.95 , lots of deifferent choice to pick from. Food cam really fast, starter was delicious and a large portion, salad wa.sso frah as was the fallafal and cauifower Mains were so good, huge portions and delicious our choices were fish and chips and macaroni and chips

We spent New Year’s Eve in this bar with our friends and I can’t rate it high enough. There were 5 of us from Northern Ireland and we were totally welcomed by all staff and customers…. Best New Year’s Eve in a long time and will definitely be back. Such friendly staff and music was great

I've been here 3 times in the past 3 weeks. Twice for drinks and once for dinner. Excellent food as always and the staff are always on top form. Service always with a smile and genuine warmth.

Great wee pub! The only fault is the wee man in his late 40s/50s who stands near the door, he's definitely a member of staff, maybe even the owner. He just loves to give everyone into bother and moan about something. Kills the vibe of the place because this wee 5 foot man is running about telling people off. I was told by him I wouldn't get served anymore as I was too drunk (while I was standing with a 0% beer as I don't drink) gave me a good giggle right enough. Went across the road to another bar after that. Can't fault the bar staff though, they are absolutely amazing!

Went out on a works night Xmas breakup... Booked this place as a second choice because our "go to," which is amazing, had been booked out... Booked two months in advance for this place and wow... What an absolute shambles... Arrived at 6pm for our 6pm booking, to be told that we were "too" early and they weren't ready for us... They actually had double booked us and we were promised a free round for their mess up..... They tried to move us halfway through our dinner.... Yes.... Our actual dinner, then withdrew our complimentary drink because "apparently" we didn't want/refused to move.... Halfway through our meal.... You know.... Move our actual food, plates, drinks to another table because they double booked us.... Food might be nice but, never...... Never again will we.... Table of eight.... Will never ever book.... Nor recommend this pace for anyone for just out of pure respect for not honoring their guests..... If I could give Minus stars I would. DISGRACE...

Arrived on time. We were told we were early and to come back, then told they had booked us for drinks instead of food, and promised us a free round, halfway through our meal we were asked to move and again promised another free round, we said we would after our meal and tried to pay as quick as we could. When I then asked about the 2 free rounds that were promised we were denied, they told the people waiting on our table we refused to leave, and got looks off them for the next 20 minutes. Food was good, service was absolutely appalling, they are lucky we paid for our meal and left, never again would I go back, if I could give them minus stars I would, I believe our server was names Lucy

Absolutely enjoyable. Lovely small restaurant with neat decor. Very attentive staff. We had the shared Mexican platter for 29£ More than enough for 2. Served fast and hot and tasty. Reasonable drinks. Will return again in 2 nights.

We went to Soulsa for the first time and we will definitely be back, it’s a fantastic bar, the drinks and food are amazing, the staff are also really lovely and attentive. They had karaoke on later in the evening and the atmosphere was superb. Wish I’d known about this place before now. If you haven’t been before then I’d highly recommend it. Place is amazing!!!!

Stopped for a quick lunch midweek, hoping for a nice sandwich. All expectations exceeded by absolutely delicious sandwiches and soup at very reasonable prices. Would have liked to stay for longer and sample the cocktail menu!

Booked the place for a celebrations. Great space to book in advance and celebrate different ocassions. All drinks and coctails available with great selection .food menie is more to a vegy side , tex mex and fellafels but it all looked good with a nive portiins . This is the lunch menue so plenty of wraps and rolls on the go

My chicken pasta was the blandest meal I've ever had the displeasure to pay money for. The wings were ok but 'Frank's sauce' had a bit of a funny aftertaste. Waitresses were great but service was a bit slow and as we had an appointment, we did say we had 45 mins, it left us trying to scoff it down with seconds to spare. And the mini quesadilla was tasty, but overpriced. Shame, nice bar and interesting decor.

Food quality is excellent, up there with some of the best. Evening just popping in for a couple of pints the Bar staff are very friendly. I highly recommend Bar Soulsa on your next visit to Glasgow

Lovely freshly made food, good beer & great service. So nice to have cauliflower buffalo wings on the menu, with a yummy avocado salad & tasty ranch dressing. Other meals we picked were the veggie fajitas, packed a punch & CBA sandwich. All home made.

We visited Soulsa for food for a friend's birthday. Portions were huge and delicious, staff couldn't be more helpful. We ended up coming back later for drinks and had a brilliant night. The music and karaoke were absolutely spot on, atmosphere was great and we felt so at home. Thanks for really making our night

Went to this little gem of a place last night for my birthday and it was such a great night,food was lovely,staff were great and all round a great atmosphere and karaoke host had a fab voice and got the crowd going, will definitely be back.

The food was a fusion sort of menu. Thought it might be more Cajun. But, there were some with Mexican flair. Southern favorite Mac n' Cheese was my Grandson's selection, loved it. I tried the soup of the day, Curried Lentil & bread it was delicious and a plate of beef nachos, spicy, good and for a small bite it was more than I could eat. Loved the set up if tables, chairs and the long padded seating with chairs for 2 or 4. Waiter was outstanding and people were starting to que up for karaoke at 8pm. Bar area was cozy and the overall noise level was really comfortable.

Visit as part of a group. Waitperson was attentive and helpful. Food was delicious and good portions. Only slight problem was it was freezing. I had to keep my jacket on which isn’t very comfortable to eat. We skipped dessert as too cold 🥶

Go there regularly with Glasgow Steampunks. The staff are friendly and fun. They have a good range of rums and the food is excellent. They have entertainment some nights. I always feel welcome when I'm there.

We stopped here for lunch as we were passing and it looked interesting. We are so glad we did! This is quirky little place is a diamond! The decor is fantastic, the atmosphere is so comfortable, the staff are accommodating and friendly and I can't even begin to describe how exceptional the food was *chefs kiss* we will definitely be back!

We searched for mexican type food in Glasgow and Soulsa came out top of our pile. We weren’t disappointed - fresh, home cooked fare. Burger rolls fresh, nice little additions like mac n cheese on the burger. Wife and I both enjoyed everything we ate. Owner served us and was very friendly and good, quick service. Definitely recommend. Had cheaper lunch menu at £10.95. Music was good too 👍🏻

It's been a while since I was here but it's still a great wee place, well worth a visit for a drink or a snack.

Didn't eat just in for a few drinks and the service was spot on, beautiful decor. Staff lovely & for 2 pints and a prosecco was £13 (maybe odds) which I thought for town was reasonable.

Love Soulsa's soup and sandwich deal! Fills you nicely with hitting an afternoon slump at work. Staff as lovely as always and the service is always really quick.
