The food in Cherry & Heather is excellent, high quality and delicious. They have their own unique style, blending asian recipes with local favourites. They offer a variety of food to suit different budgets and dietary requirements. The food feels home cooked with obviously fresh ingredients. The sausage rolls are incredible. A tiny cafe with Japanese and Indonesian leanings, just off Paisley Road West at Cessnock - just what you'd expect. . .Interesting fresh soups made daily, delicious coffee and sandwiches such as Croque Monsieur, humous, bacon, pesto, Mediterranean vegetable. More exotic spicy Tinderbox-style filled rolls are also available. Educated staff will quote allergen specifications and those with gluten-free and vegan requirements are well catered for. A secret bolt-hole for those escaping Pacific Quay institutions such as BBC Frame, STV for posh lunches and tasty treats!

My Mum and went for a quick lunch with my Son and his girlfriend as this cafe is just round the corner from his flat and it had good reviews. What a find .. It's tiny but warm and welcoming and has a great menu of rolls ( not your cheese and tomato type .. ) , wraps , cakes and teas and coffees . Also a selection of Vegan and nice chocolates and teas to buy as gifts . However , The Indonesian chicken noodle Laska soup was divine . It was a huge bowl and fresh and fragrant and at £5 .. six hours later I'm still full.. The bill for four ( one noodle soup , One homemade soup and roast beef roll , one roast beef roll , another roll , a wrap , a nice juice ,a tea and two lovely coffees.... £22 .. I can't complain .. I'll be visiting my son more often ...

It says on the Cherry and Heather website, "We believe that good food definitely makes people happy." I'm not sure that life is as simple as that but I have to say their food did in fact make us very happy! I had the Indonesian noodle pot and my wife the "special" which was a Satay dish and both were amazing, really fresh, tasty homemade cooking at it's best. Very good size of portions, excellent value. The only slight downside is there are no customer toilets so you'd need to go before you go if you know what I mean! Also, they could maybe do with a bit of background music to help improve the ambience. But as far as the food and service are concerned we couldn't fault it - fanatastic!

I was at our Glasgow office and a colleague of old suggested lunch, as he had to post something. Pulling up next to the post office a choice was offered, sandwich or....and I quote "this other place does the best chicken noodle soup ever" I hesitated, then went for the soup. The place is very clean, has a few of those bits that you love to look at and then try, and an excellent young lady serving. Then the soup, wowsers, a great bowl, a good price and just very, very tasty. Highly recommend a stop here, for a bit of pass the time conversation and great great food. There is a review on the wall from a local paper, a quick read gives you an idea of the passion of the owner about good food at a good price, a piece of true reporting for a change. As ever there's always one problem.....I live in Yorkshire, Cherry & Heather is in Glasgow !!!

This tiny cafe is excellent for getting away from the main road noise....try their delicious fresh sandwich selection with a homemade soup for only £5! Or the daily special for a round the same price. Or what about a mini cherry brownie. Or a tasty fresh sushi? The coffee is smooth and freshly made too! They also have a small selection of fine quality teas and other foodstuffs. Service is efficient and pleasant and there is also a selection of magazines to browse. I came across this place initially as a caterer to Maggies. Maggies is a cancer support organisation based in Gartnavel hospital. I found it difficult to believe that with the magnificent west end in its doorstep the food following our nutrition class came from the south side. So I went to investigate. The people, who look close by it are very lucky. It's only opened 9 to 5 Monday to Friday and the soups and sandwiches are DELICIOUS .I wish I could give the food and the value for money an even higher rating

The chef here is a "Food Wizard", from someone who is usually a fussy eater, you can order anything from the menu here and you will love it. Be adventurous with your order, try things you would not normally try you will not be disappointed. The Indonesian noodle pot is one of my favorites, it is a big meal and will fill you up by it's self. My favorite soup is Javanese Lentil and my favorite sandwich is either Brie & caramelised red onion or the tuna & olive but everything s lovely. I get lunch from here almost everyday ( soup s usually ready around 11-11.30am).

This is an absolute gem of a place. Easily the best sushi I've ever had and probably the single tastiest sandwich too! (Thai meatball...). Maybe not the cheapest but I've driven across glasgow for them. Have heard the chef also works at Stavaigin (though that's not been verified to me) which would explain the quality and why it's not open as often as I'd like! They're also now selling sanwiches in tinderbox which is a decent reference although the prices are higher there. They do a good buffet catering service as well. Definately worth supporting.
