Brasserie 16 in East Devon

We visited the Devoncourt Brasserie on Sunday 27 oct for the carvery. There was 16 of us 8 Adults and 8 children the greeting was warm and very friendly the food the carvery was one of the best I’ve ever had the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We wouldn’t hesitate to revisit the next time we are in Exmouth. G. Powlson and Family.

We had Sunday Lunch and it was lovely. Served a choice of carvery meats, with Yorkshire Pudding, Pigs in Blankets and Stuffing, then helped ourselves to the vast selection of vegetables. All delicious. There are two sittings for Sunday lunch, 12 noon & 1.30pm. We will be eating there again & would definitely recommend. Would suggest making a reservation, as it does get busy.

All reception staff were very kind and helpful. Angela and Dave in the dining room could not have done more for us and all the other visitors. We look forward to seeing them all again soon.

Enjoyed very much, well worth staying. The views are spectacular. The staff very help and friendly. The breakfast was very good.

We were seated by the lovely waiting staff in the restaurant and sat at a window table which had the most beautiful view!! The food was so fresh and hot, beautifully cooked! Absolutely delicious!! Me and my family had the most splendid time and will definitely be returning!! The staff were exceptional, hard working and so so friendly, probably the nicest the people I’ve ever met!! Sarah was an absolute treat, I didn’t need desert!!

Great Sunday carvery - perfect for bringing my elderly parents - old school puds that they love and they really looked after them.

Amazing breakfast, fabulous food and service. Angela was warm, friendly and knowledgeable especially as I am a coeliac and dairy intolerant. Would highly recommend the hotel and breakfast. The grounds are beautiful and easy access to Exmouth’s lovely beach and promenade.

Me & fiancé & kids came down. Upon entering the hotel the receptionists were absolutely lovely and very helpful. The hotel was clean & tidy. The bar tender (Dave) helped us loads of times. Both pools were very pleasant, the outdoor nice and cool for this time of year and the indoor lovely and warm. At breakfast the staff (Dave & Sarah) were phenomenal. Car park could be re-designed if anything but that’s probably very expensive.

Really enjoyed the meal. I had battered fish. Delicious!. Service was great and the restaurant has a superb view of the sea whilst you are eating your meal. Devon was our waiter and was very cool (yes thats his name!) Definitely recommend a vist!

We live in Exmouth and occasionally come to this wonderful hotel and restaurant. We Had the fizz and chips, which was lovely. The service was first class as well Loyd and Devon were very helpful, attentive made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend

Lovely spacious restaurant and a nice choice for breakfast. Added bonus of scrambled eggs to order cooked to perfection how I like them. Lovely place and the views were amazing… just what was required for my birthday break away!

A highly recommended hotel. This is always my favourite place to come and unwind both as a couple or on my own. It always feels home from home. Fabulous Sunday evening carvery. Best nut roast we’ve ever had with at least six types of vegetables & yorkshires. Three meat choices with pigs in blankets on the side. Such great value. We’ll be back

Had a lovely afternoon tea here. Fabulous food and a great view of the sea. David kept us well stocked with tea all afternoon. Would recommend.

Breakast always excellent with wide choice and good service from all staff with special mention to Angela and Sarah. Dinners also good with excellent carvery meal on a sunday. All staff always excellent.

Great views of garden and water. Turkey curry with mango chutney was very good. We also had a burger, lasagna and beef goulash plus a side of cheese chips so there's a great variety of offerings. The cider was wonderful so much better than in the states where they are usually way too sweet.g

Came for my daughters hen do with her nans. The spa was excellent and had great facilities. The afternoon tea that we had after was excellent. There was so much food that we got to take some home xx

We had a spa afternoon followed by afternoon tea. The staff were brilliant and so helpful. The spa was lovely but the afternoon tea was amazing. So much food which we had some to take home with us. We came for the granddaughters hen do and it was so good.

We came for my hen do with my grandparents and mum , was a lovely few hours , was a great experience we really enjoyed the swimming and other facilities, finished off with a yummy afternoon Tea.

We were staying at this hotel for the night and I had seen the reviews in Tripadvisor so decided to book in for the carvery. It was £9.95 for adults and less than £6 for kids. There were 4 meats but you could only choose 2 they wouldn’t let you have a little of everything which was a shame and there were very strict over 1 Yorkshire per person. The chef did allow my daughter to have two but didn’t seem very happy at all although I explained it was really all she will eat other than the meat. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal there was a great selection of vegetables and the roast potatoes were lovely. The Carvery was open between 6-7pm so not long at all. Couple of little moans one that the serving spoons were so hot under the heating lights that one elderly woman did yelp in pain. The other is that the hotel is soo hot, i found this really uncomfortable when you are eating a large meal. on the whole,

We had a wonderful afternoon making use of the spa sauna and pool paid for by my partner for my 65th Birthday Would highly recommend , the panoramic view from the dining room is amazing and the staff are very helpful and cheerful What a treat !!

Heard good things about this place wish I had not bothered,ordered steak pie,didn’t think there was much choice on menu,the pie came separate with a bit of gravy ,asked for some gravy as you do,sorry that’s all you get,couldn’t believe it,while the steak was very good,hardly any gravy made it so dry which spoilt it,would not recommend or come back,,shocking customer service IMO,very bc poor

Me and some friends came to the hotel for a spa experience followed by afternoon tea. The spa facilities are clean and spacious and the food was delicious. Staff and really friendly and helpful.

Yet another very pleasant time, eating here on Sunday lunch time, with good friends. Good selection of meat and vegetables and finished with cremè brulee.

We had the most wonderful day we paid for a spa day, we actually felt like we were on holiday abroad, all thanks to a gentleman called Dave , he was a true Gent and honestly made our day . Thankyou Dave x

As a family we absolutely love it here. Everyone is so friendly. Angela, Sarah and Stewart are fabulous at their jobs, making breakfast an enjoyable experience. There was a good choice of food on the menu. There was a lovely atmosphere with a lovely view overlooking the hotel grounds and sea. The food was very quick and hot.

A great all round hotel experience - Angela and Sarah very well organised in the breakfast room. The guy behind the bar was friendly and recommended a complimentary wine for my fish and chips. All the staff are positive and friendly - clean room with a sea view. Business trip but felt like a holiday😀

Lovely friendly service. The staff go above and beyond to accommodate their guests. Angela and Sarah made us feel welcome and would do anything they could to help. Beautiful location with fantastic gardens to enjoy after food. We stayed on site and had a lovely tasty breakfast each morning with a fantastic variety of foods all freshly cooked.

The breakfast is buffet style but nice and fresh, plenty of choice of traditional English fry up, fruit, yogurt, cereals and pastries.

Enjoyed a beautiful Saturday having an afternoon tea for 2 at Brasserie 16. Fantastic service provided by David ( couldn't do enough for us), we were seated straight away overlooking the sea and beautiful gardens. Provided with our drinks and food within minutes. Our sandwiches and cakes were beautiful and more than enough; so much so we had a box to take away with us 😄 thank you- we'll be coming back again !

First Sunday lunch since returning from visiting family in USA. Excellent food - 4 fresh roast meats and numerous vegetables. Service from Angela and Sarah was excellent. Wonderful views from the restaurant.

Lovely restaurant with sea views. Help yourself buffet breakfast with good quality ingredients, we have also had the Sunday Carvery which offers varied meat choices alongside beautifully cooked vegetables. We definitely recommend Brasserie 16 at The Devoncourt Hotel.

Everything was well presented and hot. All staff were very attentive and friendly especially Sarah and Angela. Breakfast was very good and plenty of choice.

We had an amazing stay, the hotel has a beautiful garden, the staff is nice and the outdoor pool so refreshing during hot summer days. Short walk to the seaside :)

Excellent reception on arrival, had the carvery which was excellent, plenty of choice of meat and vegetables, which was cooked perfectly, to top it all a great price, would highly recommend.

A good buffet and very friendly staff. We particularly enjoyed the hash browns. This is a return visit and would come again.

Lovely friendly hotel. Service very good. Food of a very high standard. Lovely facilities. Our only criticism is that the room and hotel itself it very dated. The hotel would benefit from a make over. I would suggest holding a designer competition (each designer gets an allocated room to do up) the winner wins a prize. Try bbc or itv ! There’s a program to be made here!!! Good luck! Please don’t knock this hotel down just revamp on a budget and free want to be the next fab designer Labour!

We have spent a glorious weekend at Devoncourt and the food has been excellent from breakfast in the morning to dinner in the evening. The staff have been welcoming and friendly.

We had a glorious carvery,help was personal and intuitive, the food was perfect The whole hotel is a hidden gem, with endless gardens and a health centre as well tucked away A well stocked bar and great service, with inexpensive prices too!

I have a very nice Friday lunch carvery. Food and service was great.

The carvery was delicious. I have a dairy intolerance and the chef made me a vegan brownie especially for this meal.
