Brilliant, loads of fun definitely come again and recommend to friends , one of the byes pubs I have been too, will definitely be coming back

Food was absolutely lovely, we both ordered burgers and they were really tasty. Service was quick and the lady who served us our food and drinks was very friendly and helpful. We will be returning next month for a night out! 😀

Brass Monkey: Where the Drinks Are Strong and Liam Is Stronger! If you haven’t been to Brass Monkey yet, you’re seriously missing out on one of life’s finer adventures. He has this uncanny ability to make you feel like you’ve been lifelong friends within five minutes, all while casually balancing a tray of shots that he swears “aren’t that strong” (spoiler: they are). The decor? Perfectly dive-bar chic. The music? On point. But let’s be honest, the real star of Brass Monkey is Liam. He’ll convince you to try the strangest concoctions with the confidence of a guy who’s survived many questionable life choices. And somehow, they’re all amazing. If you’re looking for a night of great drinks, unexpected laughs, and a guy named Liam who might just become a local legend, Brass Monkey is the place to be. Just be warned—you’ll leave with stories you probably shouldn’t tell anyone!

Because they have a great selection of real ales, e food is great and plenty of sports. .

Great environment and great service, Megan went above and beyond to help me and my family to have a fab visit going through the menue to find what suits us will be Recommending to friends for a spot of lunch set us up for a nice day in town!

*sigh* so, we came in hungry left hangry .The steak we ordered was inconsistently cooked through out. Vegetarian options were scarce and wrong orders were brought out, no cheese on nachos :(. Chicken looked dry and sad. Usually like the food in here

Food is great, compliments to the chefs. Thought though what with all your competitors you would at least have free refills on tea or coffee?would it be to much to ask I dunno, any ways I do have one compliment being disabled you'd think you would at least make sure that the disabled toilet signs clear (it's not) and it should be able to lock but it's been three weeks and it's still broken and trying to walk down stairs when it's busy is a complete @#£%^& nightmare belive me. But the staff a very polite and courteous.

I don’t often write reviews but thought I had to. There were some guys that were being too much and not leaving me alone. Shaun was so nice and really helped resolve the situation. He made me feel secure and safe. Such a great bloke to have around.

I had a limited edition stone island jumper. Someone stole the badge off of the jumper. Luckily, Shaun was on hand and got the badge back for me. What a guy

Situated at the top of royal parade shop side. A very spacious pub. A reasonable selection of pub style food. Offering taste for most pallets from light bites to main meals and desserts. I had a full English Breakfast which was good. There is a large selection of drinks from beers to spirits, cocktails to cocktails. Also a selection of beverages, coffees of various sorts and teas also hot chocolate. It's quite clean considering it gets a lot of use. There is disabled access but parking is in muti story or paid street parking. Toilets are ok for the size of the pub. Prices are reasonable for its city centre position. On the main shopping area and close to the barbican and the Hoe. I will use again and it's worth a visit. Lively at weekends. I have altered my star rating as I made a mistake. Should have been 4 not 3 stars. Appologies to brass monkey

Waitress was friendly and helpful but the food was terrible, we had a full refund, the first dish I ordered was the Thai coconut curry, the waiter said be careful it's hot, the rice was hot but the curry was cold. I ordered a different dish, burger and chips but the burger looked good but was the blandest burger I have ever tasted, we won't be visiting again.

Popped in here today for lunch on passing during a day trip to Plymouth, never been before. Looking at the reviews now I am surprised they are good so I don't know if we just got an off day, but the food was horrendous! My daughter had an all day breakfast, the mushrooms looked like they had been reheated multiple times, were tiny and crinkly, the baked beans were dry as anything, the bacon was rock solid, the toast was very dry, the whole meal was 100% not freshly cooked, like there was no care put into the meal at all, just chucked onto a plate and microwaved. Mine and my sons chips were barely warm and the burgers looked really thrown together with the thinnest burger pattys. My daughter left majority of her meal. Paying £40 for 3 meals I expected better. Also I only saw 2 workers but both didn't crack the slightest smile when ordering/delivering food/drinks, there was no friendly feel from them at all. I would definitely not recommend after today's experience and definitely won't return!

I love this place so much. First time going I got the chicken burger with chips and I side off onion rings. It came very quickly nice and hot as well. It’s amazing

Four cask ales on tap,well kept. Service and staff excellent, being a Camra member helps to reduce costs of a pint. Bus stops just out side.

To loud and disabled toilet rank the whole place needs gutting asap I am a regular customer but the staff are excellent this is in a prime spot in Plymouth

Great place to go for food and drinks, the waitress (I think her name was Anka) was very helpful with my dietary requirements, table was nice and clean, kept checking on us to make sure everything was okay or if we needed anything.

After having lunch today, all I can say is, the short grey/white haired german gentleman that served me went above and beyond in their role. He made sure my visit was extremely pleasurable. I would definitely recommend visiting on Tuesdays and Thursdays if you want the best service, from this short fellow. His English is perfect, except for the word screw, which he butchered, but we had a laugh. I will definitely be back on Tuesday and Thursday

We recently had the pleasure of enjoying a lunch and drinks at Brass Monkey. We were served by Anke, and it was nothing short of excellent. The atmosphere was great. All the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, but especially Anke as she made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal and checked in throughout. The selection of drinks was impressive, with a range of ales, wines, and classic pub favourites with some drinks recommended by Anke. Everything about our visit was spot on, from the service to the ambiance and, of course, the amazing Anke. We need more people like Anke.

Lunch on Tuesday was made better by the waitress (slight accent) didn’t catch her name she was really helpful as my child was vegetarian and a little fussy eater. Thank you

Oh my !!! Im not sure what im expecting when i came sticky tabled pub (reduce your chemical usage will get rid of that stick to water for bit) Food was cold and burnt which well the chefs got talent to get done overall alright but very much cheap grub not worth the cheapness Only visiting so ill let u decide :p Food cold and burnt which is a miracle in its self

After taking my daughter of two weeks old out for her first outing the waitress judged our parenting saying “ why would you take her out somewhere with germs”. My partner got very upset thinking she was a bad parent (baring in mind it’s our first time out of the house) and I dragged her out to save her making herself feel bad stuck in the house. And secondly if she took the time to clean the table maybe us being sat as far away from anyone else in the corner wouldn’t be at risk of any germs

Came in with my friend for lunch today, the servers were so ignorant when serving us, didnt even say thank you either, do you really think they should be on FOH if they don’t have basic customer service skills?

Kareoke ..... I hate Kareoke! But to be honest it was scream

You pay £1_49 for a dribble of peppercorn sauce when you confront the manager she says thats what we get sent in chips are warmed up never frequent the establishment again thats why I rated a 1 it should of been a 0

Nice atmosphere and quality drinks with reasonable prices. Food is also a acceptable level of food . It's also a very good location near multiple bus routes

Always a good place to get a well priced meal and a cheeky pint. The place was busy and was advice of the wait time when ordering food. The food came quickly, Katsu chicken, and was delicious. This place can get very busy when a game is on but always remains friendly. Recommended

i have visited the Brass Money multiple times with friends and always received amazing service, however on sunday - 28th of april - a female employee treated my friend and i awfully. she slammed our drinks down so liquid spilled on the table, was overall just rude and impolite when talking to us and ultimately made us feel very uncomfortable. The waitress and i do have an older history of being friends who’s friendship ended amicably, however i ensured that i was respectful and polite - as i would treat any other person in the hospitality business - whereas i did not receive the same courtesy when being served by the employee. i ensured to order on the app and sit out of view to avoid any complications, due to not being aware that said employee was working in the establishment - i tried my best to remain respectful, impartial and polite. overall, i am disappointed in the experience, as i normally love drinking here and would appreciate if staff could treat all customers professionally and not bring anything personal or irrelevant when serving customers.

I wad away on business in Plymouth for the night. This place was perfect for good value food and a little drink. Downloaded the app and got a free drink. Staff were brilliantly helpful.

Friday night karaoke is so much fun, and the food is brilliant. Drinks are cheap too. Always reccomend to come here if you want a fun night out

Popped in to start the day with a great breakfast …..breakfast burger was amazing definitely recommend and the we actually dropped back in to escape the rain and had a few drinks to start the weekend off.

Terrible service from the so called manger he said my id was fake I got my mate to come in we both have the same one and he said they were both fake. Either show them what id looks like and educate them on it or I’ll take this futher…….. they lost on a lot of money I won’t be coming in here again!!!

DJ GARRY IS CORRUPT WAITED FOR MY SONG TO BE PLAYED DURING KARAOKE FRIDAY FOR AGES WHILE THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT HAVE SANG ABOUT 5 TIMES YES I AM TALKING ABOUT YOU NIGEL. SAFF VERY NICE AND NICE ATMOSPHERE HOWEVER KARAOKE LINE UP UNFAIR, THE DJ LITERALLY STOPED THE QUEUE TO SING WITH NIGEL. UPDATE : MY FRIEND BUT HIS REQUEST NEARLY 1:30 hours after mine. Had breakfast here this morning, very good sized portions, friendly staff, clean with football highlights on the tv’s. Price wasn’t too expensive, Very good

We had a great family meal with food drink and deserts. Sylvia served us fabulously. The food came out quickly and was piping hot and well presented. Jamie and Dan were the chefs, It was really worth the visit Thankyou to all involved.
