We waited 30 minutes after ordering coffee and food . We didn’t even get the drinks ! I waited for a refund from the manager who did not even speak to me , no apology for the wait no acknowledgement whatsoever . It’s as though we were invisible ! Not a good experience Poor customer service , this was our second visit , we were warned last time be a very long wait so we left but decided to try again ! Waste of time your custom is not appreciated found him very rude , no people skills , can’t believe he’s a manager !

This atmospheric café is located within Church Walks in Ormskirk. It is recommended to reserve a table for afternoon tea. Our welcome was mildly erratic, staff were friendly but a little bit distracted on arrival. A vegetarian sandwich order arrived with bacon but it was immediately rectified, no issues. The combination of coffee, wrap or sandwiches, plus a variety of cakes and a scone each was perfect. Everything fresh, plentiful and tasty. Boxes available to take what you can't eat home. £16 is a fair price for this experience. To repeat when the waistline subsides.

My partner and I went to Bramley's on Saturday and, as always, the food was outstanding. The chicken and bacon salad was delicious and it was clear that it was made with fresh and quality ingredients. The service was perfect and the staff are always so warm and welcoming. We love visiting this little gem in Ormskirk and couldn't recommend it enough!

I met friends for our annual get together and chose Bramleys because I have never been disappointed with my trips there. It didn't disappoint as usual, the staff were friendly and efficient, the doors were open and the outside seating area was full and looked lovely in the afternoon sun.... very Parisian. The food (chicken fajita panini, chicken & bacon salad, lifestyle platter & prawn sandwich) were all freshly cooked and delicious, portions were plentiful and it was excellent value. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bramleys nowhere compares to here in Ormskirk for daytime food and drink. Individual independent business which is a credit to the owners.

Absolutely dreadful. The Chicken Tikka wrap should be renamed onion & pepper wrap. Duppisedly toasted wrap was soggy & almost inedible. Earl Grey tea served with a wedge of lemon instead of a slice. Been a regular here since it first opened. Poor value for money. Better places locally for lunch. Disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic! A very busy day but the food was amazing. It was a special occasion and I was traveling from abroad for a Mother’s Day afternoon tea. Couldn’t fault the food in any way at all it was fantastic. Delicious very filled sandwiches which tasted great and the most fabulous cakes. They where very good to accommodate us outside with a dog at short notice. My mother is a cake maker and she was delighted with what we were served. Will be back again soon. I’m so glad I chose Bramleys for this special occasion.

This place can't be beaten. Food delicious, service and ambience. I brought my Mum-in-law for Mother's day. She thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff can't do enough for you.

I had my baby shower today at Bramleys. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. The set up was fabulous and the afternoon tea delicious - everyone commented on how lovely the venue was. Really wide range of gluten free options. I went for the steak roll which was tasty and the chips were delicious. The gluten eaters also loved their choices - BLT in particular was a hit. Massive potions for all meals so no room for cake so will have to return!

The best Christmas lunch! I've visited all the different Golf clubs in the area and had the Christmas menu. I've got to say the meal I had at Bramleys has got to be by far the best. Why? Service, atmosphere and the presentation of the food. My pet hate is lukewarm food - this was piping hot. The meat was plentiful and delicious. 😋

Pleasant place in a good town-centre location but very overpriced, in my opinion. The latte was very nice, but bacon roll extremely ordinary. I'm used to paying about £5 for those but here it was nearly twice that.

Another lovely visit to Bramleys today for lunch. I had the chicken club sandwich which was huge and a very reasonable price my husband had the veggie bites, 2 large muffins topped with fresh tomatoe slices loaded with mushrooms and melted cheese - one of his favourite small plates. The hot chocolate and cappuccino as always delicious, all this served in a lovely relaxing atmosphere by lovely friendly staff. Looking forward to our next visit.

You need more staff. I’ve been here twice before and experienced the same… The staff you have are working really hard. This has an impact on customer experience… won’t be returning…

I visited Bramleys on a busy Friday lunchtime with a group of friends and wasn't disappointed yet again. The food was tasty and varied, the service was excellent and the staff were friendly and efficient. As a group we had a wonderful time and were very well cared for and all agreed we would be back very soon, possibly to try the delicious Christmas lunches that are available in December.

Came here for the first time, what a delightful place. The staff are amazing polite, friendly and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble. I tried the homemade pea soup, just the right texture and so tasty and the bread not a warmed up stale cob but nice fresh roll. For mains I had the lasagne and my friend the chicken curry. Both dishes where extremely tasty and great portion sizes. I particularly liked the cheese sauce as opposed to bland becheml sauce. The latte and the pot of tea where also both very nice. We had the chocolate and orange cake and lemon meringue which again very tasty. Excellent value, we will.be back soon. We really enjoyed ourselves.

This establishment is set back and can easily be missed . First impressions upon entering is it’s very welcoming environment. The staff and especially the young lady who serves me and friend can only be described as top of the game. Really warm welcome , can quickly engage in a conversation and provide recommendations. The food was really nice and upmost filling, you will not be disappointed with the portions, be that a main or dessert, even the pot of tea I had I managed to get four cups of tea. I had the curry which was really hot in temperature which is a good start, although very tomato based, meals are cooked to order which is impressive. The chocolate and orange cake is really tasty and moist and optional to have with cream at no extra charge , the potions are very good. They do also take Amex as I know a lot of people that use this option will want to know. This place deserves five star and the customer service is exceptional, they cannot do enough for you , such a personal touch, especially as a lot of venues don’t seem to provide a great level of service.

What a very special place this is. Twice this week we have enjoyed a lovely freshly prepared breakfast, and excellent coffee! The staff are so friendly, thoughtful and kind. They even brought fresh water for our dog, and she was v happy. Highly recommended to anyone (i.e. everyone!) who enjoys proper home cooked quality food :-)

Recently used my birthday voucher present for an Afternoon Tea for 2 at Bramleys, Ormskirk with a friend . Lovely coffee shop that sells a variety of dishes cooked/ made fresh on the premises, and drinks. On the Afternoon tea were delicious freshly made sandwiches which the customer chooses as they arrive, tasty fresh scones with Jam and Cream, an array of different tasty cakes and a Large pot of tea served in a teapot with cups, though there was an option to have coffee if preferred. On arrival we were asked if we would like a drink whilst we waited for our Afternoon tea to be made up and opted for glasses of water that came with ice cubes, which was refreshing. Our server Abbie had excellent customer service skills and very attentive to our needs, checking if our food was satisfactory and if we needed anything else. I go regularly to Bramleys Coffee shop and food and service is always excellent but this was my first time having their Afternoon Tea, would highly recommend. Very attentive friendly staff on the floor and in the kitchen.

We found this place tucked away off a main street in Ormskirk. The menu had lots of choice. Food was very tasty and good value. The cafe is quite big with a nice seating area upstairs too. Staff were helpful. Would definitely recommend and would visit again.

I've been a regular customer for a few years and have never been disappointed. Love the coffee, the food is always spot on and the family who run it have made sure the atmosphere is always welcoming and cosy, even in these uncertain times! Tom (one of the family) always goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome and special, on my last visit he stopped to chat to one of the regulars who was sitting on her own which I thought was just lovely and shows they truly care about their customers!

My wife and I went to Bramleys on our afternoon off, to nostalgically remind ourselves of visits we made there in the past. The service we got from the owner was appalling, hence the 1 star.I ordered chicken burger and it came as I wished so no problem with that.My wife ordered a Grilled Chicken Salad but asked if she could substitute the bacon and croutons for feta cheese and olives. The waiter came back said it was fine - that was pretty much their Greek Salad. My wife said that’s fine, but specifically said that it should still come with the grilled fresh chicken.The salad arrived with heated pre-cooked chicken (a bit like you get in a McDonalds salad)My wife asked for the grilled fresh chicken that would have come in the salad she originally asked for.They took it away and grilled the pre-cooked chicken. The interactions with the waiting staff were all very good natured, until the lady (who we later learned was the owner) came out with an attitude of “there's a problem customer who's trying to get something for nothing and needs sorting out” - right from the outset. She was very confrontational indeed. In spite of this, my wife was very polite and good natured, and patiently explained and re-explained (and re-explained) what had happened, to no avail. I tried to explain as well. The lady just didn’t understand, insisting that we’d ordered a Greek Salad, which we hadn’t.My wife could see it was going nowhere, so we agreed to disagree, finished our meal and we paid for it. My wife was of course insistent on receiving the meal she had ordered, but was polite, patient and courteous throughout.The Owner has dared to insult me by suggesting I was embarrassed. It doesn’t reflect very well on them or their business to behave in such a petty and amateur way. My wife is perfectly capable of dealing with her complaint herself without needing someone else to step in. Sorry if that doesn’t fit in with a rather outdated view that the man must take over the situation.The owner made a very poor decision to take the approach they did - instead of listening and trying to resolve the problem. It could have been very simply resolved but instead they came out to the customer with a pre-conceived view of who was to blame, and didn’t budge from that.Why not reflect on whether, instead of making false accusations, or arranging some 5-star reviews to move this down the screen, you could have apologised for not listening and for not bringing the food we actually ordered.
